THE battle of the junior tipsters continues today and I wonder who'll be first to get a line up?
Owen Scott says: All the Scottish Cup money has been on favourites Pollok, Linlithgow and Irvine Meadow. I thought about breaking my duck in the first round today by taking the likes of 1-20 Kilbirnie, 1-33 Irvine Meadow and 1-14 Whitburn but that would be cheating.
This week I'll start in the Scottish Cup and take giants Pollok who are evens away to Camelon.
Pollok are in the process of rebuilding under new management this season whereas the Camelon gaffers quit the other week and have got off to a terrible start in the league.
Next up I predict a shock in the cup and I'm taking Larkhall who are 15-8 to beat Fauldhouse at home. Both sides' main aim this season is promotion but I feel the Lanarkshire side can win this tie.
Finally, I'm taking Kelty at 11-10 to win the Fife derby when they entertain Glenrothes. The treble pays 11-1.
The money I raised last season, just under £500, will be presented to Girvan striker Darren Mitchell at a benefit match for him at Hamilton Park tomorrow (2.0). Girvan will face a Cumnock/Auchinleck select after Mitchell's career was ended by a serious injury.
Paul Petrie writes: I am sticking to the Scottish Cup today to hopefully get my first line up.
I'm starting off with Beith to beat Oakley at odds of 2-5. Beith may have bigger fish to fry in the senior Scottish Cup but will still want a good run in their own version
I am sticking with another club involved in the senior competition and going for Bo'ness to beat Dundee Violet at 2-11. They were superb last week and although this is a potential banana skin I think they will win.
Finally, I am taking Armadale to beat Hall Russell at 2-7. The North region isn't as strong as the East and West so I would be surprised if there is a shock.
Treble pays just over evens – I want to get off the mark.
