THERE were goals galore at Newcastle as expected but my long-shot Super Single of Norwich and both to score went the wrong way.
Credit to the Racing Post, as I mentioned earlier, who went with Newcastle and btts at 9-2 as Steve McClaren's men notched their first win of the season. It was one out of three on my advised accas for a small profit.
I did a rare teams to score treble that paid just over 3-1 and came in thanks to Nice after earlier goals for Lorient and Lazio.
It's the start of a busy week with Champions League and Europa League ties but first we have some games to look at on Monday.
In the Premier League it's Swansea v Stoke which I'm afraid is unlikely to be a thriller while in La Liga it's bottom-of-the-table Granada at a Sporting Gijon side who have started well but failed to win at home three outings.
There are also matches to look at in Scandinavia and countries such as Turkey, Greece and Ireland.
I've updated my goals chart and most of the teams in there fulfilled their part of the deal at the weekend. Swedish leaders Norrkoping are the only side in there in action on Monday.
They have won nine of their last 10 so tempt at 19-10 with bet365 and Ladbrokes at Elfsborg but in the head to heads they've lost four of the past five meetings. Norrkoping, aiming to win the title for the first time since 1989, are two points clear of Gothenburg who visit Djurgarden tonight.
Goals could be the best bet at Elfsborg with eight of the last 10 meetings going over 2.5 goals and nine of Norrkoping's previous 11 have gone that way. At just 4-7 with Ladbrokes it's only worth doing as a double or in a treble while over 3.5 goals pays 6-4 at BetVictor.
Elsewhere in Sweden Orebro have climbed away from the drop zone with six wins in a row and are 17-10 at BetVictor and bet365. Even on the h2h they've won the last three but I'll need to see if there's any team news to put me off the away win with Gefle losing five of their last seven.
Having spent some time on research this morning I've decided on a Super Single of both to score and over 2.5 goals at Elfsborg.
For the treble take btts at Elfsborg which means for both bets I need goals there but with both sides having plenty to pay for that's no problem for me.
Complete with the treble Pogon whose match has been heavily tipped for goals by Johnb, Wato and others. The price on over 2.5 goals is well over evens so I'm playing safer with over 1.5 at 4-11.

Have posted this before but a high percentage of Pogon Szczecin’s games over the last 2 seasons and now into this have seen both teams scoring. So far this season Pogon have scored in all but one of their games and only kept one clean sheet and that was in their last game away and the other side had a man sent off with 20 mins to go but were looking good to score until then. They face a side on Monday who’s games average over 3 a game so every chance of a few more goals here and hopefully one at either end.

A couple players coming back from injury for Swanny, including bad man Andre Ayew after he missed the Ghana game due to a knee injury.
Swanny have a dip in form at the moment, but think Stoke are the ideal opposition for a turnaround, especially seeing as they’ve not won here in the past 6 meetings stretching back to ’98 and drew the once in a thrilling 3-3 draw.
After losing 3-1 to Southampton, a sign of improvement against Spurs seemed apparent in the 2-2 finish at the Liberty, maintaining their unbeaten home record.
Stoke have drawn away to Spurs, Norwich, lost to Arsenal and scraped a win past Villa and a home win against Bournemouth. Hardly inspiring wins. Ol’ boy Given is out too.
Got a few markets for this game I like the look of. Even if Ayew warms the bench at first, Montero, Gomis and Shelvey may be able to dictate play.

there isnt much else on todays card so going to focus my attention on this
stoke are a notrious bogey team for the swans especially when they are at the britannia stadium
fortunatley for swans the game is at home for them where they seem to fare slightly better against them but the swans arent in the best form at the moment and i suspect the international break wouldnt have done them any favours
stoke on the other hand have spent well in the transfer window and have some very talented attacking players , i notice diouf is out of the squad due to his mother dying but they have plenty of other options

As has been said you’re trying to cover a double and the only way you could ‘cover’ it would be bet on the other 5 outcomes (3×2-1) left which isn’t that efficient.
Probably best to see how the game pans out. Your ideal scenario is an early Swansea goal but other than that you’re in the betting gods hands.
Only other option is to see if your bookie will cash out for you and then put a smaller stake on the Swansea win and o3.5 market
Well does your bookie accept a double of Stoke and over 3.5? I’m not sure if all will. If so you can bet on that. Also draw and over 3.5. Then finally simply under 3.5. That’s three cover bets so depending on the odds you can try to ensure a profit / break even but having so many cover bets may mean this is tricky

To be able to cover you’d need Swansea to come out the blocks and be winning 3-0 in the first half or 2-1. Really not worth it. Either cash out or let it ride until cover is acceptable.

Moswei, its hard if not impossible for a professional sportsman to get away with a corrupt action or practice without been caught up in some way.

Mr f, sure it could, but you would think there have been enough examples of players caught up in many different sports to act as a deterrent.
I think its generally accepted that England has a low corruption level anyway partly due to Interpol’s excellent protocols on betting every single betting market in any game.
