I DECIDED to take a risk with the goals single on Monday in a bid to return it to profit – and the move paid off big time.
In one swoop I wiped out March losses by advising 3.5pts on Algeria to score 3+ away to Oman in an international friendly.
It was 3-0 inside an hour so the bet came up easily and I must thank raaljaca who tipped over 1.5 Algeria goals. I looked at the stats before considering it and discovered Oman usually concede three or four to decent opposition.
The goals single paid 11.67pts and now shows a small profit which I'm happy about. I won't be doing the goals single v super single trial in April because it didn't prove anything to me except you have to pick the right ones on any bet you choose.
Burton to beat Stevenage was the Super Single and unfortunately that ended in a draw so I'm down to a 2pts profit going into the last day of the month.
On Tuesday we're confronted by more international friendlies including Italy v England, Holland v Spain and one qualifier – Israel v Belgium. Anyone who watched Israel lose 3-0 at home to Wales on Saturday will lump on the Belgians.
Israel were awful and could have slumped to a much heavier defeat. Their confidence will be shattered and you have to expect a similar sort of result after Belgium warned up nicely with a 5-0 weekend win against Cyprus. The Belgians are 1-2 with the likes of bet365 and Betfred to win and Belgium -1 is my Super Single at 7-5 with Paddy Power.
Looking at it logically the Belgians, still without Romelu Lukaku, should match Wales' result. But Israel, who had been unbeaten in the campaign until the weekend, should be better although they are without top scorer in qualifying Omer Damari who was injured in that defeat and Eytan Tibi who was red carded.
I'm unashamedly going double or quits with the March profit so it's 2pts on Belgium -1 for me – and it's the same deal with the goals single (1.57pts – double or nothing for March).
I've seen Marouane Fellaini tipped to score after his weekend double and his aerial ability will test the Israelis. He is 3-1 with Paddy Power but I'm taking Kevin de Bruyne, 16 goals with Wolfsburg this season, at 11-4 with 888sport.
In League One Bradford face Gillingham as they continue to catch up after their FA Cup run and in Scotland it's Falkirk v Cowdenbeath and Elgin v Berwick with the latter featuring the goals single.
The League Two clash is tough to call with both teams in decent form. Elgin have charged up the table since Xmas while Berwick are unbeaten in four since losing to Hibs in the Scottish Cup.
Elgin stunned leaders Albion Rovers 3-0 away on Saturday but have lost their last two at home while Berwick bashed East Fife away last midweek. Best bet could be both to score at 8-13 with bet365 but I'm chancing Elgin to score two or more at 11-8.
They have averaged two a game at home to Berwick in the last 13 meetings at Borough Briggs and have netted exactly two against the Wee Rangers in two of three meetings this season.
Falkirk need the points after slipping up at Dumbarton at the weekend and should bounce back with a win that pays no more than 1-3 with the likes of William Hill but again Falkirk -1 interests me at 10-11 with Paddy Power and while it's risky I'm taking that to kick off the Top Treble.
An alternative would be Falkirk to win to nil (11-10, Paddy Power) as the Fifers have failed to net on their last eight visits – losing seven and six of them by more than one goal.
The only league game in England is Bradford v Chesterfield and it looks short of goals so add under 2.5 to the treble. The last two meetings at Valley Parade have totalled one goal and it was 1-0 Bradford earlier this season. City look a bit jaded and four of their last six have gone under 2.5 goals and Chestefield's last two have been under 1.5.
I planned to tip against Wrexham in the Conference after they surprisingly lost the FA Trophy Final to North Ferriby on Sunday after extra time and penalties. After being 2-0 up the Wembley experience will have taken a lot out of the Welsh ahead of meeting in-form Dover. However, Wrexham have sacked boss Kevin Wilkin so I don't know how that will affect the team but Dover still tempt at 7-5 with Betfred and William Hill.
Friendly internationals aren't my cup of tea. Italy v England in Turin isn't likely to be a thriller but Roy Hodgson seems to be taking it more seriously than his counterpart Antonio Conte.
Italy have won just three of their last 17 friendlies which makes you wonder why they bother even playing them. Conte has named a line-up that will feature Graziano Pelle and Eder, starting for the first time after scoring as a sub in Bulgaria at the weekend.
England will start Harry Kane and after his strike against Lithuania he is 8-1 with BetVictor and Ladbrokes to score first although Wayne Rooney is the 6-1 favourite with William Hill.
Hodgson's side could win at 9-4 with Betfred but I'm completing the treble with England not to lose.

