IT'S been a great week on the site for people who follow my feature bet. The Super Single's come up six times out of eight and last night's was a 3-1 beauty.

I tipped Dundee Utd to score over 2.5 goals and while they took their time to reach the mark they ended up beating Kilmarnock 5-2 in their Scottish Cup clash.

I'm hoping to maintain the good run today and I've picked Brighton in the lunchtime Championship kick-off away to Bournemouth. Brighton have been on a superb run recently, winning their last three against Wigan, Blackburn and Doncaster.

Confidence is high after a spell in which they couldn't buy a goal and they'll be looking to win at a Bournemouth side who are without a win in five and who have lost their last two at home to Derby and Bolton without scoring. Brighton are a best 6-4 with the likes of Ladbrokes.

The reasoning for my Top Treble is on another post and I'm going for three aways – Brentford, Dumbarton and Stranraer.

Aston Villa are my biggest price on the homes and I expect them to edge out Sunderland. Add Scunthorpe who have won their last nine at home to a struggling Torquay.

I can't ignore home experts Halifax, at home to Guisley in the FA Trophy, who have won nine and drawn two in front of their own fans in the Conference Premier.

And I'm completing the line with two hot favourites in the Scottish Cup as I go for Inverness at home to Morton and St Johnstone against Livingston.

My aways kick off with Brentford and I'm adding on-form Leeds at Blackburn. My third pick in today's Daily Record is Aberdeen simply because they're too good to ignore at Partick Thistle and of course the price is crashing. As we have daily tips on the site swap with Stranraer if you don't want to include a Sunday selection.

I've also posted my over 2.5 goals/both to score line separately.

Last week I picked out four draws for the first time in a while and landed lucky with a 125-1 four-timer. Of course I've got to try again but remember the odds of me winning are small and the suggested bet is a 50p or £1 Yankee (11 bets). One double should return your outgoings.

So here are today's tips from my Daily Record column.

    Italy – Serie B

    Another Funny 1

    Latina – Juve Stabia

7th Placed Latina host a rock bottom vastly different Juve stabia side from last season. Away From home Juve have only managed 5 points out of an available 24 even worse at home not won a game and have 2 points from a possible 21 barring a miracle they are down already half way through the season.

Promoted 3 times in 3 years the boys from the capital Latina are more than holding their own in the Italian second tier they sit in 7th place in the hunt with a promotion place in a bit of form at the moment not lost a game in 10 drawing 5 and winning 5 I will add that they have only lost 2 home games in over a year now that is why I cant understand how they are not short priced favourites for todays fixture

    Latina 2 Win 23/20 @ Betvictor
Latina Race to 2 Goals 2/1 @ Coral
Latina 2 Score In Both Halves 45/17 @ Unibet

Optimistic – Latina Win Both Halves 11/2 @ Unibet

Good morning, gents. (And good afternoon, Danny!)

I have a range of options for you today. I think there are a couple of very decent odds-against singles here for anyone who rolls that way. And there are three odds-on choices that would also make a very decent treble.
But I like the fivefold, and I’m on it!

    Germany – Oberliga NOFV-Nord
BFC Dynamo v Brandenburger KO 12pm
Where do you start with the home side? You kind of only have to look at the league table and BFC’s stats.
    P13 W12 D1 F32 A5. Home: P7 W7 F19 A2
Brandenburger are second in the league and third best away side. They have 14 points from 7 away games. And, in every likelihood, still will tomorrow around 2 o’clock.

    The home is 1/2

    Germany – Oberliga Hamburg
    Vier-Und Marschlande v Curslack Neuengamme KO 1pm
Where do you start with this away side? They’ve won seven in a row, the scores have been 7-0, 4-0, 3-0, 4-0, 2-0, 2-0, 2-0.
V&M are fifth bottom of the league and fourth bottom at home. They’re no match for CN on this form.
Additionally, despite losing to V&M very early on at home this season, CN have beaten them home and away both of the previous two seasons.

    Away is 4/5

    Germany – Regionalliga Nordost
Hertha Berlin II v TSG Neustrelitz KO 12.30pm
Where do you start with THIS away side?
They started off with a draw, then they got beat. They’ve played 12 games since and they haven’t dropped a point. They’re F29 A6 for the season. Their run includes a win away at the second best home side, Magdeburg, whose record is now P7 W6 D0 L1 F20 A5. TSG’s 2-1 away win is the only thing that spoils what would have been a perfect home record.
Today’s opponents, Hertha, are fourth best home, but not as good as Magdeburg – and, more importantly, not as good as TSG.

    Away is 5/4

    England – League Two
    Southend v Cheltenham KO 3pm
They go 1-0 down away midweek after two minutes. They get a man sent off. They come back and win the game 2-1 with two goals in the last 20 minutes. How good is the feelgood factor likely to be at Southend? They’ve now won seven of their last nine and four in a row, and they’re up to third in the table.
Are they playing a team in some form? Not especially. Cheltenham haven’t lost in six games, but they’re still only 16th, and their overall away record wouldn’t inspire confidence. P8 W3 D1 L4 F9 A15.

    The home is 23/20

    England – Southern Premier League
    Bedford v Bashley KO 3pm
Bedford are fourth bottom and haven’t won in nine. However, they’ve only played four at home in that time, and got creditable 2-2 and 3-3 draws with 6th away St Albans and 8th away Burnham. They lost 4-0 to top away side, Cambridge City, but stuck two past 13th best away Bideford. OK, they also conceded 4, but we’re looking to establish that they can score a goal at home – and that may be all they need to do to win against Bashley.
Bashley started the season with two draws, and since then have lost every game – 13 in a row. One team they lost to early on in the run is second bottom AFC Totton. Totton are P9 W1 D1 L7 F11 A29 at home. Take out the Bashley game and their home record would be P8 W0 D1 L7 F8 A28.
    Bedford’s home record is P8 W2 D2 L4 F13 A20.
    And Bashley’s away record is P7 W0 D1 L6 F5 A25.
This is must-win for Bedford, who are in the final relegation place, in order to re-establish contact with Burnham, four points ahead in 19th.
    The home is 8/11.

