TopTips_Ladbrokes

LAST week's Champions League games provided rich pickings for punters and there will be great expectations going into the Tuesday and Wednesday matches.

I've posted a separate preview and fancy Man United to win away to Olympiakos but Zenit v Dortmund is tougher to call with the Germans injury-hit and trying to bounce back from last weekend's mauling by Hamburg.

It's a busy night of football in England with League One, League Two and Conference games and in Scotland there are three Premiership matches including Aberdeen v Celtic and Ross County v Inverness.

I've been studying the coupon for the best part of two days now and there aren't many teams jumping out at me. It could be difficult night and League One and League 2 could see a few draws.

In Scotland, Aberdeen have made it tough for Celtic recently, beating them in the Scottish Cup and being the last side to score against Fraser Forster in the league. Celtic are too short for me at 8-13 so best bet could both to score at 4-5 with Ladbrokes.

Ross County v Inverness is always tight so could be a draw while St Johnstone will be without defenders Frazer Wright and Tam Scobbie at home to Motherwell who could edge it. However, if the pitch is as bad as Saints fan Greg Browning says it could be a draw.

So for my Super Single I can't see anything better than Man United at Olympiakos. The concensus is on a United win – apart from a couple of Liverpool fans.

As I said there aren't many sides standing up and shouting out “take me” so I'm going with what hopefully is a safe treble. Bookies have been stung by some of the big guns recently but it's Luton who could be most popular on accumulators tonight.

The runaway Conference leaders have won their last two 5-0 and 7-0 and face a Wrexham side who have picked up one point in nine, scoring just one goal. Luton are 9-20 at Ladbrokes.

Add Dunfermline at home to Arbroath in Scottish League One. It's been pointed out the Pars have had problems against sides sitting bottom this season but they've won three in a row in the league, scoring 10 goals, and face an Arbroath side with just one win in 17.

Dunfermline lost to Arbroath at home early in the season but won 3-0 away and are playing as well as they've done all season. They are 4-9 at Ladbrokes.

Complete the treble with Annan at home to Queen's Park in League. Annan beat the Spiders 1-0 away at the weekend and should be more convincing winners when they meet again as the welcome back some key men. Queen's haven't scored in five – four 1-0 defeats and a 0-0 draw – so while new boss Gus MacPherson has made them harder to beat they lack a cutting edge.

If the treble comes up I'll be happy enough. Other sides I looked at with bigger prices included Scunthorpe at home to Bristol Rovers, Dartford at home to Aldershot and Raith at home to Alloa.

Best aways for me are Sheffield Utd at Colchester, Crewe at Stevenage and Stenhousemuir at Airdrie.

And there could be a few draws with Preston v Rotherham, Torquay v Burton and Albion Rovers v Clyde standing out for me.

Greg hibs kicks of at 2 tomorrow. time and venue have been changed. I’ll be going along to it before venturing up to stade de Mcdiarmid!

  2. Glen 10 years ago

    Hi
I’ve done a goals galore extra bet tonight and it’s all come down to btts and a Man U win
    I have the
    Charlton away win
    Hull home win
Villarreal away win just need the utd away win for 18k !!
Help me me f , what should I do to try and cover my self ? So many options but obviously want to profit from coming this far . The bookies have got really lucky with my bets for the last 3 weeks and this time there getting it ! Help me

    • Elliott 10 years ago

Glen, it’s a difficult bet to cover as in theory you have three other outcomes you need to consider backing…

Both teams to score – No
Both teams to score and Olympiakos win
Both teams to score and Draw

Depends on your stakes but it might be worth letting the game play for 30-45mins to see what it’s shaping up like and see if a goal or two goes in to narrow down your possible outcomes (I.e early BTTS comes in)…but even then anything could still be possible!

I’d probably back the three options above pre game ensuring that regardless of the result I’d get all my stakes back and some profit on each.

    • Damo 10 years ago

Also got 0-0 to consider, pretty hard to cover with so many other outcomes. Good luck though, hope it comes in!

    • Damo 10 years ago

      Ignore that misread elliots comment.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Glen, tough to cover when it’s not a single you’re waiting on. You need to wait for the game to start and if Man Utd take the lead you should be able to do something. What was the stake on that one?

    • Rogerdodger 10 years ago

An alternative strategy to cover yourself would be to back Man United in the ‘win to nil’ market and lay them in the match odds market (this covers all permutations as you have already £8k riding on them winning with BTTS).
As Elliot says, it depends on the size of the stake you are looking to cover. Current Betfair odds to back win to nil/lay Man U in the match odds are 3.5/2.3.

Ithought that the win to nil odds would be a bit higher but as it stands your total (back/lay)liability would need to be £295 if you backed and laid this scenario with a £100 back stake. This would win you £42.50 locked in profit if either United won to nil or failed to win. The only other remaining scenario – would be champagne corks popping all round. Best of luck!

    • Rogerdodger 10 years ago

According to Oddschecker Bet365 are offering the best odds on the Man United win to nil market at 3.6. I can’t check that for sure that this ‘real time’ information is correct as this PC as it is playing up! If it is then this would give you £52 locked in profit with a £308 total back/lay liability -of course you would not have to pay Betfair commssion on the back side of the bet.

    Overs Series – Bet 5

    Dartford v Aldershort KO 7.45pm

What a difference a month makes! Dartford went on a horrendous run of 13 losses and 2 draws but have turned the corner since then winning 4 and drawing one! 4 of their last 5 have seen over 2.5 goals! Aldershot are no stranger to goals having seen 13 of their last 14 go over 2.5 goals! Both teams have scored in 9 of their last 11 and we should see some goals here!

    Over 2.5 goals 3/4

    • The Dane 10 years ago

      GREG BROWNING.

      Bet 5/30

      Dartford – Aldershort (7.45 UK)
      Over 2.5 goals
      Odds: 1,80 (Ladbrokes)
      Stake: 5.72%

(This is an attempt to over 3 x 30 bets to proof the importance of a staking plan, the use of several competent tipsters and several fixed bankrolls.

I predict no less than two out of Mr. Fixit, Alex and Greg Browning to end in profit and a total profit of no less than 10% over the 3 x 30 matches.

All stakes are in percentages of a fixed bankroll.)

      The Dane.

  5. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Cheers for the heads up Sparky! They are a talented lot those young Hibee’s :)

Stade de mcDiarmid park is in a sorry state right now. Makes water road look like the emirates! It’s rutted and bobbly, will make for grim viewing! Out home form has been decent this hear but I do have a feeling Motherwell night nick this!

  6. Greg Browning 10 years ago

I can spell, this bloody iPhone and my fat fingers not a good mix, haha!

  7. MiniDuffman 10 years ago

I see Greg has just posted about this which makes me feel a bit more confident:

    NAP – Dartford v Aldershot Over 2.5 Goals (3/4)

Also like the look of Luton over 1.5 Goals (11/20) which i’ll be having a punt on. Luton have scored atleast 2 goals in their last 11 home games. Should win here and I like this bet for my bank builder.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

MiniDuffman, as you see I mentioned Luton and Luton 2+ is in my shortlist for the series with The Dane.

    • MiniDuffman 10 years ago

I really can’t see past a Luton win, they have been phenomenal at home after drawing their first 3 games. Having fired in 12 goals in their last 2 games they should hit 2 against Wrexham easily.

  8. Sparky 10 years ago

Hard game to call tomorrow night your mobs just like the highland derby. I reckon you could do a lot worse than do a treble on btts for the 3 prem games tomorrow. You,ll be missing wright and scobbie. Motherwell look overpriced to me just like ross county but safer just playing the goals I’d say.

Hibs u20s are doing ok and they always have a sprinkling of the first team squad playing because we actually have quite a big squad. Unfortunately not a very good one!

Tomorrow 20s games is now at airdrie instead of livingston and that should help your goals as plastic pitch lends itself to shots a lot better than a rutted muddy mess!

  9. Craig17 10 years ago

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has any tips for games to kick off? Much appreciated

  10. Alex 10 years ago

Had a bloody lovely start to the week with only Linfield and Glenavon letting the side down for and even that returned half the stake. Ended a couple of points up. UCL is centre stage tonight but I’ll leave that alone I think. Look for some league football to spice up Tuesday.

    THE DANE’S OVERS SERIES:

    COLCHESTER V SHEFF UTD 7:45pm

With the Conference South game postponed yesterday, I still stand at 1 from 3 and will put two games up on a day where I feel much more confident. But today I’m going to League One and to Colchester who have seen all of their last 7 home league matches go over 2.5 goals up against a Sheffield United side who’ve seen 6 of their last 8 league matches go over 2.5 goals. They are in scintillating form at the moment and should go to Colchester with great confidence. The H2H shows 6 of their 9 meetings have over 2.5 goals and the other 3 have ended 1-1. If it doesn’t come in, it should be close! Over 2.5 goals is 11/10 with PaddyPower.

Overs tip: Colchester v Sheff Utd over 2.5 goals – 11/10

    MAIN TIPS:

    BORDEAUX V LORIENT 5:30pm

This is a league match and I’m going to be on the home side here. They might well be Mr F’s SS today as well. Bordeaux have won 7 of their last 9 home matches including 4 of their last 5 and have a tremendous home record against Lorient, winning 5 and drawing 4 of their 9 meetings at Bordeaux. Lorient have only won once in their last seven in the league and have lost 2 of their last 3 away matches. Lorient have some defensive problems too and Bordeaux have an almost fully fit squad for this one. I’m backing the home win at 21/20 with WilliamHill.

    KIDDERMINSTER V WOKING 7:45pm

Kidderminster have seen their last 9 home matches go over 2.5 goals and 12 of their 15 in total have. Woking’s 15 away games have all seen at least 2 goals and 4 of their last 7 have seen over 2.5. Their last 2 league matches have seen 10 goals scored. The H2H record shows 5 of the last 6 meetings have gone over 2.5, but the reverse fixture didn’t. This match should have plenty of goals and the price is a bit short at 13/20, but I’ll be on it.

    DARTFORD V WREXHAM 7:45pm

After a shocking shocking shocking run of 11 defeats in 12 Conference games, Dartford have turned it right around. They have won 4 of their last 5, their only draw was a 3-3 at home to 2nd place Cambridge. They’ve scored at least twice in all 5 of those games and are right back in the hunt to stay in the league. They come up against an Aldershot side who are level on points with them, although they did have a -10 deduction. But they’ve conceded 2 in each of their last 4 league matches and in 6 of the last 8 away matches. I want to go for a Dartford win which would pay 21/10, but the fact Aldershot have drawn 3 of their last 4 2-2 puts me off a touch. I’m going for Dartford over 1.5 team goals which pays 6/4.

