IMPRESSIVE Imphal gave me a double-stake winner on Thursday for a 6pt profit.
I'm now 3.5pts up for October and well done all other winners.
Ascot 4:20
Tribute Act has only run five times but she is already an old favourite for the thread. She has won three of those runs but last time out at Glorious Goodwood her run was too bad to be true. Connections have said she didn't like the course, 87 is still a low mark for this well bred daughter of Exceed and Excel and she must have a good chance here.
Fontwell 5:05
Scoop The Pot has been raised 6lb for his last win but still looks on a low mark and can take advantage in this weak looking race. That was Scoop The Pots first run for nine months so should be better for it. Scoop The Pot was only beaten five lengths by Unowhatimeanharry at Cheltenham in November 2015 and hopefully he can kick on from that win last time out.
Chelmsford City 7:45
Alternate Route is Friday's Nap and he is easily the best bet of the day. He has been raised 10lb for his win last time and although he is due to run from a 6lb lower mark in future races he is still well handicapped and should be winning this as he had so much left in the tank last time. He travelled well and has improved for the step up to two miles.

Dundalk didn’t go to plan last time and tonight is a very tough card so stakes will be small on some speculative selections except for the NAP.

7.00 BATTLE OF JERICHO 11/4 NAP
AOB has won 4 of the last 5 running of this race. OBJ is improving with each run and won with a bit in hand lto.
7.30 John Feane has 2 very interesting runners here in LYFKA and SWISH. LYFKA makes his first start for the yard and is 6lbs below last win with a 5lb claimer on-board so if ready must go close. I’ve probably chosen the wrong one as LYFKA is being backed off the boards currently but I’ve gone for SWISH who is 2-2 here and is 3lbs below that last win with a good 3lb claimer on-board. He’s also the only C&D winner in the race

LTO was 5th in a 30 runners h’cap beaten 3/4L by ALAN’S PRIDE who now runs off 7lb higher. Makes his aw debut but if taking to the surface should be thereabouts
9.00 Very tough race maybe CATCHY LASS can make the frame at decent odds
Away from Dundalk I’ve backed WORKBENCH EW 3.55 font who is 4-7 here and won lto over the sticks and may have a fitness advantage over most today
