THE darts tips went well yesterday so well done to everyone who contributed, especially Johnb who is more than a one-trick pony.

It's another big day of sport with rugby, tennis, cricket, snooker, golf and US sports. And of course there is boxing tonight with Amir Khan facing a tough fight against Luis Collazo.

World Snooker continues with semi-final action – Mark Selby v Neil Robertson – for the right to face Ronnie O'Sullivan who booked his final place with a session to spare and who looks in unstoppable form.

In rugby the big game is Sale v Leicester on Sky Sports 1 at 3.15pm while for our Gaelic speakers Edinburgh take on Munster on BBC Alba at 5pm.

As usual put up your sports tips and chat here.

    From yesterday’s thread:

Just looked at the scores from last night and to say I’m shocked is an understatement.

Rusty my friend, I would have backed them all again and don’t regret any of the picks. Lady luck completely deserted us. It appears that my small uncertainties with Wood and Arroyo both bit us on the backside, the White Sox didn’t show up and Seattle blew and 8th inning lead.

Not only did none of the -1.5 RLs come in, but they all actually lost! To put it in to context, if you backed all 4 winning teams in an 4-fold you would have got odds at over 26/1.

It all means for me that I am pretty much back at square one since I started 4 days ago.

On to today’s games Rusty, we won’t let a freak night’s results beat us that easily!

  2. Jaseos 10 years ago

Rusty – 3 games jump out at me today:

    NYY, w/Tanaka -1.5 @2.00
    * Tanaka is an elite level pitcher who has adapted incredibly well to life in New York.
*The Rays’ Odorizzi owns a 6.85 ERA in his 5 starts (compared the Tanaka’s 2.27).
*Both teams hit better than average so this will be all about the pitchers.
*The Yanks will want to bounce back after a disappointing 14th inning defeat last night and will want to use their Ace as a “stopper”, to end their losing streak of 3.

    Atlanta, w/Teheran -1.5 @2.25
*Teheren (ERA 1.47) has been made an unbelievably good this season and has given up just 11 hits, 3 walks and 1 ER in his last 24 innings!
*Vogelsong however is not having a good season at all. Although last time out he pitched 7 frames of no-run baseball against Cleveland, reducing his ERA to 5.40
*Like the Yankees game, nothing much separates their hitting line-up, both well below expectations in that department.
*The Braves have lost 4 in a row – surely it’s not going to be 5 with Teheren on the mound… right??

    Baltimore, w/chen -1.5 @2.40 (possibly 1.90 on the ML).
*This is nothing to do with how good Chen is (because he is average), it is to do with how much of a bum Correia is for The Twins. I can’t believe this guy still gets a job in a major league rotation. This season, his ERA is over 7 and despite pitching in “pitcher-friendly” parks his whole career, owns a career ERA of 4.55.
*Baltimore have a better lineup than Minnesota (although they have improved this year).
*The O’s have just gone to the top of the AL East and know that games like this need to be won if they are to be serious contenders.

I look forward to any thoughts from Rusty or anyone with a view on these games and others.

Jaseos, I was awfully surprised by the results last night and you may have noticed it was unpredictable upset results all around. I watched most of the games and I couldn’t go by without noticing the commentators say “We haven’t seen that from him in a long time”, “It’s been a while since they’ve been able to do that” more than once. The April baseball syndrome leaked into the start of May. As you know April is the month of the season where you have a better chance to profit from Underdogs who may or may have not improved from Spring Training with chance being the confounding factor over the logical approach. As the month of May kicks in we get to back teams who have begun to form their identity and take a ride on those who are on a hot or cold streak. This is the month our observations and off-season knowledge begin to truly pay off.

Especially after last night and with Carroll at the mound, I really like the White Sox to seal the deal tonight. I think we also see the Yankees push through with Tanaka. I also really love BAL Orioles with Chen and quite possibly my favorite of them all ATL Braves with Teheran. Lightning rarely strikes twice in baseball, I think we’re really good for tonight to the extent I’m doing double max stakes on -all- picks.

