For me yes 1 point is £10 but for others it could be £1 or £20. I only quote it to show my level of confidence in each tip, for example I quoted 10 points on my cricket double with nz to best England, and 1 point on Scotland to beat England. It also helps with discipline as I try to not stake more than 10 points a day

They only lost to Ireland last Week remember. Well I’m somewhat fuming with myself for busting the rolling acca yesterday. It was a coin toss between two and in the end I went for Schiavone and Harrison over Kokkinakis and Harrison, and unsurprisingly Schiavone lost while Kokkinakis won. I won’t be making that mistake again – short priced women favourites just aren’t as reliable as men!
So here I go again. I’ll be starting with a £10 stake, but if you do feel inclined to follow then obviously do so with whatever amount you fancy (though not too large- the whole point here is to start with a stake I won’t be upset about losing and trying to snowball it) or feel free to back it as a stand-alone single.

This will be Young’s 10th match in 16 days, and despite his good form over that period, I’m expecting it to work against him. He is coming off the back of one of the biggest weeks of his career, reaching his second ever ATP final and first in front of his own fans, where he fell to Ivo Karlovic and his monster serve in Delray Beach.
Harrison, in contrast, is well rested, having taken the week off after his good showing in Memphis. He has played two matches in Acupulco already, both of which were very comfortable victories. He seems to have carried his impressive level from his match against Nishikori last week forward, and with two good wins here already is well set up for this all American clash. Young will have had very little time to get settled in and practice on the courts here, having had to travel the 3,000 or so Kilometres from Florida to Acupulco. Given the edge in freshness and the level he’s played at in his last few matches, I think Harrison will take this one.

Just shows you are human like the rest of us Ad ;-) joking aside for me in tennis sometimes a coin toss as you call it does enter the fray when finally choosing a player and of course the call is wrong at times which really should not come into it when finally selecting the bet, its always better being 100 % sure within yourself when putting the bet on instead of relying on the toss of a coin .
But this is one of my major gripes about tennis betting especially womens betting ridiculous odds on get humped remarkably to often for my liking.

PPF, I share your gripe with Tennis betting. Like UFC showed last night, betting on a sport when you’re relying on one person is risky. How many days do people wake up and not feel up to it? One bad moment and confidence can be the killer. At least in team sports you can rely on other players to help out. Me personally I stay clear of Tennis/Darts and probably now UFC with the shock of 9 underdogs winning last night in Brazil (typed in an 8 fold on the Bet Calculator, 8 million pounds later for a £10…) find it much easier when bets are won based on team play. NBA and NFL are by far the most successful gambling sports I’ve been involved in. Football too but obviously still throws up more surprises than what NBA or NFL would throw.
That especially goes for racing. A horse can’t tell you how its feeling.
Jordan i used to bet on NBA,MLB,NHL but all of these bets were done solely on no research and only done on a whim with no real success.
I have totally changed the way i bet nowadays and i find i am enjoying betting instead of just going through the motions of betting for betting’s sake and this is down to Mr F and this site and the people on here.
I still ah’m wary on US sports though but that’s where you and a few others come into play and i have yet to fully throw my dosh at US betting again but when i do rest assured i will be like a leech and sticking to your thoughts and selections with the other usual suspects.

Giraldo just isn’t that great away from clay. And, unsurprisingly, that’s where he’s been spending his time lately. He’s coming off the back of three clay court tournaments, the first of which he lost to Montanes in the first round, the second of which he did well in before falling to Cuevas in the semis, and the third of which he retired a set and a break down to Monaco in the first round. Krajicek won 5 matches on the indoor courts at Memphis before coming very close to knocking out eventual winner Kei Nishikori. He’s won two matches here on the hard courts in Acupulco already and he should be confident and comfortable going into this one. Giraldo doesn’t have a big serve and that’s where Krajicek can edge this. He has a great delivery himself when it’s going and he will hopefully be able to get stuck into Giraldo service games.

Also re Almagro, I think Cuevas was inside his head having beaten him twice already in 2015. But Almagro always bests Andujar. And Andujar was pretty poor against Fognini.