    TIPS:
    Bordeaux – 21/20
    Kidderminster v Woking over 2.5 goals – 13/20
    Dartford over 1.5 team goals – 6/4

That’s Tuesday for you and hopefully it’ll be as good as Monday! Good luck to everyone.

    • Rustychest 10 years ago

Alex, I’m feeling your picks more than usual. Small stakes acca. ? :)

      Cheers mate

  12. Richard 10 years ago

Fat fingers Greg?! – don’t know if you’re a fan of the Big Bang Theory but that comment’s right out of one episode.

Anyway to add to the overs bets for tomorrow

    Ukrainian women’s Premier League

    Zhytlobud-1 vs Illichivka 9am

Home team finished top of the league in 2013 scoring 67 goals in 14 games and won the last meeting of these 2 sides at home 6-1.

Goal markets not up yet so depends what comes on in-play

  13. Neil 10 years ago

    Alex,

Your last tip. Do you want to do Dartford 1.5 goals vs Aldershot or Luton 1.5 goals vs Wrexham.

I think you have the teams muddled. Both good odds depending on the bet you are doing.

Like 3 of your picks. been burnt on French ligue 1 too many times to do

    Good luck

    • Alex 10 years ago

Neil – I don’t quite know what happened to me when I did this write-up but I think I must have dozed off at some point. I’m backing Dartford over 1.5 team goals against Aldershot!

Thanks for pointing that error out!

  14. Kev 10 years ago

I know your waiting for the btts and win glen but personally can’t see past a 1-0, or a 2-0. I also fancy Dortmund, but like so many games at zenit I’ve got a feeling I will check the score at 80 odd minutes and it will be the usual 0-0! So with these thoughts in mind I’m going for skybet a offer of 12/1 for Man U and Dortmund both to win to nil :) good luck guys, I’ve had none lately!

  15. Damo 10 years ago

Talked myself out of taking the tigre game draw and under 2.5 goals. If you look at h2h you’ll see why I was interested. Sometimes you can’t ignore the stats!

  16. Fitba Tips 10 years ago

Rangers have won all but one of their away games to nil in League 1 at a price of evens or better every time (I point this out every time). Tonight they are 2.8 with BV and Coral. Seen an excellent return on this bet. would it were the only bet I did all season as I am yet to lose with it. Stranraer wont be easy but neither was Dunfermline or Ayr or Brechin.

Also in League 1 I have noticed a very odd pattern emerging. Tonight Dunfermline face the team at the bottom, at home, for the 4th time this season. They have LOST every other time! A strange pattern with no discernible reason but at 1.4 I can’t take them.

Celtic have been winning at HT in 9 of their 13 away league games. Celtic HT/FT away from home is another bet that has been storming in this season. Sure, Aberdeen away is as tough as the come for The hoops right now but they have a point to prove and 2.56 with Betfair is juicy.

Sorely tempted by Ross County but it’s mostly an inkling and inklings are no good in this game. Not one for GS bets either but Kiss has 4 in his first 5 and Arquin has 3 from his first 5. Would think there is a good chance for either of them to get on the scoresheet. whether there is value or not will be for someone else to point out, GS bets are not my bag.

Finally tempted by Annan and Albion DNB double but going to await team news for that one so will decide on it late afternoon or so.

Might lay Dortmund for interest and I think Olympiakos and Utd could have 0-0 all over it but then I thought Leverkusen would beat Utd in Germany so what the hell do I know?

    Good luck everyone.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Fitbatips, Mohsni’s back in defence so that will help Rangers but the way Stranraer are playing, 3-1 at Brechin at the weekend, 2-2 at home to ICt in the cup and also a 1-1 draw at Ibrox suggests to me they can score. Also weather could play a part.

    • Fitba Tips 10 years ago

They can score of course and I would have expected Dunfermline to score. Ayr were missing their top scorer but still got 2.6 on that one. I think this is one of those bets you just have to keep doing becuase it just keeps winning. How would I feel if I didnt do this tonight at 2.8 and it comes on again? :|

If it loses, well we are miles ahead with it anyway. :D

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Fitbatips, fair enough – if you do it every time you have to go again.

  17. Alan 10 years ago

Just some BTTS + Win selections into Oddschecker, and Bet365 has come up as best odds! When did the start covering this market?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Alan, I think it was just last weekend.

  18. Troy 10 years ago

I noticed it at the weekend Alan! They got stung for 4 figures!

I can add Polish football to the ‘do not bet on’ list now…..
French Ligue 2 on the other hand, is always good for ‘BTTS and Win’ so will monitor that closely from now on. The least said about Greuther Fürth the better.

Just checking out the fixtures tomorrow. I’m liking Motherwell to beat St Johnstone with both teams scoring as St Johnstone have two defenders out.

Greg – Aren’t you a St. Johnstone fan? Can you provide some pro’s and cons please?

    • Alan 10 years ago

I’m a big fan of this market Troy. Some good returns to be had for small stakes. Had Hull & Sheff Weds tonight; 25/1 for the double. Got a good run for my £2.

    • Simon Says 10 years ago

Do not bet on Polish games at all ;)I’m Polish myself and I never placed a single bet on PL football. Turkish and Finish leagues are always good for BTS&WIN.

  19. Damo 10 years ago

    Posted on last nights thread.

    GIMNASIA LP V BELGRANO
    BTTS
    11/10

Gials are usually scarce in Argentina but this looks like it has a great chance and I’ll be taking a chance.

    2-1 HT **WIN**

Took over 2.5 goals also as I felt the price was too big at 8/5 but wasn’t as confident about tipping that as opposed to btts. Hopefully one or two had a look.

  20. Mark1976 10 years ago

Troy would be interesting to see how you fair on this and would gladly help. I am in the same boat as Alan and love this market, hills have the score and win coupon but now 365 do it. Makes them the best thing since sliced bread for me.

  21. Troy 10 years ago

Paul – Do you fancy Rotherham again? They’ve won their last four out of 5 on the road?

They’ve won their last four leagues games 2-1! Could they make it five away to Preston?

Alex REVELL is out for Rotherham and he’s netted 3 in his last 4 games

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Troy, not sure about Rotherham. Should be btts but Preston tough to beat on home turf.

    • Rogerdodger 10 years ago

PNE have picked up at home a bit but, on the contrary, I feel that their away form is much better. They have suffered some embarrassing home defeats this season to teams like Crewe -to name but one. The death of Tom Finney can’t be underestimated though and, strange as it seems, looks to have given them fresh impetus. A tough call -maybe a draw with BTTS?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Rogerdodger, that Crewe game was some time ago – recently Preston have been pretty solid.

  22. Mark1976 10 years ago

Help me Damo, having a meltdown with my bets. Need someone to tell me what to bet on as I cannot win. When I fancy something and don’t bet on it for fear of losing it wins and when I bet on it I lose, driving me mad. Upto this weekend I haven’t deposited in 2 months and twice now in 2 days.

  23. Damo 10 years ago

Mark I wouldn’t worry too much about as it can happen and obviously you can’t back everything that gets posted. Probably best just taking a break and coming at it again tomorrow with a clear head if its clouding your judgment. It’ll come good though!

  24. Troy 10 years ago

Cheers guys, I’m massively up on this market and I only do Trebles (Btts and Win) or Two (Btts and Win) + 2 Singles to make a four fold.

I’ve been in profit every month since September (except November). Like with all the guys on here, I do a lot of research as I enjoy it.

At first glance SHEFF UTD, CHESTERFIELD, MOTHERWELL, SWINDON, FOREST GREEN, LUTON, GRIMSBY, MACCLESFIELD , SCUNTHORPE and CREWE have all been short listed for ‘BTTS and WIN’! Just need to wield the axe on the chosen few after I’ve evaluated team news, recent form, fans opinion, last match reports and other posts from you guys.

Man Utd will be added to list as a single only though. I think Moyes’s team will bore the pants off the public and scrape a 1-0 win.

  25. Damo 10 years ago

Also the absolute best thing to do when having a tough run is to avoid scatter gun with too many bets. If you can be disciplined and bring in some limits/structure to your betting pattern you will soon be back on track.

  26. Troy 10 years ago

Mark – I’m waiting Mr F to authorise my last post as it contains my short list in there. I’ll have a flippin’ good go tomorrow at picking out a winner. I had a 139/1 shot on Saturday…..

Tomorrow I will be doing a four fold (2x BTTS WIN plus 2 x singles). Man Utd are definitely one of the singles.

  27. Mark1976 10 years ago

Thanks mate, very frustrating. Some excellent tippers on here, I don’t bet on them all and am quite selective but even the best tippers lose and lately I seem to be on the wrong ones every time.

pays about 8.9 to 1….if Dundalk had won yesterday I would have broken my jinx of losing by one on eight consecutive 7 team accumulators.

Other good picks include Scunthorpe,Celtic,Chesterfield and even Fleetwood…..I am wary of the CL games but hope for both away teams to win an keep my eight fold CL away teams to win..good luck guys

In all seriousness though, I think it will be a tight match! The surface at Mcdiar”mud” park ( you see what I did there :) is in a terrible state! We are steuggling for numbers at the back! If may does t score we don’t tend to win! I’d edge towards a narrow Motherwell so!

Sparky, they are forever changing the venues for the u20 matches! We usually have a couple if 1st team players playing but as we are playing tonight, it was a fairly young team! Callum Davidson was on the bench which helped indicate a Hamilton win!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Greg, McDiarmud Park – I like that. Might use that tonight!

  39. Brian C 10 years ago

Can anyone provide info on why Scunthorpe at home are evens @ skybet ?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Brian C, it’s midweek Football League that’s why. Scunthorpe should win but for me that’s the correct price.

  40. Stormin 10 years ago

Last 5 between Stallions and Green aArchers has seen 4,7,4,6 and 7 goals. 7/10 over 2.5 does look a steal Alex

  41. Cammy 10 years ago

The more I look at it, the more I am convinced to back Man United tonight. They just have far more quality and experience in their side.

Olympiakos’ are the best team in a league which is poor in more ways than one, they sold Mitroglou and Weiss, whilst loaned Yatabare out, these were 3 players who were important in their wins in the group stage. Add to that Saviola is out and you should really expect Man United to be able to cope with them on the park with Vidic and Ferdinand at the back.

Man United 6/5 is also a nice price for me and I would be quite surprised if they don’t win this one. I’m sure David Moyes will go out to win as well to make sure they don’t need the win at Old Trafford in front of an impatient crowd.