  4. Rustychest 10 years ago

You can’t underestimate Carroll. I’m surprised it took him this long to hit the major leagues.

  5. Rustychest 10 years ago

    MLB 03/05 Plays.

5* ATL Braves with Teheran -1.5 (6-5) — *Playing Double Max Stakes*
5* BAL Orioles with Chen -1.5 (6-5) — *Playing Double Max Stakes*
4* NY Yankees with Tanaka -1.5 (20-21) — *Playing Double Max Stakes*
3* SD Padres with Kennedy ML (20-27)
3* CHI White Sox with Carroll ML (151-100)

  6. honda 10 years ago

Good luck tonight Rusty, max double stake quadruple bingo bong buddah bless you and your selections :)

  7. Rustychest 10 years ago

I’m sorry about last nights results mate :(

  8. Rustychest 10 years ago

Don’t take tonight’s plays from me if you so wish not to. Take them from Jaseos. He knows what he is talking about and has done a nice write-up for anybody willing to do the research.

  9. Rustychest 10 years ago

P.S. I’ve lowered my max stake, so my max stake before is my double max stake now. Here are the Singles slips so you know I’m not bulling and that I’m actually playing them just as you are: http://i.imgur.com/RMGvhyX.png

I’m off for the night. Good luck and thank you :)

  10. honda 10 years ago

Don’t be silly Rusty :) These things happen in sports, good night have a good sleep :)

  11. Jaseos 10 years ago

Thanks Rusty but I will never place a MLB bet without your seal of approval, I just look at the stats using my knowledge of watching. You my friend, have the instinct from a betting point of view which I do not, as I am relatively new to that aspect and have never tried to predict matches before.

Really glad you agree with the 3 picks I put up, a good sign. I am on your first 3 as full stakes and your last 2 as half.

Carroll interests me, I remember him well as one that could come through. He was drafted quite high up, by the Reds in 2007 and made steady progress through the Farm System until he reached AAA and he dropped off. He got traded and got injured and that was the last I heard of him until today when I see he has pitched really well this year. If you think he is good enough then that is worth a half stake for me.

Don’t apologise Rusty, they were top picks. I want to say that tonight’s are too but daren’t!!!

  12. Daniel 10 years ago

Rusty, thanks for a Good work day after day – do you have any stats /hit-rate for your bets?

  13. Trucker 10 years ago

Am on your picks rusty, always have faith :)

  14. honda 10 years ago

Great work there by the Yankees, same cannot be said about the Orio’s :)

  15. Jaseos 10 years ago

Agreed Honda. The winnings from the Yankees game has been lost on the O’s. Tanaka got roughed up there in the early innings but bounced back strong.

I watched the Baltimore game and it was as if Correia had read about my comments on him earlier and pitched 7 excellent frames to spite me, haha! Credit to him but I think it was more down to bad hitting than all-star pitching… It’s my version of events and I’m sticking by it!!!!

  16. honda 10 years ago

Thankfully I put more on the Yankees, not quite double, but the Orio’s were a real let down (I know its actually Orioles :) ) Batting is very important in my opinion, maybe not as much as pitching but still, you got to have something there. Although Yankees ran away in the end, there was an inning where they had 2 out, all 3 bases covered, and up steps Mr Useless to get out without a whim and spoil the party! Hoping the braves do the business while I sleep :) Think my only bet tomorrow football wise will be on the Gunners. Also, what do you think the Yankees will open up at tomorrow on the -1.5?

  17. Hoosha 10 years ago

Thanks again Rusty. And Jaseos for the write up. Let’s hope the Braves, White Sox and Padres all smash their games.

  18. honda 10 years ago

Also, if you had to choose one, what would it be out of Padres on the ML or White sox +1.5 RL?

    • Jaseos 10 years ago

I would go White Sox, just. Their pitcher is a rookie but his stats suggest he should keep it tight and a 1-run loss would still bring home the cash. Both should come in easily though… good luck.

