TopTips_Ladbrokes

IT was a toss-up between over 2.5 goals and both to score at Aldershot and unfortunately I picked the wrong one.

So while the second part of my double at NY Red Bulls came in my bet was beaten at the first hurdle I – and I assume many others – recouped their losses on Greg Browning's superb nap.

He advised over 2.5 Eupen goals at 4-5 and the bet landed before HT as the Belgians ran out 6-0 winners. That was a cracking pick at what's a great price when it wins.

That's the quiet nights over and now we're into six days of Euro 2016 qualifiers and loads of other matches. I've posted a Euro 2016 preview summing up the situation in Groups D, F and I and there is a separate Scotland v Poland article.

I've made my feelings on all eight games being played and while everyone's been banging on about goals they could be in short supply tonight. The only game that looks a strong candidate for both to score is Scotland v Poland while Ireland v Germany, Georgia v Gibraltar and Hungary v Faroes could go over 2.5.

Picking a Super Single wasn't easy and while Robert Lewandowski to score at 6-4 with Coral is tempting it's a bet I'd be posting and hoping for a loser. Everyone knows I want Scotland to win tonight so it's difficult to think with my head.

Anyway I was keen to do a goals bet as my Super Single so I've decided to go with a double – over 1.5 match goals in Glasgow and over 1.5 Germany goals in Dublin.

For my Top Treble I'm on Germany to win, Portugal to beat Denmark and Northern Ireland not to lose at home to Greece. If Kyle Lafferty was playing I'd back the Irish and I might even consider them if Liam Boyce got the nod to start.

Portugal have won five out of five qualifiers with Cristiano Ronaldo playing. He netted the only goal when they met in Copenhagen and could well be on target tonight. The Real Madrid man is 22-23 at 888sport to score and 11-4 with BetVictor to net first.

6. Nick 8 years ago

Haven’t ever seen Dallas play this bad before, typical the time that we need them to get a goal.

Thanks for the Red Bulls goals tips Jordan. I told my son to go for Sam anytime and over 1.5 team goals for RB’S
I was already committed to over 2.5match goals for my eight match accumulator, this was the last leg. Had Flash Scores on under my pillow. Just like Radio Luxembourg all those years ago, which shows my age.
Brilliant tipping and thanks again. Goals have been good for me.

8. Jordan 8 years ago

Morning gents/Nick. Set my alarm to check the Dallas result who couldn’t score. Going by stats I wouldn’t say they missed Castillo in the slightest. Just failed to put away their chances by the looks of things. Certainly had the better part of the game. It was either the goal or the DC and I chose the wrong one which was the worse price. It happens.

Lol Nick just seen your other comment, they might have played bad but not as bad as Vancouver? Is 9 corners and more shots at goal playing bad? Not in my book. http://int.soccerway.com/matches/2015/10/08/united-states/mls/vancouver-whitecaps-fc/football-club-dallas/1990248/?ICID=HP_MS_01_01

11. Danny T 8 years ago

Jordan in fairness Dallas were awful but so were Vancouver . The best chance of the game fell to Perez in the 89th min he just needed to slot it and dragged it wide . It wasn’t a good game it was very edgy and at about 70 mins in it seemed both sides were happy to take a point . We move on chaps :-)

12. Nick 8 years ago

Dallas had no pace on the counter and couldn’t string any passes together when it mattered and literally every corner didn’t beat the first man.

I honestly feel they would’ve won with Castillo, Vancouver lack pace in defence with Harvey and Smith full backs, Kah was knackered after 60 minutes as well.

It was a good tip I’m not trying to say it wasn’t, they just really didn’t show up today.

• Danny T 8 years ago

Nick completely agree 100% with not questioning the tip . The tip was solid only reason for my comment was match assessment for those who didn’t see it . Jordan’s MLS record is second to none plus our old friend drogba got his goal today as well haha

After Cefn Druids let me and a few others down last night we are looking to bounce back and there is plenty of value to be found.

We start with Scotland V Poland. I think Poland with the in form Lewandowski will just edge it but i wouldnt back against scotland at home in a huge clash like this. I think best value is both teams to score at evens.

