Malcolm Waller scored 50 off 20 balls 2 days ago in the 1st T20i vs Bangladsesh and ended up with 60-odd runs. The next highest top score in the Zimbabwe line-up was about 20 runs. He was so impressive hitting 6’s and 4’s off every delivery and was the only Zimbabwe batsman that had the confidence to go after the bowlers. The traditional Zimbabwe names are all too short to take, but at $10 i have to put a few bob on Waller to do it again.
Felipe Massa has a point to prove after a less than desirable season, and after qualifying 8th I can see him making the top 6. His Williams is one of the quickest cars in Brazil, and i think both him and Bottas will finish in the top 6 but better odds on Massa so ill take him.
Dinamo Raubichi are bottom of table & cant win a match. They have been getting beaten by 5+ goals in more than half of their games (also by teams in bottom of table). St Petersburg are near the top of the table and at home I can see them scoring at will. Should cover the 4.5 goal handicap easily. Loko Yaroslavl should also easily beat Atlanty but i’m not sure they can cover the -2.5 so just doubling the straight win with St Petersburg to cover.

I would’ve liked to have taken the total overs 180 line at 5/6 but MVG has the ability to race ahead in games so its not always possible. Can see him easily reaching 10 180’s, especially as Smith will not just fold over accept defeat. He will get his own share of 140’s and 180’s and it should be a cracking fast paced match to watch.
I did say I would’nt be backing him in any capacity but against Thornton we saw the old Taylor. He posted a 104 average, hit numerous 180’s and took out a 167 finish. Barney hit four 180’s but thirty 140’s against Webster. It looked like Taylor had been putting in the practice on the board as he was finding the treble beds more frequently There has been previous between the two so there is a lot of pride at stake and I’d expect Taylor to be on top of his game and to smash the 180 line.

The Slam is the only TV major that Van Gerwen is yet to claim. The prizemoney also contributes to the PDC order of merit so Taylor will know the importance of it if he wants to retain number three spot from Peter wright who is threatening to knock him into fourth place. These are my bets tonight:

Taylor hitting 180’s depends on how well his first dart is thrown. As could be seen earlier, as the first dart went in low he was simply using it as a guide for the other two and he finished on 11 180’s.
This is the only major to evade Van Gerwin so its fair to say he’s going to do everything in his power to win it tonight. Taylor can have a tendancy of starting slow at times before reaching his optimal level and against Van Gerwin it could be costly. I can see Van Gerwin breaking Taylor’s throw at various crucial stages in tonights match. In last years final over the exact same distance, it finished 16-13 to Taylor over Chisnel. No disrespect to Chisnel but Van Gerwin is on another planet to him, and using that score as a guide, coupled with MVG’s checkout sucess, I think the handicap is enough to cover the win.
Both are capable of checking out big but MVG does it in the big moments. There is rarely a combination out that phases him and I feel if he gets the opportunity to take out say a 170 or a couple of 60’s and any other double, he will do it. He simply excels under pressure.

Took your advice Jordan by doing the Starks combined yards along with a speculative pick on Patriots to score in all four quarters. They have achieved this now in every game bar one (Week 1) and it seems good value at 11/8.

@jordan, i really hope Edelmans injury is very minor. he is as tough as nails for a small fella. Hey Jordan, I don’t understand why defence (all teams) constantly make interference (holding, face mask, etc) when they know they’ll get caught (umpires everywhere). Is it a fact of no brains or just strategy?
Attila don’t talk to me about interference calls mate. Not saying this as I’m butt hurt but the Packers game was the worst officiating crew I’ve ever seen today for interference. Not everything will be called. Its split second decisions from players really. Basically any contact without trying to play the ball is interference if its 5 yards past the line of scrimmage.

Mlac. Need to remember mate its just like any other sport. But realistically you have to look at the spread. 3 points is nothing mate. Basically the same as 0.5 in football or basketball. If the Cards win its not essentially an upset. They’re leading the division and have a much better offense. The Packers on the other hand. Now that’s upsetting. For a team favoured by double digits to lose outright is awful and I’m almost tempted to lump my arse on the Vikings next week. But knowing my luck they will turn up and beat them on their own turf.
@winnerallright. Its a tough one. I actually think he’s quite good but so many times its blamed on the QB when really the biggest factor is the offensive line. If he had players that could hold the rushers for more than a second he might not have to scramble. Then you have to look at the receivers. If they can’t get open then the QB is going to look bad.
