ABERDEEN look a nice price at a shade of odds on to celebrate the return of a smattering of their fans to Pittodrie by defeating Kilmarnock.

On an extremely rare occasion where all six games kick off at 3pm on a Saturday the Dons look the best bet of the day to get the win.

Somehow or another Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes appears to have stumbled upon a very good formation with the players – all slotted into their right positions – to match it.

The 3-4-3 features one of the strongest midfields in the league, including the Old Firm. In fact, with Jonny Hayes and Matty Kennedy on either side of Lewis Ferguson and Ross McCrorie, Aberdeen should be tearing up trees this season, especially now McInnes appears to have finally appeared to ease off the handbrakes.

It's a good squad the Dons have too, being able to call on the likes of Niall McGinn and Dylan McGeouch off the bench and there's plenty others there who would walk into most Premiership first teams. Top scorer Sam Cosgrove is injured too remember.

Their 1-0 win at Easter Road was more one-sided than the scoreline suggested and Hibs are supposed to be one of the main challengers to be best of the rest.

Killie got their first win of the season in their last game against Dundee United in considerable style but again Aberdeen look to be better player for player and can give those fans something to cheer at 17-20 and make it five wins on the spin.

St Johnstone are a big price at 2-1 to win at Motherwell. The Saints battered St Mirren in their last game and should have won by more than just a solitary goal and they at least matched Aberdeen and Hibs at home too, although they ended up losing both games.

That Stevie May goal could have seen Callum Davidson's side turn a corner and they will travel to Lanarkshire full of confidence.

Something just isn't right at Fir Park this season and last season's third-placed side have really struggled. Even their one win all season – against Glentoran in the Europa League – came when the Northern Irish side had a man sent off.

They look disjointed and the sale of David Turnbull to Celtic could hardly have come at a worst time. Stephen Robinson's men look uneasy favourites going into this encounter and the Perth side are a value wager.
