THERE were no winners last week so as we count down to the end of the season Paul Petrie retains his convincing lead in the bookies' challenge.

The McBookie.com has won £286.91 to £10 stakes while William Hill's Owen is on £72.25. Here are Saturday's tips from the duo.

Owen writes: “I'm running out of time this season to catch Paul in the challenge as once again he is set to be crowned top tipster. I need a couple of decent wins in the next couple of weeks so for now odds-on shots are out of the equation.

“Pollok (1-10 are my first pick as they head to Shettleston in the West of Scotland Cup. Lok look to have one of the automatic promotion spots sewn up and looks like Shettleston will need to make do with a play-off spot at best. Although this is the cup I still reckon Pollok will get the win.

Kelty (5-4) have never looked like giving up pole position in the league but this weekend will see their toughest task yet as they play host to Bo'ness. A win will see Kelty be short favourites for the title and reckon they can get it.

Kilwinning (11-4) is my surprise of the day as they visit Beith in the cup. The Buffs have already won at Beith this season when they put them out the Scottish and I'm looking for them to do the double this weekend.

Paul writes: “First up I am backing Irvine Meadow to beat Shotts at 4-7. It has been a great season for Meadow and it would be fitting if they managed to win some silverware. I certainly think they will be too strong for Shotts.

Next I am on Dufftown to beat Islavale in the North Region at 6-5. This game is going to have a massive bearing on the destination of the title and I am led to believe Islavale might be missing some players for the big game. The away side are the current favourites for the league but if Dufftown can pick up three points it could put them back in the driving seat.

Finally, in the East Region I am backing Bo’ness at 13-10 to beat Kelty Hearts. Kelty are long odds on for the title and this is a must game for Bo’ness if they are going to catch them at the top of the table. There is sure to be plenty of fans at the game for what is a massive game and hopefully both teams will put on a good show.