    • macca the red 10 years ago

the odds on the olympiacos v man u suggest a draw to me,how can you be confident of a man u win?they are an average side at best now in the premier league,i have heard someone state that they are still a top 3 side which i can’t see any logic in at all, okay they beat palace at the weekend but in reality they had to to stand any chance of making europa league.their captain is leaving and he doesn’t look interested who would?to me this is a tough ask for a man u win, even with the departures of olympiacos stars.i fancy home side draw no bet @ 6/4.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

macca the red, we’ll see. Best bet here is for you to back Olympiakos draw no bet if that’s what you like.

    • macca the red 10 years ago

i have taken olympiacos draw no bet @ 6/4

    • Cammy 10 years ago

Just my opinion mate, I probably wouldn’t have taken them if they were odds on but the price is tempting.

I also think you can’t say they are now suddenly an average team, and Vidic was looking solid the past couple games.

  42. jamesy 10 years ago

Fitba tips.. Stranraer was the team that rangers drop points against thanks to a longworth last minute goal.. On their owm patch myt b a difficult game

    • Fitba Tips 10 years ago

It will be difficult jamesy, I agree. Definite value in the price though, when you look at the form and stats. Dunfermline scored at Ibrox, and score against everyone at home, lost 0-3. Ayr score everywhere else but at home to Rangers. Stennie grab 3 at Ibrox and none at home. Bottom of the table Arbroath have scored at Ibrox twice, lost 0-3 at home. Brechin are the only team that managed it and they went 2/3-0 up before losing 3-4.

This could be the one that lets this bet for the first time in 10 or the 2nd time in 16! 9/5? Personally I think I must do this bet. Would be raging if I didnt and it wins.

have betfred pulled the 30 minute limit coupon from their website, i cant see it anywhere today?

not a big fan, won on my first attempt, but have found that they have become very selective about which games they offer. for instance the dutch games appear to be largely absent, both eredivisie and jupiler leagues seem to have been removed

just ploughing thru a tough looking UK coupon as we reach the arse end of the season

prob going for goals this evening

sorely tempted by almost 2/1 for torquay united to finally kick start our annual battle for survival and hopefully notch CH’s first home win of his short spell in charge

    colchester v blades BTTS
    preston v rotherham BTTS
    newport home
    fleetwood home
    scunny home
    dartford v aldershot over 2.5
    luton -1
forest green v barnet over 2.5
    bangor v airbus over 2.5
    dunfermline home
    bordeaux home

will be doing some whittling later

  48. Andrew 10 years ago

    Mornin folks,

Still learning how to juggle working and posting :p

Just a quick note on Utd. Won’t be on or against them since they’ve been a bit of a bogey team for me this season but it’s interesting to remember they haven’t lost in cl this season and have been impressive away too (Leverkusen for example).

What I may be on though is sheff utd. Won their last 5 in all comps, Colchester lost last 3, draw or sheff utd for me, though a BTTS does have potential.

    Andrew

P.s. Greg, got up 15 mins early to get my Philippines double on, just need to get the 11.30 in play lick-offs now, cheers for the heads up

My tip for tonight: Greeks v Mancs – BTTS (No) 1.83

  51. FATHEAD 10 years ago

Horsing , all Philippine games are played at the same stadium.

  52. Buck 10 years ago

And again last minute brings in both Gregg’s tips! That’s why we love him!!

  53. Rustychest 10 years ago

I’ve never been so lost on a single match before. I’m of course referring to Olympiakos vs. Manchester United. Mr Fixit, sir I commend you for your balls on that pick. Putting the Champions League aside, I’m digging the UK games.

Conference Premier has served me well in the past and I’m looking at Forest Green (10/11) and Tamworth (7/5) wins.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Rustychest, I’ve go to pick them. Most people going for Man Utd but as I’ve said at 5-4 it’s a 50-50 chance.

  54. BusinessmanNL 10 years ago

Interesting match in Montenegro Prva Liga:

    Grbalj – Rudar

“Montenegrin league restarts after a long break.
There are a lot of changes in the teams. Teams that should be better in this part of the season are Rudar, Celik, Mladost and Decic. Grbalj, Mogren Buducnost and Zeta are expected do suffer after the transfer window. Rest of the teams are more or less the same regarding quality.

Grbalj is the team that I believe lost the most during the winter. Playmaking duo Delic and Vukcevic left, as well as Ragipovic, Radusinovic and Martinovic. They are all first team players and I believe that Grbalj will struggle against all the teams, as there is a completely new squad in the midfield.
On the other side, Rudar did a great job. They lost Kaludjerovic, but brought great players. Ex Montenegrin national team player, Ivan Fatic, great midfielder for Montenegrin league. There’s also Bogdan Milic, tall attacker who came back from South Korea. There’s also Bajic, another good attacker. Rudar brought two classy strikers, and attack really was the biggest problem in first part of the season.
I rate Rudar as much better side than Grbalj in this moment, and I would recommend taking straight away win with medium stakes. Odds are great and I believe that bookies don’t have info about the transfers.
    Away win 3.60, 5/10”

Morning gents, apologies been in meetings all morning!

Loyola match turned out alright with inflated stakes on over 1.5 Fhg! Had a small stake on over 4.5!

Stallions match was priced up at 8/11 for over 2.5 goals so on that and over 1.5 fhg at 6/4 – Good start! :)

  61. Troy 10 years ago

    Where’s Marky Mark?!
Here’s the four fold accumulator mate……..

Grimsby to beat Southport (BTTS and WIN)
Scunthorpe to beat Bristol Rovers (BTTS and WIN)
    Man Utd (Win Only)
    Chesterfield (Win Only)

    105/1 with Corals

    Brief Justification
    Pick 1
Grimsby are four points are adrift of the play-offs with nearly five games in hand on Salisbury so need to start making a charge for promotion. Leading scorer Ross HANNAH looks to start up front again and add to his 9 goal tally despite not scoring in the league since the 4th Jan 2014. I’m fully aware Grimsby do have injuries for tonight but they still should overpower a young Southport side sitting third from bottom.

Southport have scored 6 in their last 6 games at home including a 3-1 victory on 15 February against Forest Green Rovers. Despite Grimsby being on a poor run of form the Mariners have secured 5 victories in their last 6 Conference games.

I can see Grimsby winning 3-2 in a high scoring game and return to the promotional mix. I might have a look on HANNAH netting too on Bet365 1-20 minutes.

    Pick 2
Second placed Scunthorpe welcome the visit of Bristol Rovers this evening and Yorkshire outfit have scored 6 goals in their last three home games and I can see them dispatching of the Pirates in dramatic style this evening. Scunthorpe have failed to deliver when I’ve backed them but I’m going to persevere with them as I‘m due a win from them. I’m aware Scunthorpe have won only 2 of their last 5 home games (3 draws) but I think they’ll be too good for the boys from SW England.

Bristol Rovers have lost two and drawn one of their last three away games and I can see the league’s second highest scorers adding to their 50 goal total. SYERS hit a hat-trick against Pompey on Saturday so he could be worth a punt on FGS.

Bristol Rovers are missing Matt HARROLD and have the worst away record in the league but I hope they grab a consolation goal. Scunthorpe boss Russ Wilcox is not planning any changes to the squad from Saturday’s 5-1 win over Portsmouth. Striker Deon Burton is the only doubt for tonight but Scunthorpe have plethora of striking options and I can see this game ending up 3-1 or 4-1 and build up on their thrashing of Portsmouth on Saturday.

    Pick 3
Cheltenham boss Mark Yates is aware of the threat the league leaders possess. “Chesterfield have an array of attacking options and quality defenders. It’s going to be a really tough game”. I can see Chesterfield outscoring Cheltenham this evening and return to winning ways after a 1-0 defeat against lowly Wycombe.

The league leaders have won 3 of their last 5 away games scoring 9 goals in the process. Leading scorer RICHARDS is suspended I believe so let’s look at DOYLE to add to his 7 goal tally. Incidentally he has netted 4 goals since the 28 Jan.

In the last six games Chesterfield have collected 11 out of a possible 18 where as Cheltenham have secured just 5 out of a possible 18. Cheltenham have drawn 1 and lost their two at home. Away win for me………

Man United as per Mr Fixit’s post. Please consider Sheff Utd if you’re not happy with Man United.

    Stallions 2-1 archers 25 mins :)

    Over 1.5 Fhg 6/4 WIN

Well done Bet365 for their pricing policy in this match, haha! :)

  73. Horsing Around 10 years ago

Someone at Bet365 is getting sacked in the morning.

  74. Fela 10 years ago

Don’t want to spoil the alta game, but Alta is playing Tromsö which is a much better team than the teams they met last year. Tromsö was relegated from the eliteserien (premier league)to 1.league, while alta was promoted from 2.league to 1.league. So think tromsö will win this.

    • Damo 10 years ago

I think maybe it was just meant that there could be a few goals in the match rather than Alta win?

  75. Buck 10 years ago

Gregg strikes again cannot believe the odds on 1.5 fhg 5/4 and 8/11 for over 2.5 match goals think bet365 got that wrong! Cheers gregg

Nice going in the stallions game greg! I got on those big odds this morning. Great start to the day!

  83. Dave 10 years ago

Overs has now changed to o 4.5 at 4/6 what we think

  84. Rogerdodger 10 years ago

    Might do another ‘double dutch’:

Perm 4 doubles mixing the 1X2 and BTTS & result markets.

    Might go for :

    Bordeaux
    Accrington Stanley

I’ve won 5/7 of these bets and ,as they are usually around evens, has put me nicely up so far (latest win last night with Parma and Villareal). Throwing a bit of caution to the wind tonight with Accrington but a winning return would be over £13 profit to a £10 total stake if dutched evenly.

    • Rogerdodger 10 years ago

Sorry, meant to add that I pick the draw with the BTTS + result picks.

Grosseto vs Salernitana in an Italian play off match at 1:30pm. First leg finished 3-2 to Salernitana I believe, and just briefly looking at small amount of matches, Salern have had 02.5 in 4 out of their 5 last matches, Grosseto in 3/5.

Currently 4/5 for Over 2.5 on bet365, obviously a bit of a small stake for me, but wondering if anyone more knowledgeable has taken a look at this match?

My treble tonight after quite a bit of swotting with the racing post I.e the bible.
Dartford:They really have turned the corner and are more importantly beating the teams around them comfortably.
Oldham:Going strong and are playing mk dons who are hit with injuries for tonight.Oldham on a good roll and look strong.
Sculthorpe:Impressive at home 2nd in the league against a bottom side although have made a breakthrough of late I fancy Scunthorpe by 2 goals and for the win a good price.
    Dartford 23/10
    Oldham 17/10
    Scunthorpe 19/20.

A good start to this weeks bets with both Higuain FGS and Hull wins bringing in the singles.

I’m going to take a little bit of a leap of faith for todays single. I’m going with Swindon to beat Crawley. I was at the Leyton Orient game and backed the O’s that day because Swindon were a couple of experienced players light and Orient had Batt coming back (well worth backing him to score next game, the guys quality).

