THE F1 season ends with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix today and Lewis Hamilton has lost out on pole to team-mate Nico Rosberg for the sixth race in a row.
Rosberg is 10-11 favourite at Stan James for his second successive win while Hamilton – already crowned champ – is 13-10 at Unibet.
Next in the betting is Kimi Raikkonen at a whopping 20-1 with Paddy Power and the Finn is 5-6 at Skybet for a podium finish.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will host the San Diego Chargers tomorrow afternoon in Jacksonville, Florida. The Chargers have lost their last six on the bounce and will be facing a tough test. The trip from San Diego to Florida is a 2000+ miles and will be kicking off in a time zone three hours earlier, so realistically it will be a 10:00AM kickoff for them.
The Chargers are averaging 125 rushing yards per game to opposing backs with a league worst 4.9 yards per carry. Last week Kansas City Chiefs 6th round pick Spencer Ware chewed up the Charger D with 96 yards from just 11 carries, bursting open for a 52 yard run. They have leaked at least 69 yards per game to opposing lead backs in their last six games. I did have the Jaguars in my main bet this week but unfortunately my own team bombed that before it even got going, so I expect them to get their fourth win in five games at home tomorrow.
Rookie TJ Yeldon has had a bit of an inconsistent season, but if there was one game he was looking forward to it will probably be this one. He has only had two 100 yard games this season but could quite possibly get his third here. The Jaguars run game isn’t anything to shout about, nor is their offensive line, but Yeldon is a back who can play all three downs as shows flashes of having a good future in the league. His best game was against the Bills at Wembley in which he carried for 115 yards, not bad considering the Bills are a top 10 rush defense.
He is averaging 65 rushing yards per game and has a favourable match up so I think this total can be achieved.

Staying with the Jaguars game tomorrow I’m taking another prop. Last week Tight End Antonio Gates had a heated exchange with Phillip Rivers on the sidelines after only being targeted three times for a pathetic 6 yards. He did have a questionable status that week though and his injury might have been the reason he was limited. He has a better match up this week against a Jaguars D that has given up 256 yards to tight Ends in the last two weeks. I posted Delanie Walkers total on Thursday night last week and he ended up doubling it. With his displeasure at Rivers last week and the limited weapons on the San Diego offense I expect him to get this total with ease. Rivers should be throwing a lot and Gates had covered this line in every game since his return until last weeks dip in performance.

Had a bit of a mare last night.. the double I’ve put down as Won, because as I posted it, it did win.. unfortunately when placing the bet I was distracted and accidently placed ‘Lakers OVER 98.5’.
Cashed out at half time but stupidly wacked it on a losing bet instead of keeping the small profit. Hindsight is a great thing.
It’s taught me a couple of lessons.

That mistake has happened to me so many times and bookies “descriptions” or “options” aren’t really helping either most of the time. I’ve gotten a lot more disciplined before placing bets now (especially cause there’s no way to void or cancel a bet here).

Just about calmed myself down after Fridays shocker. I placed 5 points on what I thought were 3 solid bets. Unfortunately the Euroleague was back to its unpredictable best as CSKA scraped a win against a Sassari team who have been nothing short of awful this season.
Apologies to anyone who followed, I really can’t account for that kind of result and it’s made me very wary about betting anything over small stakes on the Euroleague.

Rudy Gay fell one point shy of his total last night.
