THE battle between junior tipsters Owen Scott and Paul Petrie continues today.

McBookie.com's Paul has won £113.75 so far while William Hill's Owen is still to break his duck. Today both focus on the Scottish Junior Cup and both predict Sauchie at a big price.

Owen Scott writes:

It's Emirates Scottish Junior Cup second-round day and many clubs will be hoping to cause a surprise.

Maybe I’ll send shockwaves throughout the country by picking three winners.

It's difficult to see the likes of Fraserburgh, Luncarty, Newmains and Scone win at double-figure odds and on the outrights all the money has been for Auchinleck Talbot at 12-1 before their trip to Dundonald. Irvine Meadow remain 8-1 favourites followed by holders Linlithgow at 9-1.

Last season's league champions Beith and Bo’ness join Auchinleck on 12-1 with Lochee Utd and Pollok 16-1.

Other notable odds are Bathgate 20-1, Clydebank 25-1 and Sunnybank, who won away at Albion Rovers last week in the senior Scottish Cup, 100-1.

I’ll start this week by going against a side that has conceded 20 goals in their last two games and take Kilwinning at 1-1 away to Vale of Clyde. The Buffs are unbeaten in their last four and are up against a side whose confidence will be rock bottom just now.

Some might be surprised by my next choice as I take Maryhill at 4-5 at home to North side Glentanar. Maryhill are bottom of the Central Second Division but finally got their first win of the season last week and have added to their squad.

Finally I’m going for a major shock at Carnoustie and taking Sauchie at 11-4. The Gowfers have been getting some good results in the Premier League and currently sits second but Sauchie have been scoring goals for fun and will be confident of a shock this week.

OWEN'S TREBLE

  • Kilwinning 1-1
  • Maryhill 4-5
  • Sauchie 11-4

Paul Petrie writes:

It's Scottish Cup weekend so I am sticking with those games to try and get my treble up.

First up are Lanark at home to Ballingry (4-7). Home advantage is critical and although it won't be an easy game it is one of the best odds-on prices for a home team in the competition.

Second up is Haddington against Dufftown (1-3). In no way is this a glamour tie and it is a long journey but the North Region is very poor so at the short odds it should come up trumps.

Finally, I am going for a shock in the Carnoustie v Sauchie game. Sauchie haven't lost this season so will be full of confidence and although Carnoustie should win I think it is worth the risk at 12-5.

Remember you can do singles with McBookie so if you fancy any shocks then we are the place to bet.

PAUL'S TREBLE

  • Lanark 4-7
  • Dufftown 1-3
  • Sauchie 12-5
