I'VE already posted two Super Singles for Saturday – West Ham to win at Sunderland and West Ham -1AH.
The Hammers have beaten Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City away and will be desperate to maintain their 100 per cent away record.
I reckon they'll beat a struggling side but I accept comments from site regulars insisting it will be a different type of game that saw Slaven Bilic's men win as huge underdogs. That's true but Sunderland still haven't won and the pressure is building on the players and boss Dick Advocaat.
The other Premier League team on my shortlist is Southampton at champions Chelsea. The Blues were beaten again at Porto in midweek and Diego Costa will sit this one out as he serves a ban.
I won't be backing Chelsea at 4-6 and Saints look big at 9-2 with Coral. For the shprtlist I'm putting up Southampton draw no bet at 11-4 with Coral.
Here is the full shortlist and remember this is from my first look at the coupon backing selections evens or above and without checking team news. If you think there is a reason not to back one of these sides let us know and feel free to add your own pick.
Super Single shortlist
Sunderland v WEST HAM
Sunderland v WEST HAM -1 AH
Chelsea v SOUTHAMPTON dnb
QPR v Bolton
COLCHESTER v Bury
ACCRINGTON v Oxford
DUNDEE v Motherwell
AIRDRIE v Stranraer
ARBROATH v Annan
Dundee United away to Patrick thistle. United in a better place without Jackie McNamara fully expect Dundee United win with inform billy McKay to net again
The problem with Utd is there are always goin to be in a rut as long as they keep selling their best players esp to Celtic. No sympathy from me they deserve to be where they are at the now.Their board is the problem.
Sunderland v WEST HAM is a good shout been looking at the stats and westham do have an upper hand at decent odds that’s my super single to Mr fixit thanks for posting it
Exeter draw no bet, Bristol Rovers to win and Notts County double chance. Those are my 3 bets for the weekend. Odds slashed since I picked them last night though.
Portsmouth at home to a poor Yeovil looks good to me Mr F
Reckon the Colchester game might be a good one for BTTS or O2.5mgs
I know it’s a derby and anything can happen but I strongly fancy Everton to win at home against Liverpool.
Everton for me too a more balanced side than Pool at the moment but its a derby ! In fact on Sun I fancy all 6 prem teams to score.
Colchester-Have been backing them to score over 1.5 first half goals(5/1 @ Sportingbet) for a few games now!Great little team.
Bury won 7 on trot I do believe in great form. Would not back against at moment. Won 3-2 other night away was on them at 2/1 cracking bet. I think bury game is a btts, derby fan…. I went mk dons last weekend we was dreadful ain’t won at home all season I think Brentford at 4/1 is a good shout. Same kind of bet as saints to win at Chelsea I think similar chance. ( I’m derby fan unbiest ) think is good value, Chelsea west ham Brentford trixi good should amazing odds!
james, both in cracking form – again this could be a better goals bet than WDW pick.
On the shortlist Colchester are the one of the ones unlikely to be picked.
Brentford are not the team they were last year, and neither are Derby. Derby players knew that they played poorly – they said so on the post match interviews. Sooner or later, Derby are going to hit their purple patch – I said a few weeks back Derby always have a great October/November and we have only lost 1 game in the league this season.
We’re also very slow starters and struggle to get an early foothold on the game, then suddenly spark into life in the 2nd half. That says to me ht draw/ft win. I think we’ll have our share of those this season.
Point to note for everyone on the championship, there were 7 draws over last weekend and its roughly a 1/3 split between home/draw/away results so far.
nathan ufton, your draw stats confirm to me how tough it is to pick Championship winners. QPR though look big at home to Bolton.
Accrington for me Mr F. Exeter must also be in with a shout too.
Norwich v Leicester over 2.5mg @evens .. both teams have seen over 2.5 in 8 out of there last 10 games played , all meetings between the sides have seen over also 8/10 of Norwich and 10/10 of Leicesters have seen btts , only @4/6 tho
Evening Mr F – I’ve a lot of respect for Colchester and it should be a tasty one on Saturday – will try and put a few pointers up on Friday ahead of the game.
As an SS I’d be very wary, our form is red-hot at the moment and if anything the away record is stronger.
As James said, definately a BTTS/over 2.5 goals contender though.
HullShaker, Colchester are in my good books but so are Bury. I agree goals the safer bet here.
Rangers -2 @6/4,-2 AH @10/11. V Falkirk.Never touched Rangers at Morton after their blip v St.J. and regretted it as it was a stroll in the park. They should win this one comfy too.
Alva you can also get Rangers -2 ah for 2.09@Marathonbet.
Exeter look cracking price 17-10 at Newport bet365
Other possibles(bet365)
Man utd 11-4 at arsenal
luton 6-4 at Hartlepool
Rangers c score 2.0 . 3.0
Aston v stoke. Draw .
Middlesbrough to win @ 8/5
MrF-I’m on Rochdale Saturday at home to Bradford. Dale have been in cracking form at home and Bradford have only won 1 in their last 5 matches(failing to score in the last 2) I backed them at 7/5 which as shortened a bit,but still good value @13/10bet365.
Plymouth to BT Crawley
Gillingham – evens at home to Oldham. Had a good win in midweek. Oldham drawn a few recently, but think the gills should be good for either 2 goals or the win.
swansea – tottenham draw+under2.5
Colchester and west ham look a tasty double.
Colchester vs Bury looks good for BTTS & Over 2.5 goals because iam not seeing a real winner here!
