HIBS have waited a long time to win the Scottish Cup – 113 years in fact – but could this be their time?

Alan Stubbs's side were handed a massive boost when Gary Anderson made the quarter-final draw this afternoon.

You could hear cries of “180” coming from Easter Road as the Championship outfit were paired at home to Spartans or Berwick – and that's got to be the equivalent of a bye to the last four.

Hibs have been cut to to 7-1 fourth favourites to win the Cup by McBookie and their hopes were further boosted by Dundee United and Celtic being paired.

McBookie have pushed Celtic out from 4-6 to 4-5 while Inverness, who tackle Raith at home, are 10-3 second favourites ahead of the Tangerines at 6-1.

Paul Petrie, McBookie.com spokesman, said: “Celtic were handed the toughest possible tie and it now means there is a great chance for Inverness or even a Championship side to make the Final.”

McBookie outrights: 4-5 Celtic, 10-3 ICT, 6-1 Dundee Utd, 7-1 Hibs, 20-1 QoS, 25-1 Falkirk, 33-1 Raith, 1000-1 Bar.

Quarter-final draw

Inverness v Raith Rovers
Queen of the South v Falkirk
Hibs v Berwick or Spartans
Dundee United v Celtic
Ties to be played March 7 or 8

I cant see anyone left in who Hibernian would fear,
beat by Dundee United earlier in season but after 3-3 draw lost 7-6 on pens but we are playing alot better now

i cant see how we would fear Inverness as we have raised our game against Premiership teams
we are getting all our players back from injury

Celtic in my opinion are not as good as people think only player i would fear is Griffiths

Promotion, another day out at a final & qualify for europe would make it a cracking season

Mr F I know its extremely early in the week but I’ve just found Dundee Utd are 2.10 to win at Rugby Park on Saturday. Now that’s an SS if ever I saw it, will be heavily backed by me. I’m getting on it early!

Haha, I had to laugh Jb.You know everything you need to know about horses, but when it comes to football, I think you may need to re-think your knowledge.Yes, Hibs are doing good week to week, but fear no-one in Celtic line-up, except Griffiths. Why? Cos he’s an ex Hibee? Or cos he’s scored last 2 games? All of Celtic squad are dangerous to anyone in Scotland. All teams in Scottish cup are there on merit cos they scored more than there opponants.Hibs will go through and I hope meet Celtic ( assuming they beat Utd ) in Semi’s….Celtic to beat Hibs by at least 3 goals would happen IMO.

hi Alasu a person can have the greatest knowledge around football wise but ultimately when guys put their toe to the line it’s performances or lack of that will dictate what happens .you can bet that they Hibs guys will be scratching at the doors to get out there and perform.whether they will is determined on the day .anything is achievable in sport with the correct mental focus ..good luck for your team John. ….

Love to see Hibs win it but they don’t have 1 player who would get in the Celtic team ,if they did we would have bought him by now.
