TopTips_Titanbet

IT'S a big night of World Cup qualifiers with just two sides having clinched their places in Brazil.

Italy have won Group B while Holland have romped Group D but elsewhere the likes of Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and England hope to take giant steps to Rio.

Group F should be a fight to the finish between Russia and Portugal while Bosnia and Greece and battling for top spot in Group G and Group H sees Spain and France level in 14 points. But the world champions have a game in hand and will seal the deal if they beat Belarus at home.

There are plenty of dead rubbers (best avoided) and short-priced favourites such as Moldova, Czech Rep, Romania, Russia and Spain who can only be backed on the handicaps.

For the top treble I'm starting with Germany -1 at 2-5 with Titanbet v Republic of Ireland. The Germans, one point away from the finals, won 6-1 in Dublin and have netted three or more in nine of their last 11 internationals.

At a biggest 1-5 with William Hill to win it's better to look at Germany on the handicaps but don't get too greedy as Max Kruse is the only recognised striker in the squad. Try Kruse at 9-2 with bet365 to bag the opener. To score at anytime he's 5-4 at Skybet.

Add Iceland who are also 2-5 at home to Cyprus. Iceland have done remarkably well to stay in contention for a finals debut and victory tonight will put them in pole position for a play-off space and even a slim chance of top spot.

They followed their incredible comeback to draw 4-4 with leaders Switzerland with a home success against Albania and should take care of a side that's mustered just four points – three of them at home to Iceland a year ago.

Complete the treble with Ukraine who lie just a point behind England and on the 15-point mark with Montenegro in Group H ahead of their home meeting with Poland.

They could go top tonight if England draw and remember their last game on Tuesday is a gimme away to San Marino who they thrashed 9-0 at home.

Ukraine won 3-1 in Poland and are a tough proposition in Kiev. They should take the chance to pick up three points a few hours before England face Montenegro and pile pressure on their rivals. They are 8-11.

For the Super Single as I go for five in a row I thought about under 2.5 goals at England and considered Macedonia away to Wales who are always worth opposing without Gareth Bale. But as it's meaningless I decided to leave it alone.

Two of my Super Singles this week have been on the draw no bet – Hibs and Cambridge – so I'm going for the hat-trick with Belgium who need a point in Croatia to win Scotland's Group A.

Even if they lose the leaders have a home game against Wales on Tuesday in which to secure their spot in Brazil but I can see them notching at least a draw.

Only Scotland and world champions Spain have won in Zagreb in the past two years so it's a tough task for the unbeaten Belgians, who will be without Christian Benteke, so draw no bet at 6-5 with McBookie.com has a chance.

Thinking of a few Over 2.5 goal games tomorrow, if any can be found, any tips on what to look for when researching potential games?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

John, if you’re researching overs look at recent results of both teams and head to heads if any are available. Consider who needs a result and check what strikers are available. Also sides such as Germany, Holland and Romania who are expected to win big will be worth a look but the prices will be shorter. I might put up a btts treble later, which isn’t much different to over 2.5 goals, but need to write up the Saturday Daily Record column first.

John, Portugal v Israel looks a fairy good one for Over 2.5. It is a best price 8/15, so the bookies are expecting goals. Both teams have better attacks than they do defences drew 3-3 in Israel.

Over 3.5 goals is @ 5/4 and I will be taking that as well.

Ronaldo to score 2 or more at 7/4 is well worth a look as well. In fact, it is very rare you get that kind of price for Ronaldo.

My main 4 fold for the night will be Germany, Iceland, Sweden and Holland @ around 3/1.

I have been looking into the Holland vs Hungary match and even 4/11 seems a good price for Holland

It may be worth considering that even though Holland have qualified, manager Van Marwiijk wants his side to win their remaining games as it will probably move them up into the top 8 rankings, meaning they will be first seeds at the World Cup. Also, players will be looking to impress the coach and they are essentially invincible at home.

Like the look of this bet for tonight, which I’ve done a patent on.

    BELGIUM TO WIN & BTTS @ 13/2
    ITALY TO WIN & BTTS @ 6/1
    URUGUAY TO WIN & BTTS @ 17/2

with just 1 needed to return the stake. Anything more see’s a nice return.