Crucially the two goals that game came from 2 reckless penalties which I think would have been avoided had Swindon had there more experienced players on the pitch. However, Mcevelely and Thompson both return today and should tighten things up and allow the creative players to do what they do. It’s a big home game on the back of a disappointing performance so I’m hoping they will show some character and pull through this one.

    3 points – Swindon to beat Crawley @ 6/4

Second bet – 1 point treble:
    Chelsea u19 to beat milan
    Luton to beat Wrexham
    Dunfermline to beat Arbroath
    @ 2.7/1

    Rolling tally this week:
    Start – 3 points
Current – 7 points (inc 4 points listed above)

zenit v dortmund card index over 30 points 4/9

double pays £23.33 for £10 stake with paddy power

games in champions league and Europa league tend to have lots of cars and I made a nice profit on them last week so thought id share my pick for tonight.

Why are Luton only 1/2? Shouldn’t they be more like 1/4?

  132. Neil 10 years ago

Also Wrexham parted company with their manager yesterday! Am I missing something here?

  133. John Boy 10 years ago

Well. Just come on the thread and seen your treble Mr Fixit. Same as I
    have done only I’ve gone
for all of them -1 . I think it’s achievable as the home teams have been scoring plenty lately. My only concern is will the Wrexham players “have a go” for the manager who was sacked today I believe. But Luton are taking no prisoners lately. Here’s hoping anyway.

cant see this hibs game anywhere says 6pm k/o

  137. Andrew 10 years ago

    Afternoon lads,

Just a quick bit of input. Sacked manager was Wrexham legend Andy morrell. Not sure what effect this could have on the team but they are expected to finish the season strongly so though I do like Luton, Wrexham are not without danger. Seen as it was yesterday though not sure this explains the price, might be a good one for the mr and BTTS, not sure if Troy mentioned that one or not.

My NAP of the day is….

Celtic -1 at 15/8 with Paddy Power.

    Odd are huge.

This is an Aberdeen team who have been beaten of my team Hearts twice this season. At the weekend they lost 3-1 away to a Partick Thistle team with a terrible home record. Yes Celtic got beaten by the Dons in the Scottish Cup game but this is the League and all that Celtic have to play for now. They are formidible away from the home crowd pressures winning 0:2 0:4 0:4 0:1 in thier last 4 away league games.

Odds are way to high against an over hyped Aberdeen team who will surely take a battering of a rampant celtic side tonight.

  140. Finchy 10 years ago

I said I would probably need 2 penalties to get over 2.5 goals, I got one at 46 mins and just got one at 91 mins, ended 2-1 to Salernitina, thank god for that… no nails left!

    • Mr. Orange 10 years ago

Thanks Finchy! Had a small bet on this one!

  141. Marquee Moon 10 years ago

I had it listed as a 2pm kick off. Twitter feed on the Hibs official site gives no score updates or anything – pi$$ poor.

  142. Cow 10 years ago

My single is Bordeaux to win very good at home and lorient have a bad away record. Treble for tonight is Luton Celtic and Dunfermline.

  143. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Cheers sparky! Bet365 didn’t put this game in inplay! Change if venue must have thrown them!

Latvian side Metta are in action! Currently 2-0 down! Got hammered 7-0 on Sunday! Over 4.5 goals 5/6 with 60 mins still to play!

  144. Yesevil 10 years ago

Sparky, people are querying it as it’s never appeared in play on Bet365 and it’s still listed as 6pm.

Nooo not a Swindon fan but I like following orient. I looked into Swindon a lot last week before going to the game on Saturday and generally keep an eye on most teams anyway.

I’m a Chelsea fan but it’s very hard and expensive to go to many of their games nowadays.

griffiths 21-45min, we change from the norm.

Aberdeen are quite tight a home goin by stats in the first half so may be a slow burner for the hoops tonight and also an under 2.5, however greg tip is over so who am i kidding :)

you could pick any of three players to score for celtic tonight but i think the goal on sunday will have gave him a lift to carry on tonight, he seemed to really enjoy scoring that goal and will want to get off the mark again tonight

may the force be with you ;)

  156. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Raal stop it your making me blush! :)

Right, this is especially for the chief. . .

St Johnstone v Motherwell KO 7.45pm

I have one question to ask! Why are Motherwell 9/4 to win tonight? A gold sticker for anyone who can answer that! Haha! There’s absolutely no way St Johnstone should be 21/20 against a team who battered them 4-0 on New Year’s Day and who are 15 points better off!

Motherwell were probably a bit unlucky to lose in the manner they did against Utd On Friday night! A defensive howler, a corner and a deflected free kick was the difference but they still looked good going forward!

Motherwell are 8/11 Double chance and that looks too big a price not to get on! The pitch is terrible so a Motherwell win and under 2.5 goals is an option!

    Back Motherwell double chance 8/11

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Greg Waiting to hear team news from Perth. Saints been hammered in betting based on rumours of injury crisis at well. If well team is semi decent I agree wholeheartedly with Ur lay of saints. Whatever teams play goals still look safer play to me.

  157. raaljaca 10 years ago

Greg, can you give me a treble for this evening please? Need to get rid of a carrier bag full of winnings so will walk up to the bookies with it. Nothing over 3/1 in total please as I can’t be arsed carrying it all back down again tomorrow :)

Raalj btts treble on the 3 spfl games tonight

  158. hammer 10 years ago

Mr F, a power play bet on paddypower has caught my eye. It is all 4 champions league teams to score tonight, at 5/2. This seems pretty good value to me, as 3 of the 4 teams (except olympiakos) have highly capable goalscorers, and all 4 teams appear to be rather leaky at the back. Even though olympiakos are lacking up front, I still can’t see united keeping a clean sheet tonight. What do you reckon?

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Hammer, looks a reasonable bet. Only doubt would be Zenit but they need to go for goals rather than sit back.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

hammer, I’m worried about Olympiakos – but maybe they’ll surprise us.

  159. craigyboy 10 years ago

I fancy Dortmund tonight but at the moment there odds aren’t great. I can see it being a tight game and it may be a late goal that will win it for Dortmund so I’m going to back them in play.
    Predictions:
    HT-Draw, FT-Dortmund
    Zenit 0-1 Dortmund

    Tonight’s Treble:
I find it very hard at the moment to back Man United and having read the current record of the Olympiakos team there home form is very strong. This season they’ve beat Anderlecht and Benfica and last season they defeated Arsenal and Montpellier. I don’t think a score draw would be the worst result for United either.
    Prediction:
    Olympiakos 1-1 Man United

Swindon are a team missing a few players and are really struggling for form. Crawley are a team on a high from a fantastic win against Walsall on Saturday and they will fancy their chances tonight.
    Prediction:
    Swindon 1-2 Crawley

Stevenage and Crewe will be looking at this game as a massive game. Neither team can afford to lose. Pressure will be more focused on the home team and Crewe have got some impressive wins away from home this season.
    Prediction:
    Stevenage 1-2 Crewe

    Accumulator:
    Olympiakos v Man United
    (Olympiakos double chance)
    Swindon v Crawley
    (Crawley double chance)
    Stevenage v Crewe
    (Crewe double chance)

I’ve also had these games in a BTTS accumulator with Stourport/Grimsby, Colchester/Sheff Utd and Oldham/MK Dons.

  163. georgeh11 10 years ago

    Double for me tonight.

    Arsenal u19s v Shakhtar Donetsk u19s
Arsenal topped there group with there only loss in the group the last game against a napoli side who needed to win to qualify! Arsenal had already beaten napoli 4-1.
Shakhtar came 2nd in their group but with same amount of points as arsenal! I fancy arsenal to take this since they are playing in england and had the harder group to qualify from. O2.5 could be a good bet too at 4/7
    Arsenal u19s 5/6

    Olympiakos v Manchester United
I think Moyes would of had a smile on his face when he saw his team draw olympiakos! They are more than capable of going to greece and getting a result tonight. They’ve had a terrible season so far by their standards but at the weekend they saw off Crystal Palace 2-0 with RVP and Rooney scoring which is a positive for them! So im going for Manchester Win 5/4

    Double pays 3.12/1

  167. Alex 10 years ago

I don’t know how, but because I went out before the UFL games came in-play today, I could only put over 4.5 and over 2.5 on the two games before the matches. Of course they ended 3-1 and 4-1 but the wrong way.

Then I have a go on the Metta game Greg put up and that finishes 2-2 when needing over 4.5 goals.

THEN Craig’s normally reliable corners bet…and that one misses too!

I don’t know how I keep missing out on your guys superb winners but it’s bumming me out!

    • Andrew 10 years ago

On the plus side though Alex, lovely price on the over 2.5 no? Think it was horsing around who said someone at 365 is getting sacked in the morning, what were they thinking haha. Lovely stuff! Like your tips for tonight as well btw!

  168. raaljaca 10 years ago

    SCUNTHORPE v BRISTOL ROVERS

JOHN JOE O’TOOLE (ANYTIME SCORER) (4/1)

For a player in form and capable of notching against anybody in this division John Joe seems way overpriced with Betfred. Also 7/2 with bet365 is perfectly acceptable.

  169. honda 10 years ago

I missed all tips today because of work and napping :)

  170. jonboy 10 years ago

Anyone not think the odds on Zenit are decent tonight against a Dortmund team that gave away so much at the weekend? 8/11 looks terrible for BVB!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

jonboy, I wouldn’t judge Dortmund on that one game. It’s difficult to call though which is why I’ve sat on the defence. Dortmund on their day are the better team by miles so Zenit need to be at their best.

    • honda 10 years ago

No need to sit on all the defenders Mr F ;)

  171. Andrew 10 years ago

Im getting used to the phone posting but I’ve got three pages open on one of these iPhone thingies, top tips, racing and 365 and switching between them means instead of wagering on BTTS for zenit v Dortmund I’ve mistakenly bet on BTTS in first half. I’m not sure if that’s an omen but I need to get that bad boy refunded!

Other than that, great afternoon no folks, and Honda? Did you wake up to profit after nappin through your nap lol?

    Andrew

    • honda 10 years ago

Same as what I had before I napped :) So tempted by Man U tonight and feel Chief’s gonna come on and say Man U win, Man U over 1.5 and Van Persie anytime :)

  172. Alex 10 years ago

Dortmund have conceded in all 3 of their away matches in this season’s UCL and in their last 9 Bundesliga away matches. Zenit haven’t been prolific at home but scored against Porto and Atletico Madrid. They also only failed to score against Austria Vienna due to an excellent defence display in the one.

    Dortmund Clean Sheet – NO – 1/2

Certainly tempting, especially after their 3-0 mauling at Hamburg.

