ROYSTANIA (4.45) is a big price at Ffos Las. Hugo Palmer’s filly took on Class 2 rivals at Newbury when fifth to Galmarley and she should appreciate the drop in class if handling this softer ground.

PLANSINA (7.50) has been kept busy by Roger Fell but the filly is holding her form very well. She met a handicap snip in Croque Monsieur at Chelmsford City last week and her earlier second to Roundhead was boosted when that horse scored at Ripon yesterday. Soft ground is something of an unknown this evening at Thirsk but Plansina was a close fourth at Wetherby in the mud back in April.

MR MINERALS (3.00) has become a bit disappointing but the handicapper has given him a chance at Chelmsford City. He had to carry 10st 2lb last time when behind Image and Elysian Dream (winner last week) on his last visit to the Essex track and Richard Hughes is saddling his fair share of winners this month.

ALEXANDERTHEGREAT (5.00) should shrug off a 6lb penalty for his six lengths romp at Newbury last week as William Haggas steps him up to 1m 6f. His earlier Lingfield victory over Twister is rock solid in this Class 6 grade. He’s one to put in any doubles and trebles.