Last night Portland were winning by 12+ in last quarter but got beat by 6 off Memphis..both good teams so i can undurstand it. if it was a team like Knicks or 76ers that got beat then yeh..but Portland are good and at home even better…did something happen or do i need to look out for something?

the wet lettuce nothing happened do not be put of by prices from the bookies as a couple baskets will change all this. understand that memphis are one of those teams that never give up and are as solid as they come big defence in zach randolph and you really do have to keep at em or they will come back and beat you like last night i believe they went 12-0 run in the 4th quarter and portland trail blazers are a 3 point shooting team memphis stopped them form shooting 2 points which in some ways immobilised them, really great performance from the grizzlies it was just one of them games.
sorry just read that post and half of it doesnt make sense. what im trying to say is memphis shut down portlands 3 point shooting which essentially immobilised them in the 4th, letting memphis run a 12-0 lead in the 4th. then it came down to whos got the best defence and as you can imagine memphis wins.

Well Danny if you’ve got a spare couple of ton I’d put it on the Denver +2.5. I’d rather almost double a few hundred than not win anything.
For instance if you’re going to be winning £2000 from a tenner, if you’ve got the money I’d put at lease £500 on Denver +2.5.

What i do ..i know who the good tippers on here are now(to many to name, and dont want to miss someone off)..i look at what they put..study it if i am unsure at all then its no bet..if i agree yes thats got very good shout then its bet placed..works a lot more than loses.

Because that is effectively what you do when the things aren’t happening simultaneously then that is all rolled over on to Afghanistan. I just prefer doing the first bet then putting it all on the next, there’s no enhancement making it an accumulator

VP it’s funny you mention that as that’s exactly what happened when my cover bet won on the 22/1 and 33/2. I needed Cowboys -2.5, and covered on the Giants + 5.5. Think is was 31-28 to the Cowboys. Ended up with both accas and £300 odd from my cover.

When I said I might do an acca I’m talking about a small stake on 3/4/5 selections. Also, I’d rather put a tenner on a treble than do a rolling acca and end up putting 30 or 40 quid on the last selection. If that’s what you’re even talking about haha

Undoubtably it will have an effect. But I’m a big fan of a man with a good serve. And I don’t think Gabashvilli is good enough to break him or content his serve. I’d advise him here but definitely leave him alone deeper into the tournament.
Kevin Anderson is a fantastic player. Big server and steady when rallying , especially on the forehand. Brown is coming off the back of a great tournament and may be slightly more fatigued than a kevin Anderson who lost early to an on form Lu. I personally would not back against him to be honest mate

You’re probably right that Gabashvilli doesn’t have the tools to hurt Karlovic, but the last time Karlovic won a tournament he lost his next match a few days later and I was burned by that! He’s 36 in a few days and who knows how he’s decided to celebrate his first title in 18 months. One to avoid I think. I’m half expecting him to retire after the first set, and im tempted to back Gabashvilli with someone who pays out retirements of a set is completed.
Anderson should be too good for Brown. But Brown Is so good on those rare occasions he catches a red hot streak im always a little wary.

In their second match against Pakistan they hit 310 runs with 7 sixes and they conceded 160 runs, but just 2 sixes. Even though Pakistan were pathetic and completely collapsed for an embarrassing 160, the match still produced 9 sixes.
Zimbabwe should put up far more of a fight than Pakistan, as evidenced in their resilient innings of 277 against the dangerous attack of South Africa. In their 277 knock against South Africa they managed 7 sixes, conceded 339 runs, and 14 sixes. In their second match against UAE they managed 5 sixes in their knock of 286, whilst conceding 285 runs and 4 sixes.
So with both teams having played 2 matches, West Indies have hit 19 sixes, with the matches combined totalling 27 sixes (avg 13.5 per match).
Zimbabwe’s two matches have seen them hit 12 sixes, with the matches combined totalling 30 sixes (avg 15 per match).
Based purely on statistics, this match should see 14+ sixes. The only situation that could change things would be if Zimbabwe batted first and got a score of less than 200, meaning the Windies could take their time and not have to attack as much in the chase. However, I dont see this happening, as Zimbabwe looked resilient against a far stronger attack against South Africa, managing 270+ with 7 sixes.

When I bet on cricket I like to watch it tbf and as I say I’ve just done £25 on each of these to try and keep the wins ticking. As I say my staking plan on top batsman is slightly unorthodox. But it’s won me a lot of cash in the past.