  173. darren winch 10 years ago

Being a Luton fan I’m bound to be cautious but I thought Nuneaton was going to be tough but was easy in the end. But I do think it will be a close game tonight wrexham were the last team to beat us in the league and there is alot of history too so it wont be easy also there has been quite a bit of rain today so the pitch wont be great still im hoping for a win. But a hint of caution maybe cover it with the draw.

  174. Ryzo 10 years ago

Evening people, here’s a treble I’m on paying 1/1 this evening.

Man United draw or win (double chance)
    Zenit +2 (asian handicap)
    Motherwell +1 (asian handicap)

Fairly safe with this one and fairly confident to go with it.

  175. Johnny J 10 years ago

backing man untd the now gives me the jitters, burned this season not once but twice….

    inconsistent

but rvp gonna come good at some point again right?!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Johnny J, if doing a bet gave the jitters I wouldn’t do it.

  176. cooldude 10 years ago

Mr F in your opinion, who is the most successful football tipster on here? (apart from you)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

cooldude, everyone has their moments. I don’t keep figures on anyone so I don’t know. Greg would be tough to beat I suppose.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

dudes, the only person who will show a profit virtually every day is Greg Browning. That is my honesty opinion.

  177. Damo 10 years ago

    BET 4

    LUTON TOWN V WREXHAM
    LUTON TOWN OVER 1.5 GOALS

    28.35 to return 43.47

Luton have been very impressive at home this season and with 15 game left in the season they have already scored 4 more goals than their tally last season. Wrexhams recent away form has been a bit better but is still patchy and I reckon Luton should be able to grab a couple here. Also, the sudden loss of their manager surely can’t help Wrexhams case but you can never be sure how teams will respond to stuff like this.

    Good luck with your bets!

The only bet I’ll be on this evening for the CL games is Lewandowski anytime 6/5

  178. Ryzo 10 years ago

Johnny J, van Persie and Wayne Rooney will win united their fair share of games this season as their full fitness returns. Van Persie already into double figures and he’s barely moved through the gears. These guys are still top drawer players, just an unfortunate blip in a transitional period after a monumental change in the running of the club.

  179. Ryzo 10 years ago

The Chief, Greg B, The Dane, Alex in that order for football betting. Just my opinion.

    • Alex 10 years ago

I’ve robbed my way onto that list after my recent form haha :P

  180. Ryzo 10 years ago

    Zenit dear oh dear.

  181. Damo 10 years ago

This could get ugly for Zenit haha. I was looking at Dortmund 1.5 goals but at 8/11 just before ko thought it wasn’t worth it! doh!

    • Ryzo 10 years ago

Dortmund were far too short for my liking, looks like the bookies called this one spot on.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Ryzo, they looked a bit short. As I said don’t judge them on one Hamburg defeat but that’s an incredible start.

    • Ryzo 10 years ago

Their league form for much of the season has been rather inconsistent hence the massive points gap with Bayern. Zenits group form wasn’t overly impressive from what I can remember but was still expecting a slightly more competitive spectacle.

  182. Eagle1 10 years ago

    2-0 dortmund hot damn

but i hope up it comes up mate :)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

    Glen,
You may have already spotted it, but Betfair have a Match Odds and Both Teams to score market (the row underneath the Man U win to Nil row) for the Olympiakos v Man U game where you can lay Man Utd/Yes. Not a lot of liquidity there at the moment, but it might improve later, or enable you to cover some.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Laura, cheers. The Betfair options were pointed out to him earlier.

  190. Aray Bingo 10 years ago

With dortmund off to a flier, it now looks like 5/5 away wins so far in champs league lat 16! Think man utd, chelsea and madrid could make it 8/8, wouldve been nice odds on that id imagine when draw was made?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Aray, it’s possible. I’m on Man Utd and probably Chelsea and Real. Last week’s four paid 20-1 but this week’s will about 12s so 250-1 or so for all 8.

  203. Shaun tanner 10 years ago

After just getting over Sergio Garcia’s penalty miss in the final minute, which would of brought up my big tip yesterday, I’m back with todays.

Todays anytime scorer tip of the day was between 2 players for Scunthorpe Winnall and Madden and May for St Johnstone. In the end I’ve gone for Winnall. Scunthorpe are on a great run and I expect them to dispatch Bristol Rovers, who have a pretty woeful away record with only one win all season. This is the first time I’ve bet on Scunny since the in-famous Dagenham match where they chucked away that 3 goal lead but I expect them to take this game maybe 2-1 or 3-1, Chesterfield beat Bristol 3-1 at home at the start of the month. Winnall, who’s the highest League 2 scorer with 16 goals has 3 in his last 3 league games and must have a good chance here.

Winnall first goal 9/2 anytime 6/4 (2 single bets for me)

  204. Buck 10 years ago

Game at 8pm in Chiles Segunda division that could be good for btts / overs.

COLO COLO II VS. UNIÓN ESPAÑOLA II

Both teams are as bad as one another and concede barrel loads but that’s not to say they are goal shy. Last three meetings between the pair were 6-2, 2-1 and 4-2. Will wait and see what the goal line is when it becomes available in play.

  206. Shaun tanner 10 years ago

    NB- May (St johnstone)

    3rd Van Persie (Man Utd)

Winnall/May/Van persie anytime treble pays just under 13/1 at bet365 (1 single bet there for me) 3 in total

  207. thechief 10 years ago

Evening Guys, reading a lot of different opinions on the Man united game tonight which is good.

Olympiakos picked up 10 points from the group stages, losing only two matches both against PSG. In the home fixture they conceded in injury time. Since then they have sold top scorer Konstantinos Mitroglou to Fulham and that second top scorer Javier Saviola is injured.

Manchester United, eased through their group as winners following four wins and two draws – including a double over Bayer Leverkusen. With Juan Mata ineligible it will
Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney to lead the line. I think Man United are worth siding with here at 5/4 Various. I expect United to look to grab an away goal and if they get it early it may open the game. I will take united O1.5 goals at 29/20 William Hill.

In the goal scorer market it was between United’s front two and having already backed united, I will leave it alone as I don’t mind who scores. Instead I’m looking at Olmpiakos who face a side who have already conceded 31 Premier League goals this season. The player I want to be on here is Michael Olaitan. The Nigerian has scored seven times in his last 10 appearances. He is 7/2 at Paddy Power to score.

    MAN UNITED TO WIN 5/4
    MAN UNITED O1.5 GOALS 29/20
    OLAITAN TO SCORE 7/2

Good luck if your having a bet

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Thanks for that write up Chief. How do you feel about both to score and the Man Utd win?

Cheers Raaljaca mate, It not a bet I normally do. I read Man united have kept four clean sheets in a row in CL, but I think its going to be Vidic and Rio at the back and they don’t look as good as they was, one of the reason I’m taking a chance on Olaitan :)

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Thanks Chief. I have O’Toole of Bristol Rovers in a single but will add your guy for a small double, good luck with whatever else you do tonight mate.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Dudes, I am sure they are not allowed to offer odds on that. I remember Hills turning down someones bet on certain person to die next. Even for Powers it is over the top. I am £25 on guilty!!!

  215. Alex 10 years ago

My word that Zenit goal was stressful. I’ve seen better teams when Bournemouth were in League Two.

  216. Tonyboy 10 years ago

Zenit got a good goal back and only then did Dortmund start to take them seriously. Within 5 mins Dortmund grabbed the third to end the tie as a contest.

  217. Damo 10 years ago

I can see Dortmund grabbing a fourth after the small Zenit scare, like tonyboy says the two early goals put Dortmund to sleep for a bit and they won’t want to give Zenit that incentive again.

  218. Tonyboy 10 years ago

Cheers, Greg! Was on the vodka with a friend last night and Russian pancakes mmmhh…

  219. raaljaca 10 years ago

Sokratis Papastathopoulos limped off injured, think he tripped up over his own name!

  220. Marky mark 10 years ago

    Hulk smasssshhhh!!!!!

  221. Ryzo 10 years ago

Zenit are pure gash but fair play to them hanging in there after a woeful start.

  222. Tonyboy 10 years ago

3-2 to Dortmund. Good going Raal on Btts!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Tonyboy, I might lump on 8-5 for Dortmund at this rate!!

  223. Ryzo 10 years ago

    This is unbelievable

  224. Damo 10 years ago

Lewandowski next goal at 7/1 after the penalty, thought they would grab a fourth and after 3-2 was almost sure of it!
Big mans making this good game great for me!

  225. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Had a bit of time to have a look at tonight English games!

    Stevenage v Crewe KO 7.45pm

The visitors have certainly improved in recent weeks Scoring 2 or more in 5 of their last 7 and have picked up some impressive points (3-0 win v Sheff Utd, 2-2 away to Bradford and a 3-1 win away to port vale last time out – squeezed either side of a 1-3 defeat against one of the best teams in league ( Brentford

Stevenage are 9 points from safety and look doomed! Crewe for me look good value on the double chance market at 4/7 given their recent good form!

    Preston v Rotherham KO 7.30pm

Rotherham are 15 from 18 over 2.5 goals and face a tough rest away to fellow promotion hopefuls Preston! Rotherham have conceded in 8 of their last 9! Can see both scoring here

    BTTS – 1/1
    Over 2.5 goals 4/5

  226. Richard 10 years ago

Damo – definitely with you on the Colo Colo game though unfortunately I think the bookies are wise to the potential for goals in this one.

Before that though there’s a bit of a bonkers bet I quite fancy the look of

Griffiths to score in first 20 mins @ 14.0

The thinking is Celtic will be out for revenge and with Griffiths getting off the mark against Hearts he should be in confident mood.

Celtic are actually more prolific away from home than at home as they tend to get a bit more space and expecting Aberdeen to attack from the outset tonight though of course it’s still an outside bet

    • Damo 10 years ago

Yeah I saw over 2.5 was very short at 2/7, what I did notice was that in the h2h meetings the majority of the goals came in the second half so might be able to get a decent price for o3.5 after a while inplay if that trend continues.

I’m in Moscow in a bar and the locals love to see Zenit lose. Big rivalry with all the Moscow clubs! Raal, to say the Zenit players are rusty would be a massive understatement!

Tip for anyone looking at the other Russian clubs in next couple of days in other European matches ;))

Teams im already backing include Man utd, celtic,Luton and rotherham to score 2+ @ 6/5,ive seen they are missing an inform goal scorer but im still willing to chance them scoring at that price, a 3-2 defeat and ill still be a winner.