That fivefold offers a payback at a shade under 22.6

    . . .

    Good luck today, everybody!

    Good morning guys.

Hi Mr. F, could you help me out with the “Yankee Bet” system? will be much appreciated.

    • Jimmybee 10 years ago

      Yankee bet provides 6 doubles 4 trebles and 1 accumulator = 11 bets @ 50p
Your outlay would be £5.50. Only 2 right would guarantee a return.

fleetwood vs oxford looks good for a draw on paper mrf but have been burnt by unpredictable bets on both this season will give it a go anyway

  8. Chris Guy 10 years ago

What’s the bet on scorers Paul, Daly and McKay. Anytime is shorter than 2/1 for the double. Best price is just over 2/1 with Coral

  9. Chris Guy 10 years ago

McKay is a stand out bet at 8/11 to score anytime with Coral. He is 2/5 or shorter elsewhere.

@Marcopolo good luck , weekends always tricky

  13. Chris Guy 10 years ago

too many teams marcopolo. Treble or a 4 fold at the most but picking 9 teams plays right into the hands of the bookies. Your return might be less but at least you will have more chance of winning and building up what you have to bet with.

  14. JEEZY 10 years ago

    My tip is from Romania
    Steaua Bucuresti-Petrolul Ploiesti X2 at 2.4
Indeed Steaua is a tough team but today should be a tired one because the meeting with schalke surely was a fatigue one.
Petrolul also played this week but they are more on championship and they have a better team this year then last one. Also Steaua has 2-3 important missing players due to injuries.
I am putting this tip because Petrolul want more then anything this year to take the championship and the team is stronger. Also Petrolul actually is not an away team because they are close to steaua(50 km).

  15. JEEZY 10 years ago

This is sunday match but the odds are very good now

  16. mattyp 10 years ago

    any thoughts on
    Leighton orient
    Brentford
    preston
div 1 ‘ all these are top verses bottom with 2 of the teams at home. the odds are all nearly evens and make a nice treble

  17. phil 72 10 years ago

do like a bet on petrolul myself jeezy but when was the last time steaua lost let alone at home should be some goals though

  18. JEEZY 10 years ago

@ PHIL Thats why i took X2 for this game.
Also BTTS is at evens and coul be a safer one.the last 4 fixtures went O 2,5 and only in the cup Petrolul didnt score but they had 2 important players missing

  20. Chris Guy 10 years ago

Common Kris you can do it again!!

Guys just to let you know take advantage of Bet365 price of 15/2 for Kris Commons to score first goal. Best price available elsewhere is 5/1 but he is as short as 7/2 with a few bookies. After his brace last weekend he should never be priced up at 15/2 especially when he hits the free kicks and is the penalty taker. Commons @ 21/10 to score anytime is also great value. I expect the game to be a slow burner and I expect Celtic to score a few goals in the second half.

    Recommended Bets:
Kris Commons First Goalscorer @ 15/2
Kris Commons First Goalscorer 1-20 mins @ 16/1
Kris Commons to score anytime @ 21/10

    A league

    Sydney v Newcastle

Both teams in good form with 3 wins in a row. They played earlier in the season and Sydney won 2-0. Before that match the previous 6 H2H were over 2.5 so I’ll be on that at 1.85.

Sydney have the better of it historically especially at home with 8 wins out of 14 which makes it surprising that Sydney can be backed at 2.59. I’ll have a wee nibble at that on small stakes as my main tip is the overs. Newcastle are in great form which is why the odds are such but Sydney are winning games too so I expect a good game.

I’m liking the generous prices being made available on Rangers goals today in the Scottish Cup away at Falkirk. 7/4 for O2.5 team goals and o3.5 is 5/1. The countries hottest hit man Jon Daly is 5/6 anytime,4/1 too score 2 or more and 16/1 for 3 or more. Rangers can be had at 11/10 too score in both halves. After going out the League Cup with a whimper I can see them being out too prove a point today and expect a strong performance against a team from the division above. Any thoughts ?

With Bet365 Inverness are Evens to score over 2.5 against a a very poor Morton side.

The last time these 2 met in this competition was 2 years ago, ICT won it 5-1 and they is obviously a bigger guld in class between the teams from then and now.

Morton lost there last league game 5-1 at home to livingston, and only a month ago the same scoreline away to thier relegation rivals cowdenbeath.

Fully expect Mckay, Doran ect..to put them to the sword.

Evens is basically buying money IMO.

  36. Madi 10 years ago

Have to go on the draws after last weekends success! I’m looking at Ramsey anytime scorer at 11/4 against his former club. Read a interesting stat that giroud has only scored 1 goal outside of London so going to give Ramsey a go. Also on the super single

A brilliant day on the whole yesterday. 3 from 4 for me yesterday and it was a great day. Mr F landed a brilliant 3/1 super single and Greg and many others posted winning tips. Particularly enjoy the tips in the afternoons on the overs. El Tel, Rob and many others posted winners yesterday. Glad to see a lot of horse winners too, only briefly glance at them so don’t really know too much about all the tips but I know raaljaca and many others are winning every week. Anyway back to today and 4 tips from 3 matches across Europe. Here we go!

