MASTERS blaster Ronnie O'Sullivan has been cut from 3-1 to 11-8 at Skybet for the title after surging into the semis with a classy win over world No.1 Mark Selby.

Barry Hawkins is also through after staging a surprise against Mark Allen and today the last-four line-up is finalised.

First up is Neil Robertson against Judd Trump, who's seeking a first Masters crown. Aussie ace Robertson starts as 4-6 favourite (Totesport) while Trump is a 6-4 shot at bet365.

In the second match John Higgins is 8-13 at Betfred to sink world champ Stuart Bingham, the 13-8 underdog at Sportingbet.

Elsewhere today there's cricket – day two of the third Test between South Africa and England – plus tennis and basketball among the sporting highlights.

Let's hear all your tips and chat and good luck with your bets.

Jordan. Outstanding nfl divisional round write up mate. A great help. How do you see the total match points going in these games ?

Cheers mate. Not quite as easy as last week. Can’t call any if I’m honest.

    NFL Divisional Round

    New England Patriots ML
    Arizona Cardinals ML

    @ 97/100 – 15 points

    Add;

    Denver Broncos ML @ 43/25 – 3 points

    Add;

    Seattle Seahawks ML @ 5/1 – 2 points

At this stage of the season, two weeks off and a home field advantage is huge. It also helps when you have a host of your players healthy and probable, which is now the case for the Patriots. There are a few unwritten rules when it comes to betting in the NFL. One of them is not to back against Brady and Belichick in Foxborough in the playoffs. For me, Bill Belichick is the best coach in the league right now, and could go into the HOF as the best coach in NFL history. For him to have two weeks to prepare against any team is a big advantage. The Chiefs come into Foxborough as the most in form team in the NFL with 11 wins in a row, but last week there star receiver Jeremy Maclin went down in Houston with a knee/ankle injury and hasn’t practised all week. That could be bad for KC as that’ll leave tight end Travis Kelce and the two running back West and Ware with a lot of work to take on. You don’t want to be one dimensional against the Patriots. They also have two starting offensive linemen in the concussion protocol. The Patriots themselves will be glad to have names such as Edelman, Hightower, Freeny, Vollmer and Jones all probable. The Chiefs may be hot here but for me they haven’t beaten too many ‘good’ teams this season. Brian Hoyer gifted them the game last week with his multiple turnovers, a week before that they narrowly slid past the Cleveland Browns 17-14, beat a decimated Ravens team in Baltimore with a QB signed a couple weeks before hand, only managed a 10-3 win against the Chargers at home a week before then. Basically, they’ve had an easy run, much like the Redskins did. Their only real wins against teams to note were in Denver when Peyton threw 4 picks and was benched for Brock Osweiler, and a Steelers team led by Landry Jones when Big Ben was hurt. I will take a healthy Brady at home everyday of the week.

The next game in the double takes us back to Phoenix, Arizona where my Packers were absolutely destroyed a couple of weeks ago 38-8. They did have problems on the offensive line though with three starting linemen out. That won’t be the case this time round, however, they might be without their best corner back once more in Sam Shields who seems to be taking a lifetime to come back from a concussion. Rookie corner back Quinten Rollins is also a doubt after suffering a quad injury after making a good play in Washington. So that’s two starting defensive backs out, not what you’d like coming up against one of if not the best vertical offenses in the league. We’ll also likely be without wide receiver Davante Adams, aka Mr January as Aaron Rodgers dubbed him. Seems to not exist in the regular season then all of a sudden comes alive in the playoffs, exactly like he did last year, and exactly like he did in Washington last week. Obviously if my Packers pull off the unthinkable and get to their second NFC Championship in two seasons I will not mind losing my money, but the fact of the matter is I can’t see it against a team I have to win it all.

I’ll be short and sweet on the next two games, but a lot of bookies aren’t giving many markets for the Steelers/Broncos game as nobody knows if Big Ben or Antonio Brown will play after both suffering injuries last week in Cincinnati. Big Ben has apparently torn tendons in his shoulder, and Antonio Brown took a nasty hit which looked to knock him out cold, and resulted in Vontaze Burfict receiving a suspension for the first few games next season. There was words said that Antonio Brown was fine after the game and supposedly winked towards somebody, but I’d be surprised if he can go with the strict protocol the NFL have on concussions. He or Big Ben are yet to practise this week along with a few other key players. I’ll take Denver who have Peyton Manning back under center and could really expose the Steelers extremely poor secondary. The Steelers did beat the Broncos a few weeks ago, but that was in Pittsburgh with Osweiler under center, who still managed to throw for 3 touchdowns and just under 300 yards.