Banbury United V Stourbridge, 7.45pm Evo Stik Southern

Not sure if theyve already been written about on todays thread and if they have i apologize as i dont wish to steal your thunder but ill also be having a punt on the Banbury v Stourbridge game,i fancy there to be a few goals scored in this one mostly from the away side,They are the divisions 2nd top scorers with 83 goals from 31 games, thier last 6 games have seen over 3.5 match goals and apart from the 4-1 defeat in thier last game against top of the table hemel hempstead theyve scored 5,4,5,2,4 in thier previous five lg games.
They have scored 17 goals in thier last 5 games whilst banbury have conceded 18 in last 5 and in thier last 5 aways Stourbridge have scored 16 conceding 4.
Over 3.5 goals in the match is available @ 1.9,thats £1.90 returned on every £1 staked. Id also advise looking at the inplay markets on this game and looking at the Stourbridge to score over 2.5 team goals, which should net us a decent price.
    PREVIOUS GAMES RESULTS:
    3:2
    0:2
    8:1
    4:1

Thanks Raalj hard work this punting lark just been for a mooch round Perth looking for some dinner! Perth city centre is more like the scene from a western! Talk about a desolate town! Heres hoping I at least see a decent game tonight!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Hope it is a decent game Sparky but hard to tell. Greg reckons a poor pitch so that might kill it. Beware anywhere you go into if the piano player stops playing and everyone stares at you!!

  236. Damo 10 years ago

    Over 1.5 Team Goals Treble

    Celtic
    Man U
    Motherwell

    11/1

  237. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Haha, Sparky, ghost town comes to mind! A decent number of places to eat though depending on what you fancy!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Sparky is from Edinburgh so preferably something dead as opposed to the local cuisine!!!

    • Sparky 10 years ago

Greg I searched high and low for something decent to eat at a place with people in it and drew a complete blank! Ended up with a king rib supper and an irn bru from chippy in south street! :(

  238. Sparky 10 years ago

By the way it’s proper p#shing down now at Perth if anyone wants to factor the weather into their bets here

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Some money coming for St Johnstone to win Sparky but both Ladbrokes and Corals have shortened the prices for under 2.5 goals, probably factoring in the weather.

  239. alec 10 years ago

think hard game most people think man u win that do for me small bets man u ht ft man u win gd luck to allpunters

  240. Sparky 10 years ago

Oh just for the Muppets this one Perth is located in the centre of Scotland and is not the one in western Australia! :)

  241. captain 10 years ago

    PLYMOUTH X2
    WWLLW FLEETWOOD (4) v (9) PLYMOUTH XXLWW (52-50) (-12)
Don’t rule out a third straight away win for the Pilgrims here. Fleetwood miss their top scorer David Ball plus Matt and Hughes while they are desperate for Taylor and McLaughlin to recover from illness. Plymouth have a couple doubtful but Trotman is back after a ban. Plymouth double chance is 21/20 with Bet365 when Paddy Power, more accurately go 5/6.

  242. Greg Browning 10 years ago

The rain should help as the pitch was slow bobbly and dry against ICT! Can beat a bit if zip!

Raal, didn’t you know Perth is famous for its Piano bars, haha!

  246. Sparky 10 years ago

Raalj I did notice a canal street in Perth and quickly sped up! Lol

  247. Greg Browning 10 years ago

The locals don’t go out much during the week Soarky – you’re not in Kansas anymore! Haha!

Ah, sounds like you’ve gone to holgates beside Tescos! Decent chippy!

Got to be a chance for the Rooney and Rooney anytime double tonight!!??

  249. honda 10 years ago

Well if Rooney scores its safe to say its in ;)

  250. The UHT 10 years ago

I like a couple of trebles in lower league tonight. One’s more of a punt, but an interesting one!

    All K-Os 7.45pm.

    Non-League Treble Of Doom
A bit of a punt this one, but why not? In the Conference Prem, everybody likes Luton, who’re 4/9 to beat struggling Wrexham, who parted company with boss Andy Morrell. In the Conference North, you could do worse than getting on Colwyn Bay at 5/6 whose opponents, second-bottom of the league, Gloucester City have just given manager Dave Mehew his cards, too. And for a really tricky treble, why not nip back up to the Conference Prem and get on Woking, 5/2 away at Kidderminster, whose Chairman, Mark Serrell’s just resigned!
    That pays at 9.26

    More Standard Non-League Treble
All the teams I like in this treble have run out of steam a little of late, having all been on really good runs a few weeks back. Most of that is down to games being cancelled, and better teams needing to develop momentum again. They all play teams tonight that they should beat. On this occasion, I won’t go through the ins and outs of the stats, but I think they’re all decent shouts. My one concern is Met Police’s influential captain Steve Sutherland potentially still being out. They’ve missed him but he has a fitness test tonight. We’d like him to be playing.

    Northern Premier League
    Barwell v Ashton – AWAY 10/11

    Isthmian League
    East Thurrock v Kingstonian – AWAY 4/5
Metropolitan Police v Enfield Town – HOME 4/5

    That treble pays at 6.18.

    . . .

    Good luck tonight, everybody!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

UHT, you need to select your games in advance, send Sparky to watch them and then meet up at Easter Road for a report on how the sides played! That laddie will go anywhere to see a game of football. Actually that rules out meeting at Easter Road ;)

  251. honda 10 years ago

Or did you mean the other Rooney? :)

  252. raaljaca 10 years ago

Man Utd and Aberdeen Rooneys honda ;)

  253. honda 10 years ago

    Haha thought so Raal :)

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Honda, that double is around 10/1 for anytime and isn’t the daftest bet I have seen. Surprised some bookie hasn’t latched on to it and offered a wee bit extra for it.

    • honda 10 years ago

Certainly isn’t, and a big price too for the double, single prices can’t be too shabby either!

  254. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Anyone on Southend tonight, they have a defensive crisis Luke Prosser and Julien Bennett are out and Luke O’niell and Cian Bolger have gone back to their parent clubs.

Don’t want to put anyone off, just thought it was worth mentioning, I was going to take a Northampton forward had hoped somebody had 15 goals this season and 5 in his last 5, but their top scorer has Three goals, so had to leave it.

  259. cooldude 10 years ago

    Lets make this quick then:

Aberdeen v Celtic BTTS – Evens
Fleetwood Over 1.5 Team Goals – Evens
Sheff Utd to win and over 2.5 Match Goals – 13-5

Treble pays 13.4 to 1, but in addition to some of the really promising looking tips from the thread, ill be doing this as a Trixie since I feel pretty good about it.

    Good luck lads!

  288. raaljaca 10 years ago

Damn! John Rooney scored for Chester, missed that one :)

  289. Richard 10 years ago

Anyone else find it strange Bet 365 still have Celtic favourites tonight given such an early sending off to the second top side in the league who just beat them away – 2/1 on Aberdeen is surely a good shout given our best centre half has been sent off

    • swany 10 years ago

Very strange Richard but took the 2/1 quick

  302. cooldude 10 years ago

Raal, if Man Utd win tonight, there is one lucky punter on here tonight!

  303. Richard 10 years ago

Sending off in the Colo Colo game – hopefully will lead to some more opportunities

2/1 on Aberdeen looking like a steal now

    • Damo 10 years ago

0-3 now, I did say he majority of the goals seemed to come in the 2nd half. Hopefully we get one more to top off a good night! Well good with the exception of the team goals treble but that was always a longshot!

  304. Alasu57 10 years ago

Alec, game of 2 halves mate, im not watching the game, but im a big admirer of Moyes & Utd, they have a history of comebacks,,, NEVER give up hope after 45mins….

  305. cooldude 10 years ago

rather tense 2nd half for him :)

  306. cooldude 10 years ago

    Howay Dartford, get another.

  326. hsta 10 years ago

Think I’ve seen enough of “crawley dangerous attack” for one night so I’ve cashed out on my main single of a swindon win, after 70 mins and 1-0 up.

Another very good night for me, 4/4 so far this week assuming theres not a HUGE upset about to happen.

3 points – Swindon to beat Crawley @ 6/4 – WIN (cashed out 75 mins)

Second bet – 1 point treble:
    Chelsea u19 to beat milan
    Luton to beat Wrexham
    Dunfermline to beat Arbroath
    @ 2.7/1 – WIN

    Rolling tally this week:
    Start – 3 points
    Current – 12.5 points

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

hsta, nice one. Got to say well done to Annan for saving the “safe” treble. Winning with 10 men from 1-0 down was impressive. Pity Man Utd couldn’t show the same fight.

    • hsta 10 years ago

Cheers Mr F! Good work on the treble, annan sounds like a quality game!

  327. minty 10 years ago

Boom !! Mr Fs Treble looking good Annan , Dunfermline , Luton get in !!!

  328. top trumps 10 years ago

Fergie got out of man utd at right time, Rooney thinks he is playing park football rio finished smalling poor cleverly rubbish midfield non existent apart from that they are good

  329. minty 10 years ago

And that’s with Annan down to ten men !!

  330. cooldude 10 years ago

Man utd are nothing but a disgrace tonight and not for the first time. Wayne Rooney done nothing going forward the whole game and this is the man who is earning 300k a week.
    Disgusting and despicable.
People need to know if Fergie was still there Rooney may not get his cake like he did with Moyes, in fact he may not be even at the club. Thats exactly were Utd have gone wrong; valuing a player above the club.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Very well put point of view dudes.

    • cooldude 10 years ago

Raal, thats only half the battle then theres Moyes starting 11 but Im not in the mood for it.

  334. Michael 10 years ago

Dartford obviously taking it easy against 10 men and not bothering to get Greg’s over 2.5!

  335. hsta 10 years ago

oh I love it! Thank you cash out feature! Swindon have conceded!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

      Great move hsta ;)

    • hsta 10 years ago

Cheers raal… A bit lucky but if anyone knows how to do something silly in a match and throw it away, its Swindon. Prior today they were something like 2 red cards and 2 pens in the last 3 games… plus their striker is battling another court case, lost count of how many he’s been in now… Crazy team.

  336. minty 10 years ago

Thanks Mr F had two hundred on the treble happy days , tried to advise to steer clear of utd

  337. Cammy 10 years ago

1 bet made me a profit overall on the night but Wayne Rooney and John Joe O’Toole can go to the bottom of the class.

David Moyes for a knighthood I wonder what odds I can get on that hahaha

About to cash out on the Swindon game for my treble to have money for golf bets tomorrow and Crawley score as I’m scrolling to the cash out button… very very annoyed!

  345. alec 10 years ago

said yesterday risky bet man utd hop gt money back i lost backing them crazy chelsea tomorow gt faith with chosen one

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

alec, all bets at evens or over are risky. Go through the comments and see how many people actually put up winners today – there will be more losers. Scunthorpe (again) for example.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Mr F, I would say all bets are risky. If there was no risk attached then we would not be getting odds on them. It just seems some people are desperate to win money and that is taking away any kind of enjoyment from it and creating pressure and at times snide remarks if a tip goes down. The thread isn’t about that it is about helping find winners that will make us all profit LONG term.