FLEETWOOD TOWN V OXFORD UNITED 3:00pm

Oxford have been excellent away from home this season and have been scoring plenty on the road. Fleetwood have been excellent at home recently and won a 5-4 thriller last weekend. I think Oxford have the ability to really cause Fleetwood problems here. I think it could be a very high scoring match and I think Oxford will definitely play their part. I was expecting the goals markets to be pretty short here, yet over 2.5 goals is 19/20. Now, even more appealing is Oxford over 1.5 team goals and that pays a massive 9/4. For me, that’s way way too big and I’ll be getting on that for sure.

HEERENVEEN V GO AHEAD EAGLES 6:45pm

Goals goals goals. These two sides have been involved in countless high scoring games this season (which means this will surely end 1-0 or even 0-0). The last 5 Go Ahead Eagles away matches have had 23 goals and the last 5 Heerenveen home matches have seen a massive 26 goals. Both teams have scored plenty in their respective fixtures and for my first bet here I’m going to go on here is Heerenveen to score over 2.5 goals which would have come up in 3 of their last 5 and Go Ahead Eagles have conceded 3 or more goals in 3 of their last 5 away games. That bet pays a decent 11/10 here. Now, this one is a risk so you don’t have to go on it and if you do, just be sensible with it. Over 4.5 match goals is the one I’m going for here which is a big amount, but the stats point towards it. That pays only 2/1 but I’m happy to take it on, although as I say, please don’t go on it unless you’re as confident as me!

REAL MADRID V REAL VALLADOLID 7:00pm

We all know about Madrid so you don’t need me to tell you that they score lots of goals. They’ve been in free scoring form recently and with Ronaldo hopefully returning for this one, there should be plenty of goals for the home side here. 16 goals in their last 3 home matches in all competitions pretty much tells its own story. They have score exactly 4 goals in 3 out of the last 4 meetings between the two sides and 3 the other time too. Recently, Valladolid went to Barcelona who hit 4 past them and Madrid tend to score more than their illustrious rivals. I’m going to be going for Real Madrid to match Barca here by scoring 4 or more goals. That pays 6/5.

    TIPS:
Oxford United over 1.5 team goals – 9/4
Heerenveen v Go Ahead Eagles over 4.5 match goals – 2/1
    Heerenveen over 2.5 team goals – 11/10
Real Madrid over 3.5 team goals – 6/5

4 bets from me today and hopefully at least 2 will come in for some profit. I have to say, there is a lot of value out there today considering the stats involved. The best of luck for your Saturday picks!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Alex, got Heerenveen, Real Madrid, Hoffenheim and Schalke all over 2.5 match goals. Can see your 2 foreign games coming up no problem, good luck mate.

Yeah leeds are away at Blackburn I’m setting off shortly we r a good price to beat them, and MCcormack anytime or first is always good punt he’s on fire, I’m saying draw ht leeds ft , the amount of times out games are draws at half time and we go on to sneak a win, or even 12/5 just for win is worth 20 quid of anyone’s money :) GL all. TIP OF DAY AUSTRALIA -8 in RL WORLD CUP

  48. John 10 years ago

Alex, whenever i see teams to score 2 or more goals in a game priced up at Over Even money i do tend to think the team must not be all that great, i mean Oxford to score 2 or more at 9/4, i’d be very wary of that but as you’ve proven with your bets recently it can happen :-)

    • Alex 10 years ago

John – The reason it’s priced at 9/4 is because they’re not the favourites to win not because they struggle to score. Sometimes the stats point one way and the bookies want to go the other. I’m pretty confident that Oxford can do it and I wouldn’t select it if I wasn’t.

    Turkish Football Update

It is another derby day in Istanbul Turkey Fenerbahce V Besiktas. (kick off 18:00)

Fenerbahce are worthy favorites but the safer bet here is BTTS @ 8/13. Both teams like to play attacking football and have capable players.

I also like Kayserispor at home to Akhisar Belediye. (kick off 13:30)

Akhisar have not only recorded a win away from home but they have not even managed to score a goal away from home in the league yet.
Kayserispor managed by Prosinecki finished 5th in the league last season and had high hopes for this year. They have great facilities as a club and regarded as a top 10 club in Turkey. They only managed their second win of the season last week. I believe return of Bobo from injury played a major part in it. Vibes are positive from the Kayseri camp and @ 1/1 worth a punt at home.

Finally I like Genclerbirligi at home to Gaziantepspor(kick off 17:00)

Gaziantepspor appointed Sergen Yalcin as their manager last week and managed to beat a very poor Elazigspor side last week 3-1. I would personally not read much into it. This is Sergen first managerial job and if I am not wrong he does not even hold a pro-licence required. Instead he has someone on his staff with the required licence.??!! Something like that anyway :))
He was one of the most talented players in Turkish football but also lived accordingly which limited his career to only Turkey. He knows his football and used to talk a lot of sense when he was a football pundit. But I believe todays game will be a reality check for him.

Genclerbirligi suffered their first loss after appointing highly regarded young manager Mehmet Ozdilek. In his for games in charge W3 L1 and beat the likes of Trabzonspor & Eskisehirspor.
Genclerbirligi is one of those clubs that has no financial problems and very stable. They have the same chairman since 1978. They will be way too strong for Gaziantepspor today, @ 1/1 its is a great punt.

    BETTS I HAD:

    Yankee on
    Fenerbahce V Besiktas BTTS @ 8/13
    Kayserispor @ 1/1
    Genclerbirlig @ 1/1
    Aberdeen @ 6/5

Also backed Wilshire to score First @16/1 and anytime @11/2

    Good luck.

Hi Guys, some info about interesting games from a friend of mine.

