My only other bet was Top Treble that fell at the first hurdle as Aberdeen lost 1-0 to Fola Esch. For a side who say they have serious ambitions of challenge for the Scottish Premiership title this was a shocker.
Okay the Dons edged through 3-2 on aggregate but really should be doing better even this early in the season.
There were plenty of Europa League surprises if anyone needed a reminder to play it for low stakes in the early qualifying rounds.
My focus on Friday will be writing a Euro 2016 final preview for Saturday's Daily Record so there are unlikely to be any more tips from me bar the Super Single. There are loads of friendlies I tend to avoid and a few League of Ireland games among others.

As a man who backed Germany before the tournament Im naturally disappointed they are out after playing for me their best performance of the tournament tonight. The penalty given was very contentious and for me wasn’t a penalty and its one of them if its not your night its not your night. Does annoy me when well paid pundits such as Alan Shearer come out with comments where apparently France outplayed Germany. Germany did everything right tonight but just lacked that cutting edge and in the end with Muller not turning up lacked a prolific goalscorer. All the best to France though they did a number on Germany and capitalised on that defensive error to kill the game off and I really hope they beat Portugal in the final.
