EVERY Saturday William Hill's Owen Scott and McBookie's Paul Petrie do battle in the junior football challenge and their back after a festive break.
The dynamic duo will be putting up trebles every weekend and Owen leads the way with winnings of £206.48 to Paul's £95.54. Last week both were beaten by Troon.
For those who don't know anything about junior football the level of the top clubs is equivalent or in some cases better than Scottish League 2 outfits and we can gauge that easier now with the champions of the three regions – North, East and West – qualifying to play in the
William Hill Scottish Cup along with the Junior Cup winners.
The term “junior” has nothing to do with players' ages and it often confuses people outside Scotland. Some of the top clubs such as Auchinleck, Hurlford, Irvine Meadow and Linlithgow pay bigger wages than most League 1 and League 2 teams and therefore attract players who could be plying their trade at a higher level.
McBookie list all games online and take bets on every junior match while
William Hill only take bets in shops. Here are this weekend's tips from Owen and Paul.
Owen writes: It's quarter-final day in the Scottish Junior Cup and I can see all four matches going either way but I'm going to stick my neck out and choose my treble from these ties.
I'll start with Kilwinning at 6-5 at home to Camelon. The Buffs put Linlithgow out in the last round and are the only non top-flight team left but I think they can ensure all the semi-finalists are from the West Region.
Beith at evens is my next pick. The Beith management team hail from Barrhead which adds a bit of spice to this tie. I think home advantage will help Beith here and ensure another Ayrshire club are in the last four.
To complete the treble I'm on Pollok at 5-6 at home to Kilbirnie. Again I'm taking Pollok due to home advantage in what will be a tight game.

Paul writes: It is the quarter-final of the Scottish Junior Cup and we have 28 markets on all four games including first scorer. And remember for every £5 bet on the Scottish Cup you get entered into a draw to win hospitality to the Final.
First up I am backing Kilwinning to beat Camelon at 11-8. We really expected this game to be against Kelty Hearts so you have to respect Camelon after their fantastic victory. However, Kilwinning raised their game when they met Linlithgow in the previous round and a similar performance will see them through.
Next I am backing Kilbirnie at 23-10. I expected these odds to be slightly closer but our compiler really likes Pollok. However, at the odds I am prepared to take a chance on Kilbirnie. They have made a lot of good signings in the hope of lifting the big one and I know their fans are quietly confident.
Finally, I am taking Auchinleck to beat Hurlford at evens. It has been a disappointing season for Talbot but I am hoping they finally step up to the plate and put a marker down for the season. The league game was a 4-3 thriller but I expect this to be a lot tighter and can see the away side sneaking a win.

That was Linlithgows worst game of season apparently at Kilwinning, Auckinleck, Barca Dortmund to win the bug cups would be around 10/1 for the treble and looks a decent bet
23/1+, just stuck a wee fiver on it for £121+