Germany take on Republic of Ireland with the irish needing to get a result. Germany have been scoring plenty but also letting in a fair few on the way and conceded 2 vs Scotland last time out. Ireland have also scored in all but one of there qualifiers (the 1-0 loss to scotland) and with them needing to get a result can see the game being open. I think BTTS and over 2.5 has a great chance at 5/4 but will play it safe and go for BTTS at 5/6

I will, also as always be having one point on Gregs Nap so will repost later on once the master has spoken.

A League

Western Sydney Wanderers v Brisbane Roar (10am)

BTTS @4/5

Wsw have pretty much a new squad compared to last season and their defence haven’t had much time to gel. New striker Piovaccari has big pressure on his shoulders as he will probably be the only man up top but has a decent record scoring in Europe! Brisbane have a good goal scoring record at WSW scoring in their last 3 of 4 head to head games.

Aussie A league and a tough one to predict tonight between WSW and Brisbane Roar.

Brand new squad as has been said here already for WSW. WSW have the advantage of beating Roar this season in FFA cup already. Mitch Nicols has been getting a lot of praise WSW. He could be an anytime scorer. Roar are not that much different from last year

5 out of last 11 have not seen btts between the teams.I think tonight will see both teams score.

i am not convinced by new Roar coach Aliosi and he wasn’t a great hit at Melbourne City.Matt McKay is on Australian national team duty and no Braton either. Jade North is supposedly carrying a small injury in defence for Roar.

$2.20 is very tempting for WSW in front of a full house though they haven’t won an A league opener in their short history. As with the A league there is usually goals..will there be tonight?

I think Wanderers will edge it tonight but I am not keen to back them confidently without seeing form.

Bets I like are

WSW to score in first half @ 2.00

Mitch Nicols to score anytime @ 5.00

WSW to win @ 2.20

O2.5 goals @ 2.05

BTTS @ 1.83

Small stakes tonight. My tips are

O2.5mg @ 2.05 MAIN BET

Mitch Nicols to score anytime @ 5.00 small bet

WSW to win @ 2.20 small bet

Hi guys and girls,
Looking for some advice re a free bet that I placed yesterday (admittedly on horses) but I’m posting here since I know Mr Fix It is far more active on this thread than that one and my query is a general one related to the bet. The token was with Ladbrokes and worth £20. I placed it on a Trixie and 2 of 3 selections won and yet my bet is settled as returns £0 despite one of the 4 (in a Trixie) bets winning. They say that this is because my profit was less than the value of the bet token. This can’t be right surely? My bet effectively made the free bet split into 4 £5 bets and on one of those I made more than £5 profit. Hope this is semi clear? Any advice is gratefully received

• Mr Fixit 8 years ago

AndrewC, with a £20 free bet you don’t get the stake back so for any return the win would have to be more than £20. Is that the case?

Morning guys

Poor card apart from the Euro qualifiers. Do fancy a dabble at over 2.5 goals in the A League match that’s just kicked off at 11/10. Seems a big price, but without form it’s a punt.

4 goals in first half in A league. Nice quiet start then

44. petermac 8 years ago

A scotsman abroad Mitch. Only really started betting on A league last year. Little bit of research and watching pre game show helps. Got it wrong on WSW win by looks of things. 4 out of 5 thoughts coming up and 2 out of 3 bets winning isnt a bad start to the season. Well done on btts to you.
A bet I was looking at this year is Btts in all games per round. Haven’t done it this week but my guess it’ll happen 4-5 times a year.
There’s more goals in this game I reckon. WSW have had 2 clear cut chances and should be 3-3 i reckon.

45. Bookies Can Lose! 8 years ago

Hi guys,

It’s been a while since my last visit here but I wanted to check what you guys think about today’s Scotland – Poland game (I’m Polish BTW).

For me, this game looks tricky. Of course everyone mentiones Robert Lewandowski but it has been proved many times that the form in club is not always directly linked to form in a national team. I hope he will score though! I saw some newspapers in Scotland having a laugh but this is what journalists do.