  19. Jaseos 10 years ago

Saw that inning I think you are referring to Honda. If it’s the one I am thinking of they were 4-3 at the time and had men on 2nd and 3rd with NO OUTS earlier in the frame. The chances of getting out of that jam are slim to say the least but did… It always seems to happen against the side you are rooting for!

Hoosha – No problem mate, I just stick up what I see and let Rusty do the picking. White Sox should be looking for revenge after last night’s mauling.

  20. honda 10 years ago

J man I have to say I’m really getting into baseball BIG time :) Looking forward to the NFL starting up later on in the year too. It’s great to have you and Rusty on the thread, please keep posting your thoughts as its collective knowledge that leads to success. I’m just here for moral support :)

  21. Jaseos 10 years ago

Thanks man, I will keep it coming and if it wins a bet or 2 extra for us, all the better!

  22. Iddy 10 years ago

Any thoughts on tonight’s basketball or boxing?

Mayweather will win (probably on points)
Khan v Collazo is the interesting one. Collazo v KO has to be worth a shout??

  23. honda 10 years ago

2 people posted on the boxing tonight :

One a double at I think 10/1 for a KO double with Kahn and Mayweather winning

A 2/1 double for both of them to win on decision.

Kahn along on decision is I think 10/11 on Bet365

  24. honda 10 years ago

  25. JW 10 years ago

Oklahoma City Thunder should beat Memphis tonight in game 7, the game is in Oklahoma 5 of the 6 games before been close with 3 going to overtime however the last game between them thunder won by 20 and Memphis’s main two in Conley and Randolph are both reported as being out injured, not sure on odds has haven’t had time to check yet

  26. Rustychest 10 years ago

I saw that innings where the Yankees had NONE out and bases loaded. Pressure mounted and they saw two outs then the man who had the best chance of getting home the runners in a grand slam home run was intentionally walked… well played by the step-in pitcher but I hate seeing that in baseball. However, the early signs were there and Yankees really stepped it up in the latter innings shutting out the Rays. That was great, but the Orioles? My goodness… it’s a sunny day, home fans packed the stadium and got behind the Twins really well while the O’s looked confused and tired. I think their choice of darker jerseys allowed more sun rays through and tired them quickly. Crazy thought right? :)

  27. Rustychest 10 years ago

Jaseos… killing me… this unpredictability. It’s been impossible to read. My magic ball is broken. Ok, nobody – paid and free – has been getting it quite right but still I’m stepping down and observing for a while or possibly until June. Feel free to continue popping picks up while I’m gone. Good luck.

  28. Jaseos 10 years ago

Rusty, I can’t fathom it. Got off to a good start with the Yankees and then 4 from 4 in the loss column.

Believe me, it has nothing to do with your picks. The stats prove it. Lets take the 4 losses yesterday and their starting pitchers:

Correia MIN – 7.33 ERA (that is earned runs/innings pitched x 9 innings) and in the game he went 6 innings giving up 1 earned run. 1.28 ERA

Masterson CLE – 4.84ERA and game ERA of 0

McCarthy ARI – 5.45ERA and game ERA of 0

Vogelsong SFG – 5.40ERA and game ERA of 1.50

Had all 4, gone 6 innings, there projected runs given up in that time, should have been: 4.8 runs, 3.2, 3.6, 3.6, respectively. Not 0, 0, 1, 1!

What I guess I am trying to say is, the picks that were made, based mostly on the starting pitchers, for the most part did their jobs well enough. I don’t think you can account for 4/5 opposing pitchers (not to mention the previous days picks too) doing so well when everything points to say they won’t.

I will continue to highlight matches but unless Rusty is confident in them, I wouldn’t put money on them.

Who knows, it could turn into a system to back big underdogs because we would all be rich had we backed the last 9 picks, where 8 of them won.

I’m keeping the faith if you do carry on though Rusty.

  29. honda 10 years ago

Ok so perhaps a step back would be wise, however, thoughts on Yankees -1.5 again today :)

  30. Jaseos 10 years ago

Hi guys, here are my thought’s for the days MLB action. Like I said, if Rusty is not going to make picks, I would not back them. Just see if things start to pick up again I guess.