Hopefully Italy can do the business against Denmark in the 2nd game

Anyone any info on uruguay, massively underated price I think but dont know too much about Ecuador, any assistance appreciated

    • Mark 10 years ago

THis is a tricky game in 36 meetings Uruguay has won 22 and Ecuador three with the rest drawing.

Both teams are locked on 22 points and I believe bookies are certain that Uruguay will wilt in the high altitude in Quito, which makes the home team favorites.

I like Uruguay though with Suarez Cavani and Forlan up front because their last game will be against Argentina they know anything but a win could have them in a possible 5th place play off which I am certain they want to avoid. Uruguay outright win 2-1!!

If these singles continue it won’t be mr fixit anymore ….it’ll be mr draw no bet it :)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

William, at the end of the day if they come in at over evens that’s all that matters. Quiet nights prompted the other two and tonight while Belgium are good enough to win they only need a draw.

I think i will go for this treble:
    Belgium u21 (-1)
    Holland (-1)
    Costa Rica Double Chance

  15. Mr H 10 years ago

@mark Carson Ecuador play at high altitude and most teams struggle too cope with it hence the reason Uruguay are 5/2 too win

  16. Big Poppa 10 years ago

MR F you still on for the Belgium u21 to win?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Big Poppa, still fancy Belgium U-21s but with the treble down I’m not putting any more on them. There are enough WC qualifiers to look at.

WEBB, it’s about the 66 per cent mark for Super Singles this season and I’ll try to keep that going.

  19. Greg Browning 10 years ago

AL good to see you back mate!

Hopefully your return will coincide with the return to form of your team! Still setting over their defeat last weekend that did me for a tidy amount, haha!

    • AL 10 years ago

It’s good to be back, the rig I was on had this site blocked as a gambling site, yet had no problems in signing into any of my bookies accounts!

That’s the Dons at their best Greg, start well then struggle against the lesser teams! To be fair though the youngsters have done great in recent weeks, they played some great stuff in the 5-0 drubbing of Falkirk, 3-0 at Partick & 1-0 against Caley.

Hopefully after the international break we’ll have Flood or Robson back in midfield to give a bit more bite & experience, & McGinn back to form & full fitness.

Some result for your lot last weekend!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

AL, good to have you back. I sometimes get blocked from this site on safari but not on firefox, there don’t seem to be any proper guidelines.

    • AL 10 years ago

Was the rig’s internet filter as opposed to a browser problem. Facebook, ebay, skysports & the like were blocked during dayshift working hours, but available at night time.

Just had a quick look back through your recent tips & see the usual complaints from fly by visitors when one of your tips don’t come in. At least the majority on here are semi sensible! Seriously though, who bets 2k on JPT trophy games? Just asking for trouble throwing that sort of money on games like that!

  20. raaljaca 10 years ago

Just over a decade ago Scotland squandered a 2-0 lead to draw with Belgium 2-2 at Hampden and it was seen as points dropped! Now Belgium are rated in possibly top 6 in the world and Scotland would struggle to get into top 6 in Britain!!! In just over 10 years Belgium have become a brilliant side so maybe Strachan is the man to take us onwards and upwards.

    SUPER SINGLES:

    4:00PM ARMENIA V BULGARIA
    TIP – BULGARIA @11/8

There was a little bit of hype around Armenia after they thrashed Denmark 4-0 on their own patch, but now reality has set in, Armenia are not a strong side. Bulgaria are 2nd in the group and need to win this to stay there. Armenia have lost 4/4 at home in this group including a 1-0 loss to Malta. Bulgaria won the reverse fixture 1-0 and 11/8 just looks like a really good value bet.

    4:30PM LITHUANIA V LATVIA
    TIP – LITHUANIA @6/5

Nothing to play for in this game but national pride. We fancy Lithuania here mainly because Latvia are so bad away from home. Lithuania aren’t a great side but they’re better than their opponents and @ 6/5, it’s worth backing.