As for Scotland, again – you had a very good game with Germany recently at home but you also lost to Georgia…

I think I will stay away from betting on this game tonight but I would agree with everyone saying that the safest bet might be btts.

Cheers – and may it be a great game tonight!!

• nathan ufton 8 years ago

Chris Martin is on the goals in the league, so not sure if he’ll be starting and Bryson out injured in midfield. If the polish can shut out the service to Martin via the midfield, Martin will have a poor game if he starts as he’s a poacher, his territory is 3 yds to the penalty spot, if he gets a ball to his feet and he gets half a shot chance it’ll be in the net. But its a case of IF. If Poland have a half decent midfield, Martin will have a stinker.

• nathan ufton 8 years ago

Forgot to mention – Johnny Russell is on fire for Derby as he loves to run at the defence with the ball, maybe if Scotland do get a goal, it’ll be down to him being the catalyst. He’s not on the goals at league level though but he’s got a thunderous shot in him.

• Mr Fixit 8 years ago

nathan, unfortunately Russell won’t start and is unlikely to be involved off the bench either. Griffiths, Fletcher and Rhodes are ahead of him in the pecking order. Might get a run-out against Gibraltar though.

• Mr Fixit 8 years ago

nathan ufton, again Chris Martin won’t start unless Strachan pulls a rabbit out the hat.

• Mr Fixit 8 years ago

Bookies Can Lose, the Daily Record in particular is having a laugh at Lewandowski over his claims Scotland will kick him off the park.
I hope he doesn’t have the last laugh though.

David – yes that is right.

61. B-Ray 8 years ago

David – DNB means exactly that. You choose a winner from the match and if it ends in a draw you either get your money back or the odds are removed from your accumulator. Not to lose means you Selected team can win or Draw and the bet will count as a winner.

2nd plays 1st in the WC qualifier between Jordan and Australia (3pm) Jordan has netted 7 times in its last two group games while Australia has trapped 8 times in its last two, both without conceding in any games, and against weaker group opponents.

Tonights NAP – Scotland v Poland BTTS -EVENS

69. Colin K 8 years ago

As mentioned yesterday, I will be continuing to trial a new bet for small stakes (team to score in both halves) that came in at 30/1 on Tuesday nights games.

Ireland vs Germany – This game will be open and Germany always score goals in these types of games and I will be backing them to score in both halves.

Georgia vs Gibraltar – I fancy Georgia to notch a few against the whipping boys and will be backing them to score in both halves.

Scotland vs Poland – Massive fixture for Scotland, but I think Poland’s potent goal scoring threat will give them the edge and I will be backing the Polish to score in both halves. Also, I read an article in Mr F’s newspaper which suggested the Poland players would receive £100,000 each if they beat Scotland and qualify for the Euro’s. I’d be shooting on sight if that was me!

Germany to score in both halves – NAP

Treble – Germany, Georgia and Poland all the score in both halves.

I don’t think the odds will be close to the 30/1 I got for the games on Tuesday but it should still pay around 10/1 (and has a fairly solid chance).

Gibraltar have got at least 2 corners in all of their EC qualifliers. In their last last 2 games they’ve had 5 in Poland and 4 at home to Ireland. They’ve had 2 corners at home to Germany plus away to Scotland and Poland and also got 4 in Ireland too. But at home v Georgia they won 6-5 on corners. These bets are also worth spare change as massive odds but obviously not much chance of happening although RT3 is tempting

RT3 – 7/1
RT5 – 12/1
RT7 – 33/1
RT9 – 200/1

Another decent looking bet is the asian corner handicap +6.0 to Gibraltar, Georgia win by 6 corners ££ back

Mr F, I somehow did not realize that the newspaper in question was in fact Daily Record with that “spit the dummy” cover.

This article was noticed here in Poland. Almost every news page I opened was shouting: hey, the Scots are making fun out of our best striker! etc.

I personally have no problems with such articles – journalists need to do that to make the temperature of the game higher.