  346. Caleb 10 years ago

Should of trusted mr fixit with his safd treble cant believe I added united to the treble with luton and annan nightmare

  347. Johnny J 10 years ago

3/5 bets won today need another winner to come out in profit today.

  348. deeky 10 years ago

snap caleb i added man u to treble!

  349. seifer 10 years ago

Mr fix i was thinking about ur super single and i was wondering could you put up a “sure pick” even if the odds are only 1/2 usually, u will hit a bucket load with ur knowledge in betting a making picks.
This would be great for the punters than come on here, putting money on super singles, and are breaking even at best. a sure pick would hit a alot more, am sure u would do well with something like that.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

selfer, guys on here are shrewd enough to know about “sure” trebles. I gave you a “safe” treble – that not good enough.

    • PeteT 10 years ago

No Paul, you gave them 3 ‘safe’ singles which you then suggested they rolled in a treble! ;)

Seriously though, can you imagine the grief you’d get if a 1/3 or 1/4 shot didn’t come in (oh and before anyone says that wouldn’t happen just think napoli last night – a 3/10 shot I think!)

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

seifer, look at Rangers etc at the weekend. There is no ‘sure pick’. People are knocking the Super Single but every type of bet will have good and bad runs. The Super Single went 4 in a row earlier last week and will do again. If anybody is relying on betting to earn money then they need help.

  350. Graeme 10 years ago

oh well onto tomorrow I guess, last Wednesday was the last SS to win, hopefully Wednesday brings luck again for us all!
will Chelsea be the only team to win their first leg in champions league…I really don’t think so, I think draw all over Chelsea game?

  351. Jim 10 years ago

Haha no apologies needed Greg, good win for you’re boys and well done with your tips mate.

Man utd were dire, I think I need one of them doughnuts :)

  354. robroy85 10 years ago

I think its time for Moyes to leave now. He’s just not right for United. Doesnt have a winning attitude, and has no authority. He did well at Everton, but Martinez has come in and taken them to the next level. I hope he does the right thing and leaves tomorrow morning!

    • cooldude 10 years ago

Robroy85, how ironic is it that Moyes recently accused Rooney of being “a bit soft” and then goes along and rewards him with a sickening new contract. what the f*ck did he do recently that deserves that??
Nothing out of the ordinary. To my eyes Rooney is only ticking over lately. Perhaps its Moyes who’s gone a bit soft.
      http://www.irishtimes.com/sport/soccer/english-soccer/david-moyes-told-wayne-rooney-he-d-gone-soft-1.1701764

    • robroy85 10 years ago

Yes Rooneys been OK, but definately not worthy of a new contract. I can only assume that Moyes wants to keep him in order to attract other players, and avoid a mass exodus.

Im anxiously looking forward to the summer to see what happens!

  355. Andy 10 years ago

Took the safe treble in the end aswell, down on cash but not as down as I could have been.

Don’t think I’ll be backing Man U again this season, I refused to back them earlier in the season after watching Cleverly and Fellani attempting to play in their midfield.

Anyway onwards and upwards for tommorow.

  356. Johnny J 10 years ago

Top work on the treble Mr F, particularly Annan!

Fortunately, I somehow turned a profit thanks to some quality tips here, Bordeaux in particular so thanks for that one Greg/Alex!

Landed one out of 3 on my Trixie:
Aberdeen v Celtic BTTS – WON
Fleetwood over 1.5 team goals – LOST
Sheff Utd to win and over 2.5 Match Goals – LOST

Big thanks to Damo on his challenge bet. ITV interviewer deserves a clip, never thought id say this but felt sorry for Carrick just then.

    Now on to day 6:

Back to Switzerland – Sion v Young boys KO 17.30

    Over 2.5 match goals 21/20

  363. minty 10 years ago

Raaljica even Mr fs both teams to score copped 4 out of 5 as advised to perm them !!! Only the utd game I was skeptical with and cavoided look I me the plague ! But that’s what it is all about using your own thoughts with the great tips on here

  364. seifer 10 years ago

i just think lads a sure pick on the site, would be a good thing, i’m sure alot would agreed. i know the are no sure things in sport but a super single suggests something u can back with confidence and in terms of strike rate a sure pick would hit alot more. As ye do have good picks and know ur sport.
if u don’t think is a good suggestion gang no bother, was just a thought and i think it would go well.

    • PeteT 10 years ago

Seifer – the idea is great but ‘safe’ bets are impossible to find. There’s also a need for value in the bet – take napoli losing last night (which we now know lost). At odds of 3/10 you have the following outcomes:

      WIN BET £30 profit
      LOSE BET £100 loss

With a losing bet you now need just over winning bets at 3/10 odds to break even again.

The super single combines a decent chance with odds of circa evens which means that as long as 1 in 2 win (approximately) you are breaking even and better. The strike rate of the 2014 has been dreadful compared to what we have come accustomed to – we have had a few winning runs but it’s been tougher than last year.

It’s tough – with any bet there are risks but the potential return has to warrant the risk of losing my stake before I part with my cash.

    • Damo 10 years ago

Seifer, it might hit more but your profit margin might not change much. Needs to be very consistent at odds of 1/2, 7 out of 7 at 1/2 gives you 3.5 points profit and 5 out of 7 returns 0.5 points profit but if you only get 4 out of 7 you’re already down a point.

    • Andrew 10 years ago

Have to go with the concensus here seifer,

For me, of all the so-called big hitters on tonight, the only really ‘sure-fire’ bet was Luton. Mr F even said he considered team goals for this for his overs series, but for the SS Luton for no bigger than 4-9 with Ladbrokes.

I would have to risk 9 pound to win 4 pound. That would need to be successful very regularly because as Pete rightly points out, when you lose you lose so much more because the potential profits are reduced. At evens I stand to double my money, therefore I only need to be around 45% successful above this price to turn a profit. Sorry to be long winded about it but imagine the flak that would get posted if a 1-3 winner didn’t come in as a SS.

I see your point but the trebles are pretty accurate, maybe you could double your two favourites or something?

      Andrew

  365. minty 10 years ago

Seifer I agree with you to a certain extent , however taking things into account , utd are not in the greatest of form at the moment , secondly they are playing away from home against a team that is very good at home , I advised staying clear of this match before it started , but glad to say hit all of mr fs other tips !!!

  366. pablo 10 years ago

Man Utd shocking all them players that our on mega wagers Moyes not the only one to blame tonight players are the ones that are paid to perform on the pitch should be accounted for. All players should be on the same wage and bonus paid on how player or team performs its a joke £300.000 a week. To add to insult we hard working punters that go and watch the game also spend our hard earn money on betting joke

  367. cooldude 10 years ago

Robroy, Im seething here now, how could they shame the club so bad on a night like that champions league ko stage.

    • robroy85 10 years ago

Its embarrassing…the players have been awful this season, but we know they have they potential to do better. Ive been right behind Moyes from day 1, but its clear to see that he cant get them motivated/ organised. The jobs too big for him and I think he knows it too

  368. minty 10 years ago

Biggest mistake Moyes made lads was getting rid of Ferguson’s back room staff as soon as he came , should have kept them for at least a season , if he was at Chelsea he’d be sacked by now lol !

  369. JMS 10 years ago

Greg, what site do you use for betting?

  370. pablo 10 years ago

Just pissed off Andrew at my self for backing UTD even Derek McGovern in the daily mirror backed against Utd

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

pablo, Racing Post back page lead was Man Utd – loads of people tipped them. They just didn’t turn up.

  371. minty 10 years ago

Sad fact is though Pablo if the players don’t want to play for the manager they won’t , maybe that why Van Persie will be back at Arsenal next season !!!!

    • pablo 10 years ago

Minty your probably right i think there is problems at UTD the players have no Converdance in there manager and Rooney’s new mega contact will rock the foundations

  372. seifer 10 years ago

cheers bud glad it makes since to someone

  373. Joe 90 10 years ago

Mr f. nice treble. Hit it big but added scunthorpe. Aw naw. Keep up the good work.

  374. minty 10 years ago

    Totally agree Robroy ,

  375. tommyred 10 years ago

Perhaps a bit of a long shot but I’m quite interested by the 10:45 game between Velez Sarsfield and Athletico PR. In the last 3 games for Velez, there has been 4 goals, 3 goals and 5 goals, and for Athletico 3 goals, 4 goals and 3 goals.

5/4 for over 2.5 goals looks overpriced and I will be on it.

  376. ChrLz 10 years ago

    @Minty

How do i perm bets in bet365?

  377. seifer 10 years ago

damo i think, it would be good for the punter, that maybe don’t follow this site everyday, just the odd few days.
they pop on, see the pick, chance its hits are 75% at least.
people on here everyday, shrewd punters can take it or leave it, would be good for many tho.

    • Damo 10 years ago

End of the day there’s no perfect method of betting and everybody will prefer different ways to try and beat the bookies. Just go with what you are comfortable with and what works best for you.

    • Davie-S 10 years ago

I agree Damo, but iv’e found i’m spreading my bank roll on a lot of bets since iv’e been on here, and it’s not so easy to keep track of profit n losses now, the key as usual is discipline, i enjoy gambling but i enjoy winning more, so going to reign in the bets and find a daily bet that i’m confident will give me a long term profit, that’s not to say i will not be jumping in when i see a value bet, after all we are all gamblers at heart, it’s the shrewd and disciplined gamblers that are also winners…

    • Fitba Tips 10 years ago

      Davie

An excel spread-sheet makes it easy to keep track. there are loads of templates online with the formula filled in too. Only takes a second to populate the sheet once youve paced your bet. If you’re sserious about making profit, and you seem to be, do a wee google search and you’ll find one.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Fitba Tips, just read the Rangers match report for tomorrow’s Record and you’ll be pleased to hear keeper Cammy Bell was a star man.

    • Fitba Tips 10 years ago

      Was always a big fan

      :D

That’s 10 in a row now for that particular bet. Really need to consider limiting myself to that bet only but sure where’s the fun in that?

    • Fitba Tips 10 years ago

I recall against Stennie there was a last minute goalmouth stramash too that should have ended up in the net. you need a bit of luck though dont you?

My wife keeps telling me I used all my luck on her. Maybe there’s something she’s not elling me.

    • Davie-S 10 years ago

Cheers for that Fitba, i’ll check that out, oh i’m deadly serious about gambling to make profit, fed up with just punting for the sake of it, and not really having a long term game plan, or a true idea of profits n losses…

    • Fitba Tips 10 years ago

Great, cause it can be done. Set yourself goals, a plan, something to aim for and take it from there. If you have milestones to reach along the way they provide encouragement when you hit them.