    FLUMINENSE – ATLETICO-MG

Maracana will host once again Fluminense in a very important game for the relegation battle.
Atletico-MG are the visitors, a team that started very bad the season, having already secured a Copa Liberdatores spot. They were close to relegation positions for many weeks but in the end the home games (13-4-1) brought them to 6th place.
Away from home on the other hand, they are very poor with the worst attack, having scored only 6 times which is even less than relegated Nautico’s 8.
This means great opportunity for Fluminense to take all points. It is do or die for home team, anything than a win here can send them to Serie B, after winning the title last season.

Besides Atletico-MG has a much more important goal, in december they will play in FIFA Club World Cup and they want to win it.

Rhayner (s/26/0) is suspended for hosts. Diego Cavalieri (gk/27/0) got a hand injury during last week and awaits medical staff’s verdict.

For Mineiro, Ronaldinho (m/13/5) could be back after long term injury.

I’m expecting a tight game but in the end motivation and fans will help Fluminense achieve the very important 3 points.9/10

    CRICIUMA – SAO PAULO

Game of the year, as said by Criciuma defender Marlon. Decisive game for hosts where the 3 points are vital for the relegation battle.

Sao Paolo coming in this game after getting eliminated by Ponte Preta 3 days ago in Copa Sudamericana semifinal.

Muricy Ramalho (Sao Paulo) already confirmed he will play B-squad in the last 2 games of the season.
    http://estadiovip.com.br/58069/muricy-ira-testar-jogadores

Motivation, fans, full team for hosts should be enough to take 3 points against the reserves of Sao Paolo. 10/10

    Criciuma to win 10/10

    ——————————————————-
    CRUZEIRO – BAHIA

Huge festivity awaits Cruzeiro fans and the whole team. Cruzeiro will receive the trophy for winning the championship and players will be handed medals. 60,000 fans are expected to join the party on Sunday and celebrate together the third title in history.

But before that we will have 90 minutes of tense football after the last days of controversy. Bahia publicly accused Cruzeiro for not playing fair against Vasco and giving them the 3 points. It all started from a video on Cruzeiro – Vasco, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIgIOnExDbI, where Julio Baptista (Cruzeiro) appears to say “score another goal (faz logo outro gol)” to Cris (Vasco). Of course this created tension between teams.

I think Bahia made a mistake here because such things will never be proven. It’s all speculations; Júlio Baptista, normally, declared it was out of context and he was just trying to provoke his opponent.

As I said before that game, Cruzeiro is helping Vasco, and now after all this controversy it only adds more motivation for Cruzeiro to beat Bahia. Bahia is the perfect replacement for Vasco in this plan, good thing for them is that they won against Portuguesa.
If Vasco wins and Bahia loses there will be 1 point between them, but Bahia has a difficult last game against Fluminense, coincidently enough, another team from Rio just like Vasco, fighting to stay in the league.
If Fluminense gets a point there and Vasco wins last game, Bahia will be relegated.

Beside the above “private” reasons they will want to win in front of their fans in this celebration game and also try to beat the 78 points record achieved by Sao Paolo in 2006.
Marcelo Oliveira is decided to go “força máxima” against Bahia and line up the best players.

Rested against Vasco in the last week, Fábio (gk/35/0), Dedé (d/30/2), Dagoberto (s/21/4) and Borges (s/23/10) are available for this game while Nilton (m/30/7) got injured and will miss.

    Possible lineup for Cruzeiro:
    Fábio (gk/35/0)
    Ceará (d/25/0), Dedé (d/30/2), Bruno Rodrigo (d/29/2), Egídio (d/34/0)
Lucas Silva (m/21/2), Henrique (m/9/0) or Leandro Guerreiro (m/9/0)
Everton Ribeiro (m/34/7), Ricardo Goulart (s/32/10), Dagoberto (s/23/10)
    Borges (s/23/10)

Lucas Fonseca (d/29/0/thigh) is confirmed to miss after an injury.
Feijão (m/23/1) is suspended after getting a red card in the last game against Portuguesa.
Rafael Donato (d/7/0), on loan from Cruzeiro, is not eligible to play.

    VASCO – NAUTICO

The mission is simple for Vasco, win this game to get a chance to stay in the league.
Nautico is the worst team and Vasco should have no problems getting the 3 points at Maracana on Sunday.
Nautico players threatened to go on strike over unpaid wages and not play the game.
Motivation and quality will prevail over a very troubled Nautico.

    Cruzeiro 1,70 + Vasco 1,29
Vasco to get one more week of hopes @ 2,21 8/10

    PONTE PRETE – PORTUGUESA

Another “game of the year” in Brazil, as called by Portuguesa defender Rogério.

Ponte Preta is already relegated but their season is not over. They are making history in Copa Sudamericana after eliminating Velez and Sao Paolo. They are now in the final and this trophy could be their biggest achievement.

Ponte Preta will meet Lanus from Argentina in a 2 legged-final. The first game is playing at home in just a few days, on 4th of december while the 2nd game is scheduled one week later.

With so much at stake, Ponte Preta has to lineup a B-squad on Sunday (1st of december), in the league game against Portuguesa.

On the other side, Portuguesa will fight for another year in Serie A. They are now 44 points, just 2 above the relegation line and this game could be their salvation.
With high motivation and full squad they should get the 3 points. In the last game they will meet at home Gremio.

