IT'S another busy Saturday and one of the last few weeks where we still get the best quality flat racing.

I have quite a few running today I am keen on. The first is TWIN APPEAL (2.35 Chester) in a race that won’t be covered on ITV Racing but you can watch on most apps or Racing UK if you are a subscriber.

Twin Appeal has impressed me a few times recently in defeat and although he has to race under a penalty today for his win last time out he is still well handicapped on his old form and shouldn’t be an each-way price in this race today. He is nicely drawn in stall 4 at Chester and he can go close.

The next one I am strong on runs immediately afterwards at Haydock so make sure you don’t miss it. OAK PARK (2.40pm Haydock) looked like a horse that would be winning next time out. He gets a 6lb weight pull over the horses ahead of him in the betting today and I think he looks like great value.

I am in danger of turning POLLY DOUGLAS (2.45pm Navan) into a cliff horse but he is so consistent at his fairly modest level and looks destined to win one of these large field handicaps in Ireland sooner rather than later.

Everything is ideal for him today – he is a course and distance winner, carries a nice weight and the ground is fine. Perhaps if he doesn’t win today I will accept defeat but at the odds he is great each-way value again.

Over at Newmarket they have the best quality racing of the day and my first selection at that track is EMARAATY ANA (3.00pm Newmarket) who I can't believe is available at 12/1.

There is plenty of 10/1 available too so don’t worry if you can’t get on at 12/1, the 10s is still very good each-way value in my view. The horse won the Gimcrack last time out at York in good style and is up against an Irish Group 3 winner in the shape of Ten Sovereigns who although impressive wasn’t beating a whole lot of classy horses and looks like a risky odds-on shot to me.

Jash has been impressive too and Sergei Prokofiev could return to form but I think my selection is the standout value choice.

The huge race of the day, in every sense of the word, is the Bet365 Cambridgeshire at Newmarket. There are 33 runners so it’s not one I can have a huge level of confidence about but my tentative selection is RAISING SAND (3.40pm Newmarket).

His form in the Royal Hunt Cup is of real interest where he was 2nd of 10 in his group having missed the break quite badly at the start. I think the extra furlong today could bring out some extra improvement in a horse who has been running fairly consistently all season. Nicola Currie also takes off 3lb for her claim and she is a decent young jockey.

I don’t buy the suggestion he wants softer ground because he has been fairly consistent on various surfaces and I think he is a lovely big price to get involved with from a draw (in stall 35) that will allow him to get some help from the rail. There is some 50/1 out there but I’m going to make use of the 7 and 8 places each way terms available with some bookmakers and back him at 40/1.