Be prepared though, it’s a slog with peaks and troughs but the key aim is not to go broke!!! So make a staking plan, only betting within those limits and be prepared to lower your stakes if you lose consistently for a while. Bankroll management is key to success and though it might seem like you’re piddling into the wind at times consider the alternative, throwing money into the wind.

  378. minty 10 years ago

Hey there’s Deandre treble in the NBA fingers crossed get your losses back on his treble I’m deffo investing some of my winnings later

  379. Shaun tanner 10 years ago

I always think a good tip is something that might not stick out to you or others at first but also something with a bit of value. ‘safe bets’ aren’t tips they’re obvious to any football punter but more importantly the bookies.

  380. Sparky 10 years ago

I’ve said it before on here and I’ll say it again a good tip is one ill back again tomorrow whether it won or lost. Not very bet wins but as long as it’s well researched with sound reasoning then that’s all you can ask.

There’s no sound reasoning analysis or form for backing man utd tonight!

    • Sean Ireland 10 years ago

Sparky, the reason for backing utd was probably based on thier champions lg form this season which before tonight was as good as any,to score 5 goals away at Leverkusen was very impressive and the fact that they hadnt conceded a goal in lat 4 group games, there was also the fact that Olympiakos were stuffed home and away by one of ‘the bigger clubs’ PSG which suggested United could and should have caused them problems, those were the main reasons they were being backed, thier champions lg form up until tonight was far more impressive than thier prem lg form.
Anyway im sure there will be plenty backing them at a decent price to overturn it at home wont there ;)

Iv’e been trying a daily double for the last 6 nights Seifer rather than a SS at odds of evens or above, the thinking being two shorter odds are safer than one at 50/50 obviously this is nonsense as it works out the same odds, but two shall we say safer bets versus one risky makes me feel more confident, but it’s not easy, for instance over the last few days i have been let down by Dortmund at short odds on and Napoli, got a result tonight at odds of 3/1 for my very risky but well researched and confident double, i’m happy with two short odds on to give me from evens to 2/1 or thereabout’s, it’s just personal choice and what you are confident with…

Sparky, how was your trip to the shire?

King rub supper up to much! :)

    • Sparky 10 years ago

Greg. The king rib supper was murder! So I supplemented it with a half time pie! Not bad the saintees pies I must say!

Comprehensive victory for st johnstone tonight 3 nothing was the least it should have been. Motherwell were wretched and look a tired outfit. The market certainly got it right and surprisingly well were pretty much at full strength!

I’m certainly glad in the end I didn’t back ross county and motherwell tonight!

Was looking at tomorrows limited games, and came across FC Sion V Young Boys. Sion are next to bottom with 17 points, and have lost their last SEVEN games. Young Boys are second and have won seven of their last nine games.

You can get 1/1 and above for Young Boys. Why? It doesn’t make sense.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Alan, same as countless people today asked why Scunny were evens.

  385. Mark1976 10 years ago

Nice five fold Mr F in the btts and the treble up aswell, I know you’ll be disappointed as you like the SS to land aswell. I am feeling a big one coming soon maybe 4 score draws again.

    VELEZ SARFIELD Vs ATHLETICO PR
    BTTS
    13/8

Been mentioned already but the price for goals here looks too generous. It’s a Copa game which means it will be tight but it’s started pretty open in the middle of the park and there should be chances for both sides to grab a goal. I’ll be looking to take a chance here and follow up from the Argentina match last night. Both sides are good enough to expect to win and I don’t think we will see PR trying to defend a point.

  387. minty 10 years ago

Chrlz I don’t work with bet 365 but Ladbrokes on the betslip it actually says for example 4 folds and 5 fold ACCA , mr f might know

  388. Neil 10 years ago

Im on this Velez game. BTTS 7/5 and on the corners with you Craig.

  389. Shaun tanner 10 years ago

I never had a bet tonight on the man utd game tonight. If I did I would have gone for a utd win. A lot of the write ups and comments ive read across the web today, have all read in utds favour. Yes league form has not been great but utd have probably played their best football this season in the champions league. I can see why mr F went for them, I still think man u have a chance to qualify.

  390. seifer 10 years ago

i only pop the odd time, i don’t follow alot.
i did the big hitter 3 fold the other day cause i liked it. that was a sure thing for me, only liverpool gave a scare in that. That was a nice bet. i like to see mr fixs picks, gives me a another point of view on the game. which is great.
i mostly stick to tennis, with only the two outcomes on the event. If i stayed on here to much, i would burn a hole in my pocket, so just for the info, no follow but i like the picks and the site and views from people on events. good luck with the pick gang

  391. minty 10 years ago

Pablo totally agree with you , Moyes came in ” I want to do it my way’ so he gets rid of existing coaching staff that’s been tried and tested ,
And unfortunately for the club and fans it’s biting him on the backside now, and I so not feel sorry for him at all , sis not make sense to MW at all getting rid of utds coaching staff , and the players must be thinking this isn’t whatqe are used to !! What’s going on !!

  392. deeky 10 years ago

Craig alves wish i seen that before backing under 9 corners at full time

  393. Sean Ireland 10 years ago

An absolutely awful to watch Man utd and im a lifelong united supporter born n bred in manc before moving back to my roots in N.Ireland and Celtic let me down tonight on my treble with Luton.
But the Two teams i posted write ups and stats on in my earlier posts came up trumps on singles to save an awful night.

Rotherham to score 2+ team goals @ 6/5 came in very early 9 mins in a 3-3 draw, remember for next time thats now 8 on the trotsky that theyve managed it

Stourbridge to score 3+ team goals again at 6/5 came up in 59 mins and for over 3.5 match goals @ 9/10 which came in on 77 mins.Keep an eye on them for overs in future games.
Congrats if anyone managed to back the picks :)

  394. minty 10 years ago

Mr F I’m not sure where the likes of the Mirror get there stats from,or qether they use stats or not , I personally use now goal.com ,, on this match Olypiakoa has scored an average of 2.7 goals in there last 10 games, together with the fact utd were playing away in a hostile ground I very nearly went with a home win wish I had now, but decided it was a no game ,,tell me your stats are outstanding mr f do use a certain method or stats site ??

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

minty, as a journalist I have access to loads of stats. That stat is fair enough but remember those games are in a weak Greek league and they’ve lost their star striker.

  395. minty 10 years ago

Sorry that should have read 2.7 goals in last 20 games!!!

  396. Blue Mooner 10 years ago

Craig Alves .. wat way does the race to corners work mate, cheers.

  397. Deebo 10 years ago

    Bad night for me

Had Chesterfield to win Both teams score
    Preston Draw
    Luton -2
Let my heart rule my head with United win

Reckon Smalling would struggle back in Non League football at the moment and there is nothing Cleverley about Tom. Think Nani would of made a difference tonight , he’d of made the others look good !! Working in Liverpool tomorrow fuck me I’m going to get slated .

  398. minty 10 years ago

Mr f very true , I think that’s why I went a no play in the end totally together with utd current form , ,I think on that one its a personal choice where you wanted to lean , me personally was a no bet game , but homed in on your treble and both teams to score shame about Dunfermline game , but a very tidy profit thank you , hope you didn’t think I was knocking your single , I wasn’t just debating :-)

  399. Richard 10 years ago

One match that’s caught the eye tonight

    Argentina Primera B Metro

    Temperley vs Tristan Suarez

This one’s just based on recent form but Temperley seem to be going against the grain in what is generally a very low scoring league.

    Their last 5 matches in all competitions have ended 4-3, 3-3, 2-3, 1-2, 1-2

Tristan are by no means as free scoring but their last 2 have also gone over 2.5 which is the goal line here.

    Over 2.0,2.5 ftg @2.10
    over 0.5,1.0 fhg @1.775

  400. Craig alves 10 years ago

Over 4.5 ht wins (5-0 Velez ) so all bets looking good atm :)

bluemoon race to corners is just a race between the 2teams playing, neither is the other option for covering wise.

Deeky, could still be unders but gotta feel Velez will push on for the 2md.

  401. lee cunliffe 10 years ago

Minty to be fair the Greek league isn’t strong, they sild their leading striker to Fulham, next best striker was injured and had a loanee arsenal player score. If man u had turned up and played like they did at weekend they would have won. Tactics were wrong man u midfield defended from half way line put no pressure on and invited attacks expecting them to lack quality, it back fired but man utd went away to arsenal and drew, away to palace and won ahead of this game so no reason to fear backing man utd. We didn’t turn up tonight and u can blame moyes, players, tactics or whatever but man utd shouldn’t have struggled tonight like they did

Hey guys what is the betting site that has the most games and leagues to bet on?

  403. Damo 10 years ago

    MILLONARIOS VS. ATLÉTICO HUILA

    BTTS 1/1
    OVER 2.5 GOALS 4/5

Huilas 7 games this season has seen plenty of goals (F 15, A 13) with 6 of the 7 going BTTS. They managed to score four away to Santa Fe who sit top. Millonarios games haven’t been quite as free flowing with goals but there has still been enough to convince me this is a good shout. Of the last 5 meetings between the two 4 have been btts and 4 have been over 2.5 goals.

  406. seifer 10 years ago

u could always just do as an experiment, see how it go’s, one per week, lock of the week. i know i would be on it.
i know napoli were 1/3 last night and was a shocker, but napoli are mugs and not to be trusted sometimes and they played a good team, so is a no bet, unless u fade them.
thumbs up for a lock of the week!!!!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

selfer, I’ve got a few things I plan to do when the site changes so maybe do it then. You want one for Wednesday – what about Real Madrid?

  409. Craig alves 10 years ago

good stuff Deeky,Velez plmeiras huachipento comercial and Athletico rafaela all teams to look out for corner wise

  410. Craig alves 10 years ago

Neil 1more wouldve bn good for the 11/4 shot but 3/4 so cant complain, only had £3 singles amd £1 on RT9 but decnt profit for small stakes :)

  411. Neil 10 years ago

Aye great tipping mate made a few quid myself. Im on your bets too Damo.

  412. seifer 10 years ago

    Schalke v Real Madrid 1.52
i like the pick, but they are away.
Than again tho, they are playing great football. maybe best team on planet now, a draw would do them, but they should be way too good for schalke. i think would work well in a accumulator
Good luck with the changes on site
    cheers mr fixit

  413. seifer 10 years ago

    Tottenham and real double maybe
    anyway its late
    nite all

  414. JMS 10 years ago

    Yes Damo!!

Also, one of the Millonarios players is for some reason wearing a swimming cap, I’ve seen bandana’s and stuff but that’s just odd.
