IT was another profitable day on Monday – thanks to one man.
The Super Single is my lumpiest bet and Rangers striker Jon Daly landed inside it three minutes with the opening goal at Arbroath. He was nicely priced at 11-4.
That's three good Super Single winners in four days and hopefully I can keep the run going on a busy Tuesday night.
My Super Single in the Daily Record is Celtic draw no bet at 23-20 at home to AC Milan. It's not one I do often on the site because I know you guys would prefer a return than maybe just a refund on the stake.
So while I reckon Neil Lennon's men will avoid defeat against the Serie A strugglers I'm not convinced about their chances of winning.
So for the Super Single on the site I'm going with a straight victory for Schalke at Steaua Bucharest. The Germans are an industry best 11-10 at Ladbrokes.
Eight goals scored in their last three Bundesliga outings suggests that in the likes of Kevin Prince-Boateng and Adam Szalai, the Gelsenkirchen side possess more than enough final third quality to punish their hosts tonight – and with leaders Chelsea facing a tough trip to Basel, three points for Schalke could leave this group wide open.
Steaua sit bottom of Group E with just two points – home and away draws against Basel – and lost 3-0 at Schalke and 4-0at home to Chelsea.
Schalke are always likely to conceded but have netted eight times in their last three Bundesliga matches so should outscore a side who have lacked a cutting edge at this level.
I considered Napoli at Dortmund at a big price of 4-1 and a side who haven't been mentioned, Tranmere at Wolves. Tranmere stunned Coventry 5-1 away at the weekend and are unbeaten in six now.
Wolves are struggling to score with just three in four games and were held 0-0 at home by Brentford at the weekend. They have a couple of injury problems and I can't help thinking Tranmere are worth a risk, if not at 13-2 with the likes of McBookie.com to win the game but at 7-4 on the double chance.
Lennon will be looking for a favour from Barcelona who travel to Ajax. The Spanish champions, without Lionel Messi and Alexis Sanchez, are no bigger than 4-7 with McBookie. It's not a tempting price for an away the top treble but Barca should win.
My Top Treble in the Record is Arsenal, Chelsea and Luton but that's now nearer 2-1 so for the site I'm putting in Chesterfield instead of the Gunners which boosts the line by a point.
Arsenal have been cut to 1-4 with the likes of Ladbrokes to beat Marseille at home and should see off an outfit going well in Ligue 1 but without a Champions League point. And what about French striker Olivier Giroud at 4-1 with Paddy Power to net first.
Chelsea are more tempting at 4-5with Ladbrokes to win at Basel. Jose Mourinho's side have hit form and should avenge the loss they suffered to the Swiss at home.
Chesterfield have won their last four home matches to nil and should return to the top of League Two tonight by beating visitors Northampton who have won just once in six outings. Ladbrokes go 4-7 on Chesterfield.
Luton are unbeaten at home in the Conference Premier with six wins and three draws and face a Southport side who have lost their last four in all competitions and conceded 18 goals in the process.
Saturday's 5-1 defeat at Aldershot was a shocker and Luton will be looking to win this with something so spare after 6-1, 5-1 and 3-1 wins in corresponding fixture in the last three seasons. Ladbrokes go 2-5 the Hatters.

I’m also going to be going on Luton to score over 2.5 goals which would have come up 4 in the last 5 home games as well as Southport being battered 5-1 by Aldershot on saturday. Back this at 13/8.

Speaking of Aldershot, I’m thinking they are going to continue their hot streak after hitting 5 past Southport on saturday. They’ve been mixed with goals at home but have scored 2 or more in more games than they haven’t including all of their last 3. Braintree conceded 3 last away match and have been generally poor on the road. I’m going with Aldershot to score 2 or more goals which pays a pretty reasonable 11/10 here.
STEAUA BUCHAREST V SCHALKE 7:45pm
Schalke did me good on Saturday by scoring 3 on the road. They’re a much better side than their opponents and I expect them to hit at least 2 goals past them and maintain a challenge for qualification for the knockout stages. Steaua have conceded plenty at home over the years in Europe and I cannot believe that Schalke won’t score over 1.5 team goals here and that pays EVENS.