I have just read that Scott Brown said that Greer’s tackle in the first game was perfect and fair…I can see something different on that photo though:

http://twitter.com/plangier/status/652058161206198276/photo/1

Anyways, I’m just hoping that it will not be a boring 0-0 tonight…

• Mr Fixit 8 years ago

Bookies Can Lose, Brown’s got to say that. The tackle was a poor one but the whistle had already gone.
As Strachan says Lewandowski played the next game so the injury couldn’t have been that bad.
He also pointed out Poland have committed more fouls and received more bookings than Scotland in this campaign.
And as you say the Record are having a bit of fun and being patriotic as we should be.
If the best team wins tonight that will be fine by me but I’d take a draw as long Ireland lose.

• Bookies Can Lose! 8 years ago

Mr F, what counts in case two teams have the same number of points? Goal difference or direct results?

Yeah, I don’t think Lewandowski was seriously injured. Our papers were just saying that the pad on his leg was broken after that foul, so it was serious and could have really more serious consequences.

If Ireland loses with Germany, draw with you would be OK for us. We would then need a draw with Ireland (or a win of course) at home to be automatically qualified.

73. AndrewC 8 years ago

Thanks Cottweiler and Mr Fix It, speaking to them, that was what they said, they take the £20 stake off any winnings even though on a trixie in theory it’s split 4 ways, so even if all 3 selections won at silly odds and my total return was £21.00 then I would get £1 back, seems a bt silly to me but it’s a note to self to not use a free bet the same way again and just use it on an accy or single!

79. lyallnt 8 years ago

The key to making money is betting not on what you think will win but where the bookies have got the price badly wrong.

In any event, my bet can be insured by putting £50 on under 4.5 Georgia goals at 1-2 with betway.

Shouldnt be too hard tonight to find a tasty supersingle and ill do what Mr F’s love for his tartan and perhaps an Irn Bru too many is making him refuse to do and go with Lewandowksi anytime scorer @ 5/4 skybet and paddypower, bigger is available at other firms so snap it up.

Reasoning:
Robert Lewandowksi has scored an amazing 19 goals for club and country this season and has netted 12 of those in his last 360 minutes of football for Bayern Munich (averaging a goal per 30 mins)and has scored in his last 3 group qualifiers with hatricks against Gibraltar and georgia and a goal away to the Germans.
Just feel the Scottish defense could be in for a torrid time coping when you note it features players from Blackburn, Norwich,Aston Villa and Hull.
Mr F may claim he isnt going to back it but im guessing he’ll have had the dug on half rations and held back on some of his wifes housekeeping for the past month to enable a sizeable bank to back this giveaway.

DELHI DYNAMOS VS CLUB CHENNAI

CLUB CHENNAI WIN 17/10 CO-RAL

Club Chennai, managed by Marco Materrazi, managed to put two past the resiliant Atletico de Kolkata who are affiliated with Atletico Madrid and actually won the league last year. Club Chennai made the play off’s last year but have kept their pivotal playmaker Elano whilst nabbing Atletico’s powerhouse Eithiopean striker Fikru. Delhi Dynamo’s, managed by Roberto Carlos, opened up with a 2-0 defeat against FC Goa. Their marquee player is Florent Malouda who played well against Goa.

All things considered, Club Chennai should win this due to their ability to score goals, the fact they have the same manager in Materazzi as last year and in comparison appear to be the better team. Overs could also be in with a shout here.

Jordan should have gone one up v Aussies on the stroke of half time, player missed a gaping net from close range. Best chance of the half. 0-0, let’s hope for second half goals, but to be honest it’s hard to see where they’ll come from. BTTS now about 16/5.

Mr f just in regards to the part about liam Boyce. It would be shocking if he didn’t start for us tonight!! He’s been banging them in as you know but with josh mcguinness being the preferred sub the last few games makes me think that’s who O’Neill will go with. I hope that’s not the case,he’s been grabbing goals for his club lately but he just doesn’t instill me with very much confidence. Not too sure how the game will go for us although it should be a win tbh! I’ll be on Gareth macauly anytime scorer myself @12/1, bring on the euros!!!