    Portuguesa SP -0.25 @ 1.95 (Ladbrokes) 7/10

    BRAGANTINO – FIGUERENSE

Political interests in Santa Catarina starting to look good. The state of Santa Catarina would have 3 teams (Figuerense, Chapecoense, Criciuma) in the Serie A and all entitled to vote in the elections of CBF in March 2014. The current president of CBF is in good relantionship with Delfim Peixoto.
Delfim Peixoto (Santa Catarina Football Federation president) already visited Sao Paolo to talk with Bragantino’s president. >>
On friday, Bragantino president decided to remove 6 regular players (including their captain Alvaro/25/3, Magno Cruz (m/28/2), Cesinha, Lincom (s/31/12/top scorer) from the trainings and should not be allowed to play on Saturday. Clearly the conspiration to have another team from Santa Cantarina in the first league going great.
Also for Bragantino: Serginho (s/25/1) and Raphael Andrade (d/29/1) are suspended while Léo Jaime (s/14/4), Carlinhos (m/26/1) and Preto (m/22/0) are all doubtful.

Also Figueirense got the help from Chapecoense last weekend, when they beat Icasa.

Thiego (d/20/3) will miss for Figueirense.

Bragantino initially had a tickets limit (3000) for Figuerense fans but now they removed it. Since the local fans
are not that keen to buy tickets it will probably feel like Figuerense is playing at home, big advantage.

Figueirense to win, all in 10/10. Odds will drop to 1.20 or the game will be removed from all bookies.

    Figuerense 10/10

    Criuciuma 10/10

    Fluminense 9/10

    Portuguesa -0.25 7/10

    Cruzeiro + Vasco 8/10

Should have shorten it a bit up, sorry. Last game with explanation:

Austrian Bundesliga is in big scandal. Several players from different teams are investigated for match fixing.

Now for this game, Grodig already released two players who were taken in police custody Taboga (d/14/0) and Zündel (d/14/0), both regular defenders.
Captain Ione Cabrera (d/10/1/ankle), Karner (d/6/1/sick), Strobl (d/6/0/foot), Schubert (d/5/0/heart muscle inflammation) are all injured, so 6 in 7 defenders in the team are missing.

Austria Vienna will have to deal without injured Rogulj (d/10/0), A. Grunwald (m/8/2), Gorgon (m/4/1/knee surgery), Stankovic (s/9/6/calf) and suspended Holland (m/15/0).

Austria Vienna is playing for title, and after they realized there’s no place for them in Champions League they started winning, getting fully focused on the league.
Three wins in row and I think we will see the 4th one.

    Possible lineups:
    Grödig: C. Stankovic (5/0) – Potzmann (6/0), Tschernegg (15/0), Hayden (3/0), Salamon (16/3) – Nutz (9/1), M. Leitgeb (13/3) – Huspek (15/2), Tomi (12/2), Boller (11/0) – Zulechner (16/13)
    Austria: Lindner (16/0) – F. Koch (10/0), Ramsebner (2/0), Ortlechner (16/0), Suttner (16/1) – Dilaver (10/0), Mader (14/0) – Royer (14/3), Kienast (10/4), Murg (7/2) – Hosiner (14/8)

Another interesting fact is that the first game was played ht/ft 1/2 for Grodig, can you see the irony? That alone could mean return of points.
Add that to a decimated Grodig squad and we could witness an easy win for Austria Vienna.

    Austria Wien to win @ 2,15 (5/10)
    Austria Wien Over 1,5 teamgoal @ 1,80 (6/10)

And a few ‘quick’ picks, because I’m already spamming the whole page ..

    D. Nugent anytime @ 2,30 / 1st @ 5,50
    L. McGugan anytime @ 2,30
Parana – Icasa 2 (Parana playing for nothing and will field ‘B-team’, Icasa fighting for promotion, odds are dropping)
    Borussia Mönchengladbach (-1) @ 2,20

And a quick word about Heerenveen – Eagles. I also fancy goals here, as both teams do have leaky defences and are powerful in attack. Only thing that bothers me is the absence of Finnbogason (Heerenveen topscorer, (11/14).

  59. GREGGE 10 years ago

Some cash should be made with these teams and the various respective goals markets available..

    Litex Lovech (Bulgaria) 1/7

    Rangers 3/5

    Brentford 5/6

    Possible upsets of the Day:

Werder Bremen (4.75) – They Have a Good Head to Head records against their opponent of the day.

Port Vale (4.75) – Their opponent are really struggling to get to score goals, only 3 in last 5 and Port Vale is doing quite well even away from home.

Reims (5.75) – Reims have only once away from home this season in the league. Under 2.5 goals also in this game.

West Brom (4.00) – Despite Newcastle Utd good form, i fancy West Brom because of their individual talents and good cohesion. It will be a cracker. Over 3.5 goals

WORLD CUP FINAL Australia v New Zealand ko 2.30

Afternoon guys from a freezing Manchester. I have had to do this on my phone, so I apologize in advance for any spelling mistakes

Australia head into the world cup final as hot 1/3 favourites to lift the trophy at the theatre of dreams with New Zealand a 3/1 shot to retain their crown.

Billy Slater returns to the Kangaroo’s but whether he has a chance of playing or Coach Sheens is playing mind games is anyone’s guess. Kiwi coach Brett Kearney has winger Manu Vatuvei back after missing last week’s match with England.

Australia, apart from a 30min spell in the opener against England, haven’t really been tested and that could prove a problem if they don’t start fast and build up a lead. It was the same with the kiwi’s in the semi final, England pushed them and had the game won until the last 7 seconds when Johnson scored to break English hearts.

I think New Zealand can spring a massive surprise in the final just has they did in the last world cup. Australia are the best team in the world, but may pay the price of not having a real scrap in this tournament. New Zealand will have Manu Vatuvei back for the final and with the best player in Rugby League in Sonny Bill Williams, they can cause the Aussies all kind of problems down the left side of their attack. I’m having small stakes on the Kiwi’s outright and taking them with a very generous looking 10pts at evens at Coral.

In the anytime try scorer market for the Aussies you have too look at top try scorer in the tournament Jarrod Hayne 5/4 and for the Kiwi’s Simon Mannering 6/1 looks huge. Odds are at Ladbrokes.

