IT was always going to be difficult to repeat a super Saturday but at least it was another Super Single Sunday.
A last-minute winner goal gave Eintracht Frankfurt victory at Hamburg and while I played safe with draw no bet at 5-4 I also advised Hamburg to win at 12-5 which was to put it simply the wrong price.
My Top Treble of Hearts, Bordeaux and Inter was let down by the Italians who collapsed against Cagliari after an early red card and it was two out of four on the btts selections.
On Monday we have Stoke v Newcastle in the Premier League and at first glance I'd edge towards a home win at 23-20 with Ladbrokes and William Hill but I'd be reluctant to write off Alan Pardew's visitors who fought back from 2-0 down at home to Hull last weekend to draw 2-2.
In fact with Stoke losing both their home games without scoring and Newcastle still to net on their travels – does anyone fancy a 0-0?
Rangers are no bigger than 1-2 with the likes of William Hill and Ladbrokes to notch their sixth win in seven games and should do so.
Hibs will be lifted by their League Cup success at Ross County but have lost their previous two away games in the Championship. Alan Stubbs's men are 6-1 at McBookie while the draw pays 7-2.
Elsewhere tonight there are two matches in Serie A – Palermo v Lazio and Udinese v Parma. Best bet from the Sicily game could be both to score at Palermo at 19-20 with 888sport.
Udinese v Parma should be closely fought but I'm taking a chance on a home win at 6-5 with Betfred after Udinese's superb start to the season.
New coach Andrea Stramaccioni has led his side to third place after three wins in four games and their only loss was against Italian champions Juventus.
Stramaccioni even had the luxury of resting star man Antonio di Natale for last week's win against Lazio and he is 11-5 at Paddy Power to net at any time.
Parma have started slowly with just three points but we know they can spark to life and both to score could also be a shout here with four of the last five meetings going that way.
I've had another look at the games and have decided to go with Palermo-Lazio btts and a Rangers win as a Daily Double. The rest of my stakes I'll keep for the Champions League tomorrow.

Super Saturday was followed by stunning Sunday, as my only tip on the Football won at 23/10, Europe won the Ryder cup 4/6 and won by the correct score I predicted at 14/1. In the NFL it was Miller time 11/10, and later on Murray time 5/6, in between Frank Gore covered his yardage easily 10/11 and scored 11/10 likewise Murray, who scored to bring up a 5/1 tv treble :)

rob, the further down the leagues you go the less info there is available regarding teams etc. I personally prefer to stick to the top 2 divisions anywhere in the world outside of the UK as they are more likely to be able to give you an idea, form wise etc, of what may happen.

With one win between them all season on paper this doesn’t look like being a classic. The stats will show Stoke have lost both home games 0-1 this season, while Newcastle haven’t scored a goal away from home this season. I normally go with stats but tonight I am taking a big risk and going against them. (I suspect people may think I have lost the plot, so if you do follow then play with small stakes)
Stoke have scored in all their away games this season, two against QPR, and Sunderland in the cup, one against Hull and they beat Man City 1-0 at the Ethiad. The poor home record will end sometime and why not against a Newcastle side who conceded 2 in their last away game against Crystal Palace, and four against Southampton who scored twice in the opening 20 mins.
The Britannia is a notoriously tough place to go, and with Newcastle brittle at the back on the road, I will take Stoke O1.5g at 13/10 Various.

Alex, the one thing Rangers and Celtic fans always do is back their time with blind faith. Nothing wrong with that because they usually win but Rangers fans will need to be careful over the next few weeks. One bad defeat won’t cost them the title so let’s see how they react. I don’t think anyone (bar raaljaca) expected Hearts to be as good as they’ve been so that’s a concern for Rangers with just one side going up automatically.