Scotland v Poland – BTTS – 1/1 – 1 point
Germany v Ireland – BTTS – 5/6 – 1 point

Above Double – 2.66/1 – 1 point

Starting bank – 10pts
Remaining bank – 2.75pts

Amazing what subjects can cause debates on ere. Is funny though. The cover thing is just a crossed between guts an greed. How long to leave before cover. Wait for ur team to get a second but risk the equaliser. Prob was good cover at ht. So would been plenty time after going 1-0 up on 8 mins.

Thanks for the reply. No suarez means no bet for me tonight. This is what the site is great for. I have time to look at stats. But sometimes not team news. Which really is the most important part of picking winners. Or even missing losers

163. Jordan 8 years ago

Luke, The Double Chance was 5/2 at HT mate. It is funny though. The people that didn’t cover are annoyed they drew, the people that couldn’t cover or just missed it are obviously annoyed, where as I’ve already forgotten about it as I didn’t lose a penny. Like I said, its not my problem. Whoever followed are even lucky that I posted a cover option in my opinion. But an Asian team 1-0 up against their neighbors? Wasn’t a difficult choice.

• The leech 8 years ago

No shame in posting a losing tip Jordan.
I do it every time I put figures in my posts.
Cover isn’t available to everyone, but they know that when they part with their cash

• Brooky56 8 years ago

Jordan just keep doing what your,re doing posting excellent tips nobody forces them to put a bet on I don’t moan when you post a losing tip my money my choice
Want to thank you for last nights Mls tips didn’t,t follow you exactly but just went for nyrb to score 2 and drogba to score anytime happy days woke up to profit that’s the beauty of this site I can draw snippets from all the top tipsters and make my own mind up

164. RichB 8 years ago

Why moan when a tip doesn’t work out? I’m just very grateful for any tips I get and also for the advice in better ways of betting. If it loses, it’s life, it’s gambling and it’s ultimately down to me to decide if I bet and if I cover. Never blame the tipster.

Keep the tips coming, I for one am grateful

165. Jordan 8 years ago

Leech there is zero shame from me mate. I post every bet win or lose and give everyone on here every stake, return and cover that I get. Takes some balls to do that. Imagine the totals that would be posted by the lads who have 10 bets a day and don’t cover? It would be horrifying. I find I have to reply to the ones who do slate losing bets otherwise they’ll never learn. I learnt the hard way when I never even knew what cover betting was, and will always look at the options on even my safest bets.

As an Englishman I’d love to see all the home nations there so it’s disappointing that it looks as though Ireland or Scotland will be out. Hope Northern Ireland can see the job through as well.

176. dog toffee 8 years ago

Why do we need a debate every time someone makes a negative comment about a tip? The regular tipster’s on here clearly take things very seriously and put alot of effort into providing tips in which people will inevitably take a punt on. Whilst it is absolutely correct that it is down to the punter whether he chooses to take the bet or not, you have to be prepared to take the criticism if a tip you post fails and accept the praise when it comes in. It is the same in any results based occupation.

So lets dry the dears, man up a bit and beat some bookies. My only bet for tonight and in my opinion it is a safe bet with decent odds and a good chance of succeeding. Good luck all.

Northern Ireland- Draw no bet- 7/10

Greg 7 on the spin is some good going mate many congrats . I don’t know how you do it with how busy you are with work and family your time management skills must be immense mate.

Jordan it was just unlucky mate and as you say you got out unscathed cover or not cover its a personal choice regardless of circumstance I didn’t cover mainly because I forgot it was on haha I took my dogs out I didn’t know the score until we were 1-2 down . As you say takes a lot of bottle to put your points and profit and loss up you are a very good tipster up with the best I have ever seen so unlucky today but you will continue to keep the profit flowing month by month I have no doubt about that .

Best of luck to all on bets this evening

182. Sean567 8 years ago

In your opinion Jordan then, as you say u never lost a penny on your tip today, is it better to cover the bet where u can get money back or cash out for profit? I followed u in for £33 and could’ve cashed out at £53 before the 2 goals for tajerstan (lol), but haven’t quite got the hang of what is basically backing against yourself by covering yet. Was wondering what your thoughts are as surely covering a bet means your not getting the full return you would by just letting it run, which is exactly the same as cashing out

183. Jacksonator 8 years ago

Totally agree Jordan. You shouldn’t even have to bother putting up to cover it. If people are following surely they can figure it out for themselves, or they won’t and it will bite them and they will learn. Before I joined this site I never really thought about covering but now it’s changed the way I bet totally. Good luck all tonight.