    Miami w/Fernandez @1.56 or -1.5 @2.25
This guy is the real deal and is great fun to watch. Very young and could go on to be an all-time great pitcher. He has been excellent again this season – especially at home and with Miami now finding their bats, they should provide him with enough run support to beat his opposing pitcher, Fife. I don’t want to rip into him too harshly but he has shown very little reason why he should be making his first start of the year for the Dodgers. To cut it short, he is not in Fernandez’s league.

    Texas w/Darvish @1.88 or -1.5 @2.45
Again, a top level pitcher who is all-star caliber. Very consistent over the last couple of years and apart from a bad outing last time, against a very good A’s team, he has been in top form so far this season. The Ranger’s hitting hasn’t been great of late, which is a slight concern and also, the Angels have some very potent batting weapons in Pujols, Trout, et al. Saying that, I fully expect to see Texas taking this one. Texas are 8-2 against the Angels when Darvish starts.

WSH w/Gonzalez – No prices yet
A pitcher mismatch again here. Gonzalez has been Mr Consistent over the last 4+ years and has pitched very well in his career meetings with Philadelphia (6-2 when he starts). Hernandez for The Phils is, to put it simply, lucky to still have a job in the Majors. His season’s ERA is 5.74 (lifetime 4.70) and his WHIP is a huge 1.54 (career 1.42), meaning the Nats should be getting an average of about 1.5 hits/walks every inning he pitches. Both batting line-ups are pretty similar in strength so should come down to the pitchers.

    Houston w/McHugh @1.90 or -1.5 @2.80
The main reason for this pick is that both Houston and Seattle have weak batting line-ups and bullpens. Therefore the starters are the key to this game. McHugh, although very inexperienced has pitched 2 games in the Big Leagues this year and both were excellent. The important point being his first one was against Seattle where he won, pitching 6.2inns, 3 hits, 0ERs and 12Ks. Maurer on the other hand is probably one more bad start away from being sent back down to the Minors. 6.75 ERA, 1.5 WHIP (career 6.34 and 1.54 WHIP). I never thought I would say it but Houston look good to win this one.

  31. honda 10 years ago

Yankees not got Tanaka at pitch today?

  32. Jaseos 10 years ago

Honda. Yankees -1.5 seems a good shout @2.25. I didn’t mark it down because Sabathia is so frustratingly inconsistent and he is just as likely to give up 0 runs as he is 6/7. I just have a feeling the Yanks are playing well lately and would only need a half decent start from CC to win this game.

  33. Jaseos 10 years ago

Honda, Tanaka pitched yesterday. I’m not sure how much of this you know but all teams have 5 starting pitchers that take turns in a Rotation, looking to get through at least 6 innings if they can. Tanaka won’t be available until later next week

  34. honda 10 years ago

Yeah I mean the way there batting came to life yesterday from 3-0 down to score 9 was great stuff, just without Tanaka I’m not sure how the others will do as I know nothing about baseball :) I like the Marlins today :)

  35. Jaseos 10 years ago

Miami do indeed look good today. Try and watch it if you can because Fernandez is something else.

  36. honda 10 years ago

I want to watch it but I cant have that as well as bet265 open at the same time otherwise the stream is stop start :) Tough choice :)

  37. Jaseos 10 years ago

A very small stakes, money line only double – Miami Marlins and Houston Astros. Pays @3.01, couldn’t resist at that price, although I fully expect to lose so I wouldn’t follow me!

  38. Iddy 10 years ago

Rusty – get the picks on.
It’s all for fun and no-one has to back them. Let’s stick to small stakes though until you are back on form and the league settles down to some consistency.

  39. Jaseos 10 years ago

Agreed Iddy, nobody has to bet but you can’t let a nightmare couple of days ruin all the good work you have done.

  40. Hoosha 10 years ago

I want to echo Iddy and Jaseos and reckon you should keep posting your tips, everyone has a bad few days, you can’t win them all. Even the best tipsters such as Raal, Greg and Damo all have bad days but they keep going and the luck turns again.