The final game I’m taking is just a hunch. The team with the best record in the NFL this season is only being given a -2.5 against the Seahawks, which is a tip of the cap towards the team that has appeared in the last two Super Bowls. Some will argue that the Seahawks shouldn’t be here, @lee-cunliffe and Vikings kicker Blair Walsh are two examples. But the fact is they are. This one is really a flip of the coin for me, but I’ve seen enough of the Panthers this season to think that they got lucky on more than one occasion. My Packers could have tied the game in Carolina with a big comeback in the second half, the Saints nearly beat them in New Orleans in a shootout, the Giants came back from big deficit to tie it late on, only to lose out to a field goal, and the horrible, horrible Falcons giving them their only loss of the season, and probably their most significant win in the season was in Seattle on a blown coverage with under a minute to play. The Panthers will be getting Jonathan Stewart back which is good for them, but in the last couple of games they lost two of their starting corners for the season. That leaves Josh Norman on his own, which is ok for cover on Doug Baldwin, but bad for those who are likely to be in cover against Lockett and Kearse, with tight end Luke Willson also now probable. Marshawn Lynch is still a game time decision, and if he plays then that’s even better as it’ll be one more player who the Panthers will be drawn to on offense.

As some of you saw last week, anything can happen in a matter of minutes, so if you follow, bet what you can afford to lose. Good luck.

Great write up jordan, i’m liking the chiefs a bit less now lol. When you tipped the Cardinals to win the superbowl i got them at 9/2 and had a bet on Seahawks too at 7/1. Are any of the Pats best players defo out of chiefs game or are they back to the team that did 10/0 earlier in the season?

Shocker of a day unless the bulls can comeback.

    Snooker:

    Robertson
    Higgins

    Double 13/8 – 6points

Already have a lot riding on higgins from the 10 points staked to win his quarter (11/10) and 2.5 points outright (12/1). Obviously will be looking at taking cover if he goes a couple of frames up.

    • baggio 8 years ago

Can’t believe Allen’s form against Hawkins yesterday, dreadful. I’ve played better snooker after 5 pints and a smoke!! With you on Robertson and Higgins. Robertson is the man of the moment and Higgy is back to his former glories.

Normally dont like prop bets as sometimes it can be pure luck but from watching the 76s it was clear that ISH SMITHS points total at 15.5 is too low and as advised i STAKED £100.00.

He scored 24 points overall, 20 in normal time and considering yesterday he decided not to have a shot until the end of the second quarter instead assisting 6 before HT , it shows he could have won more.

Will be punishing PP again should they not move his total in the next game. 3 out 3 now that i taken Ish

Not a bad card today in the EuroHoops. We have quite a few domestic games, albeit more obscure leagues. We also have the Euroleague in action again. The Euroleague has been a thorn in my side this season and I rode my luck a bit with the Barca game yesterday, so I’ve decided to stick with a domestic fivefold…..

    EuroHoops Fivefold

    Caceres (-5.5)

    CB Atapuerca Burgos (Money Line)

    BC Lulea (-12.5)

    Boncourt Red Team (-16.5)

    Fivefold @ just under 6/1 Skybet – 1pt staked.

    • hunter 8 years ago

I actually had the overs on one of my fivefolds but thought it was a bit risky! I think it will go over. The only thing that put me off was the fact they just recently played one another and both will look to focus changing their defensive tactics rather than offensive. Overs sould have a good shout though. Also, I think it will be closer than the spreads suggest so we could see a lot of free-throws near the end.

82 – 74 Would be my guess at a final scoreline!

Tempted by the Alexy Shved (Khmiki) prop on Bet365. The former Knicks player has been on fire recently and the over 17.5 points looks more than reachable for him. It was set at 16.5 this morning but was too busy researching today’s card to place the bet in time. Will await team news.

Taylor Fritz has won me some Golden Leaves of late..so it will be rude not to back the 18 year old boy wonder tonight in his final qualifier for the Oz open.

He is up against Mischa Zverev who is not a bad player so sensible stakes advised.

Taylor Fritz to Win 5/6 bet365

Also on the match to go over 22.5 games should be closeish and probably go 3 sets.

    Over 22.5 games 5/6 bet365

P.s ..Bet365 is the way to go for Tennis matches because even if your player is down a set or 2 and retired it will void bet..most others would Mark as a loss..example Bencic and Tomic last night both retired 1 set down.

    Void with Bet365
Loss with Coral and most others.