Lots of good tips last night. Roma murdered 90% my slips though. All the games I was concerned about came through, all the games I was sure about didn’t. Football.
Luckily, as always my tennis side slips won and overall I recovered %50 of my stakes.
Good thing is… it’s Champions League time… no bad pitches, no bad referees, and most importantly no match fixing.

Brentford to beat Peterborough at odds of 21/20 bet365 1/1 skybet is a steal for me. Brentford have a decent sized squad, are a physical side and are a very strong team in League 1. Being 3rd against 4th I believe they will swap places after tonight’s game. Peterborough on the other hand have started the season very very well, better than expected. However they have had a terrible performance in the league this month losing 3 out of 3 which is noticeable by the injuries they have picked up and the difference in their game play recently has been found out,
Brentford to win. 21/20 bet365 best odds I believe
Even if the aforementioned players are being rested, Atletico have the squad depth and winning spirit that Zenit struggle to compete against. Expected in midfield are Gabi, Koke, Adrian and Suarez (who all played in the winning home fixture against Zenit). Upfront would be Garcia (who also played that match). Left back looks certain to be handed to Insua. This season’s transfer Alderweireld (who played in the Austria Vienna away match which they also eased through). A win in the CL is good income as well, so I really don’t expect Atleti to hand this to Zenit. To me, at those odds… it’s worth a punt.

lEAGUE 1 double HOME WINS for me tomorrow and I see both have been highlighted , Bradford v Notts County & Brentford v Peterboro. Both the home sides here go into these games in decent form and playing sides clearly out of sorts.
I have been very impressed with the manner in which both have been playing recently as opposed to their opposition.

In their last 6 games The Bee’s have scored 12 goals as opposed to the Posh who have only managed 2. They didnt score away against Wolves but they actually created as many chances and were worthy of their draw against arguably best team in the league. The way Posh are playing lately has been nothing short of shocking. Posh usually create alot of chances but as of late this just has not been happening and against a team who have have not conceded in their last 4 im happy to back the home at around Evens.
Bradford v Notts County
The Home here I believe are a decent price to beat an away side who have lost their last 7 away games. One might argue that Bradfords home form is not great but in recent performances they have shown they can mix it with the better teams drawing 3-3 with Coventry and not least their latest outing against MK Dons in which they won 3-2. County haven’t scored in their last 3 away games and with the home side declaring a clean bill of health and at a shade better than Evens, I believe there is great Value in the Home win.

Chelsea’s last 10 Champions league matches have gone over 2.5 goals, therefore over 2.5 match goals at 10/11 looks a good bet.

I had put my bets on earlier on than usual for Tuesdays games, but its always nice to see others picking out the same teams.
Salisbury play a rearranged game in the conference to Forest Green. Forest Green are a good home side but a bad away side, and after losing 6 in a row on the road have an away record of P10 W1 D2 L7. Salisbury are also strongest when at home and haven’t lost on home soil since the start of the season, giving a home record of P10 W8 D1 L1. Salisbury are a good price of 6/4 for the win.
Others have mentioned Luton and with their excellent home record, coming up against a another poor away side in SouthPort, Luton (-1) is 13/10 with Ladbrokes.
The only Champion’s League game I like the look of is Schalke as they are one of few teams who should be going out to win and seal qualification. Steaua can be a tricky side but Schalke are the better side and 11/10 is another good price.

redboy100, the single has done well over the last 3 weeks so I’m surprised by your small profit. The last three winners have been 13-10, 6-4 and 11-4 and before that it was in profit for the spell you mention. I’ll look at my November figures at the end of the month.

