IT'S all about darts first of all as the Betway Premier League continues in Leeds and then basketball and maybe ice hockey will take over this thread.
The big question on punters' minds is: What will happen first – a nine-darter in the First Direct Arena or DeAndre putting up tips?
There are five more ties at Leeds starting with Dave Chisnall v Simon Whitlock and while Chizzy is the slight favourite I wouldn't rule out a draw between the two strugglers.
Next Adrian Lewis is 5-6 with William Hill to beat Robert Thornton and the Englishman looks the part at the moment.
The third tie could be a cracker featuring another Scot Gary Anderson against Dutchman Michael van Gerwen. All of Ando's matches have gone the distance this season so again I'd speculate on the draw at 5-1 with Betway.
Phil Taylor has won two of his last three but remains in relegation trouble. He can help his cause by seeing off Wes Newton but is just 4-9 at Betway.
Unbeaten rookie Peter Wright should round off the night by beating Raymond van Barneveld and looks a good shout at 6-5 with Betway.

Sorry for my absence last night just felt like games weren’t to my liking and took the night off betting in general.
Tampa bay have been up popping up with some key wins of late, I fancy them again here tonight just because they’ve been playing well, they’ve the upper hand in this fixture winning the previous two whilst also being 5-3-2 in the last 10, If you’re looking at those figures from outside of a hockey perspective they’re really 7-3 in the last 10, the two stands for OT wins. Ottawa are 2-6-2 in there last 10 and have an average record 29-28-13 whilst the 13 OT wins may stick out, in the scheme of things they’re 12th in the conference, Tampa simply has too much class in my eyes. Money line or look for over 5.5 goals.
PENGUINS (45-19-4) at RED WINGS (31-24-13)
If the Redwings wasn’t so injury depleted, this would be a very hard game to call, however with the Penguins coming off a win, and needing a win to keep pace with my Bruins if they want the #1 spot in the conference they need to win here tonight, I can’t overlook the problems the Redwings have and I’m thinking a Pittsburgh win, usually the road record and home record of both teams would play a factor but Redwings have only been 14-11-9 at home whilst Penguins have been 20-14-2 on the road, Penguins seem score on average around 3.07 goals a game whilst the Redwings only score 2.53 so I think the Penguins have this one.
I’ll try add more games later, but the rest of the selection to me is a bit here and there, I feel like they can go either way that’s what my gut is telling me, so I’ve provided you with for now the ones I feel are most likely to bank.
Afternoon Guys, the biggest live darts crowd is set for Leeds tonight with around 12,000 expected to be in the arena for the action.
Chisnall v Whitlock
It is a must win for Whitlock, if he hopes to avoid relegation in three weeks time. A win here will move him level with Chizzy, so this could be a nervy game. Chisnall will throw first, and Whitlock as been broken early every week if Chisnall does the same it will be a long road back. If pushed I would lean to Chisnall but I will be on O6.5 maximums at evens William Hill. Chisnall would have covered the line on his own twice already this season so if he is slightly off, Whitlock may only be required to hit a couple to land the bet.

The next match is Thornton v Lewis, and although Thornton has a little breathing space in the league remember he has played a game more than his rivals. Lewis is in fine form at present, he followed up is draw with MVG last week by coming from behind to stun Anderson. In between he picked up the UK open, he is playing with confidence, I think he will edge this at 5/6 William Hill. Thornton can cover his 180s line which is set at 3.5, it is 6/5 Various

The match of the night is third on the card with Anderson facing Van Gerwen, both are in fine form and both won in Barnsley at the weekend so come into this in fine form. O6.5 match 180s looks really good at 10/11 Skybet, these two are heavy scorers and the pace will suit both men. I think they could hit double figures so seven is well within reach.

Wes Newton is the next man to try and beat the Taylor, who still is missing doubles but picked up a vital win over Chisnall last week. He is still not playing well enough for me to touch him at odds on. The bet I like here is for Wes to cover his 180 line at 3.5, he hit 5 last week against MVG and six against Lewis before that. If he hopes to get anything out the game he needs to bring his scoring game and at 11/8 Betvictor is a bet I am taking.

