UNUSUALLY, there is a hot favourite in each of the eight Champions League ties on Tuesday night.
Bookies will be running to hide in the same cave as Davis Love if the eightfold comes up – and it must have a chance.
The accumulator they fear on Spartak Moscow, Barcelona, Bayern Munich Man Utd, Chelsea, Galatasaray, Juventus and Valencia pays a tempting 40-1 at BetVictor.
Of course there is the possibility of one side letting the line down so perming seven from eight is advisable.
Or simply pick something like three, four or five sides – the ones who could be on shakier ground are Man Utd and Galatasaray.
My top three sides would be Barcelona, Valencia and Chelsea while Bayern will be tested away to BATE.
Barca make the short trip to Lisbon to face Benfica. The Portuguese made few chances in drawing 0-0 at Celtic and I like the tournament favourites at 8-13 with Stan James.
The other Group G game sees big-spending Spartak Moscow take on Celtic on their artificial home turf and you can see why the Hoops are as big as 6-1 with BetVictor. The Muscovites are 3-5 at Paddy Power and are justifiable favourites when you consider the sides' respective openers.
Celtic didn't have a shot on target as they were held 0-0 by Benfica while Spartak led Barca 2-1 in the Nou Camp before crashing 3-2.
The Romanians are no mugs and won 2-0 in Braga first time out and I'd have United bigger than 4-6 (various).
Holders Chelsea should be on easy street away to rookies Nordsjaelland after an impressive weekend win at Arsenal. They are 4-11 (various).
Bayern Munich won't get it easy at BATE who hammered Lille in France on the opening day but should make it 10 successive wins in all contests. The Germans are 2-5 at Blue Square.
Valencia should add to Lille's misery with a win in Spain (4-6, various).
So we have eight favourites to back – how many will win and how many will you put on your line.