Wales had a comfortable win on Saturday evening with a 3-0 performance. Israels top goalscorer Omer Damari left the field in the first half with a groin strain and will not feature with Eitan Tibi receiving his marching orders so won’t be available. Belgium can leapfrog Israel and Wales to the top of the group with a win tomorrow night in Haifa. Probably worth waiting for team news but I can’t imagine Wilmots will change much knowing they can sit level on points with Wales but still be at the top of the group with a massive goal difference by the end of tomorrow evening.
For a smaller bet I’d tempted on adding England to score. We will be without Welbeck and Sterling but Harry Kane will be making his official debut alongside Rooney. The goals v SS is not a competition as they are both Mr F’s selections. A total of 54 bets at an average of around 4 points each, £40, gives a total stake of around £2,160 which has given a profit of £35.70 which went into profit due to the Algerian goals bet I highlighted yesterday. I have shown that backing goals is the one and only way to win time and time again and I know plenty are now doing this. Anybody who is serious about beating the bookies can do it by studying the goals form and markets. A good target is 50% minimum profit on your stakes week by week.
yes Raal even the 1.5+ Iceland bet you put up i followed because it felt like that was the value bet of the weekend.. goals are way to go but some of my mates dont wanna follow because they don’t feel the £10 get back £22 odd back cos its not “hitting the belly” a term we use in london when you smash the bookies for a lot of money from the small stake
when you do have the betting bank balance these bets are always going you to serve you better in the long run and I after my win on Wednesday have now the power to just earm profit of these type of bets while also trying others but just for speculative fun at small stakes

Raaljaca Mate, If I understand You right, you then think a profit of around 500 for 10 x 100 bets (Total stakes 1000) is possible to aim for week by week?
Daniel, if someone is genuinely prepared to take an hour or so every day to look at the upcoming games and study the goals markets etc then the 50% profit target is very easily achievable. You need to look at prices to see if any decent odds against quotes are standing out as they are always the best bets for covering if early goals are scored but it takes time and effort but is rewarded constantly.
raaljaca, the average for a goals bet was nowwhere near 4pts, more like 2.5 but the profit is less than what I hoped for. I agree with you about the 50 per cent profit if all your research was on this type of bet but of course I have to offer a variety of markets. It would be interesting to see if you could prove that by putting one single up a day and counting the points.

My post was not a criticism it merely stated that it is hard to compare separate markets when chosen by the same person and given a lot of Mr F’s tips are put up long before team or market news becomes available it is difficult to nail what is perhaps the best value bets at times. I can post a tip each day if need be but it will be around early evening midweek and lunchtime at weekends. I will also make sure I am on here in running so that any possible cover bet can be posted and I will show what price and bookmakers offer it at the time. I am happy to have 2 totals running each day from original tip, profit or loss, and if used the cover bet profit or loss, although a cover bet will normally always be used to break even at worst. It isn’t something I like but will give it a go to see if it can help show what can be done.
Raal it has to be no inplay markets surely,pre match tip has to be strictly adhered to and at no time altered should it go the way of the majority of my bets going t1ts up after 20 minutes more often than Katie Price at a hen party.
No Sean it has to be a bet that can generate profit. You want me to post a tip but not take the opportunity to make it a guaranteed winning one if the chance arises? Have a think about that mate then ask why so many people lose money gambling. I bet to win money and the only restrictions placed on me are by the bookies.

Maybe competition was the wrong word to use, I just remember at the start of the month with all the talk of goals being better for profit fixit said he would do a goals single and a super single to see how this turned out. Then a few days in I noticed when both singles had roughly the same odds he was staking more on the ss creating a biased result if the ss came in. When I said I said this he said they have nothing to do with each other and they are merely just two separate bets. gg1a, depends on his fitness level and how serious he wants the early knock out mate. With AJ it is always possible he could use the first round to sharpen up and finish it in round 2. I personally think he will stop him with around a minute simply because Gavern lasted until round 4 with Deontay Wilder last year and AJ will look better stopping him straight away although Wilder did not attempt an early stoppage that night. Gavern is basically there to be knocked out as he is a very very poor fighter and anything other than round 1 will not look great on AJ’s CV.

