RANGERS are aiming to make a final today and McBookie are offering 9-1 they don't win a trophy this season.
With Hibs breathing down their neck in the Championship they play St Mirren for a place in the Challenge Cup Final.
McBookie spokesman Paul Petrie said: “If Rangers lose then realistically they only have the title to play for and now they have a fight on their hands to win that. Obviously it is still a big price they end up empty-handed but this will be a big test.”
What Will Rangers Win?
2-5 League and Challenge Cup, 9-2 Nothing, 16-1 League and Scottish Cup, 20-1 Scottish and Challenge Cup, 25-1 League, Scottish and Challenge Cup.
While Rangers are 9-1 to suffer a drought Ladbrokes offer what they say is for this time of the season the shortest ever price on Celtic to win the Treble – 12-5.
Meanwhile, the William Hill Scottish Cup dominates the card today and one game caught my eye simply because it looks as if bookies have under-estimated Falkirk's strike power.
The Bairns are up against mid-table Highland League outfit Fraserburgh and on current form you have to believe they'll score at least three goals. The Broch have won nine of their 18 games and conceded 21 goals.
In their last five matches Peter Houston's Falkirk have netted 17 times and in their previous three at home it's been 5-0 v Alloa, 3-0 v St Mirren and 5-0 v Dumbarton.
Are Fraserburgh any better than those side? The answer is no but it's a cup tie so that has to be factored in. Also the Broch are the only side not to lose to Cove Rangers in the Highland League this season, drawing 3-3 a couple of weeks ago.
To win the Bairns are no bigger than 1-5 with the likes of Ladbrokes so goals bets are the way to go. Falkirk -1 can go on accumulators at 4-7 with bet365, Falkirk -2 is the Super Single at 8-5 and Falkirk -3 also tempts at 4-1 with McBookie.
Over 2.5 Falkirk goals pays 1-1 at Betfred – and that's been cut – while over 3.5 is 11-4 with the same firm.
The only Championship tie sees Dumbarton entertain Alloa and it should be a home win at 37-40 with McBookie. Dumbarton will be lifted by last week's comeback from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 with Raith and face a side who have lost six in a row.
Top tie could be Ayr v Dunfermline and it's a surprise to see the Pars favourites at a best 27-20 with Ladbrokes. Ayr won 2-0 at East End Park in September and are unbeaten in League One since the opening day.
To win Ayr are 9-5 at McBookie but I'd keep draw on side and go Ayr draw no bet at 23-20 with the Scots firm.
Raith should win at Elgin but their defence could be fragile after last week's capitulation so take both to score at 7-10 with Ladbrokes. Elgin have 11 in their last four in League Two.
Morton have been in good nick and can win at Albion Rovers where there is a morning pitch inspection if they can handle the conditions. They are 8-11 at William Hill.
At shorter prices I like Stranraer at home to Buckie and Stenhousemuir against East Kilbride while Annan should win at Inverurie.
Rangers have stuttered in recent weeks with a a draw and defeat in three games that's allowed Hibs to catch them at the top of the Championship.
Mark Warburton will probably welcome a cup distraction and they should bounce back to reach the Final. At Ibrox they still boast a 100 per cent record and have beaten the Buddies twice in the league.
Saints' draw at Raith in midweek means it's five without a win so it's a home for me. Unfortunately Rangers are no bigger than 1-6 at Ladbrokes so consider over 2.5 match goals at 4-7.
In the Premiership there are four games today with Inverness v Celtic tomorrow. Dundee United have been improving and by all accounts were unlucky to lose to St Johnstone last weekend.
A home match with Hamilton gives them a chance to pick up the points and I'm on them at 15-8 with McBookie with new signings Guy Medel and Florent Sinama Pongolle set to feature.
Accies haven't won since beating United 4-0 back in August when Jackie McNamara was still at the helm.
Aberdeen should win at home to Ross County but I can't trust them with hard cash so let's focus on Hearts at Motherwell.
Well haven't got going under Mark McGhee with a win at Killie their only one in five so take the Jambos at 6-5 with William Hill.
There was an interesting piece in the Daily Record about how Inverness have hurt Celtic after European ties including two 1-1 wins.
With the Hoops injury problems I can't back them at a short price. Inverness are unbeaten in their last three at home to the champs so consider them not to lose at 11-4 with William Hill.
Bets to consider
