ENGLAND go back into battle against Pakistan today looking to fare better in the ODI format than they did in the recent Test series which they lost 2-0.
Star bowlers James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Steven Finn miss out so England will give stand-ins such as Reece Topley and David Willey the chance to shine.
The four-match series starts in Abu Dhabi this morning and for overall victory Pakistan are 6-5 favourites (Paddy Power) with England 10-3 at Totesport and the draw a 9-4 shot at Skybet.
Eoin Morgan's men are 6-5 at Boylesports to start with a win while Pakistan are chalked up at 8-11 by bet365.

Said I was going to change up the strategy this week but after looking through the matches I think this is too good to turn down. A couple weeks ago I pointed out the Dolphins were only getting 7.5 points when they went to Boston. The same was for the Jets who ended up covering from a field goal with 18 seconds on the clock. Now the unbeaten Patriots will head to the MetLife where they face their ultimate QB nemesis in Eli Manning and the NY Giants who are coming into this with a pass defense ranking 31st? What’s that Mr Brady? You just lost your pass catching running back for the season? No biggie. Make no mistake, Manning has the Patriots numbers winning all three of their last h2h (Two which holds Brady from having 6 Super Bowl rings) but Brady is on a mission against everyone this season. Most of their offensive line starters have been injured for the majority of the season , but each week Brady shows no signs of slowing down. With LaFell also getting back in the mix, they still have a very dangerous offense despite their dual threat out the backfield. Against the Jets in which Lewis was sidelined with an abdomen injury, they ran 16 snaps without a running back on the field (four receivers, one tight end). Do not be surprised to see Brady throw 50 times this weekend. Oh, guess who has given up the second most receiving yards to Tight Ends too? Look for Gronk to have a big game.
The second pick sees the undefeated Bengals face JJ Watts Houston Texans. I say JJ Watt because he’s the biggest name on the team, perhaps the biggest man too, but its safe to say that he has been relatively quiet this season despite picking up form a bit in recent weeks. For the second game in a row, the Bengals will be on national television in which Andy Dalton showed none of his history of playing bad under the lights, beating the Browns 31-10 on Thursday Night Football with three touchdown passes to Tight End Tyler Eifert. The Texans will be well rested coming into this one having more than two weeks to prepare, but the Bengals will be well rested themselves having played Thursday, so they get a stroke of luck with the schedule. The Texans have three wins on the season, all against teams with losing records as I type, the best team being the 3-5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers when they won 19-9 at home. They have only played one team in the current top 5 power rankings which was a 24-17 loss in Carolina who are now one of the hottest teams in the NFC. In each road game, the Texans have given up 20 or more points, 44 or more twice. The Dolphins destroyed them in the first half in Miami, scoring 41 points with no reply, and 48 points against the Falcons who have fallen off the face of the earth. Bengals rank 3rd in points per game, it could be a long night for the Texans. The only positives they have here is that Brian Hoyer is used to playing the Bengals after signing over from the Cleveland Browns. Cecil Shorts is likely to be back so that does give Hoyer another weapon on offense. The trouble is, will they be able to keep up with one of the most dynamic offenses in the league this season? No.
This may be a case of double stake on Sunday but will see what the lines do. Happy with those numbers for now.

He had 4 in 9 legs in the first group match, 2 in 7 in the second and 4 in 9 in the last match.
Hi Mr. Orange, Thornton is definitely very capable of covering that line. He is playing Green who himself is a big 180 hitter so you would think its not going to be a straight forward victory for Thornton. More legs will be played meaning there is more opportunities for 180’s. Thornton has always been known as a prolific 180 scorer (one of the main reasons he won the Grand Prix last month) and as you say he has shown form in the group stages for it already despite talk of an injury. It does indeed look like a good bet :) good luck mate.

That looks like a solid treble Filipino. The only concern I would have is the barney bit. On paper he should win the 180 contest but it ultimately depends on what Wade turns up tonight. When Wade is in beast mode he also is capable of rattling in maximum after maximum. We’ve not seen it in the shorter format yet, just the solitary 180 here and there, but he has been getting a few 140’s. Barney has been battering the 180’s up to now. Im personally just going to take match 180 overs on this but I’ll leave it up to you. Good luck mate.

This AFC East game opens up week 10 in what should be a cracker. Rex Ryan heads back to New Jersey where he managed the Jets for 6 years, and all he’s done this week is try to ruffle some feathers. Mocking Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatricks beard, and naming the same player as a captain who broke Geno Smiths jaw in the pre season. Everyone has their game plans I suppose…
Both sides will be coming into this one fairly banged up, but their main offensive weapons will all start. Jets Brandon Marshall has dealt with a toe/ankle injury for the last couple of weeks and it showed by his production against the Jaguars on the weekend. Eric Decker ha struggled with a knee injury all season but has still put up some decent numbers and was their stand out player on the weekend with Marshalls struggle. Running back Chris Ivory has had a hamstring injury for the past few weeks, with the Jets not able to rush for 100 yards in their last three games. Antonio Cromartie their starting Corner is also a doubt for tomorrow as is starting Right Guard Willie Colon.
On the Bills side of things, Running Back LeSean McCoy has been dealing with a shoulder issue since the start of the season but didn’t show much effect against Miami on the weekend picking up 112 yard son the ground against Miami (one rush was 48 yards). Wide Receiver Sammy Watkins has a niggling ankle injury and was supposedly seen even limping at practice yesterday. Might have something to do with him burning the Miami secondary for 168 yards on Sunday, but he’s got a much tougher match up this week with a first class ticker to Revis Island.
Before the start of the year, both teams were being talked up about how good their defenses would be. In the run game these teams are both respectable. The Jets rank 1st with the Bills not far behind in 6th. Where these teams have struggled is when the ball is coming through the air. The Jets started well but have slowly gone off charts. Blake Bortles threw for 380 yards on the weekend against the Jets secondary even with two interceptions, but you can give some leeway as Revis can’t cover everyone at once. Derek Carr also threw for 333 yards and 4 TD’s in Oakland, so they are beatable if you can pick your passes, but with Tyrod Taylor at the helm and Sammy Watkins their only real receiving threat, that may prove difficult. Tight End Charles CLay can be a threat but he was hardly targeted last week against Miami.
With both sides stout in stopping the run but both struggling in the air in recent weeks, a division game on Thursday Night Football might see a higher total than what they’re giving, but teams not being particularly healthy at the skill position does worry me slightly.
Eric Decker has had six catches in his last three games, averaging 67.4 yards per game with a reception of 20 yards or more in every game, and TD in every game bar one against the Patriots. Marshall may break out of his weekend slump but with the toe injury I’d be inclined to slide with Decker. Nick Mangold their starting Center will be back on the offensive line but the Right Guard out could cause pass protection issues for deep balls. I’ll be looking for Decker to be used and used well in the possession game and I think this yardage is achievable.