Man of the Match stakes should be kept small, but I picked out one player from each team who will be crucial for their country to lifting the trophy. Jonathan Thurston the Aussie half back, his the man who pulls the strings he also kicks the goals, so if it is a close match that may help the cause. He is 9/2 Stan James. For the Kiwi’s ive already mentioned him, Sonny Bill Williams. The best player in the world will surely have a big say if New Zealand lift the trophy. SBW is bigger than Christmas and could be the x factor in this final. 10/1 various looks massive.

Good luck if your having a bet

Sorry for that Craig! It is quite impressive from a 50p start so good luck. Jambo’s have absolutely nothing to lose but plenty to gain and the place will be jumping, I really can’t wait for the game. Hearts v Celtic at Tynie is always a really pumped up atmosphere.

  107. el tel 10 years ago

Finished 1-1 I see, missed the second half unfortunately! Not particularly good for anyone that result!

I just realised I probably won’t be able to post any bets for the next couple of days although it’s possible I might be able to on Monday, but it will probably be in the late afternoon time.

    Deportivo v Lugo KO 5.15pm

Table toppers host 5th placed lugo and they come into this off the back of 4 straight wins! Lugo are in Decent form themselves but I fancy Deportivo to edge this!

    Back Deportivo 8/11

  129. Tim 10 years ago

Hi, new to this site and only just starting to learn how to bet in a more intelligent way.

I have a 6 man accumulator, 5 have won already and I’m waiting on the O3.5 goals in the Heerenveen game that someone tipped before. (Only £80 return, but you’ve got to start somewhere haha)

    Should I cover my bet?

    And if so, how?

    Thanks in advance

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

When it starts Tim back under 3.5 in running, decide what you want to deduct from possible winnings,

    • anton 10 years ago

Tim this game is guaranteed a few goals. You can cover your bet in running after a couple of goals are scored at good odds.

    • harpo 10 years ago

tim, u could also back excatly 3 match goals

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

And if there are only 2 then he loses both bets??

    • harpo 10 years ago

      true, usually decent price tho.

  130. Madi 10 years ago

Some if the Ramsey winnings going on remy to score anytime at 2.26, he has 8 goals in his last 8 games and I’m expecting goals in this game. As has been mentioned btts has come up in the last 8 meetings

  131. Blair R 10 years ago

    Greg Browning
(moderation preview)6 hrs, 50 mins ago
Morning gents, undertook a simalir exercise last night to last weekend and trawled through the leagues on a Friday night! Here are my top 8 homes! Some have already been mentioned!

    Aston Villa
    Leicester
    Brighton
    Rotherham
    Swindon
    Scunthorpe
    Peterhead
    Rangers

Villa have a terrific record at home to Sunderland who can’t buy a point away from home! Leicester are in great shape and with Nugent on top form should have beating of Lomas’s Millwalk side! Brighton ( read Mr F’s post) Rotherham and Swindon are two teams in good form and scoring for fun!

Why Scunthorpe are 10/11 at home to a poor Torquay side is beyond me! Scunny come into this of the back of two tremendous away wins and should have the beating of a Torquay side who are struggling and don’t travel well!

Peterhead host Montrose – the visitors are leaky in defence and Peterhead are always good for a goal, they should edge this!

Finally, Rangers away to Falkirk! Say what you like, there’s no way rangers should be as big as 4/6, they are too good for league one and to be honest, they’d still be too good for the scottish championship!

  139. Lee woody 10 years ago

Brighton done me today on my treble, just waiting to see if Aberdeen can’t bring my bet in tomorrow as a backed rangers, Dundee utd in a treble

  140. James 10 years ago

Eveything seems to have gone awful quiet atm….

  141. James 10 years ago

Mr fix it what you on for the real game?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

James, at work so I’ll be quiet. I just did Bale again – first and anytime.

    • James Hanly 10 years ago

      Nice one Paul

  142. Greg Browning 10 years ago

James thinking over 3.5 match goals or Madrid to score 4 or more?

    • James 10 years ago

First 12 minutes real certainly had alot of chances greg!

Fancy goals too but struggling to find anything with real value for the risk.

  143. William bailie 10 years ago

Evening all ! Just gotta free bet for A change from paddy power and as im already on bomber bellew later I’m fresh outta ideas! Anyone any ideas ?? Missed the start of real game too

  144. James 10 years ago

Greg realmardid -1 is slowly creeping up as time goes on. I think it will be convincing win just waiting for the price to get too a good enough level.

  145. Danny T 10 years ago

Hi guys does anyone know exactly what time the bellew fight starts I know coverage starts at 1am but is there loads ofbuild up fights ffirst?

  146. James 10 years ago

mardid absolutely battering them. Valladolid not had a shot atall in 30 mins.

Madrid had 70% possesion and 10 shots so far. Missed some sitters.

  147. Just Blaze 10 years ago

    Genoa vs Torino – 7:45pm

Genoa are unbeaten in 4 and on a decent run. They’ve won the last 3 at home as well and the only loses they’ve suffered at home this season have been to Fiorentina and Napoli so no shame in that.

Torino on the other hand haven’t won in 4 away from home. They did win last week at home against a Catania side who had lost every game away from home this season. But before that they hadn’t won in 8 games.

I like Genoa in this one. They seem to be on a good run and have a decent record against Torino.

Best Price for Genoa is 15/8 at BetVictor

  148. Cammy 10 years ago

Heerenveen are playing without Finnbogasson, probably why they haven’t scored yet.

  149. Greg Browning 10 years ago

James , half way there mate, took over 3.5 match goals!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

      What price Greg? I’m on over 4.5 @ 13/8.