184. Dom77 8 years ago

Im my very humble opinion it’s usually best to cash out in a winning position. So many times I have let the bet ride for a few extra quid and lost everything due to a random late goal. With cash out you are essentially betting on ‘to be winning’

Was clueless I got the fiver off 365 too. Also probably a pity fiver haha

190. Jacksonator 8 years ago

Sean usually the cash out they offer you is quite small and intend to find that covering gets a better return of the bet wins, but the cover is designed just to ensure you break even if the main bet doesn’t come in. You can’t always cover though to make it work without having to put in too high a stake on the cover bet. As in if you have an over 2.5 bet and there is an early goal, the odds for unders then may be enough to cover the bet for only a very small stake, whereas the Cash out option at that point wouldn’t be great

191. Yugo 8 years ago

Cheers jacksonator, I know what u mean by those bets. The likes of today it was 10/11 so paid 63. So putting money on to cover or cashing out would’ve almost been the same thing when it was offering 53. As I say I’m caught sometimes and sometimes think “I’m betting against myself here”. But I know it’s n importantart of betting nowadays and something that MUST be considered

repost from earlier:
Supersingle
Lewandowksi anytime scorer @ 5/4 Skybet and Paddy Power, bigger is available at other firms so snap it up.

Reasoning:
Robert Lewandowksi has scored an amazing 19 goals for club and country this season and has netted 12 of those in his last 360 minutes of football for Bayern Munich (averaging a goal per 30 mins)and has scored in his last 3 group qualifiers with hatricks against Gibraltar and georgia and a goal away to the Germans.

double carpet, fair play to the Irish. We had to see it out then hope for a favour. Tough to take the way it finished though.

264. Greg Browning 8 years ago

Such fine margins in football

When you think back over the campaign, Ireland Stole about 3-4 points in the dying seconds of matches ( last kick to draw against Germany, last kick to beat Georgia! Scotland lose a last kick goal to be knocked out!

You can only take care of yourself , losing away at Gerogia and losing a late goal tonight is why we haven’t qualified, can’t help bit think the luck of the Irish has been with them
Right through this campaign!

Sour grapes, probably, just really dissapointed, especially after beating Ireland and drawing with them! :(

• Mr Fixit 8 years ago

Greg, as you say fine margins but don’t think anyone expected Ireland to beat Germany.

• bigmick 8 years ago

Quite a lot of bitter comments complaining as if Scotland have lost a possible place to a weaker Irish team, lets be honest Ireland have conceded just 7 goals from last 12 internationals and have taken 4 points from the world champions not because they have great players but because they have a great team spirit.
Would have loved to have seen our Scottish cousins qualify but not at the expense of the Irish sorry.
Congrats to N.Ireland also, another team punching well above their weight.

276. Greg Browning 8 years ago

Beating German was a fantastic result, not sure how the game panned out but going by how much luck Ireland have had in this campaign it wouldn’t surprise me if they acored with their only shot on goal?

I stand by my earlier comment that they stole points, last kick of the game in two matches, and Poland scoring a 94min goal from an awful free kick deflected off a million players!

Fine fone margins and sadly for scotland, all the luck has been with Ireland, especially considering we took 4 points from them!

Not taking anything away from Ireland – I’m
Just in the huff how things have worked out!

Greg Browning
I can understand you are frustrated but i cant have those comments about luck and stealing points. We have just beaten the best International team in world football and through the campaign we have taken 4pts off them.
Yes Scotland have taken 4pts off us which should have put you in pole position but you only have yourselves to blame.
We probably have scored with our only shot on target (not sure of stats) but we took it and what a goal it was.
I wish it was different and both teams could go through but its not to be but thats not our fault.

“Neither Vidal nor Alexis are confirmed for the Brazil game,” Chile coach Jorge Sampaoli told newspaper La Tercera. “Neither player has been in full training since joining the squad this week.”