The final match of the night sees league leader Peter Wright face Barneveld. Barney is always hard to predict and whilst Wright is having a dream season I think Barney may run him close. It looks a potential draw or 7-5 either way so I am taking both men to win 5 legs at 11/10 Betway. The 180 line is O5.5 and whilst neither are as consistent as a MVG or Anderson I think it is represented in the odds of 13/10 Bwin. I will be having a speculative punt the last game sees a few maximums.

NBA:
I like Houston (1/3) today vs. Minnesota Timberwolves, despite Howard not playing for the Rockets today, Houston is seeking its longest winning streak at home where it is (27-7) this season, Houston is chasing the Clippers for the 4th spot in the west and is two days rested. The timberwolves on the other hand played yesterday a very difficult win over Dallas in overtime, they should be tired and are playing for nothing, being way behind a playoff spot.

On a much riskier bet I could go with the Wizards to win against the Blazers on the road which wont play Lamarcus Aldrigde, they´re 2.25 to win and the Blazers have lost 5 of the last 6.

I dont like the Warriors vs. Bucks. And I also dont like Cleveland against the Thunder. Since Cleveland doesnt have its two top players Deng and Irving for this match, the OKC coach has decided to rest his star Westbrook. BUT, despite OKC being too strong for them only for Durant, bear in mind that this same Cleveland almost beat Lebron James’s Miami Heat two days ago. Cleveland is fighting for a spot in the East while OKC is already qualified for the playoffs.

Wouldn’t be right if I didn’t put something up for one of the biggest rivalries that exists in world sport. India meet Pakistan in the twenty 20 World Cup tomorrow. When it comes to world cups two things that spring to the fore stats wise. India have always beaten Pakistan in world cups t20 or 50 overs (same again tomorrow please lads!) Secondly one man hits great form in world cups and that’s all rounder Yuvraj Singh. After battling back from cancer this awesome player has sill very much got it as shown by being the most expensive player at the recent IPL auction. He has the ability to win a game on his own with his tremendous batting (hit 6 sixes in an over against Stuart Broad in the same tournament in 2007) and also takes crucial wickets. In 34 international t20 matches he has won 7 man of the match awards, the most by any India player. The odds reflect the chances as anything can happen in this format but I’m on it small stakes. Bruins v Avalanche
The Boston Bruins have upped their winning streak to 10 games. On Friday, they’ll get a tough test from a top-notch Western Conference foe when they visit the Colorado Avalanche, who are only five points worse than the Bruins in the NHL standings. Bruins are on cruise control these days. They’ve ripped off 10 straight wins and have ascended to the point where they are the clear-cut best team in the Eastern Conference. They’ve allowed just 15 goals in those 10 contests while scoring a whopping 41 themselves. That means they’ve outscored their opponents by a margin of 2.6 goals during this incredible winning streak. The Avs have lost three of four overall with their goaltending being the main concern. They’ve allowed 20 goals in those contests. With the Bruins offense still rolling and with a small price tag on this line, I’ll take a small shot with the B’s – especially since they’re 5-2 when on the road with a total of 5.5.

The Predators’ season has all but come to an end. The return of Pekka Rinne has not helped them as they’ve lost three straight and 10 of 14. In their last three losses, they’ve been outscored 11-2.
They’re on a western Canadian road trip and this will be their third game in four nights. Their stop in Calgary won’t be a cakewalk by any stretch of the imagination as the Flames have won three of four. They’ve been a competitive team since mid-January, going 12-7-0 in the process. They’re the better choice here.

Alty, they must have been poached – maybe signed for the Harlem Globetrotters. Rusty I know went in a huff after my Parma ham intro last weekend which was totally harmless but he actually emailed me to complain. Obviously I gave him short shrift.
To an extent I hope he has been poached by the Globetrotters, as well as the others then atleast they are all ok. I’ve got a love for NBA and NHL thanks to this thread and the tipsters.
