THERE was a boost for British women's tennis on Tuesday as Johanna Konta achieved the biggest win of her career and Heather Watson joined her in round three at Eastbourne.

Konta's victory over Ekaterina Makarova was her first against a player in the world's top 10 and her reward is a clash with 14th seed Garbine Muguruza today.

The British No.2 is 6-4 at Paddy Power to grab another confidence-building win while Venezuelan-Spaniard Muguruza is 8-13 at Boylesports and Sportingbet.

Also in Eastbourne action are the second and third title favourites with Agnieszka Radwanska 10-11 at Boylesports in her battle with Karolina Pliskova (evens, bet365).

There's also plenty of men's action from Nottingham including the likes of Gilles Simon, Sam Querrey and Marcos Baghdatis, who knocked out top seed David Ferrer yesterday.

Elsewhere it's a pretty quiet day of sport with a cricket ODI between India and Bangladesh and Major League Baseball on the agenda.

Good luck with your bets and let's hear your tips and chat.

Pegula was a void bet in the end, although I thought after 1 set if someone retired it still counted. Even so, if both had come through it should have been 2.02 TRD2. Not sure how you got 1.55?

    Mens Wimbledon Qualifiers

Based purely on resaerch of form and rankings.

T Ito to defeat H Moriya
P-H Mathieu to defeat J Reister
I Dodig to defeat A Rublev

    Treble..just over evens bet365.

  6. Baggio 3 years ago

Beat me to Mr W. Lettuce

    Mens Wimbledon Qualifier Double:

    ITO Vs. Myriah
    ZOPP Vs. Robert

Two picks from my first round treble. ITO playing felkow countryman with good recent H2H form. Zopp is playing over 300 places in rankings (which doesn’t mean much)and beat his last opponent well. Good price for Zopp.

Just over evens @ Bet 365

    Good look Baggio looks solid.

    11am Eastbourne

Cibulkova 2-0 v Pironkova 3/1 William Hill NB

    Bouchard 2-0 v Bencic 3/1 Boylesports

Not much look on the 2-0 yesterday or over weekend but hoping to get back on track today

Dennis Istomin 2-0 v Stakhovsky 13/5 Sportingbet Nap

win trixie on above also with boylesports

  9. Juan 3 years ago

i was considering a treble of Bencic Muguruza and Stephens today at around 3/1 – good win for Bencic yesterday over Keys and although Bouchard won yesterday her overall form this year is shocking. Any thoughts on this one AD or anyone else?

  10. Baggio 3 years ago

Thanks Brah! Might have a dabble on your treble. Ito to get us off to a good start.

  12. Felix 3 years ago

Juan, Riske basically just got overpowered. Her forehand couldn’t match up. Bouchard still made errors but was too strong as she was just smashing the balls off Riske’s forehand.

  13. Snurky 3 years ago

Sorry my first post made no sence

The betting system I use is based on my own selections . . Starting pot 60 aim 200 . I do thing over 30 days , once profits stops bank start again

    10 point wagered = nb
    20 points wagered = nap

I always do a small cover bet, because tennis is so unpredictable at times.

The selection today is over priced . . Head to heads she’s won 8-9 times , all convincing wins. Yes the loss was on grass. But the way the weather is today the grass will b hard so looks all set for a nice win .

I’m sorry if I was vague in first post, have a little one who’s teething. So had little time to post last night .

  14. Snurky 3 years ago

As for Bouchard , I would stay away. Yes she’s talented , but has not been the same since the knee injury. I view her as a player to watch next year. ( just a personal opinion)

  15. delmar44 3 years ago

Someone should tell Konta she’s not British and that applies to that Somalian as well. You are either a cat or a dog and she’s Australian!

  16. Baggio 3 years ago

Ito looking shaky in the first set!!

  17. Felix 3 years ago

    Bye Bouchard. Meltdown complete

turkey women to win today @ evens

also fancy madrid to win as the underdog.

    thoughts? (looks at hunter)

  19. Juan 3 years ago

Cheers Felix – i was wondering why so many had tipped Bouchard after such a bad year!

  20. Felix 3 years ago

    And she’s just retired.

Must have had a Saki. Ito back in it with a break.