It’s as you say, shock results which we all know, doesn’t happen everyday. I for one would still like to see your picks everyday still if you’d care to post your thoughts mate.

    Keep the faith Rusty. :)

  41. Rustychest 10 years ago

G’day gents. Well, no mention for the hot COL Rockies today? :) Jaseos, what about Reds? Brews ball-punching-bat-breaking hitman Ryan Braun is on the disabled list and you guys have Simon on the mound. Cheers

  42. honda 10 years ago

Hello Rusty, whats your thoughts on the Marlins?

  43. Rustychest 10 years ago

Also worth noting is the DET Tigers @ KC Royals with Verlander and Vargas Game Totals line is at 8.0! That’s sure to be a pitching rally right Jaseos? and I would have expected a main line of 6.5

  44. Rustychest 10 years ago

I think Marlins get an easy home win with super young talent Fernandez on the mound. Even on his worst day the kid keeps it under 4 ERA and really knows how to shut-out. Only issue with that pick is it’s really short. ;)

  45. honda 10 years ago

Was thinking the RL on that one Rusty ;)

  46. Rustychest 10 years ago

Yeah, if he is to get the run support today you could even play the -2.5 line which shouldn’t be an issue as Dodgers had to replace Ryu for an inconsistent Rookie.

  47. Rustychest 10 years ago

Yeah some really great picks mentioned here for tonight.

MIA Marlins with Fernandez -1.5 (5/4)
COL Rockies with Chachin -1.5 (29/20)
DET Tigers @ KC Royals with Verlander and Vargas – Under 8.0 (21/20)
WAS Nationals with Gonzalez -1.5 (23/20)
HOU Astros with McHugh ML (50/53) or -1.5 (7/4)
MIN Twins with Hughes ML (20/21) or -1.5 (9/5)

Take your pick. Waiting for thoughts on Reds.

  48. honda 10 years ago

Rusty, do you rate Tanaka for the Yankees?

  49. Rustychest 10 years ago

honda, you seem to be obsessed with Yankees today! :) I’m guessing it’s so you can add some spice to your enjoyment while watching this early game mate? Yankees have Sabathia today and his days of #1 are a distant memory. The only pick I would take for that game would be going into the Alternative Game Total market and adding Over 7 into an accumulator ;)

  50. honda 10 years ago

Its just….there’s something about them, I might even make them my baseball team :) Will be watching the Marlins, no baseball on TV today so going to stream it :) Astros so unlucky last night, if it wasn’t for that pitcher going to poop before being switched when bases were fully loaded with no outs they probably would have won that one!

  51. Hoosha 10 years ago

Good to see you again Rusty, I thought you may have disappeared into the distance after your last post :)

Do you perchance have any star ratings for your picks tonight my man?

    • Rustychest 10 years ago

Hoosha, thanks. Really I was going to stop by and comment on how Chelsea was killing my taste for football but I couldn’t help digging into this thread. I live and breath US sports so may as well continue to contribute my thoughts and plays.

  52. Rustychest 10 years ago

honda, it’s cool to pick a team :) you clearly have a fancy towards Yankees. They have tradition, I know some people who are avid fans. My team is Dodgers :)

  53. Jaseos 10 years ago

    Rusty.

Colorado – They are hitting better than any team by a mile but they are outmatched in the pitching tonight, as Chacin has not made a Major league start this season and Gee is pitching nicely. This could well be a slug-fest, with a winner anyone’s guess.

Reds – Lohse and Simon both pitching with sub-2 ERAs. It’s hard to oppose a pitcher like Lohse who since leaving the reds, always seems to bite is in the backside. With that kind of ERA, with or without Braun, the Reds bats are not great at the minute so expect a close one.

Spot on with your assessment of the Detroit game, left that well alone to try and pick a winner but like you said though, should be low scoring.

I’ve never looked into the under/overs. What are the success rates for these bets? Just looked, it would be hard to imagine 8 or more runs in the Reds game though right?

