FRANCE start their Nations League defence with a visit from a Denmark side tipped to be one of the World Cup dark horses this winter in Qatar.
Both sides topped their groups in the World Cup qualifying campaign. France were well clear of Ukraine and unbeaten, although they did draw three of their matches.
The Danes had an exemplary campaign winning nine out of their first nine matches, before they came unstuck at Hampden in their final group game and lost in Scotland.
Since then, Denmark have lost 4-2 in the Netherlands before trouncing Serbia 3-0 in Copenhagen.
France are the current Nations League holders, although you'd struggle to find too many fans who are aware of this! They should be aware, however, that Les Blues are in terrific form with seven wins in their last seven games including against the likes of Spain and Belgium and they have also hammered in 13 goals in two games against Kazakhstan and South Africa.
How the bookies view it
France are certainly backable at odds-on. They are 3/4 to win this with SBK, while the Danes can be backed at 22/5 with UniBet. The draw is 21/5 with bet365.
Recent head to heads
The nations last clashed in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where it finished in a goalless draw as can be seen below.
Previously to that, France have won the last three meetings between the countries.
Players to watch
After a truly sensational campaign, Karim Benzema is arguably the world's best player at the moment. He didn;t manage to score in the Champions League Final, but still helped Real Madrid upset the odds and Liverpool. He will be many punters' idea of a banker at 13/8 with BetVictor.
Christian Eriksen is back with the Danes after the emotions of last summer. He remains the top scorer in the squad and the Brentford playmaker is 11/2 to score with bet365.
Anything else catch the eye?
France look worthy favourites here at a price that is short, but backable. They are in fantastic form and they will want to put on a show in front of a Parisien audience for a competition they won.
They have a star-studded team with equally impressive players to bring in and they could win with a few goals here, with Denmark contributing to the fun.
The Danes have only failed to score once in their last 14 games and that was at Hampden. France to win and both teams to score is 10/3 with bet365, which is begging to be backed.
