IT'S fair to say Dunfermline cost me a few quid and some winning lines on Saturday.
I've have no regrets backing the Pars to score 2+ or putting them on the aways – and they also beat the both teams to score treble.
A few people had a moan about losing on the Fifers but no one was more disappointed than me. Every stat pointed to them netting and Saints conceding – even if the Paisley men are in a higher league. My other Super Single was a winner with Peterborough away to Swindon.
Saturday was a cracking day for Greg Browning and Desmond was a goal short on his 2+ double.
It was a day for goals on Saturday and well done to everyone who picked winners – and I noticed another red card for Willie Collum in the Italy game (correctly shown) but didn't clock he was the ref.
Anyway only three more days of Euro qualifiers to go and we can get back to normal. Tonight's game include Poland v Ireland, Greece v Hungary and Serbia v Portugal and I've posted a full preview on the Group D matches.
My Super Single is Hungary at a toiling Greece who have scored just three goals in their nine qualifiers and were well beaten 3-1 in Belfast last time out.
Hungary have clinched a play-off spot but need a win to have any chance of pipping Romania to second spot. They've nothing to lose so should go out and pick up the win.
Romania head to the Faroes needing three points after their dismal home draw with Finland. They should claim the win they need to finish second but the Faroes haven't been hammered by anyone and only lost 2-1 in Hungary last week. It should be close with the Romanians possibly winning by one.
The final Group F game sees Northern Ireland travelling to Finland for a party although it's worth noting they need a point to clinch top spot. I don't see them losing but best bet could be Kyle Lafferty to score at 29-10 with boylesports after missing the Greece win through suspension.
He has seven goals in qualification, including two against Finland in Belfast, and I'm risking a 1pt Super Single on him to score first tonight.
The other matches tonight are in Group I and while there is nothing to play for between Serbia and Portugal that's not the case for Albania in Armenia. After fierce rivals Serbia denied them a chance to celebrate their first finals spot the Albanians can seal the deal with a win in Yerevan.
Armenia have picked up just two points in a desperately disappointing campaign while Albania haven't conceded a goal on the road – picking up seven points. A draw or defeat will send them into the play-offs but I'm on Albania to pick up the points they need to push Denmark into the play-offs.
Albania are 13-10 at Ladbrokes and Coral and not to lose are a best 1-3 with Coral. The latter kicks off the Top Treble with Germany -2 and both to score at Poland v Ireland.
Having read Portugal released Cristiano Ronaldo, Tiago and Ricardo Carvalho I'm tempte dby Serbia at 31-20 with bet365 and BetVictor. It's obvious group winners Portugal have switched off to this one and Serbia should be switched on at the end of a disastrous campaign. They have a batch of quality players and will be looking to put on a show for their hard-to-please fans.
Instead of backing Serbia though take Serbia draw no bet in a double with Plymouth to score. Derek Adams's side have failed to net just once this season and should be on target at Notts County.
Talking of both to score I wouldn't put anyone off backing that market in the League One clash between Notts County and Plymouth. I hadn't planned to put up any more bets but hopefully they all have a chance as long as Lafferty and the Irish boys – like someone suggested – haven't been on the lash. That should wait until they've clinched top spot.
The Poles are decent going forward but showed defensive deficiencies in drawing 2-2 with Scotland twice. Ireland must avoid defeat and score at least twice to qualify automatically and they might as well have a go with a play-off spot secured.
Poland of course have Robert Lewandowski so both to score looks value at 11-10 with Coral.

Oddschecker isn’t giving us markets for the Confed Cup game being played in Pasadena tonight but I think we could have a good game here. The tie between Mexico and USA will likely see the 93000+ stadium full to the brim to see the winner and team that will represent the North American region at the 2017 Confederations Cup, battling world-class opposition while touring the 2018 World Cup host nation.
Ricardo Ferretti has only been in charge for two of Mexico’ friendlies which saw both sides score and over 2.5 match goals against Trinidad (3-3) and Argentina (2-2). I’m hoping we see a similar kind of game tonight. Klinsmann has a host of US talent to chose from but has never really adapted a style of keeping goals out of their own net and having conceded in 5 of their last 6 games under the German. This was set to be the Gold Cup final but the US defence just wasn’t up to it, losing out to Panama in a penalty shootout in the semi final. I placed a bet in high st bookie on a dog which won, when I went to collect my winnings the cashier just gave me my money back and gingerly said I was too late.
She showed me the times and the bet was accepted 2 seconds after race started, no problem, but my question is why did the system not tell her it was too late and where would the money go if it hadn’t won?
Slim, it’s not good to be honest and I’d query it with the manager, especially if you are a regular.
As you say she should tell you at the time it’s too late but 2 seconds too late should be allowed at the discretion of the manager.

Four goals for Greece was unexpected but not that crazy.
End of qualification games often spring up surprises when other outcomes make a game a dead rubber. Romania winning by 2 meant that a Hungary win would have made no difference.
Besides Greece can’t be that bad (like a Malta or Andorra) and were always liable to turn-up against somebody.The odds reflected this and you take your chances.

Good nights work…Internationals are becoming rather profitable.
Mr F/Greg, can you please help.?? I’m having difficulty with my current online betting site with there inconsistency in settling bets.. like goal scorers or team goals. Is this something use have encounteted or have advice on.? It cost me alot of money tonight as I was waiting on winnings coming back into acc and missed two bets which both won.
Rick, some are better than others. Some firms will credit you almost immediately but others have a “cooling off” period. This is because where scorers are concerned the arbiter can change the scorer and I’ve noticed some bets not being settled until after full-time.
Where team goals are concerned possibly they’re waiting until full-time for to see how many team goals there are and for all credits to be done – and remember it’s done by computer and not manually.
You don’t name the firm so I don’t know for sure.

Rick, complaints via Live Chat will usually result in at least a free bet. Regularly complain particularly on slow settlement of goals bets and cash out problems on accumulators (usually problems where I’ve been waiting for a couple of goals on BTTS accas and cash out is not available as the bookie concerned have not updated winning selections in my acca)…

Cartagines have only scored 2 in 5 away from home so far & haven’t scored in the last 4 but they have got a good record for scoring in Belen, notching in their last 5 visits there.
Belen have the 2nd highest scoring in the league at the moment with Adams notching 7 in 12.

Just seen Walsall seem a big price at home to Chesterfield. Game is on Saturday coming but evens at skybet seems very generous for top against a struggling side at home. Was imagining something like 1.66 to 1.8 for that.

Stumbled on a couple of great looking bets over the past few days. Bromley are 40/1 to win the league at skybet. Each way pays 3 places at 1/4. Alternatively they are 4/1 for a top 5 finish, and 4/11 for a top half (12) finish really is printing money for anyone with huge staking power and patience!