  54. Rustychest 10 years ago

Jaseos, the bookies are usually spot on with their totals pricing but it’s fun to spot the stand out mistake odds and the Tigers game seems just that. Success rate for overs/unders is high if you generally play it like I do which is take the lowest over and highest under into an accumulator (max as a treble). The overs/unders will do your research with stats more justice than picking a winner honestly.

  55. Rustychest 10 years ago

    Try this.

OAK Athletics @ BOS Red Sox – Under 10.5
DET Tigers @ KC Royals – Under 10
SEA Mariners @ HOU Astros Under 10.5
    Pays 2/1-ish

  56. Jaseos 10 years ago

Honda, The Yankees, AKA The Evil Empire. The team that wears pin-stripes for all of their home games, with numbers only (no names) on the back. Also, they don’t allow long hair or beards on their players. Johnny Damon had to cut and shave when he joined a few years back. Also you will be in a cross city rivalry with Rusty’s Dodgers (formerly the Brooklyn Dodgers), similar to Man Utd and Liverpool thing.

    • Rustychest 10 years ago

Jaseos, I’m already a huge rival with honda but I don’t mention it :P

  57. Rustychest 10 years ago

    huge rival in football* ;)

  58. Rustychest 10 years ago

I hate the whole anti-beard thing. Epic Beards are so in now and suits athletes in all sports just fine. Out of any sport, I think it suits Baseball players the most :) I can’t blame him if he chooses to barrack Yankees though Jaseos. ;)

  59. Hoosha 10 years ago

I was just looking at the Marlins game and about to put a bet on -1.5 and the betting gets suspended, and then all of a sudden it’s 2-0. Damn.

  60. Rustychest 10 years ago

Jaseos, Athletics with Gray seem to be priced 50/50 with Red Sox but I think they have an wider edge than the price suggests.

  61. Rustychest 10 years ago

Really unlucky Hoosha. I’ve missed a lot of picks like that. Mobile alerts are needed for this website. Too much quality to be left unplayed ;)

  62. Rustychest 10 years ago

I mean, I would happily pay for a text alert subscription from Greg, Chief, Raal on the football end of things to name a few.

  63. honda 10 years ago

I haven’t decided yet, I will continue to watch and see who takes my fancy, I mean no beards, what the F@ck? On another note,

    GO MARLINS :)

No offense Rusty love you :)

  64. Rustychest 10 years ago

It’s ok Honda. I forgive you as I was at the 2000 UEFA Cup Final where Galatasaray won the trophy over Arsenal and I was fully yellow and red. I have a pity duty towards you for that :P joking haha :)

    • honda 10 years ago

Haha that was a low blow Rusty :) Only on Marlins -1.5 for a double quadruple bi pass stake and a small one on J man’s double including the Marlins on the ML

    • Rustychest 10 years ago

Jaseos, I don’t want to steal your glory. These picks have been written up by you before I even say a word. All the mentioned plays are you :)

Hoosha, if you do in-play bets, it is indeed a good situation to cover at least. 4 1/2 innings bets can also be very profitable if you’re able to catch a pattern in how each team begins the game. Jaseos and I will have to look deeper into it down the season :)

    • Rustychest 10 years ago

honda, you have nothing to worry about. I’m a very civil person and fan :)

  65. Jaseos 10 years ago

Hoosha. That’s Stanton for you, he is an absolute monster of a man with scary power.

Rusty. Gray it a top, underrated pitcher and think you are right although Lackey can be very good when he gets it right.

I see what you mean about the under/overs. I honestly didn’t realise you could bet on all the different markets, I thought it was just the ones they put up on the main screen. 2/1 seems ridiculous odds for that treble.

  66. Rustychest 10 years ago

So are we all aboard on the aforementioned plays? Good luck to all :)

  67. Rustychest 10 years ago

Jaseos, don’t you love these kind of situations? egs. I’m content with Dodgers @ Marlins going either way.

  68. Rustychest 10 years ago

Damn Marlins are seriously sharp tonight.

  69. Hoosha 10 years ago

There must be a lot of value in betting on teams that go two down in the first couple of innings, Marlins to wins re now 1/6 on the moneyline, but they could go 4-2 down themselves with one hit of the ball.