    6:00PM FAROE ISLANDS V KAZAKHSTAN
    TIP – OVER 2.5 GOALS @5/4

I think the odds are quite generous for two teams that simply cannot defend. They both pop up with goals though and after Kazahstan put 3 past Moldova in Moldova in a friendly AND conceded, I feel like 5/4 represents some nice odds for this game.

    DOUBLE:

    7:00PM UKRAINE V POLAND
TIP – POLAND OR DRAW @21/20

This is just a big game for England as their own with a draw an ideal result for Roy’s Boys. I think this could end a draw, but Poland could just as easily nick it. Ukraine are strong at home but lacked potency against England and with nerves playing a part between the two Euro 2012 hosts, I think Poland or a draw is a likely result.

    7:45PM ICELAND V CYPRUS
    TIP – ICELAND -1 @5/4

Who’d have thought Iceland would be on the verge of finishing second in this group? Well, when you look at the rest of the group it might offer an indication as to why. They should be strong for a dreadful Cyprus side who have lost their last 9 away games and have won only once away since 2004. The -1 here looks good to us.

    DOUBLE PAYS: 3.61/1

    TREBLE:

    7:30PM ALBANIA V SWITZERLAND
    TIP – SWITZERLAND @5/6

Another one our resident expert Lewis has already selected but we’re going to stick it in our main treble too. Switzerland will be too strong for this Albania side as they seek to cement their place atop the group. Albania only have a faint chance of qualifying and this will be extinguished here.

    7:45PM SWEDEN V AUSTRIA
    TIP – SWEDEN @8/11

The big game in Group C but I just can’t see anything apart from a home win here. They’re a very strong side at home especially with Ibra in the team. Austria are not good travellers at all, with one away win in six years across all competitions and that was in Azerbaijan. Home win.

    7:45PM GERMANY V REP IRELAND
TIP – GERMANY OVER 2.5 TEAM GOALS @8/13

I thought about over 3.5 goals for Germany but we’ll still this one in the treble. This would have come up in all of Germany’s home qualifiers and they’re up against an Irish side pretty much at rock bottom. You just have to see Germany scoring at least three times, especially if Ireland attack like I’ve read they will.

    TREBLE PAYS: 4.11/1

    UP TO SOMETHING 14.45
    KILCOOLEY 17.30

Both horses running at Carlisle and both are trained and ridden by Charlie Longsdon and Noel Fehily. The two have attracted early money in both bookmakers and exchanges and are priced around 9/4 and 6/4 which will give around a 7/1 double if successful. UP TO SOMETHING is a successful Hurdler and National Hunt Flat horse now going for Chase success and KILCOOLEY is a Pointer who cost 40,000 pounds and is expected to win his first National Hunt Flat race today.

  24. Carl D 10 years ago

    Hi all,

I haven’t posted for a while but a match which stuck out (and the price) is Chile to win away to Columbia. Both are in strong positions in the South American Qualifying table but Chile have been on fire recently and have some really good counter-attacking players.

I think the type of game that will unfold will play into their hands in terms of style, Columbia should have more attacks and more possesion but Chile like to play this type of match.

Columbia usually win to nil but Chile simply don’t do low scoring, boring encounters. They attack at pace and have won their last 2 away at Columbia.

Prices of 3/1 on Chile are underating them but taking them in a DNB may be the safer route. That said Chile have not drawn a qualifier out of the 14 they have played so far, some might look at this as they are due one, I see it that Chile simply go for the win even if that means they end up losing, my sort of team!

Any team news is appreciated as is any thoughts on a match that could slip under the radar.

Thinking of a few singles (arsenal doing over my acca on Sunday is still bruising haha!)

First up is Andorra vs Romania. Andorra as we know are rubbish but have been better recently holding all teams (apart from Turkey away which they lost 5-0) to just 2 nil defeats. But Romania have a chance still of qualifying with them tied on 13 points with Turkey. Hungary are sitting 2nd on 14 points but surely won’t be beating the Dutch tonight. Goal difference is taken into account and Romania are +1 whilst turkey are +7 (thanks to that 5-0 win vs Andorra) I think Romania will go out looking to boost their goal difference and as such have taken Romania -3.5 at 2.425. Was looking at over 3.5 goals but that was literally cut in the last 20 mins from 11/10 to evens.