  150. William bailie 10 years ago

James Greg thanks ! Free bet on real minus 2 !

  151. Joe 10 years ago

Bale was easy money again and the win just tops it up well done mr f

  152. Greg Browning 10 years ago

    Raaljaca, 4/5 mate!

    Over 2.5 goals tomorrow? :)

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Might be tight Greg but over 2.5 would look a good bet, no higher though.

  153. William bailie 10 years ago

Raal how’s tricks? Did you get that monster winner of the Hennessy today ?

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Didn’t back in the race William. Had 3 up today and top bet was second but had a 5/2 winner. Not a good day overall but not down to much. Having an each way on VERSE OF LOVE in the 8.20 at Wolverhampton, its 22/1 in places and seems a bit overpriced.

  154. el tel 10 years ago

Thank god for bale and 1.5 fh goals. Pulled some money back . Never like weekends, need learn just a few bets and stop on wknds

  155. raaljaca 10 years ago

Guy from Pontypridd who won £38970 for a 12 team £10 roll up last week had £30000 on Wales to beat Australia at 5/6, they lost!!

  156. Cammy 10 years ago

Oh, 2 quick goals for Heerenveen!

  157. Chris Guy 10 years ago

Did anyone have Bale first goal? Couldn’t believe he was enhanced to 5/1 with Betfred, especially with Ronaldo out. When I went to back him though he was cut to 9/2 which is still huge compared to everywhere else.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Chris, I only had him at 4-1s but no time to look for a price.

  158. Chris Guy 10 years ago

    £100 Bale First Goalscorer @ 9/2 WIN
    £250 Benzema Anytime @ 4/5 WIN

Sweet, £650 profit right there. What a way to end a night.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Good going Chris, I need another goal in Madrid for £488 back but just covered unders at 11/2

  159. raaljaca 10 years ago

Put up a 4 game acca earlier today for over 2.5 goals, got 3 up and waiting for REAL MADRID, I can actually cover under 2.5 now at 6/1!!!!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

raaljaca, get covering then. Bale has got me level again after a pretty rubbish day.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Covered at 11/2 Mr F, always better safe than sorry. Good call on Bale.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Mr F, are you on any bonus for Bale having 2 now?

  160. Zam 10 years ago

Raaljaca keep me updated with what happens at 8.20 Wolverhampton had a little punt on ur tip

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Will do Zam, put up Mosman 2 minutes before the off at 11/1 and came in at 8/1 so hopefully on a roll!!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

      Unplaced Zam, my apologies.

  161. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Fluminese v Athletico Mineiro KO 9.30pm

Going to miss the Brazilian league when it finishes, with only a few games left until the season ends, it’s another chance to make some money from a match that Mineiro are involved in! Tremendous at home, truly awful away!

They travel to face a Fluminese side who are battling to stay up in what is a must win game for them! To let you understand who poor Mineiro are away from home, 43 of their 55 points have been collected at home, and they have scored just 3 goals in their last 12 away matches! Normally the selection would be Minerio not to win and under 2.5 goals ( something that has happened in their last 10 away games) however given the importance of tonight’s match to the home team I’m hoping it may leave the back door open for Mineieo to get a rare away goal! Fully expect Fluminese to win this and the question is really can Mineiro score! I’m going to go for them to do that!

    Back BTTS 1/1

  162. William bailie 10 years ago

Might have a look at that mate thanks did the other Henderson horse in the Hennessy doh! Guess geraty knew best lol ps I was gutted for Wales ! They kick the ball too much!

  163. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Nice going Raal, hope you covered mate?

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

I did Greg, had £50 at 11/2 so winnings drop to £438 but bigger bet is in and it put me ahead for the day by a fair bit.

  164. Greg Browning 10 years ago

    3-0 Ralljaca, nice one! :)

    One more for me

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

      4-0, never a doubt Greg!!

  165. Madi 10 years ago

ramsey kept me in the green today, after the super single went down, and a failed bet on remy anytime scorer. i feel ive missed a trick with bale first goal last 2 games as ronaldo will be back next game?!

  166. Chris Guy 10 years ago

    Nice one Raaljaca.

Paul I’d take 4/1 all day long.

  167. Chris Guy 10 years ago

Paul who you backing for the Celtic game tomorrow? Commons is huge @ 15/2 and I’ve put a cover bet on Samaras @ 7/1 which is also huge.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Chris, I might do Van Dijk again – was closest Celt to scoring against Milan but haven’t looked at prices yet.

  168. Zam 10 years ago

No probs at that price can’t complain lol

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Zam, I am on LEGAL EAGLE and BLUE NOODLES in the 8.50 both are double figure prices so 1 placed covers the bet and I reckon a place is quite possible.

  169. Zam 10 years ago

    Wolverhampton?

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

      Yes the 8.50 mate

  170. Danny T 10 years ago

Mr f I didn’t get back from work til late and real where two nil up already but did what I thought you said and did50 bale next goal boom 225 quid thank you mMr f

  172. Danny T 10 years ago

Yesss I had bale next goal as well :-)

  173. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Good stuff Ralljaca, sounds like you’ve had a good day!

    Hail the boy Bale :)

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

At 19.49 I was ahead slightly on the day then backed an 11/1 winner of the 19.50 and Real got my overs acca up not long after making it a great day! Frightening combination of Bale and Ronaldo when they are both playing and fully fit.

  174. Zam 10 years ago

On it 20-1 and 10-1 did a small bet on reverse forcast too lol

  175. el tel 10 years ago

Thank u Real madrid and bale , right terry learn from this and cut out my silly bets on weekends and stick to the basics

  176. James 10 years ago

Well done to those on the real madrid game. Having started watching and mardrid scoring before the handicap became appealling I just left it.

