PHIL TAYLOR is the new title favourite at the World Matchplay darts after rolling back the years with a stunning destruction of world No.1 Michael van Gerwen in the quarter-finals.

The Power shocked two-times reigning champ MVG 16-6 and is now 6-4 at Sportingbet to land the title for the 16th time.

Taylor is in semi-final action tonight and he's 2-5 at Betfair to make it past Adrian Lewis, the 44-19 underdog at Marathonbet.

In the other last-four clash it's Peter Wright – second favourite for glory at 15-8 with Betfred – chalked up at 6-13 by Unibet to KO Daryl Gurney, who is 83-41 at Marathonbet.

There's plenty more Saturday sporting highlights including cricket, F1 and boxing so as usual feel free to add your tips and chat.

Haven’t been this excited for a Saturday night of fights in a long time. STACKED UFC card and what could be a fight of the year candidate (I think) between undefeated Mikey Garcia and Adrian Broner. Without a long winded write up, regulars already know I know a fair deal as I usually only post UFC/Boxing bets.

    Adrian Broner to win 2/1
Small stakes on Broner by KO/TKO 6/1

    UFC 214:

Renan Barao to win on points 7/4 *NB*

Lamas to win on points 21/10

Jimi Manuwa to win by KO/TKO 10/11

Cris Cyborg to win by KO/TKO in round number two 5/1

Cerrone to win on points 4/1

Daniel Cormier to win on points (risky but I really want to see him take this so what the hell) 9/2

Tyron Woodley to win by KO/TKO 10/11 *NAP*

What’s your thoughts on the Jarrel ‘big baby’ Miller fight?

10 rounder and a step up in class so could see it going the full distance for nice odds, decision for Miller 10/3 bet365.
      He is weighing in @290+lbs.

I don’t usually like betting on heavyweight bouts @drogers but if I was to make a pick I would side with Washington by KO here. More experienced boxer, longer reach, and the odds are more appealing. Could go either way it’s a real 50/50 fight!