Brazil must overcome the absence of Barcelona striker Neymar, who is suspended for the opening two qualifiers.

To complicate matters for Brazil coach Dunga, Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho is out injured, with Kaka taking his place in the squad.

Just some things to think about for the Brazil game.

Double Carpet, cheers sir

Emotions often run high after a match, watching us fail again was tough to take!

304. Tryer 8 years ago

Well said double carpet. …I watched our game and feared the worst in the first 20 mins but our guys had a fantastic spirit tonight and in the 2nd half Germany did not dominate and almost seem lacklustre but that is taking away from the effort Ireland put in to get something out of the game. Shane Long scored a fantastic goal and we held on with surprising ease which I will admit cost me money.
If it wasn’t us I can guarantee that Ireland as a nation would be cheering on Scotland so I know it’s tough at the moment but I think give a bit of credit when credit is due.

Haven’t seen lineups yet for Argentina game…But like the look of aguero to score and Argentina to win against Ecuador ..5/4 (skybet)

aguero has been in amazing form and if he starts should score a goal or 2… The last 2 H2H aguero has scored 1st against Ecuador and I feel he can get on the score sheet again..

Recommended bets

Aguero anytime 10/11 (NAP)
Aguero anytime and Argentina win 5/4 (NB)

Good luck if u follow….

320. John smith 8 years ago

Aye we were found wanting again. The real damage was done by the 11 bottlers who started the 1-0 defeat to Georgia. There was simply no excuse for that performance and they shouldn’t be allowed to forget that.
I’ve had such a bad run these last few days that i’m going to have to cut down the amount of bets i put on lost around 25 points since Monday. Australia, Krgystan, Germany, Romania, Muller atgs, etc.

321. Capone31 8 years ago

323. shaky 8 years ago

There wasn’t much more Scotland could have done in this group. Qualifying from pot 4 was always a bit of a tall order. Even 3 points in Georgia would have left us 3 behind Ireland and Poland and they would probably have been happy to play out a draw in the last match in that circumstance. Germany only getting 1 point out of 6 off Ireland was the killer.

• Mr Fixit 8 years ago

shaky, big problem for us was Germany losing to Poland and Ireland. We were unbeaten against Poland and Ireland, our main rivals, but it’s losing twice to Germany and the Georgia shocker that beat us. The manner in which we went out was the problem tonight.

324. Illogical 8 years ago

I take nothing away from Ireland and congratulate them on there victory tonight which was undoubtedly deserved. But I feel we were hard done by not only tonight but previously against Ireland when Walters was clearly not onside. I don’t even think lewandovski was onside for the first goal tonight! But regardless were the architects of our own down fall as usual. Should have taken more points against Germany considering how mediocre they have been defensively and the georgia result only confirmed the suspicions of many over our lack of quality against a team who want us to break them dowm. Which clearly we struggle to do. Defensively another poor campaign but the silver lining is looking through all the groups I’d say there wasn’t very many with lineups as tough as this and the lads gave it there all tonight and you could sense they shared that disappointment with the nation

In a betting sense lewandovski to score won!
Had Scotland and over 2.5 @ 5.50 which lost right at the end

Germany ruining bets worldwide tonight lol!
Well maybe I should say Ireland ruining bets!

325. Jordan 8 years ago

Just a little one for the morning. Noticed the A-League is back up and running. Very much like the MLS, goals come from both teams all over the place. A man who a few might remember from last season. Besart Berisha topped the goal charts for the victory behind now Basels Janko with 13. He has scored in both of their cup games this season in which they beat Adelaide 3-1 at home in September. The Victory are being tipped for the title once more and if that’s the case, the Albanian hitman should play a big part.

Tough gig when you follow your football with pride and even worse at country level. Commiserations to you Scots lads but congrats in equal measure to any Irish…my old man’s doing cartwheels.

Luckily football, like everything, moves on…going to take the Chile and Argentina games to see Over 2.5 goals…double pays 3.87.

Also fancy Estefan Parades atgs at 6/4.

Good luck lads.

