IT'S been a busy week and I've had my first look at the weekend coupon.

Saturday's Premier League card doesn't look too exciting and in Scotland it's the Betfred Cup semi-finals with Celtic facing Hibs and Rangers meeting Motherwell 24 hours later.

English League One and League Two teams played midweek and that can affect weekend form so it doesn't look the easiest of weeks.

Hopefully we'll all be able to sort something out and here's my shortlist having looked at stats and form but not team news yet. All bets are evens or above apart from one 10-11 effort.

Let me know if you think any of these should be ruled out and let's see your own picks.

Super Single Shortlist

  • Derby to beat Sheff Wed (5-4, William Hill) wins
  • Hull at Barnsley (11-8, Betfred) wins
  • Shrewsbury at home to Fleetwood (7-5, Marathonbet) wins
  • Oldham at MK Dons (5-2, bet365) loses (4-4)
  • Exeter at home to Port Vale (1-1, McBookie) loses
  • Luton at Crawley (1-1, McBookie) loses
  • Forest Green draw no bet at Stevenage (2-1, Unibet) wins (1-2)
  • Hibs v Celtic both to score (10-11, bet365) wins
  • Dundee at Partick Thistle (11-5, Paddy Power) loses
  • East Fife draw no bet at Alloa (38-25, Marathonbet) loses

Luton are a big stand out price, already taken that! Exeter also, although form has been patchy, if you take away defeats on home turf against promotion chasing rivals, they tend to dispatch weaker teams. Slightly disagree with Forest Green, Stevenage are a good footballing side, and decent at home, fancy them as long as they take their chances!!

Agree with Luton – absolutely flying just now.
Forest Green in there to see what the thinking is but they’re certainly making themselves hard to beat away from home.

Coventry’s scoring has dried up something Robins had highlighted prior to game. They certainly had enough chances but ultimately failed! Green’s draw at County, well it does look like it coincides with a dip in form for Nolan’s boys. Stevenage averaging slightly over 2 per game on home soil, also noticed Godden has again hit the goal trail. Hoping this will edge it !

I won’t be adding anything else to my English list unless others spot potential. Been having more success in Swiss Challenge league and Belgian league 2!!!

I highlighted Shrewsbury’s impressive home form last night. Also noted their 3 defeats in 21 came against two promoted teams….and Fleetwood!

One bet I’ve taken early hails from the Bundesliga

    Eintracht Frankfurt vs Borussia Dortmund
    Frankfurt GOAL before 67 mins
    5/6 @ 365

Scott may have an interest in this game when he delves into the European ties at the weekend. Just thought I’d share.

For Dortmund with not a lot of recovery time and a mountainous injury list, this goal time looks high also taking into consideration Papsatopoulos is also out of this fixture. Also worth considering would be BTTS in amongst a Double or Treble. BTTS and Overs pays a non too shabby 11/10 @ Skybet, has a good chance also. This has occurred in the last 3 competitive contests between the two sides.

Although forest lost at Derby last weekend they created a whole host of chances and I expect them to drub someone soon.. Burton are in line for that drubbing so 4/5 with skybet looks a good wager to me..