Shame didn’t have anything on bale tonight!

  177. Greg Browning 10 years ago

It’s all about the late goals tonight

3-0 Lorinent 94 min goal to bring in an over 2.5 goals treble!

  178. Chris Guy 10 years ago

Bookies going to be hurting tonight. Someone had mentioned earlier Bale @ 7/1 to score 2 and also talking about hat trick. Can’t find the comment again so it might have been last night but hope they got on.

  179. el tel 10 years ago

Im with you Mr F not a great day , just needed l.orient to win and Fleetwood O2.5 for a nice tidy profit. Lately im always 1 goal away from great profit

  180. William bailie 10 years ago

Surely raaljaca is tipping a HUGE upset in Scotland tomorrow !! 2-0 ?

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

William, financially a draw would suit Hearts. W emight win tomorrow then get beat by a smaller club i.e. St Johnstone!!!

  181. Chris Guy 10 years ago

Yeah Raaljaca or do you thing one player will cancel out the other?

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Chris, Celtic are all round a much better team, no arguments there, but coming to a packed Tynecastle isn’t always easy for opposition players as the atmosphere at times can be poisonous, for want of a better word. Hearts have some fantastic young players the majority of whom are actually Jambo’s and a game like this can bring out the best of their ability. The crowd, the adrenaline, the fact that the club will probably continue to exist is making everything a wee bit more positive for us taking on Celtic. If Celtic under perform and we know that can happen then Hearts can be in with a shout. My gut feeling is we could take the lead but possibly draw or go down by a goal.

  182. Hughie 10 years ago

Real madrid. 2goals in game h/t £15 for £25 back win
Real Madrid 3+goals. Pp. £56 for £80. Win
Money back I lost today well done me for £40. Sick only 1/7 horrible

  183. el tel 10 years ago

Nice one Greg funny how often in football bets we win and lose on these late goals

  184. Zam 10 years ago

    Raaljace anything???

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Can only say what I will back Zam, 9.20 MEDAM 9/1 AND PURLEY QUEEN 6/1. Doing both win only mate.

  185. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Espanyol v Real Sociadad KO 9pm

Espanyol come into this off the back of a 4-1 win in their last match and will be looking to out their recent poor form behind then! Sociadad were hammered 4-0 by Shakter in midweek and have conceed at least 2 goals in their last 3 visits to Espanyol!

Back over 1.5 Espanyol team goals!

  186. monthehoops 10 years ago

Plz plz let us get the new rangers. .the rangers..forever rangers whatever the new team called themselves. ..as usual they getting cocky …think they a premier league team. ..plz be knd to us after draw tomorrow. .cause we will win ..(raj and co)..let me say again we will win..plzzzz bring them on

  187. Greg Browning 10 years ago

El Tel, cheers mate, I dread to think how many coupons I have had this year that have been one goal short, your talking of 1000’s of £ worth , haha!

  188. el tel 10 years ago

Just had a bonus , checked my account and had a 3 fold of Shalke , R madrid and Heerenveen O2.5 forgot about it only odds of 2.6 with 20 on it . My day getting better

  189. el tel 10 years ago

Im the same Greg , I used to get really annoyed by losing in last minute but noticed it really evenings itself out . Ive had some great wins since start of season thanks to late goals.

  190. Greg Browning 10 years ago

A smaller club yes but a better team most defintely! :)

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

      Ha ha!!!

  191. William bailie 10 years ago

Chin up raal I’m predicting a huge upset in England tomorrow. My team Liverpool to win at a smaller club ie hull haha I know it’s a longshot !

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Look through the team news tomorrow William and let us know over or under 2.5 goals, please mate.

  192. Just Blaze 10 years ago

monthehoops, why don’t you just worry about getting past Hearts first before concerning yourself with the next round.

  193. Mark 1976 10 years ago

Porto only lost 1 game all season, 21/10 to for win but 1-0 down anybody think there are worth backing to win?

  194. Trebor 10 years ago

Good shout Just Blaze, just woke up there and thought it was sunday night.

  195. Neil h 10 years ago

Yeah 11/1 at bet365. Don’t get me wrong I expect Celtic to win but surely there is some value at 11/1. That to me is huge odds for a cup game involving 2 teams from same division. Stuck a fiver on hearts, don’t support either but will add bit of interest for watching the game !!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Neil, it could well be tight as it is a cup game, bet365 are going 20/21 on Hearts with a 2 goal start. A draw or a 1 goal win for Celtic would see you collect on Hearts. I will back them anyway to win but will also do that handicap bet.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Neil h, if you think Celtic will win you’d be better giving the fiver to a Big Issue seller.

  196. el tel 10 years ago

Mark I reckon worth a small stake for the draw

  197. Tempest 10 years ago

Mineiro 1-0 do you reckon it’s a good idea to back Fluminense now Greg?

  198. Greg Browning 10 years ago

    0-1 Mineiro 25 mins :)

Hard part done, just need Fluminese to play their part!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Had it at 9/10, thanks Greg.

  199. Mark 1976 10 years ago

Tried it tel, can’t win em all but you got to be in it….

  200. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Tempest, Flunminese are knocking on the door! 8-0 on corners and 10-4 on shots! I just need Fluminese to score , two is a bigger ask though!

      Evening folks,

Sorry, missed the entire day of posting due to social engagements. Had a truly awful day of betting so will keep it brief. Just catching up on the posts, and the only thing productive I can add is that interestingly enough, the Mexican Apertura has the highest percentage of draws of any league in the world this season, over 40% I believe.

Random I know, but I get so much obscure knowledge from you folks, just thought I’d chip in where I can

      Andrew
