It was annoying to see the amount of non-runners in the selections race yesterday, as he would've won with all the runners in the race. There was a high rule 4 applied to the odds, so it didn't return the most, but hopefully some of you had him in your multiple bets to boost the odds.

I'm Mable will be fancied to land a second win in quick succession, but she has totally different conditions today, and that is enough for me to find a bet against her. KOOL MOE DEE is the horse I like in this race, despite a wide draw in 7 being a negative, I think he could get the lead if breaking well and be hard to catch. We've seen it in many recent seasons at this track that grabbing the rail early on makes it difficult for horses in behind to catch them, which is what I think could happen with Richard Hannon's 4yo Gelding.
Off a mark of 70 he is starting to become well handicapped, with him winning off 77 2x in the past, and he finished a neck runner up off a mark of 72 last year. I don't like backing horses who are out of form, but his 6th/12 on seasonal reappearance isn't seen to be a bad run in my opinion. He tried to make the running at Musselburgh, where he did well for a long way, but got tired late on, which is probably due to a lack of fitness from 226 days off the track. With that run under his belt he is entitled to go close in this contest. I don't think this is a particularly strong race, and he looks good value at odds of around 4/1.
Going back to I'm Mable, she won the AW last time and had Ryan Moore doing the steering. This time she is running on quick ground on the turf, and has a 7lb claimer on board who doesn't have a very good strike rate, so his odds don't look very appealing.
