AFTER a terrific Tuesday it wasn't a bad Wednesday but it could have been better.
My main Super Single was 2pts on Real Madrid and they won at Shakhtar Donetsk despite a late scare.
The second was a more speculative punt on Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score first in Malmo. The anytime scorer price was a bit short for a Super Single although we all knew he'd the target at some point.
I needed a CSKA Moscow for the Top Treble and a Lincoln winner would have given me a nice treble on the long shot.
On the members' forum the Betting Club money was on a Real/Atletico double and now stands at just over £43.
My Bet of the Day £10 to £100 challenge is on £30.40 after Tuesday's winnings went on Ibrahimovic to score at 3-5.
Greg put up a couple of winners from Armenia in the morning but his nap on over 2.5 goals at Juventus v Man City was a loser.
Thursday is all about the Europa League and I've posted a preview featuring Celtic v Ajax and a separate one detailing who needs to do what in all of the groups – that piece also points out teams such as Napoli, Dortmund and Spurs are fielding weakened teams.
With Celtic missing midfielders Scott Brown, Nir Bitton, Stefan Johansen and Kris Commons it will be a tough task for Ronny Deila's men.
Ajax look big at a best price of 2-1 at boylesports and in today's Daily Record I have Ajax draw no bet as the Super Single. With the players Celtic are missing it will be tough to grab the win they need and while they drew 2-2 in Holland I expect Frank de Boer's men to follow the lead of Molde and grab the points.
I'm putting that up now as a 4pt tip (stake back if it's a draw) and while I considered Bruges at home to Napoli, Augsburg at home to Athletic Bilbao and Fiorentina at Basel I'm sticking with one single and a couple of trebles.
The Top Treble starts with on-form Augsburg not to lose to a Bilbao side who have been poor on the road with just two wins in 11. Add Liverpool, who are expected to field a close to full-strength side at home to Bordeaux, and complete with Monaco, one defeat in 11, against an Anderlecht side whose fans aren't travelling.

In December 2020 we sadly 
Almost managed to wipe out this months losses over the last two days but won’t be staking quite so high on the Europa fixtures. Group leaders and already qualified Austria Vienna head to Spain to face Villarreal where both sides will likely be battling it out for top spot in the final group game if Villarreal can avoid defeat. The Spaniards can level Vienna on points with a win and seal their playoff fate with a point. Vienna on the other hand can qualify top with a win, or a point will give them a better chance of top position playing group whipping boys Minsk in match six.
Thirteen of Vienna’ sixteen league games have seen over 2.5 goals this season with a 68% ratio with both teams scoring. Three of their four group games also going over 2.5. Villarreal’ league games haven’t been quite so goal laden but four of their six home games have seen over 2.5, with five of the six seeing BTTS. Three of their four group games have also seen over 2.5 goals. The h2h in Austria saw the home side win 2-1. I think both can score here despite Vienna already being qualified. This is the hardest game left for either team so every point could be vital going into the last group game with top spot still up for grabs.
I do like the idea of over 2.5 in Basel/Fiorentina too. Again thirteen of the Swiss’ sixteen league games have seen over 2.5 goals with a 75% ratio of BTTS. They have also lost their last two domestic games. Fiorentina are on a decent run, unbeaten in their last five scoring 2 or more in the process. Fiorentina’ games aren’t quite so consistent for goals, but three of their four in the group have gone over 2.5 with the reverse fixture seeing Basel win 2-1, so they’ll be looking to induce some revenge. Both qualification spots still up for grabs and BTTS has a chance so hopefully that leads us to goals.

Tottenham look good value at 11/10 and will be my main bet of the day.
We all know how good Spurs are at the moment bagging 15 goals in their last 5 games! 2 months ago they beat Qarabag 3-1
and that was with out Kane. Intrestingly the 5 games they before there last meeting Spurs had only scored 5. So form says it should be another win for Tottenham who will desperately want a good result here being just 3 points ahead of Qarabag even though they are at different ends of the table.
Molde v Fenerbahce Both teams to score and over 2.5 10/11
Both teams have an attacking way of playing with there last meeting seeing 4 goals. Mode’s last 8 games have all seen over 2.5 with 4 of them seeing both teams score. Its a very big game for Fenerbahce who do have the better team on paper. Anything but a win here and the Celtic v Ajax game could see them drop into 3rd with an Ajax win.

Groningen miss their strikers De Leeuw and Mahi. Midfielder Tibbeling is rested and their coach added 3 youngsters to the squad. Payne, Bijl and Jasper who played one game between them this season. Goals are expected if you look at the odds, but I don’t think Groningen are able to score. They scored once in the Europa League and that was a penalty. Nobody expected Twente to be in a relegation battle a couple of years ago. The financial trouble at Twente have their effect on the team this season. They have a very small squad and they are using unexperienced players. The defence is mostly made out of youngsters. Drommel (GK 18), Van der Lely (18), Bijen (20) and Ter Avest (18) all play their first season in the Eredivisie. Twente are in relegation form, conceding 31 goals in 13 games, with 16 conceded in their last 4 games. Willem II scored 8 in their last 5 games (2,2,1,2,1) and a total of 14 this season. 13 of these were scored in their last 8 games. I think they will get a goal against a Twente side in serious trouble.
Big odds on Zwolle to score if you check the stats. Zwolle only failed to score in 2 of 13 games this season and scored in all their 7 home games. They only failed to score at home twice in 36 home games since November 2013. They scored in all their home games against Ajax since their promotion in 2012. Ajax played in Europe in midweek and conceded in their last 4 away, Zwolle should be able to score a goal here.
To boost the odds to evens I take Feyenoord to score at their city ‘rivals’ Excelsior. Feyenoord have never failed to score against them and there will be more Feyenoord fans than Excelsior fans in the stadium

They got too the final last year and they are doing well in the league this year but Rangers and Hibs will pull away eventually and I don’t see them being in a fight to finish in the play off places as they are far more consistent than the teams below them. So from that point of view a cup run shouldn’t do them too much damage.