  27. joe 10 years ago

Like the look of some of the goalscorers Danny. Mitroglu in particular looks a cracking bet at 7/4. He’s got 2 hat tricks in his last 2 games for Olympiakos. One of them in the Champions League.

  32. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Carl, had a look at the Columbia game too mate – it’s a tough one to call! Columbia have scored in 22 of their last 23 home matches and have won 7 on the spin to Nil

Chile are unbeaten in 7 and that’s having played Spain, Brazil and Uruguay!

I’m struggling to pick a winner so think goals could be the way to go here! 11 of chile’s last 13 have seen over 2.5 goals and although Columbia have kept 7 consecutive clean sheets at Home I’m going to go for 2-3 match goals!

    20/21

    Good afternoon all!

I thought I’d submit my first post and tips on this site. Long time follower and thanks for all the excellent tips Mr.F and all the rest of the regulars over the past few months, thought it’s about time I gave something back (if it turns out to be worthwhile of course!)

My tips for today after some in depth research are:

    18:30pm – Malta v Czech Republic [Under 2.5 Goals]
    @ 2.10 [Bet365]

7 out of the last 10 games these teams have played have ended with under 2.5 goals. The Czechs I believe are without the influential Rosicky and have the excellent Petr Cech in goal so I expect them to keep things tight at the back. Malta have also kept the majority of their recent home games tight including against a combative Italy side.

    19:30pm – Albania v Switzerland [Under 2.5 Goals]
    @ 1.57 [Bet365]

These two tend to be low scoring teams…6/8 of Switzerland’s last away games were under 2.5 goals. To concur with this 6/8 of Albania’s last home games also ended with under 2.5 goals. Not MASSIVE value but I’ll be putting a reasonable amount on this.

    19:45pm – Germany v Ireland [Over 3.5 Goals]
    @ 1.83 [Bet365]

Bit of an obvious choice this one for me…most games involving Germany end with a flurry of goals and I believe this will be no exception! Ok the odds aren’t the greatest so you may want to include them in a double/treble (or more!) however instead I’m going on it as a large single!

Germany have scored 14 goals in their last 4 games but conceded 10 along the way. In addition to this Ireland have scored 10 in their last 4 – so to me this game screams goals. Ireland continue their search for a replacement manager but will want to impress Noel King plus if Robbie Keane starts it will be his 130th cap so I’m sure he’ll want one to remember, and Germany have got the incentive of qualifying early. Yes Germany are missing Klose, Gomez, Reus and Podolski for this game but I think the firepower of in form Ozil, Kroos and Muller will do the business tonight!

    21:00pm – Spain v Belarus [Under 2.5 Goals]
    @ 3.10 [Bet365]

I’m going against the fact that Spain are playing at home (Mallorca) and that Belarus are bottom of the group. Spain are without David Villa and the attacking potential of Jordi Alba, plus Iniesta is also a doubt. Belarus have kept their last few games fairly tight although obviously they’ve played much worse teams in those. Only small stakes though.

Best of luck all! Hope it’s a profitable evening!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Waddo, good write-up. I won’t have time to put one but I’m looking at under 2.5 at Greece v Slovakia and Azerbaijan v Nth Ireland and over 2.5 at Germany v Ireland and Portugal v Israel.

    • Waddo 10 years ago

Nice one Mr.F – good luck with those, was considering Portugal on there too!

    • Waddo 10 years ago

Hey Mr.F – decided to take your Portugal v Israel [Over 2.5 Goals] and combine it with Germany v Ireland [Over 2.5] as the best I could find were 1/2 odds, so this is my double for the night @ a best I could find of 2.14 [Ladbrokes]

      Good luck if taking on!