Just wanted to add to what Raal said about goals being the way to beat the bookies. I completely agree, my more successful markets include: BTTS, o1.5tg and overs.
Plus its much more exciting if you’re watching the matches or following them… if you’re looking at WDW, Unders etc you’re crapping yourself everytime the other team attacks or your phone beeps with a score update. I think WDW is saturated with what i call guess betting leaving the goal markets more open.

The Swiss are at home today in capital Zurich and face off against a USA side managed by ex Spurs man Jurgen Klinsmann. The swiss are a strong team these days and they haven’t let themselves down today fielding a full side featuring Shaqiri, Mehmedi and Drmic as the forwards. They have scored in their last 4 games and scored 2 or more in 4 of their last 6. They have conceded in 5 of their last 9 friendlies on home soil but kept 2 clean sheets in their last 2 against Jamaica and Peru. USA are better then those 2 sides though so expect the swiss defence to have more of a struggle.
USA can score goals, they have netted in their last 6 away games. Jozy Altidore, Michael Bradley and Zardes start today up top with a makeshift backline due to tinkering from the manager. They have recently netted away in Ireland, Chile and Denmark and i think they can repeat that feat today.

As always i look for teams i am confident will net, In this case Switzerland… and then i look to make a case for the other side to score. Regulars wont be surprise to read but I fancy us to get a result tonight. Italy beat us at the world cup, but we gave Pirlo all the time in the world in the amazon. We were poor in Brazil but Italy wasn’t much better. Eight of their starters tonight have ten caps or less and Italy have only won 3 of their last seventeen friendlies.
England are expected to experiment with a four diamond two formation, with Phil Jones as the holding midfielder and Rooney could be playing behind Kane and Walcott. Walcott could be decent value to score if he does get the nod, but I want to be the man of the moment Harry Kane, who can score with both feet and is good in the air. He is 3/1 Paddy Power.
I think we could win tonight, Italy have scored 9 goals in six matches and have beaten Azerbaijan, Albania and Malta but were hardly anything to fear. Croatia and Bulgaria have held them to draws. We have scored 18 goals in that time scoring twice in Switzerland in qualifying and three against Scotland. I am taking O1.5g at 9/4 Coral.

Israel are perhaps surprisingly ahead of Belgium, They sit 2nd with tonights opponents in 3rd. Its all pretty tight up there though with Wales leading the way but a win for either of these 2 would see them top the group. The home side have actually done better than expected in this campaign, they have so far won 3 times and lost once which came last week at home to Wales (3-0) They have scored 9 goals in 4 games but 6 of them came against Cyrpus and Andorra. The other 3 came against Bosnia in a 3-0 win, and whilst on paper that seems like a great result, i recall Bosnia had a first half red card so i would take that one with a pinch of salt. They have conceded 5 in the 4 games, perhaps embarrassingly conceding once each to Cyrpus and Andorra. The fact the got smashed 3-0 by wales tells me they will struggle tonight. Realistically, the Israeli’s will need a result tonight of some form if they are to have a chance of gaining automatic qualification, they will most likely get 3rd place and reach the playoffs.
Belgium are the up and comers of world football right now. Stars coming from everywhere especially the likes of Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Vincent Kompany. They will start with Christan Benteke upfront tonight, the 3 mentioned earlier should all start and the inform Marouane Felliani should reach the first 11 again. If they win tonight they will go top and Marc Wilmots the Belgian coach has stated they will not accept anything less than 3 points. They have scored 12 times in 5 games and only conceded once in a 1-1 away game in Bosnia. They have under performed in the first few games but after smashing Cyprus 5-0 they look to be back.

Raal, I have been following this site for a few months now and starting to get serious about my betting. Not much for me betting wise but i do like the chances of Belgium to get over 1.5 goals @ 4/6 and may have a small flutter on the anytime scorer market Marouane Fellaini @ 3/1 Paddy Power which is a fantastic price considering the pathetic 6/4 with Skybet { greedy bast@@ds},always a danger going forward scoring twice at weekend.
Italy v England ,Always try to avoid friendlies but this stands out for me,can’t seperate these 2 sides who are in decent form with both undefeated since World Cup so it points to a draw for me with both sides being happy enough to extend unbeaten runs for a while longer. Correctly Predicted the 1-1 final score for Ireland match against Poland and i can see this finishing with the same scoreline.