Luke, anything apart from the single and treble everything else are random stakes for me. Just depends on how much is in my “pot”. I only have a staking plan for the single and treble and the stake never changes. Amounts to you don’t matter but if I put 1pt on the single it’s 5pts on the treble.
Just a quick note on Bradford, as a few have mentioned them, Wells and a few others look to be out through injury so they could struggle tonight. Probably won’t, but worth noting.

I’ve been following this site for a few weeks now and I have to thank you, mr. F, and all the others (Greg, Alex, SJ) for the great tips.
For tonight I’ll go against odds, as I see value on homeside. Barca ofcourse the better side, but they are already qualified. Messi and Sanchez out, big blow for them.
Ajax without Sigthorsson and de Jong, both regulars (de Jong keyplayer, but out of form, so regular atm).
I don’t say Ajax will win, but I think a draw should be possible. Ajax at home in the Championsleague is a tough nut to crack. De Boer said that if they don’t qualify for next round, the club will be disappointed. Situation is a tough one, but not impossible. I expect a young and fresh squad, playing with flair and supported by homecrowd, this could be a surprise.
I pick out 1 bet, Ajax to win at least one half: 3,00 @ Unibet.

Alex, thanks for some great tips over the weekend and get well soon. Just a note of caution for anyone else considering Aldershot tonight. Saturday was only our second win in nine and we have injury problems. Could only muster four for the bench v Southport. Our usual left back Barker, filling in at centre back, went off with concussion and will be out tonight. We will only have one recognised defender available, with wingers filling the full back roles and a midfielder making up the back four. We had a striker on loan for Saturday but he broke his leg. A 20 year old Irish lad has been loaned in from Milwall for tonight to replace him but he has yet to score at this level or in the league. Braintree have a top three away record and Southport were woeful on Saturday. If we can stick to 442 and raise our game again like we did on Saturday it’s just possible we could win but I would advise small stakes.

Mr F, your SS resonates with the mood in Italy regarding Milan.
This is the weakest Milan team in eons, big structural changes are afoot with Galliani being shown the door and Barbara Berlusconi taking over. Allegri was never highly regarded and has been on the brink forever, plus Balotelli is completely out of form. If there was ever a time to bet against Milan, it’s now.
With Celtic being Celtic and Milan not wanting to lose I don’t expect many goals either.

A word of caution regarding the uber-tight group with Arsenal, Dortmund, Marseille and Napoli.
Benitez is a wily old fox and has outthought every manager under the sun in his career. He will keep it very tight and hit Dortmund on the break – as he always does in Europe. He’s also without influential Marek Hamsik in midfield and they’re coming on the back of two defeats, not finding the net in either.
Dortmund have lost their entire 1st team back four and have to throw in youth players and reserves.
Dortmund’s home win is anything but a banker, and the odds are very short to boot.
They both can’t afford to lose, and it looks a very cagey affair, i.e. a nailed-on draw for me.

Azzurri, I pretty much agree with what you say. All of Celtic’s Champions League games have been low scorers this season and while Milan sre struggling they still have the likes of Balotelli, Kaka and Robinho who could hurt Celtic if they’re in the mood. Dortmund’s defence looks like it will be the same as the one who lost heavily to Bayern so Udinese might be worth a punt.
Another good looking as is Porto at home always strong .

redboy100 – not sure were you are getting your figures from? I have been following Mr F’s tips for about 4 weeks now, if you had placed £10 level stakes from Monday 4th Nov you would be up £60.30 (which includes last nights win on Daly).
If you had used the Martingale system which has been previously suggested (& which I am trialing to small stakes) you would be up £211.30 to £10 stakes.

Grand Parader, no it’s a risky system where if you lose you double your stake until you win. Works OK on the Super Single because I rarely lose 3 or 4 in a row.

