Estonia and Latvia face off at the A. Le Coq Arena in a winner-takes-all clash in the Baltic Cup. Both teams are locked on points in the competition, but the Estonians have fared better in recent weeks and should claim the win.
Estonia began their campaign in the Baltic Cup with a 1-0 victory over Lithuania. Henri Anier's effort on the hour mark earned them the win as they now trail Latvia by goal difference in the group standings.
Thomas Haberli’s men followed up that result with another 1-0 win, this time in a friendly against Finland, who will be competing at Euro 2020. That win was secured thanks to Rauno Sappinen's 59th minute penalty.
Coming off back-to-back wins for the first time since 2017, the Estonians will go into Thursday’s clash with plenty of confidence. Coach Haberli will also be pleased with his team’s recent showings in defence having kept clean sheets in their last two matches.