Double 1.89 bet365

341. Harry 8 years ago

Mr F, got a possible SS suggestion. Not a market I particularly like too much but can’t ignore this price as it seems strange. Slovenia are a best 2/5 to beat Lithuania at home tomorrow night and should do so as they need the win to potentially qualify. Slovenia win to nil is evens at skybet which looks great value considering they’ve won to nil in 3 of their 4 home games (lost to England) and Lithuania haven’t scored in their last 6 away games. Slovenia won 2-0 in Lithuania in the first meeting.

• Mr Fixit 8 years ago

Harry, could be a good shout – won’t decide on Super Single until tomorrow but Lithuania don’t score many.

malcolm caithness, I’d prefer he stayed. We’ve made progress but need to be tighter at the back.
I don’t know if he’ll stay because it will be tough qualifying for the World Cup.

344. Harry 8 years ago

Smaller stake bet

Slovakia win
Slovenia win to nil
Switzerland -4.0AH

Treble 4.00 bet365

345. Jordan 8 years ago

Harry, hope you don’t mind me filling in. Its not a bad bet but I just can’t back a team to win to nil no matter how confident. I’d rather look at Novakovic or Beric to score for Slovenia depending who starts. Hopefully Berisha does the job in the morning and I’ll be looking at either of those two.

346. PA 8 years ago

My only bet tonight was Poland win BTTS. Was hoping Scotland would hang on at the end (when i knew bet could not come in) as it would have been a great finish to the groups, and i would love to see all of us going through. Tough exit and very unlucky but the Georgia game is the one that should be pointed at. Unlucky Scotland the majority of England were willing you on and wanted you through

• Mr Fixit 8 years ago

PA, I don’t know anyone who is anti-English and I have many English friends but there will always be Scotland-England rivalry – it’s been that way through history.
Can’t wait for the World Cup games – they should be crackers.

347. Harry 8 years ago

Fully agree with you Jordan as we know any team can score in any game. I might have to make an exception this time though with Slovenia really needing a win and Lithuania seemingly unable to score away from home. I can’t see many goals, maybe a 1-0 or 2-0. Seen those 2 names you’ve mentioned crop up a few times, although im not too clued up on goalscorer markets and don’t check them often. Personally I’m reluctant on goalscorer bets unless I know the player well and can see their current level of performance

348. Nick 8 years ago

Correa is going to be some player!

349. dirk99 8 years ago

yeah hes a great talent.. bad news for man city aguero gone off injured hamstring I think..watchin both games..1 brazil corner for race to 5 11/5 winner currently 4-2 brazil..

• John smith 8 years ago

Ffs! Horrendous luck just now i have. I was confident getting aguero to score at 5/4 and this happens!

350. Jordan 8 years ago

Harry, Novakovic is their top goalscorer but missed their last game due to injury and Beric is their young striker who signed for St Etienne in the summer after scoring a bag load of goals for Rapid Vienna.

351. Harry 8 years ago

Good luck with them mate, hopefully berisha starts your day off well. Aguero going off injured after 20 minutes is exactly why I dislike goalscorer bets!! Fantastic news for arsenal though, as cynical as it sounds

352. Jordan 8 years ago

But not for my fantasy team haha

353. Harry 8 years ago

True but I’m sure you won’t be alone on that one!

354. Jordan 8 years ago

Harry as did I haha, there I was sitting in the pub at 3-0 in 20 odd minutes thinking, well my bet has won but this is b*llocks haha

355. Harry 8 years ago

And last Sunday was a perfect example of what I was saying to you before the game. Betting on your own team obviously clouds judgement a bit anyway, but when you support arguably the most inconsistent team in England it makes it nearly impossible. I really thought it would be 1-1 or 2-1 to you lot haha so for future reference, don’t bother asking for my thoughts on our games as they’re never close!

356. Harry 8 years ago

Haha I can imagine. Was at the olympiakos game too just before it so no idea where that performance came from. Best chance of winning the league for us in ages though considering the situation of all the others. Hopefully we can push on now while the rest of you are slipping up. The only problem I can see for us (other than the inevitable injuries) is finishing 3rd in our CL group and playing Europa. We won’t qualify so would much rather 4th place
