HEATHER WATSON avoided making it a clean sweep of failure for Britain's women on day one of Wimbledon and she resumes against Caroline Garcia today in a final-set decider.
Watson is out to 23-20 at Betfair to make round two while her French opponent is 4-5 at Unibet. Another home favourite, Laura Robson, is badly short of match practice after a long injury lay-off and is 9-5 at BetVictor to beat Evgeniya Rodina, the Russian world No.101 who is 9-20 at BetVictor.
Eugenie Bouchard has been playing so badly in recent months she could've passed for a Brit but she was runner-up at Wimbledon last year and is hoping to recapture that form. She is 3-10 at Stan James to see off the world No.117 Ying-Ying Duan who Boylesports make a 29-10 shot.

Not going to pretend I know exactly what’s going to happen here, but Gubis is having a rotten year, and grass is not a surface where he will feel confident about turning his fortunes round. He did beat Stakhovsky and avid humiliation at Federers hands last week, and that’s keeping me from upping my stake on Rosol, but th and big Czech should be the more confident and comfortable of the two, having acquited himself so well having enjoyed the highlight of his career here against Nadal. Really fancy hull kr tonight they got a really exciting team and been getting good results of late vs Warrington and widnes recently. Salford on the other hand are in turmoil players quitting on them rangi chase having fill in at full back. The handicap for me is too low and is due to fact Salford played well at my wigan boys last week.
