I DON'T know who felt sicker on Thursday night – myself or Greg Browning.
My Super Single and his nap were both leading before losing 3-2. I was on Gillingham not to lose at Wigan and Greg backed Eibar to beat Las Palmas.
Actually I probably felt worse because three times I went to cover the bet – twice I missed out because the market was suspended and on third occasion I decided to let it run in the hope Gillingham would score or at least not concede again.
After the arguments about covering on Wednesday last night's results have convinced it's the way to go – and remember I try to cover the stake so it's small stakes and Wigan must have been about 20-1 when they trailed 2-0.
Same thing happened to me with Motherwell against Hamilton and it seems the odds or the gods are against me this month. I hope to still turn it around starting tonight with the Scottish Cup clash between St Mirren and Partick Thistle.
I've posted a full preview of the tie and the key stat is the fact Saints have won just one home game in all competitions this season. Alex Rae's been in charge for just three games but even he lost at St Mirren Park while both his away matches were victories.
Partick's odds to win are a little short at 4-6 so for the Super Single I'm on the Jags -1 AH at 11-10 with bet365.
Elsewhere Liverpool are in FA Cup action at Exeter three days after battling to a 1-0 Capital One Cup semi-final win at Stoke.
Jurgen Klopp has huge injury problems and is likely to rotate anyway but Liverpool should be strong enough for a mid-table League Two side. They still look worth taking at 1-2 with bet365. Anyone fancies a shock can have Exeter at 15-2 with sportingbet.
Runaway French leaders PSG are in action at home to a Bastia side they've beaten in nine of their last 10 meetings. They won 2-0 away in October and have covered the handicap in all three of the recent clashes between the sides in the capital.
It's a difficult to find value though with PSG a best 1-10 at bet365 and 1-3 minus one goal. A possibility is over 2.5 PSG goals at 4-6 with Coral.
There's not much else on the go bar French lower-league matches and some friendlies. My focus is now on the weekend matches but on the assumption Christian Benteke will start for Liverpool I'm putting up an anytime scorer double with PSG's Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Been loving the corner betting recently and there are 2 games I like for corners today and they come in the games between Psg and Liverpool …
There’s often loads of corners when you come and play at the home of Psg. Last home game saw a whooping 18 corners in the whole match vs st etiene ,which u can get at the odds of 50/1 for 17+ if u think history will repeat itself..I have £5 on that just in case …lol..

Although Dijon have won only 1 from last 5 (including cup games) they should as top scorers in league with 33 goals be strong enough to win a half against a Niort side sitting 14th in table having only won 3 games from 19 managing only 1 win in their last 5.
Clermont who sit 3rd in table having won 3 of their last 5 should also be strong enough at home to win a half against an Evian side in freefall who have lost their last 3 in league and not managing a win in last 5.

In the Apertura, Emanuel Villa finished the first half of the season with 13 goals in 17 appearances, and eventually signed for the home side from Tigres in December last year. Jordan, I’ve spent hours today looking at team news and most Premier League sides will rotate to some extent including Arsenal, Stoke and Bournemouth. Liverpool were almost forced to play that team due to injuries and schedules but it was even weaker than had been suggested.
I wasn’t able to comment when the team was revealed but I’d have advised Exeter to score at least.
I think BTTS was around 4/5 anyway Mr F so not sure it would have been anything single priced. But after someone posted the Liverpool side I did say I’d be tempted by Exeter DC. I don’t think United will be too rotated to be honest but we won’t know until later today. LVG has spoken about Will Keane (called him Mike) and we recalled Januzaj so they might feature to some extent, but he knows that if he plays a weakened squad and we don’t get the result, the fans will be back to before the turn of the year.
Jordan, I read he might also rest Rooney but we’ll see.
