I STILL can't believe it – Kazakhstan 3, Scotland 0. It surely has to be the other way round.
It's been branded Scotland's worst performance of all time and it's difficult to argue and Alex McLeish will do well to survive in the wake of the humiliation.
Well done to the one or two who backed against Scotland before kick-off and the dozens who did so after the match.
I maintain it was a huge shock and the Kazakhs are a poor team and we'll get an idea of their quality when Belgium and Russia visit.
Financially the defeat wasn't a disaster as I lost 1.5pts on the Super Single but saw the stake on my moneyback sixfold returned with my other five teams winning as the favourites all did the business.
Well done to all the winners – and there were plenty if you left Scotland out – and a special mention for Sean McCready who had two out of three correct on his Holland preview including a 4-0 correct score at 7-1.

I didn’t see anyone tipping Kazakhstan to win before the game never mind “many neutrals”.
I’m well aware of the results history over the years including recent ones in the Nations. As far as I’m concerned though, they are better than Latvia + Andorra and about on a par with the likes of Georgia, I know they lost both games to them. The Kazaks do have glimpses of quality in there side and a couple of goals they scored yesterday was decent. Regarding how well backed the Kazaks were, I backed them DC at 1.91, in space of 24 hrs they dropped as short as 1.66 which is over a 25% drop. They won’t have been well backed in Scotland just like not many English will back the Czechs tonight. With some bets on the Scots, I think it was a case of betting with the heart though I understand you had reasoning for backing them on the handicaps. As I’ve said before, a difference of opinion on matches is always good.
I’ve dug it out of spam. At the end of the day your tip was correct and we need differences of opinion.
My view is Scotland handed them 3 cheap goals and made them look good.
If the Kazakhs take something off Russia on Sunday then you’re on to something.
The price drop was probably due to Tierney injury which was a blow with Robertson already out.
I have to admit I had some concerns when I saw the line-up and I’m in the camp that says McLeish has to go.
Strachan shouldn’t have been asked unless we were getting a better manager and that’s not the case.
I see he’s favourite to get his old job back. Don’t think Clarke would take it – he likes the day-to-day involvement of club football.

In regards to Kazakhstan vs Russia game, Golovin will be suspended which is a major blow. I’d expect Cheryshev will be the main creative outlet. The outcome on that game will depend a lot on how well the Russian giants Dzyuba + Smolov are dealt with, not sure whether one or both will start. Expect a low scoring match.
As you can probs tell, I primarily focus on the corner + card markets now, eager to see how Russia BP are priced. Only thing I’ve got noted for Sunday atm.

I dont have much knowledge of the Scotland situation but I was listening to Pat Nevin on local radio over here last night and while he thought it was a terrible result, he thought the problems lie further than just McLeish.
He was going mad about the fact certain teams refused to release their players to play on an astro turf pitch…….is that the case???? Please correct me if I’m wrong, I may have picked him up wrong, but if that is the case then that’s scandalous and he also said the 3 goalkeepers selected had 3 caps between them.
There were bound to be problems at the back if that’s the case.
For medical reasons Bournemouth didn’t want Ryan Fraser to play on plastic and Cardiff asked for Callum Paterson not to play on it. Both are available for Sunday. For me the scandal is allowing top-flight teams and countries to play on plastic – it should be grass or hybrid surfaces.
The keeper situation is that Allan McGregor has retired and Craig Gordon is injured.
Anyway Gordon had lost his place at Celtic to Scott Bain so he justified his call-up. Bain wasn’t the problem but I think a lot of it has to do with McLeish with several players making themselves unavailable.
