Wow, just seen the Reds game after I ASSURED everyone that it was an easy Pirates win… game finished 15-5 to the Reds!! Pretty much everything I predicted about the game was off; Burnett was useless, Holmberg was decent and the Reds completely out-played them.
It’s further proof that betting on underdogs is the way to go. I’m normally pretty spot on when I make a prediction on the Reds but baseball can be so unpredictable at times.
A fine performance from Paire…..avoided him all week and back him when he really should win and this is the result!

Afternoon Guys Leeds Rhinos v ST Helens
The top two sides in Super League battle it out for a place at Wembley in what promises to be a cracking game at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington. The bookies make this a pick em with Leeds 4/6 favourites and minus -2 on the handicap.
Saints will have star man James Roby and forward McCarthy-Scarsbrook back after being rested last week, while Leeds are pretty much at full strength with Stevie Ward missing out through injury.
I fancy Leeds to win this tonight. They have beaten Saints twice this season already winning easily 41-16 and 46-18 and while I expect Saints to be a lot better tonight the fact is Leeds have the beast backline in Super league, they have exposed Saints edge defence twice this season with 11 tries coming from the rhinos back line and if Leeds have their off load game firing tonight it will be too much fire power for saints to withstand.
Leeds are aiming to make the final for the fifth time in six years and I think they can do it. Leeds -2 is 5/6 at William Hill. I think the winning margin will be 1-12pts that pays 2/1 various if you don’t fancy the handicap.
In the try scorer market you can take your pick of any of the Leeds backline but I have plumped for Tom Briscoe, who made his return from a 4 month layoff to grab a hat-trick last Sunday against Catalan. He as 7 in 6 games now, and he could expose Saints edge defence. During his absence Ash Handley replaced him on the wing and scored a hat-trick in both games, I am putting Briscoe up, but if coach Brian McDermott decides to go with Handley I will be on him at 5/4 Skybet. I personally think Briscoe will get the nod but if your having a bet, it is best to wait for the teams. Briscoe is evens at Ladbrokes
For Saints I am taking Jordan Turner he has scored 15 tries in super league and he scored in the previous round against Widnes. He also has a habit of scoring against Leeds with 3 tries in his last 2 games. He is 7/4 Ladbrokes.
A tight game is expected being a semi final and while I think Leeds will hit a purple patch a value bet I like is their to be a drop goal. The one pointer could be a factor is a team is 6pts or 12pts up just two make their opponents task even harder, 2 of the last 3 meetings have seen a drop goal and at 5/2 Ladbrokes it looks a decent bet.
Those are my main bets but anyone looking for a big return for a small layout should have a look at the man of the match award. I like to leave the favourites out and go for a big priced player and the two that I like are Zak Hardaker and Jamie Peacock. Hardaker for me is the best full back in Super league, he will be returning a lot of balls back, as the speed to get through any gaps, scores and creates tries and is worth a look at 12/1 Various.
Jamie Peacock may get the sentimental vote from his pals at the BBC who he does some work for. He was rested last week ready for this game and in a tight game the big forward may get it. He is retiring at the end of the season so its his last chance to get to Wembley so he will be holding nothing back. As I say he may just get a sentimental nod and at 22/1 Stan James could be worth a few quid for interest.

At the risk of being completely taken to pieces but Kudla this week, I’m going to back Sela in play @ just under 4/1. If sela stops serve volleying on big points, and instead tries to draw errors from the baseline, he has a great chance. Kudla needs to make a lot of first serves, If that happens he will probably win. If it doesn’t, edge goes to Sela in my very humble opinion.
Hah Jesus h Christ. Kudla must have some kryptonite hidden o him. Sela blasts five unforcedes long in 2 games from 15-30 and goes a break down.