Conservatively, that could have returned in excess of £1200 with a starting stake of £10 if you had followed with balls and discipline. I realise the strike rate of 7 wins isn’t that likely to often, but even 3 wins on the trot you could start to see some profit. For example, a £10 stake on last nights Jon Daly would have retuned roughly £38, that going onto a winning SS tonight at just above evens might return £80. Withdraw the profit and start again. Your strike rate seems strong enough to achieve this in my opinion, maybe others might disagree? Interested to hear others comments. Thanks, and keep up the good work.
Grand Parader, the strike rate is good but I’d never advice doing it as a rolling accumulator. It’s a single and should be treated that way. But it’s there for punters to do with what they want and it makes it a bit more exciting the way you suggest or on the martingdale which so far hasn’t gone wrong for the single.

A lot of the teams i like have already been mentioned,Arsenal,Bradford,Chesterfield,Schalke,chelsea and Leyton Orient so ill look at the possibility of a little more value in a couple of those games.

Home team are best priced 1/4 and falling so with Marseille now having nothing to play for and 0 points and Arsenal still involved in a 3 way battle for qualification you can see nothing but a home win.
Marseille have been conceding on the road in this comp conceding 3 goals against Dortmund and Napoli and have even conceded 2 goals in each of thier home games.
Given this comp is now over for Marseille and the possibility of some players maybe being rested given that they have a now much more important French lg game against Montpellier in just 3 days THIS FRIDAY i fancy Arsenal to cover both the -1 handicap @ around 8/13 and to score 3 or more goals at around evens.

Dortmund-Napoli draw at HT or FT (unlike previous pair, there will be fire here as both teams have bad streaks and need points to advance; could’ve played btts here, but didn’t like the price much)
Steaua-Schalke btts (win will secure Schalke in next round, but again, even draw works for them, considering last round pairing; therefore, instead of going for away win, I chose btts as Schalke has some issues in defense and conceding is likely)

super yankee is 26 bets but if you skip the doubles and only do trebles and upwards, then its only 16 bets. If you skip the trebles too, it’s only 6 bets. It all depends on what prices you are going for really as to whether covering the doubles and trebles will be worth all the extra bets.

I find the best for different football markets for my betting is bet365 but im looking for other alternatives. Specifically I like the over 1.5 goals market and race to 2 goals etc which most of the above do not have an exhaustive list of (bet365 aside)

Don’t mean to be preachy mate, but just a friendly bit of advice. You’ve always seemed reasonable so sure you’ve considered it. Keep the accie’s as short as possible, adding in that extra game is often what loses me the bet.
Secondly, consider perming the games either as a Treble, Four-fold etc, basically 1 less than the total selections. Nothing worse than a long one being ruined by one match and if all come in, happy days but its best to be careful.
We’ve all had shocking days mate, just don’t let it make you rash when you want to recover losses, good luck anyway and fingers crossed for you

Mind you, the team may have been delighted to see the back of Whittingham – the fans certainly seem to be. But they’ll still be wondering who’s coming in…
Meanwhile, Southend have won six of their last eight. They’re another side who’d feel they don’t belong in this league, but they’re playing in a way that suggests they’re walking the walk. They’ve won six of their last eight – three wins either side of a defeat to 2nd best home side, Newport. and a loss at home to Essex rivals, The Daggers. The wins came at home against 4th, 9th and 21st away, and they won away at 12th, 14th and 17th best home sides. Currently, Pompey are 13th best at home and 18th overall.

Patrick, I took 4 games to go over 2.5 and staked £50 for a return of £428.80. Bristol City @10/11 Salisbury @ 13/20 Coventry @ 13/20 and Luton @ 13/20 all with Hills. I went for Division 1 and Skrill Premiership where goals are scored regularly. At half time it looked bad but by 70 minutes I just needed 1 more from Luton match.
This isn’t a post of ‘I won ha ha ha’ as I do not like seeing anyone lose to the bookies. My winning bet and Mr F’s winning treble concentrated on the same 2 leagues and Mr F’s 4 fold only went down by one team out of 8 selections not scoring. The Champions league is a minefield as you cannot go by form, it’s in different countries and the English division 2 is poor for goal scoring.
