Cash Back threw our cash away yesterday, and that was all down to his lackluster jumping. He was not meeting fences on good strides, he jumped out to his left and made far too many mistakes. It's a surprise to see a round of jumping that bad at that level.

Being truthfully honest, not much caught my eye for Monday's racing, and like normal, it's a pretty boring/rubbish to the start of the week. Nevertheless, we have an Irish raider making an appearance at Carlisle, who needs to be respected. Emmet Mullins is a shrewd trainer, I've probably mentioned it before, so the fact that he sees this race fit for one of his horses, it needs to be noted. For that reason, I'm not going to be playing the ‘Win' market for this race, but the ‘W/O' market, without the market favourite, Rightplacerightime.
HOUSTON TEXAS looks the horse who will finish runner-up, if the favourite is as good as what people believe. I'm not totally sold on the favourite, but connections of this horse have to be respected, and the value available on the selection to finishing behind the favourite, is good odds and is the more safer option.
Nicky Richards' 8yo chaser won his first race over rules last time out on this track, and the manner in which he won, was impressive. The step up in trip looks a potential positive and bring out further improvement. He has been raised 7lbs for that win, but will race 1lbs out of the handicap for this race, but as a result of that, he races off bottom weight off 10st 3lbs. This is a much harder race than what he contested last time, but the fact that Nicky has pitched him into it shows the faith his trainer has. The form of his runner-up place in the race before his win has been franked, with the winner going on to win twice since. Being a previous PTP winner, chasing was always going to be this lads game, so it's not a surprise to see him have a progressive profile.