    • Waddo 10 years ago

Only problem is Coentrao, Postiga, Pereira, Alves, Lopes and Meireles are all missing tonight – so if they’re gonna score it’s got to be from Ronaldo…therefore Ronaldo 1st Goalscorer @ 5/2 looks tasty! Can’t see the goals from anyone else really

Bingo Mitroglou is well over priced the form he is on at the moment pretty much the same with Finnbogason who is now 8/5 Bet365 the rest are pretty much just a guess as I would imagine the 2 players above would be starting don’t know about the other 3

    • Titou 10 years ago

Danny i’d have to agree with you mate considering Mitroglou’s netted two hat tricks in his last two games he is way overpriced only reason I can think of is Greece lack of creativity in the middle of the park

    • Danny 10 years ago

that would be the only worry they are a pretty boring outfit not very often they score 2+ goals although he does have 3 in 3 for Greece so not the worst record I suppose not a massive fan of the internationals even though they are competitive games I have turned my attention to Saturdays treble of Preston – Dagenham – Exeter pays a nice $7.50 will whack a good few bucks on it

  47. Madi 10 years ago

    Michu only 8/11 anytime

  48. Madi 10 years ago

I was also looking at mitroglou but as titou says Greece don’t play the way olimpiakos do. I think Greece will win this but it’ll be a tight game and have taken Greece to win by one at 9/4. Also on mr fs super single. Good luck to everyone betting tonight

Some great Result this week Mr F, well done sir.

Does anyone know if Orient have many players out on international duties? Only asking as the 6/4 to win at home tomorrow against MK Dons is very tempting now before it gets slashed.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Warren, it’s one of my top picks this weekend so not sure. Will tell on their website I’m sure.

  52. Titou 10 years ago

    Mexico v Panama at 2.30am

In the last 5 meetings between these sides Panama have lost just once, 2 wins & 2 draws. The 2 games in Mexico in this period have finished 0-0 & 1-0 to Mexico.

Mexico have won just 1 of their 8 World Cup Qualifiers, with 5 draws & 2 defeats. An identical record to that of Panama. In Mexico’s 4 home qualifiers to date, 3 have finished 0-0 against Costa Rica, Jamaica & USA, while Honduras won 2-1.

    Panama to win – 11/1
    Draw – 4/1
Panama Draw No Bet – 17/2
    Panama Double chance – 11/4
    Panama + 1 – 11/4
    Panama + 2 – 8/11

Could be some value to be had in amongst those lot.

Panama +2 looks good value at 8/11. The draw at 4/1 looks big considering both sides have drawn 5/8 qualifiers. Will likely go on both of those later on tonight, keeping the stakes low of course so no 2k bets if you follow!

  55. Bingo 10 years ago

If anyone scores for Greece you’ve gotta fancy Mitroglu as already highlighted by Danny. 7/4 anytime at bet365 compared to 10/11 at William Hill. Couple of others at very decent prices to score anytime are Kolbein Sigthorsson (Iceland) at 7/4 and Umut Bulut (Turkey) at 8/5. bet365 prices. I’ve gone for the treble.

£5 returns not a kick in the baws off £100.

  56. o2ba 10 years ago

Kazackstan -1 is my super single tonight, and double it up with sturridge to score 2+

  57. Luke 10 years ago

    Greece
    Sweden
    Ukraine
    Switzerland
    Belgium
£10 pays over 280 at betvictor

  58. Lord Clegg 10 years ago

I’ve seen that new Score and Win bet and the coupons vary- Wm Hill has no draw column while McLeans allows the draw. So basically if you fancy a draw anything from 1-1 up will do so that’s why I’ve done Croat1a- Slovenia and Ecuador games to be score draws at decent prices.

  59. MP 10 years ago

Big ask I definately agree, worth a shot with the odds, and we know anything can happen….so lets see what happens…

  60. Cammy 10 years ago

An interesting game for BTTS is Slovenia vs Norway (@ 5/60): for both sides drawing is not good enough so you would expect if one side goes one up, the other will need to go for it.

    • Cammy 10 years ago

      (5/6*)

  61. thechief 10 years ago

Cammy Norway are going to be my super single as Slovenia have quite a few players out of tonights game.

