IT wasn't the greatest of Saturdays but it could have been worse. Burnley landed my Super Single at 6-4 but my accumulators fell short on a day I posted fewer bets than usual.
Greg and Jordan also posted winners with Greg's over 2.5 goals treble paying 5-1 and Jordan on Monchengladbach's Raffaele to score.
Desmond's 2+ double was a loser but his members' only both to score double and over 2.5 goals treble came in at 6-4 and 11-2.
And also for members Scott Allot needs Bruges to score 2+ on Sunday for his Euro treble.
Short-priced favourites such as Man City, Hull, Northampton will have let a lot of people down but strangely all the bets I had on my Super Single shortlist came in but I didn't get a chance to post it.
They included Yeovil who were on my homes, Hearts who were on my aways in today's Record and tipped on the Scottish preview, Leigh Griffiths to score first for Celtic and Romelu Lukaku to score.
It's another busy Sunday with the only game in Scotland the League Cup Final between Hibs and Ross County and picking a winner is almost a flick of the coin. I've posted a full preview and Greg has also touched on this game.
In the FA Cup it's holders Arsenal at home to Watford and I fancy West Ham to at least draw at Man United but they'll be well backed to win as long as they go full strength.
Almost every acca in the land will feature Spurs at Aston Villa in the Premier League. It's a must-win game ahead of Leicester v Newcastle on Monday and with Villa losing their last four by an aggregate of 15-2 it should be Spurs by at least two.
My Super Single is on Spurs -1 AH at 4-5 with BetVictor and McBookie. The straight -1 is 7-5 at Paddy Power.
Spurs are also on what was going to be a Top Treble with Dortmund and Napoli but I've aded Ajax to bump up the odds and all four should win and maybe by at least two.
Napoli are away to a Palermo side in terrible form and have netted two goals in six of their last seven against the Sicilians. They should have the firepower to notch the win.
Dortmund easily beat a weakened Spurs in midweek and should follow up against a Mainz outfit who have beaten by exactly two goals on their last three trips to the Westfalen.
Ajax have hit form with 11 goals in three games and have netted 10 in their last three at home to NEC so should be an absolute banker.

Wolves won 2-0 at St Andrews earlier on in the season but it’s important to note that Wolves have a much changed side from that day. Very interesting to see that there will be a maximum of four players who played that day who may play today. Players have either left or are injured. Blues on the other hand have will have a not so changed team that day. Throughout this season I’ve always been inclined to back against Wolves as quite frankly we are a shambles.

Kei got the job done overnight for Columbus Crew so that was both scorers @ EVS and 6/5 yesterday.
Tricky card today and without overlooking much I’m sticking with the Premier League. Spurs showed just how much they were bothered about the Europa League with the team they put out on Thursday which resulted in a 3-0 loss in Dortmund and it’ll be tough to turn that tie around. Dembele, Lamela and Kane all played less than 25 minutes with Dele Alli suspended and now come in fresh to face a Villa side who are albeit but relegated and were destroyed in the second half by Manchester City last weekend, with Sergio Aguero only failing a second half hat-trick from a missed penalty. Harry Kane leads the Spurs scorers with 17 and scored in the reverse fixture and has scored in two of his last three away games in the Premier League. Again not the best market out there today but with little time and my crystal ball unable to predict what United will do against West Ham, I’ll be happy to stick with Kane.

Last week I thought Giovinco was overpriced and he happily slid a penalty in against the NYRB in a 2-0 win despite being underdogs. Tonight they are still in New York and this time against a side that had the worst home record in the MLS and conceded 6 more goals than anyone else. NYCFC scored twice in every game against Toronto last season, and while they could again, I’d be worried about the clean sheet Toronto kept last week against the NYRB. There was a 4-4 here last season with Giovinco scoring a first half hat-trick (and missing a penalty in the same half) and with Altidore a doubt I’m going to be on him again.

Dirk Gil Vicente are pretty strong especially at home and only failed to score in one home game this season and Guimaraes average 2 goals conceded away from home. I reckon they play at altitude. However so do a few other teams. The other teams usually win most of their home games APART from the ones against fellow high altituders..

A truly rancid and frustrating day today… Club Brugge were woeful with nothing of note happening until the 70th minute in the match. Unfortunately these type of days have to happen but I’m even more determined to go again tomorrow to put it straight. Well done to all winners today.
