AS Britain feels the bite of the big freeze I'm focusing on the all-weather track at Wolverhampton on Tuesday.
I've picked out two tips and the 17-1 double would go down a treat.

Captain Bond looks on a low mark here for his handicap debut. I like to have a bet when I see a race full of exposed horses and one that is open to improvement and Captain Bond looks to have plenty of improvement. He also has a more experienced jockey on here and any money for the horse must be noted.
Wolverhampton 6:50
Me Christopher ran well last time and that form would win this race comfortably. He has won three times over this course and distance, he has gone up three pound for that last run but that doesn’t bother me.

Although we don’t as yet own any horses outright we do have shares in three horses, hopefully we can get more support to change that, but whether we own a horse outright or just a share doesn’t determine how much we would love them, as I have said before, one of our sayings at the racing club is “a horse is for life, not just for racing,” which is why we support all horses from all walks of life, they are the most beautiful animal on the planet.
we bought a share in a colt a few weeks ago in the states, on the advice of someone who is well informed on American bred horses, we saw it as a chance to get people from America involved with our racing club and also to give people from over here an interest in a horse racing in America, we haven’t had an official confirmation yet but he has been involved in the fires in California as he was moved there recently, unofficially though, we have been told that he is thought to be one of the horses to have lost their life, it’s a terrible time for everyone involved over there, stable staff have been doing an outstanding job risking their lives for animals they love and especially trainers Joe Herrick who suffered second degree burns on his arms and Martine Bellocq who suffered second and third degree burns on over 50 percent of her body, both received their injuries saving their own horses and other people’s horses, Martine was put into an induced coma but has since come out, however she is still in a critical condition, all over Southern California we are seeing videos of people risking their lives to try and save horses, of the multiple fires the largest one has spread over 230,500 acres, only 15% is contained and no rain is expected for the next ten days
It’s going to be a massive task to get some sort of normality back when the the fires do come under control which sadly doesn’t look anytime soon, we have been organising for volunteers to help and we have been inundated with offers for people to go out and help with the clearing up and rebuilding, as from Tuesday we will also be placing £10 on every bet I advise with winnings going to the fund
The equine community always come together in sad times like these
Sad story Johnb and i hope that all the racing world unites behind the American race community at this troubled time.
They are indeed heroes and have the horses well being first and foremost puts it into perspective when we see a badly ridden horse or a fall when we are just hitting the front.
