On Sunday it's all about the Euro 2016 final and I've posted a separate preview on France v Portugal. I've be on France's side all the way and I'm taking them to win in 90 minutes as the Super Single.
There were some Europa League shocks in midweek and when I saw Stabaek crashing out 1-0 at home to Welsh minnows Connah's Quay after drawing 0-0 away I vowed to consider backing against them this weekend.
It was a shocker but maybe not a huge surprise when you look at the Norwegian table and see a side sitting second bottom and having failed to net in six of their last seven.

@hullshakergreat tipping last night, made me some (mo) ?
About a week ago, I suggested those looking for a bit of Tour De France action should pay close attention to Chris Froome but to drop on him before the mountain stages start. I managed to find a 7/5 with one bookie on oddschecker and stage 8 was a thriller !!! Well worth watching the last 17km ( the 15km descent and 2km flat finish ).
On the crest of the hill Froome made his move. I think he was over 5 mins down on the leader a day or so back but hitting 90kmh in his very unorthodox riding position opened up a 600m+ lead on the chasing pack, eventually he won the stage by 13 seconds + getting 10 seconds bonus for winning.
He also had his gearing changed in favour of some high speed riding which with his new riding position, he cut through that air. I’m guessing sitting on a crossbar ahead of the seat would ruin his wedding tackle , but who really cares, he’s eyeing up another Tour De France win.
They’re like buses, you wait 109 years for one and then you get 3 British winners in the last 4 years, and Froome is going for glory with his 3rd. Bradley Wiggins?? Who’s he?
A bit like Wimbledon.

Prices tumbling for Portugal and although I understand why and sincerely hope the French do a job on them, it leaves great value for anyone backing the Portugeuse to make some impact.
For me, France are, and have been, the far superior side but any side with Ronaldo (I personally can’t stand him but hell of a player) in is to be ignored at your peril…especially with a still suspect French defensive set-up.

Nothing out of the ordinary here, just jumping on the French bandwagon. I like the price of this handicap as it returns half of your stake in the event of a draw. Hopefully France can win inside 90 minutes but there is a little safety net there if they don’t. Of course, the Portuguese could win inside 90 themselves, but hopefully that’s not in the script tonight. France simply look the better team – on paper, and on my television screen. Here’s hoping!
Hi gents. Still having a stinker and my limit has been reached for July but I’m hoping I’m on to something here. Obviously its the Euro Final tonight and with Clattenburg in charge I fancy this to land. He has dished out 13 yellows in his three games officiated in the competition, and only 1 has been shown in the first half. A lot on the line so it should be quite tight in the opening half hour or so and I don’t fancy Clattenburg to spoil the party with willy-nilly card flailing early. Obviously this is all dependent on how the game pans out but decent price in my eyes.

I do like a flutter on the cards market and I know that sods law says when all the stats stack up for a cardfest, the ref decided to grow a thick skin. Early cards ( first half ) is always less likely than a 2nd half flurry, but it all decides on how feisty it gets and if the ref needs to reel the match in and nip silly stuff in the bud early on, then he’ll do it to control the match. ( I was taught that on my ref’s course moons ago ).
Ronaldo will get fouled which should see some cards but Portugal have some players like nani that usually get in amongst the cards, but both sides need to pitch in for the overs cards to come good.