    • Cammy 10 years ago

the chief, I wanted to put Norway to win but it’s a debut for their manager and he squad they have is inexperienced, so I went for BTTS

  62. Danny 10 years ago

like the look of Martin Patterson 2 open the scoring for Northern Ireland he is 8/1 @ SkyBet or Ladbrokes he starts up front with Jamie Ward who is 10/1 to open the scoring @ Coral Steven Davis behind the front 2 anytime looks not bad @ 13/2 Various first is a push @ 20/1 Betfair

    England V Montenegro

It is a massive game at Wembley tonight as the three lions attempt to take a huge step to Rio. England have made hard work qualifying out of this group and now face a Montenegro side who they have drawn with on all 3 occasions. England have a good record at Wembley having only lost 1 in 13.

We are England and it wont be straight forward. Ashley Cole is out, Joe Hart is not in great form, and Gary Cahill and Phil Jagielka are no Terry & Ferdinand. I can see Montenegro scoring, so 3/1 at Hills on England to win and btts is were I’m starting.

For goal scorers there are growing speculation Tottenham forward is going to start, which I think is a great move by Hodgson, I want us to be on the front foot from the off and Townsend has been impressive this season for Tottenham. He is afraid to take a defender on and take shots at goal, if he starts I will be on him to score at 5/1 at Coral. One player who will certainly start is Wayne Rooney, he has 5 goals in 4 games in qualifying and I am with him to fire us closer to Rio. He is 5/4 Bet365.

ENGLAND TO WIN & BTTS 3/1
    TOWNSEND TO SCORE 5/1
    ROONEY TO SCORE 5/4

Good luck if your having a bet

    • Waddo 10 years ago

ARGH! I put £20 on Bulgaria, and they have had 3 players sent off! It looks like 2 were sent off at the same time just after they equalised. Gutted :(

  71. Waddo 10 years ago

Any one betting on the Armenia game? Bet365 appear to have just pulled it, but before that it was showing Bulgaria had 3 x Reds, Flashscores only showing 2

  72. robroy 10 years ago

Yes Waddo I just noticed they changed it from 3 sendings off to 2…strange. Hopefully Bulgaria can nick a goal on the counter :)

    • Waddo 10 years ago

Yeah red cards just completely bugger your bets up, as you say though they have more to play for than Armenia so may nick a late one

  73. Waddo 10 years ago

Oh it’s back in play again…unlucky robroy, uphill challenge now

  74. Iain 10 years ago

    Peterborough(21/20)

  75. Stephen head 10 years ago

John- you asked of any tips of over 2 or 2.5 goals. I would say Fleetwood v my team Chesterfield. Its a lovely pleasant ground, but looks a smallish pitch where defence can soon be converted into attack. Unlike Doncaster rovers ground which looks quite long and can take 5 minutes to get from one end to the other. It was 4-2 to chesterfield last season but could have been 7-5.Mark Richards scored 2 last season but is out injured. but we have a similar player on loan from Sheff utd in Chris Porter. At 4-5 on Betfreds it looks nailed on.

  76. Greg Browning 10 years ago

    Grand Prix darts

    Pipe v Hamilton

Two very consistent players, both playing extremely well it looks very close on paper, and I think it will go all the way. Pushed for a winner I would probably side with Hamilton, but I am taking over 4.5 sets at 7/4 Various.

    Wade V Whitlock

Game 2 sees two premier league regulars go head to head, both have survived match darts in this tournament so far, but I just fancy Wade will nick this he has won the last two tv meetings. Wade to win 10/11 Various.

    Taylor V Anderson

Anderson is playing very well so far and will fancy his chances of beating an out of sorts Taylor, he will need to hit is doubles to do so. Taylor was poor against Nicholson and it is very rare he puts in back to back bad performances, I think he bounces back tonight and put pressure on Anderson doubles. Taylor to win 3-0 is my call at 7/4 Sportinglife.

    Van Gerwen V Chisnall

MVG was simply awesome against Barneveld as he took him apart and will enjoy plying Chisnall as he his a quick player. Chisnall misses far too many doubles and MVG can make him pay. I fancy another MVG whitewash 9/5 Boylesports.

