AFTER a super Saturday I had a feeling Sunday was going to be tougher and so it proved.
I only put up two bets and both were losers. Bordeaux and Celtic beat the treble and Spurs' failure to score sank the both to score fourfold at the first hurdle.
Hours were spent sizing up a possible Super Single and I'm glad I resisted the opportunity as several of the sides I considered failed to win.
My best call was probably ruling out an Arsenal win at Leicester and the shocks continued throughout the day right up until Real Madrid throwing away a 2-0 lead to lose at Real Sociedad.
The one that got away was PSG who thumped St Etienne 5-0 – with comeback man Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring the first counter and going on to hit a hat-trick.
It's the start of a quiet week leading up to the Euro 2016 qualifiers and I've had look at many of the matches to come up with some tips.
I'm starting a Daily Double with Rio Ave at home to Boavista in the Portuguese top flight. Rio Ave have won their opening two games and reach the Europa League group stage and will go top of the table with a win here.
They've started the season well with 5-1 and 2-0 victories while Boavista are pointless but they started with tough matches against Braga and Benfica. Rio Ave should win this one and are a best 8-13 with Coral and McBookie.
Add Swedish second-tier side Sundsvall at home to Assyriska and I'm taking this on form because I don't know much about the sides. Sundsvall lie third in the table and are unbeaten in four while Assyriska are without a victory in seven.
Sundsvall are strong at home having won eight of their last 10 and are expected to win with Coral offering a best 8-15.
Other sides I considered were St Pat's at Shelbourne in the Irish Cup but I'm waiting for team news. Modena are also being tipped to beat Cittadella in Serie B at just under evens but again I know little about the teams although form does point to a home success.
Loads of people have mentioned the Greuther Furth-St Pauli Bundesliga 2 match and everything points to goals so let's put that up as an over 2.5 selection. Look at the stats – an average of exactly three goals a game in 21 meetings between the sides.
Both teams have scored in six of the last seven at Furth with 29 goals being netted in these clashes. Greuther have banged in at least two goals in seven of their last outings against St Pauli and their three league games have totalled 10 this season.
Over 2.5 goals pays a best 3-4 at boylesports and another possibility is Greuther to win and both teams to score at 5-2 with Skybet.
Double up with under 2.5 goals at Brest v Nancy in French Ligue 2. Brest haven't netted in three – two 0-0s draws and a 1-0 defeat – while Nancy are unbeaten this season but all four of their matches have been under 2.5 goals including one 0-0.
The matches between the pair last season finished 0-0 and 1-0 and while backing unders is always risky in case of an early goal everything points to that market here.

His agent was quoted on Saturday night saying it was either Real Madrid or Man City he was choosing between, they dismissed the other teams. Real had the deal completed for a seasons loan but pulled the plug at the last second for an undisclosed problem. Real then went and got Javier Hernandez for a year.
No doubt other teams will try and get in there but City tabled a £42m, 3 year permanent deal and were only just pipped.

Falcao from what I heard and read yesterday had whittled his decision down to City or Real on Saturday night, this was confirmed by his agent, City and Real.
Real announced at 4pm yesterday he had signed a 10m one year loan deal, City confirmed he had refused a 40m 3 year permanent deal.
Then it all fell through at Real for a reason they’re refusing to disclose, then they went and got Hernandez.
From everything I see, read and hear he’s going to City 100%.
The fact bet Victor have him at 1/2 to join city just confirms it even more which is why 4/6 for any player is an absolute steal.

ChTheScot, looks like the only thing that could stop it is the fair play restrictions City have to work with. Negredo leaving helps their cause but need to lose one or two others today to be allowed to spend that much on Falcao. A loan deal could be a way round it with an agreement to buy later so as I said make sure these bets are paid out of it’s a loan.

Yesterday Midtjylland was priced 2.20 to beat Esbjerg (final score 2-0), tonight Hobro is a generous 2.70 to beat Vestsjaelland. I wouldn’t know why they only give them 37% chance to beat them… Hobro is second (10 out of 5)and have not yet lost at home. Vestsjaelland has 7 points out of 5 and so far none of them in away games. Glad it was a fairly quiet day. Lost out in falcao to City stupidly after advising caution but took a level stake after fundig better odds, lesson learnt. Good news is already countered and up. guys, some advice.. i did a double Furth o2.5 goals and Bogota in Columbia BTTS at around 7.13PM on the machine in Laddies, it clearly shows on my slip and on screen that the game is due to kick off at 9pm GMT, i took a pre-game price… im at home and im seeing that the game has finished 0-0 and started a 7pm GMT what the hell.. if I knew it had started already I would have stayed away from it.. any advice? what shall I do?

Olimpo was one of the teams i followed most games before WC Cooldude and were way overpriced for RT7, especially after they had just equalised. They were 16/1 at one point for RT7 and double corners happen alot in South American games.
Last 2 H2H between Tigre and Quilmes have finished with 10 & 9 corners so with corner line that low at 8.5 it’s decent value. Quilmes last game had 13 corners too