Is this a profitable way of betting Rusty, Jaseos?

  70. Rustychest 10 years ago

Ramirez and Puig hitting really well. Fernandez not looking too comfortable yet.

  71. Rustychest 10 years ago

2 – 2 ball game JUST LIKE THAT aye

  72. honda 10 years ago

    Damn…. 2 errors for me

    • Rustychest 10 years ago

Jaseos, I’m taking faith with Colorado. Chacin is red hot at home and is against a poor Mets pen. We’ve been riding a lot of mismatch and logical stats picks. I think this is a pull-away pick with a win for Rockies

  73. honda 10 years ago

Need more from the Marlins bat, or less from Fife :) Or both :)

  74. Rustychest 10 years ago

Kemp always in the right spot outfield

  75. Rustychest 10 years ago

  77. honda 10 years ago

Fife needs to chill out :)

  78. Rustychest 10 years ago

    Dayummmmm son…. YELICH!

  79. honda 10 years ago

Damn I thought that was a double :)

  80. Rustychest 10 years ago

I now have a bet on all the games coming up :)

  81. honda 10 years ago

I got a bad feeling about this Marlins game :) Damn you Dodgers :)

  82. Rustychest 10 years ago

See that? Fernandez showing why pitchers should be the priority factor in all baseball betting. :)

  83. honda 10 years ago

Agreed, but that is why batters help :)

  84. Rustychest 10 years ago

honda, if Fernandez wasn’t at the mount that HR wouldn’t have meant much considering how far behind they would have been.. psychologically would Stanton have been able to make that home run AFTER an innings that most other pitchers could have fumbled? ;)

  85. Rustychest 10 years ago

A lot of defensive errors from Dodgers lately, particularly in the opening innings. A candidate to bet against on 4 1/2 innings bets

  86. honda 10 years ago

Very good point Rusty, would be good if Marlins could score without having to get a home run though ….

  87. honda 10 years ago

    F@cks sake man so useless

  88. Jaseos 10 years ago

Right, kids are in bed and onto the baseball… I see from the comments that Fernandez has been value for money. Really disappointed in Houston; At home against a struggling rookie but dead bats. Also CC looks to have failed again – I think there must be something wrong with him, he is usually a very good pitcher.

  89. misafir 10 years ago

    Rusty usta

I think i must slowly jump here cos footie hayir yok :)

Have you a NAP for tonight? A value bet to refresh the account?

  90. Rustychest 10 years ago

misafir, your face is a nap :)

Astros are useless tonight. Tigers are continuing their red hot run… we should ride the Tigers train sometime soon yeah :)

  91. Rustychest 10 years ago

I’m a bit pissed off. All the baseball streams have gone down and are not connecting for me… I’m in panic.

  92. 1plus2 10 years ago

try cricfree tv rusty watching the marlins game at the moment

  93. Jaseos 10 years ago

Rusty. Yeah, looks like The Tigers are hotting up. They have beat up on a good arm tonight in his own yard. *Mental note; bet on Tigers*

  94. Rustychest 10 years ago

cricfree tv is stuttering and stopping

    • 1plus2 10 years ago

Everything is fine here rusty no issues whatsoever you did the old clean the cache and the usual suspects m8 ?
even a change of browser can help at times

    • 1plus2 10 years ago

Also rusty do the old speed test and see if there is any issues http://www.speedtest.net/

  95. przemm 10 years ago

Also rusty do the old speed test and see if there is any issues http://www.speedtest.net/

  96. honda 10 years ago

Astros absolute poop, same can be said for the Yankees. I use VIPBOX just google it. Once you click off all the pop ups and the ads finish playing its running smooth. Kinda fuzzy though :)

  97. Rustychest 10 years ago

More than half the games have already started.

  98. honda 10 years ago

Do Mariners have another 3 outs?

  99. misafir 10 years ago

    Rusty usta

That means i missed it tonight, right? :)

  100. 1plus2 10 years ago

    Tied game now 4-4

  101. honda 10 years ago

No more baseball for me :)

    • honda 10 years ago

Saying that how much money could be made simply by betting on the opposite of what you were initially going to bet on :)

  102. Jaseos 10 years ago

    What was Stanton doing there???