Good luck if your having a bet

  80. Bingo 10 years ago

Lukaku anytime was 11/4 and he’s banged in 2 so far… I’ve got him as my super single in Mr F’s bet365 comp. I didn’t even back him either… What a tool…

  81. Alex Walker 10 years ago

Am not just saying this because am a scot. But how are england 2to5 to win tnite. They have only beat 2 teams out the group moldova and san marino and drawn 4. I for one wont be anywhere near that lot. Plus there is not a cat in hells chance that england will win the world cup in the next 30yrs.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Alex, England are that short because they rarely lose a qualifier at home, I think someone said three in 60 years. Also bookies will expect to take a load of cash on them so you have to take that into account. You will always get value backing against England because most of the odds compilers are English or English-based.

  82. robin 10 years ago

Fingers crossed another super single up mr F

  83. top trumps 10 years ago

    Rooney anytime at evens
England to win 4-2 at 50/1 for a daft £2

  84. Dougie C 10 years ago

Mr F I said I would look at the Scottish leagues for BTTS after the midweek losers. Well I think the bookies were checking your comments all 2/5 or 4/9 so for value here is a mix. BTTS Arbroath and Stenhousemuir and Berwick and Peterhead win.Pays about 4.8-5 GL

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Dougie C, that’s interesting. My treble, already picked for the Record is btts at Arbroath, Stenny and Berwick. I also have Peterhead on the homes.

  85. thechief 10 years ago

Waddo think you will be alright with Sturridge it was him or Rooney for me. Could do Welbeck too as he is in form for England, they won’t all score, be good if they did but think it will be a nervy night ahead, good luck

    • Waddo 10 years ago

Cheers buddy – good luck with your bets too

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

fifer, I’ll be looking at Argentina -1. Should win by a few against a pretty poor Peru side.

  100. Max 10 years ago

Mr F are you doing late night american tips???

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Max, not a chance. Friday’s my manic day with my Record column so once I’ve posted the usual weekend pieces I’ll be cracking open a few beers and sitting down to watch some footie. Argentina -1 and maybe the usual Messi to score first is what I’ll be on plus maybe btts at Colombia-Chile.

  101. Alex Walker 10 years ago

Mr F. Am 53yo and this has to be the worst england team av ever watched. Like i said before the game 2to5 to win was a joke and anybody who backed thdm must have money to burn. Yes only ht but they just dont look like scoring. England always had a good team maybe not good enough to win the world cup. But this is the poorest av ever watched.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Alex, I’m watching Spain but didn’t take England wrong to ram your words down your throat. 1-0 will do me nicely.

  102. Max 10 years ago

Okay cheers Mr F no worries

  103. Andrew Sword 10 years ago

Just a little thought here for anyone who likes the super singles…..

If you started with £20 and had backed the last 5 winners with the full stake you had won, you would be sitting with £794.64.

I’ve tried this a few times this season already in the hope(almost a certainty) Fixit would get 6 in a row at some point which would almost always return over 1300.

Just wish i’d stuck at it! Sods law that the first of the sequence was Hibs who i would never back! Not sure i’d have the balls to go for the last one anyway!!

    Heres the bets
    Hibs DNB 23/20 £20 returns 43
    Cambridge 1/1 £43 returns 86
    Liege women overs 11/10 £86 returns 180.60
    Scotland slovakia overs 1/1 £180.60 returns 361.20
    Belgium DNB 6/5 £361.20 returns 794.64

Anyway…. Good luck all and keep up the good work Mr F.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Andrew, the longer you do that the harder it is to keep putting on the full stake. The best this year is seven Super Singles in a row so it’s Dagenham tomorrow for six. Top Treble has also won tonight so that’s not bad for a “joke tipster”. That’s what I was branded after last Saturday’s very well reasoned top treble was beaten. As I’ve said judge me overall and not on one day.

  104. Madi 10 years ago

    Been a class night!

    Romania -3.5 at 2.425 :)
    Mr fs super single :)

  105. jamesyboy 10 years ago

    is messi fit mr f

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

jamesyboy, pretty certain Messi is out as is Higuain so first scorer bet will be on Aguero or maybe Di Maria. As I said earlier I haven’t had a chance to really look at the South American games but will check out the teams later then doing something.