    Istomin brings home the 2-0 @ 13/5

    of the other two 2-0 bets on the WTA matches;

one lost and one void & the trixe became a double which lost as only Istomin won

Profit at any rate on the day – so onwards and may have to focus on ATP due to the erratic nature of women 0r should that be womens tennis ;-)

  25. Dazzler 3 years ago

    Tonight’s MLB bets-
    Phillies @ Yankees

Not sure why Yankees are favourites here. Yankees starter Nova returning from a 14 month lay off, while the Phillies are looking for the sweep.

    Afternoon gents

    * Chicago Sky HT/FT @ 4/5

Mentioned at the start of the season to back against the dream on the spread and it has gone even better than expected so far , It is now 8 games played with 6 winning and 2 losing against the spread wich is good profit :), I’m not taking the spread on this one though I’ve bet the HT/FT instead of the – 7.5 on the sky as might be a bit to much to ask for and the reason why I’m posting and changing the spread to the double result for this game , the spread still is coverable of course but this is the safer option in my opinion

Afternoon mate. How was Ibiza? Am I right in saying its the NBA draft tonight?

  29. Picksix 3 years ago

    2015 Draft Bet

    * Emanuel Mudiay draft position 5th pick or lower @ 8/11

If all goes to plan he should be the 5th pick in the draft, it’s touching cloth a bit as he should be exactly 5th but barring any trades should be a sure bet

  30. Picksix 3 years ago

All good buddy , amazing mate first time I been there it was immense ,

Hope you have been carrying on winning without any hoops and those warriors winnings have been spent wisely ;)

Just a couple months to go til the NFL now mate can’t wait

Draft is on Tomorow night mate

  34. Jordan 3 years ago

Picksix GSW winnings have been partly spent on a couple nights in a local fancy golf resort with the Mrs so the new 4K tv will have to wait haha, been doing ok on the footy, not brilliant but in profit which is all that counts.

Haven’t been to Ibiza myself but have been to Kavos and that was enough for me. Too many English which is what I want to get away from when I go away. Party islands no good for me mate. Weekend in Amsterdam will suffice ;)

    • the watcher 3 years ago

Watch out for the mice on the stairs if you go to a windmill.

  35. Picksix 3 years ago

Dazzler it could yet be both mate haha

Jordan got mine still in my account, was buzzing coming back seing they won 4-2 aswell as I had a large stake on the -1.5 series handicap aswell as the 7/2 outright winning I had no idea of the results until I came home

good to hear , been doing well myself mate a few things I fancy coming up over the weekend and then it looks like a break on the cards for me after that

Haha it takes a lot out of you going there mate although must be said Amsterdam is probably my favourite place on earth

Cycling: Tour de France 2015 (starts 4th July)

The bookies are starting to put up markets and this one is looking very good:

FROOME to beat Nibali in general classification
QUINTANA to win the young rider classification

    Double @ 2.13 with 888 / uni-bet

I think it will be Quintana vs Froome in this tour. I think Nibali will have to let Froome go in the 2nd or 3rd week when there are loads of summit finishes. I can see Quintana end up on the podium and with the other youngsters being far behind his level he should be the best youngster in the race.

    Hi all,

For anybody interested I’m going to be starting something new myself this week. Every day im going to be doing an extremely short priced favourite acca across sports which pays around EVS. Each day I will post one of these for a £20 stake with the aim of landing 4/7 a week to return a profit…..

It’s a long tedious process but I’m bored of betting big and want to try and return a steady profit , some may prefer higher stakes, some lower….

As I say if you want big returns at big prices this isn’t for you I will be doing accas featuring 1/2-1/12 shots. I know people will disagree and say what’s the point to back at such short odds but as long as I can land 4/7 a week I’ll be happy….. I’ll keep a rolling balance….

Nobody may be interested but I’ll post the tip daily if anybody fancies the featured acca from time to time !

  41. Jaseos 3 years ago

For anyone interested, Estrada is taking a perfect game into the 8th inning for Toronto with 6 more outs to get. This means he has retired 21 batters in a row and needs 27 in total. It’s shown live on bet365 inplay

  42. Jaseos 3 years ago

Jinxed it… infield single with just 5 remaining!!!