  103. Jaseos 10 years ago

Honda. I mentioned that idea when Rusty had the 1st bad day, when all 4 lost. 28/1 accumulator I think it was!

  104. honda 10 years ago

Might have to be done J man, last 2 days I couldn’t pick my nose never mind a bet! I need a savor :)

  105. Rustychest 10 years ago

    Cheers for the stream help!

honda, don’t cold out yet. I still think the least loved pick here in Rockies are going to come home nicely :)

I’m telling you though, the logical approach isn’t the ideal one at the moment! Play the OPPOSITE of the obvious pick seems a good idea :)

  106. Rustychest 10 years ago

What you guys are talking about is called ‘fading’. Jaseos, do your usual write-up and logical picks tomorrow, I’ll post my obvious ones and lets all play the opposite :)

    • Jaseos 10 years ago

      Will do

  107. Jaseos 10 years ago

    A Houston comeback????

  108. Jaseos 10 years ago

Rusty you have convinced me. I am going big on Colorado.

  109. 1plus2 10 years ago

I usually bet on baseball in spurts I can take it or leave it but if I do bet it’s usually the overs/unders market never nothing else

  110. honda 10 years ago

To win by one someone kick me in the balls and be done with it :)

  111. Rustychest 10 years ago

Public’s money have been on these selections today:
    White Sox 54%
    Yankees 80%
    Marlins 71%
    Athletics 53%
    Braves 62%
    Pirates 54%
    Orioles 52%
    Tigers 82%
    Astros 60%
    Nationals 76%
    Rangers 58%
    Padres 70%
    Brewers 74%
    Mets-Rockies 50/50
    Cardinals 84%

  112. Rustychest 10 years ago

Yeah, please kick me in the balls too.

  113. Rustychest 10 years ago

Marlins winning by one does me no good in any aspect.

  114. honda 10 years ago

Definitely going for the opposite tomorrow, seems a few already have by your stats. Try that and if that fails, I’m all out of ideas fellas :)

  115. Rustychest 10 years ago

honda, there are people charging 2 grand a month for these picks that have been worse overall… what about the poor people who paid for that crap?

    • 1plus2 10 years ago

As long as you aint 1 of them rusty ;-)

    • Rustychest 10 years ago

I have never paid for a pick and I never will. Some of those guys are serious shams. Like charging 50 bucks on the first Warriors-Clippers game post scandal and the guys selection was Clippers… haha. Seriously!!

  116. DeAndre 10 years ago

    NBA Series Betting

The soon to be champion Thunder to win the series versus the Clippers (20-37)

The Wizards to win the series versus the Pacers (19-10)

    Double pays 7-2

Haven’t played the baseball for over a week now Rusty, hope you’re still cleaning up :-)

    • Rustychest 10 years ago

Sup DeAndre. As you may have noticed, postseason NBA betting has been at a minimum. We’re all trying to decipher MLB as it kicks into full swing

  117. Rustychest 10 years ago

also, we’re still in a period of unstable performances… chance is a HUGE factor at the moment

  118. DeAndre 10 years ago

Not much Rusty, losing all my dosh on the GGs and I don’t even like the flat season!!! Might have to try and get into baseball and make some money with you guys

  119. Rustychest 10 years ago

Now that’s a low blow! :D nobody is making dosh of baseball at the moment haha

  120. Rustychest 10 years ago

Tomorrow’s logical picks that come to mind:
DET Tigers with Sherzer – Do not fade
OAK Athletics with Kazmir – Fade with caution
LA Dodgers with Greinke – Fade with caution
KC Royals with Ventura – Fade worthy

    :)

  121. honda 10 years ago

Seriously, anyone in profit so far this baseball season is a miracle worker! Rusty, I’m tempted to fade all of them bad boys! Bed time for me, goodnight and good luck :)

  122. Rustychest 10 years ago

    honda, cya mate :)