  117. Lord Clegg 10 years ago

Nice treble Mr F- I’m glad to say I followed your advice.
Looking forward to tomorrows lower league tips. I always think less matches on the coupon concentrates the mind. It would be a nice double to win on the Friday Internationals and then the Saturday selection!

  118. James Coyle 10 years ago

Hi Paul. Thanks for the tips. I done Uruguay, Iceland and Germany as advised. Waiting on Argentina later tonight. Good night for punters!

  119. Luke A 10 years ago

Happy with my 280 winnings from my 5fold. On holiday in Rhodes at the minute, and spent fortune on mega long night last night. Recouped it all plus little bit of profit, happy days! Belgium were massive odds, guaranteed to have half decent world cup next year. Star studded squad with strength in depth. I rate them as Europe’s best hope of winning it. Only Germany and possibly Holland have chance too in my opinion

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Luke, Belgium are decent but for me Germany and Holland are on another level although I’d rather be on the Germans. And you can’t rule out Spain.

  120. Craig Kavanagh 10 years ago

Nice one again Mr F, 5 in a row! Belgium could be dark horses next summer, well in on the treble, took the Germans and Iceland from it, also had a tenner on sturridge, just waiting on spain seeing this out for a fantastic night!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Craig, Spain sorted now, simply wore them down. It’s been a spectacular night, just realised my unders/overs line that I commented about earlier is in and I did a couple of silly bets on Ladbrokes new three-for-all coupon which features win-draw-win, btts and over or under 2.5 goals for each game. It’s quite a good coupon but you need to get your round the fact there are three different markets for each game.

Zam, just going for a small over 2.5 goals in the ASA game mate!

Main bet for me tonight is Argentina / USA over 1.5 team goals double! Pays 1/1

It’s certainly not MrF, these nights come along every now and again!

I have no confidence in Spain after the confederations cup, they struggled in that heat and humidity. Belgium is full of rising stars, and I just feel they’ll run riot against some teams. That said, will be interesting to see how they cope with the pressure on the big stage, now that everyone is talking up their chances.

Five in a row, Mr F – brilliant!

    . . .

It’s been a bad week for Brazil being unpredictable Brazil, though, but maybe tonight will be the one that turns back in our favour! I’m going for a double tonight based on opposing teams who are in poor runs of form.

    Brazil – Serie B
    KO 11.30pm

    America MG v Boa
America MG are low in the home table. They’re 18th out of 20, but they’re still not terrible on their own patch. That’s W5 D2 L7 F24 A21. That’s a positive goal difference, and recent results have improved from a poor start to the season. They’ve won 2 and drawn 3 of their last five overall, with goals F4 A2. Meanwhile, Boa have been dreadful. They’re second-bottom on five-match form. W0 D1 L4 F2 A11. Overall, away, they’re seventh, but the opposite is true to MG. They started quite well, but are falling away.

I think we can trust MG in this one. Odds aren’t great – 8/11 – but it looks a solid home.

    Joinville v Icasa
Joinville haven’t won in six and their last game was a home loss against ABC. It was only ABC’s second away win of the season. That said, ABC have been improving – and a few of us did pick that game for the away during the week – in my case amongst a huge bag of otherwise complete sh*te – but a big part of that pick was due to Joinville’s poor form. It really is worth noting that in their last five games, it’s four defeats and one loss: F6 A10. Icasa, though, have a far better away record than ABC – they’re sixth best away in the league and a particular favourite of mine! They’re not by any stretch sensational, but they tend to be reliable in a league of so many jekyll & hyde sides. And their current five-match form is W2 D2 L1 F8 A5.

At 9/2 for the away, that’s a good shot.

The double pays at 9.49 – and it looks decent. But it has been a bad week!

Good luck tonight and tomorrow, everyone.

    Argentina 1-0 down

Zam, I was pleased to wake up and see two of my three bets in – Argentina -1 and both to score at Colombia. Amazed by that Colombia comeback though – but red cards always change games.

Successful night with Sweden, Germany, Holland and Iceland all winning.

Had success on the handicaps as well with Germany, Turkey, Holland and France! Looking forward to Tuesday’s matches.
