ENGLAND look to improve their shoddy recent one-day international record as they embark on a seven-match tussle with hosts Sri Lanka on Wednesday.
Alastair Cook and Co have lost four of their last five series since reaching the Champions Trophy final last year and are missing pace bowlers James Anderson and Stuart Broad as they bid for revenge over the Sri Lankans who enjoyed ODI and Test series victories in England earlier this year.
The first Test gets under way in Colombo this morning with England rated 6-4 for victory and the hosts 8-13. England are 2-1 to win the series, with Sri Lanka 4-9 and the draw 9-1. Captain Cook is favourite to finish top batsmen for the tourists at 7-2.

Cavaliers lost the previous game @Wizards 78-91, and I think that LeBron will take the matters into his hands and will win this game in Cleveland. Wizards will look to bounce back from yesterday’s lost to Atlanta, and they are very strong defensively (6th in NBA). I think Cavs will win this one, but it will be a close game, so I’ll take a safer bet: Wizards +11.5
76ers are horrible this season (0-14), and even if the Nets are struggling, I think that the experience of the Nets squad (Garnett – J. Johnson – Williams) will win this game, +no injuries for the Nets squad, so I’ll take the Nets at -3.5
Trail Blazers are playing good, they are very strong in defense, they won the previous game vs Hornets in a tight contest, 102-100, and they have one of the best netrating (offensive rating – defensive rating), while Hornets are in poor shape and can’t score. Away games are not easy to win, but I think Blazers will win this one easily. I’ll take the safe bet, Blazers -1.5
Hawks – Raptors will be a tight one, due to the fact that both teams are playing good and the game takes place in Atlanta. I do believe the Raptors will win this game, but not easily, so the safe bet is Atlanta +8.5.

Lions boast one of the best defenses in the league and being the best team at stopping the run, Matt Forte will have a tough task. Lions have lost their last two but against the Cardinals and Patriots who have 2 of the best winning records in the NFL. Before that the Lions were on a 4 game streak beating the Vikings, Saints, Falcons and Dolphins. Detroit aren’t high scorers but the Bears let Green Bay and the Pats slip over 50 points each on their last 2 road games. Stafford by no means the same level of Rodgers or Brady but he has Megatron and Golden Tate who will tear the Bears secondary apart.
Big game in the NFC East with the Eagles and Cowboys. This is a close game and pure gut feeling but I just think Cowboys are the better team overall, especially on D. I think they win outright but I’ll take the +3 for safety in the treble.
Seahawks vs Niners, again a close game. Two teams with equal records in the NFC West. The two teams hate each other. Niners aren’t looking great offensively, having only scored 20 points once in their last five games. Up against the Legion of Boom will be even more difficult with all teams on a short week. I think the Seahawks are being underestimated and are the dogs just because they’re @ the Levi’s. The Rams were 10.5 dogs when they won in the Levi’s at the start of the month with Tre Mason being the top rusher.

That is the question honda, but it’s the same with any other bet placed. He could play 2 quarters and get it in two plays? Answer, and nobody else plays. If you look, Frank Gore’s yards are below 60 yards with most bookies. Play time will be a factor but rush defense has to come into it too which is taken over the whole season, and the Niners haven’t been all they’re cut out to be. Just my piece on it mate :)

Yeah they had two tough opponents in the Cards and Pats but were going well before that. Saints, Falcons and Miami are better than Chicago in my opinion and Detroit managed to beat them.
