GODOLPHIN will be casting their net at York this week hoping to catch some big prizes and BEDOUIN’S STORY (3.05) can give the boys in blue a confidence-booster at Thirsk.
Saeed Bin Suroor saddles the top weight in the 7f handicap and Bedouin’s Story must have a big chance on his third to subsequent winner Woody Bay at Newmarket. The gelding raced four or five horses wide on what was probably the slower part of the track, while the main action unfolded down the stands’ rail. It wasn’t a bad run under the circumstances and this previous Salisbury scorer should be bang there.
CLENYMISTRA (4.05) is no great shakes but David O’Meara’s filly struck over course and distance at this time last year. She races here off a similar rating in a very modest affair.
MANGO CHUTNEY (5.05) is another course and distance winner and his track craft makes him of interest. The gelding returned from a break to run an okay race at Catterick and that should have put him spot-on for this assignment.
At Windsor, GHALIA AL THUMAMA (6.30) is worthy of each-way support if all eight runners go to post. Conrad Allen’s filly hasn’t been seen since running third to Dance On The Day and Mojika at York in June but should be fit enough as she has missed a couple of engagements lately due to soft ground.
