PAUL PETRIE of McBookie landed a superb treble last week to extend his lead over William Hill's Owen Scott.

Paul backed Auchinleck and St Andrews as well as a draw between Maud v Hermes and that paid £87.60 to a £10 stake.

So Paul has won £153.20 this season to £10 stakes while Owen is still looking for his first success. Could this be the week? Here's what the duo are on this weekend.

Owen writes: Another week and another two out of three. To make matters the worse the match that ended a draw to put my treble down helped Paul get his second treble of the season.

This week I need a winner to stop Paul moving further in front of me. It's league business in all regions and I'm starting my treble in the West and taking a side I expect to push on and win the league comfortably.

Pollok are 4-5 away at Rob Roy who will be one of their challengers for the title but the Lok are on form just now and I expect them to get all three points.

Bo'ness are 11-10 at Newtongrange and that's my next pick. Both sides again will have title ambitions but I believe confidence will be sky high at Bo'ness after dumping League Two Elgin out of the William Hill Scottish Cup last week and that will spur them on for three points here.

Another top-of-the-table clash is in the North Region and I'm going against the side who put my treble down last week. Banks o' Dee are 1-1 for the visit Hermes in the league and both sides are unbeaten but I feel this is the toughest game Hermes will have and I fancy Banks to push on. A wee saver on three draws could also be the call.

Paul writes: First up I am going for Grantown to beat Buckie Rovers at 8-13. The new junior team started the season as favourites for the title before slipping back in the betting. However, they are back at the front of the market and should be winning these games if they are to win the league.

St Andrews did me a favour last week and I am taking them to beat Oakley at 4-6. Most of their best form has actually been at home but the trip to Oakley isn’t too far so they can take advantage and pick up three points.

Finally, I am going for a draw in the Newtongrange v Bo’ness game. Both have aspirations for the title and Bo’ness will be on a high after last week’s Scottish Cup. However, I think Newtongrange will be looking to keep this tight and can get a point.

Got the safer treble up again last week my first attempt at the longer odds treble fell flat though.

Today’s safer treble is Beith, Hurlford and Irvine paying 2/1 again.

The longer odds treble pays 6/1 and I’ve went for Bellahill, Petershill and Pollok

Hendrie89, Beith won but shouldn’t have! I know Hurlford were held at home which was a bit of a shock.

No shock in Hurlford not winning.

ozcjfc, that result was as big a surprise as San Marino’s point against Estonia.
