Ok bit of advice I had never done a trixie bet before tonight am i right in thinkin u have to get 2 of the 3 selections right EG a double to win anything. Because I got 1 of 3 goal scorers correct tonite and made a small profit. Can anyone explain thanks

  2. V P 4 years ago

You need two to get a return so one of your players probably didn’t start

  3. Peterb 4 years ago

Ah rite I c cheers was jus a bit confused lol my bad I never really new what a trixi e was I just went to doubles then a treble when doin 3 selection not knowing it’s same bet

Looked at Joe Root to be top england batsman also left it alone he is on 38 and i think you can safely say he is going to be top batsman for england choices choices choices. !!!

    Is wozniacki worth a lump?

    • Ad 4 years ago

Probs not worth a lump mate as there have been a few question marks about her health all week. But I personally think she is going to win. Haleps been well below her best for large chunks of the week and I think she will make a fair few more mistakes than Wozniaki. But if she raises her game or Wozniaki is feeling the effects of a hard week spent under the weather then it could well go the other way. I’ve taken her + 2.5 and in a straight win treble with Johnson to beat Karlovic and Bolelli to beat Monfils for a bit of fun.

  15. Ellis 4 years ago

I know that WI cricket is in dispute and they lost a horrendous upset to Ireland but I quite fancy them to beat a Pakistan side tonight who although have the bowling outfit regularly like the West Indies look shaky with the bat. Small stake of course as it could swing either way but value for the taking at 13/10?

  16. De Niro 4 years ago

    Not backed any tennis for last few days and wont be doing just cheering on my early picks;

    Wozniacki to win Dubai 10/1

    Simon to win Marseille 9/1

    • BRIAN 4 years ago

      Hello Redboy

Im working offshore and have internet issues at the past couple of days.

I had 2 loosers in a row, with the level stakes plan with B. Munich letting me down on the first and Ronnie O’Sullivan letting me down on the next bet.

      So stakes doubled to 80.

I was on Real Madrid / Zimbabwe / NZ treble @ 1.66 on Skybet

So to my relief NZ destroyed England this morning.

Will be back to level stakes again today and is looking like-
Juventus, Standard Leige (both in the football) 0.53/1
But will build it up to an even money treble with a NBA leg once i get time to have a study at tonight games.

  20. sfcmatty 4 years ago

Thanks harry for the cricket tip, and Jordan as always picking a winner in the nba

  21. Ad 4 years ago

Fognini is never a dead cert mate! I was really susprised and impressed by how good and focused he looked yesterday, but that by no means guarantees he will be good and focussed today. I’m leaving him well alone until he’s proven he can deliver on a consistent basis. Ferrer really should win and win 2-0. He does everything better than Monaco.

  22. Evo21up 4 years ago

Any thoughts on your second bet of your bank builder Ad?

  23. Ad 4 years ago

After much deliberation ive finally decided on the next bet. I would have liked to lump a few short priced favourites together but there just aren’t enough I completely trust not to get upset. Stakhovsky and Bolelli are both potentially dangerous enough to give me slight lingering doubts about Monfils and Wawrinka, and given Nadals struggles yesterday and Cuevas having lost only once in his last 30 + matches on clay I just cant bring myself to back Rafa. I wouId probably go with Ferrer and Wawrinka if I had a third leg to go with them , but as I don’t im going with the following:

    Rolling Acca leg 2:

    Halep v Wozniaki

    Over 21.5 games

Having gone over and over the possible ways this one may play out im really struggling to see this being anything other than a long, tense, back and forth struggle. I’m expecting breaks of serve to be traded from start to finish so don’t expect a relaxing ride, but my confidence in this coming in is higher than in any other options on the card today.

    Good luck

I didn’t mean dead cert it came out wrong I meant did you think they were “safe”. In fairness I agree with Fognini …. The guy has never won me money … Losing to poor players then more famously beating murray in the Davis cup costing me a few quid

I do however think he will win today so had £60 on a 3/1 treble

David Ferrer win vs Juan Monaco
Fabio Fognini win vs Federico Delbonis
    West Indies win vs Pakistan

Good luck Ellis. If Fabio plays like he did yesterday he will win. You never know with him though.

Huggy I’m tempted on the Pacers tonight too but I realise that’s a risky one. 76ers got rid of Carter-Williams and KJ McDaniels, they have like four first round draft picks for next season. Be a team to watch for sure at the draft.

  52. Harry 4 years ago

VP yes I do but I bet with my head not my heart. These odds on an England team in disarray are crazy. Completely based on reputation rather than form and it’s making me lots of profit. If I’m going to watch England lose anyway then I may as well make money from it! Obviously I quote how many points I’m staking to show my confidence in it like 10 points on the NZ/Zimb double and only 1 point on these long shots, but it’s good value considering England and Scotlands performances against NZ

  60. Ad 4 years ago

Spurred on, perhaps unwisely, by Stakhovsky enjoying the success I thought he might against Wawrinka (so far anyway) I’m putting up a final tip for the day (unrelated to the rolling acca)

    Pablo Cuevas + 4.5 games v Rafa Nadal @ 11/10
    Cuevas to win 2-0 @ 12/1

Rafa really struggled at times against PCB yesterday and if Cuevas believes in himself he can cause the King of Clay some problems here. Seeing as Cuevas hasn’t lost on clay in about three decades belief shouldn’t be a problem! Though Nadal is of course a different beast altogether. He will need to play really aggressively, but Nadal was making enough mistakes and looking vulnerable enough yesterday to suggest that someone with Cuevas’s craft and experience on clay will have a chance. If Rafa really ups his game, which is always possible, then it’s a huge ask for Cuevas, but I’m going to risk it, at small stakes of course.

  61. mrkrabs 4 years ago

if stan wins this set he will win the match in my opinion

Evening guys Warrington Wolves v St George Illawara

The Ryder cup of Rugby league starts tonight, and over the next three nights teams from Super league take on NRL sides, for the right to be crowned world club chmapions. While Saints v Souths is the main one another trophy will be awarded to either the Super league or the NRL. Warrington start this evening as 6pt favourites.

Warrington have the edge in fitness and being at home, they have also only conceded 14pts in their opening two games. I do believe St George will pose their biggest test of the season so far. They made Benji Marshall their big off season acquisition and he will partner Great Britons Gaz Widdop in the halves. I think the winner will come from who plays better in the halves with Warrington boasting Richie Myler and Gareth O’Brien.

The NRL season is still a fortnight away so they may still be underdone for this, had they had a hit out and Marshall & Widdop have had a chance to gel, I would be all over St George on the handicap, however it is a risk just knowing how match ready they are. I do think they will do something no team as done to Warrington this season and that is score O2.5tries which is 8/11 Skybet.

In the try scorer market I like both wingers, Kevin Penny and Jason Nightingale. These are both try scoring machines, Penny as scored 29 tries in 43 and has been given a second chance at the Wolves. He has speed to burn and with the experienced Joel Monaghan playing inside him in the centre he can create opportunities for him. Some may remember the four nations final when NZ faced Australia in the final, I tipped Nightingale to score in that he grabbed two. He ended that tournament as the top scorer and has scored 81 tries in 179 games for the Dragons. Penny is 5/4 while Nightingale is 11/8 at Skybet.

Good luck if your having a bet

Early tip for tomorrows Dubai final:

    Halep v Pliskova over 20.5 games @ 9/10

This seems low. Halep is favourite but she has played enough ropey stuff this week to give Pliskova hope. Pliskova just keeps on winning. IF she serves well she can’t be written off. In her last three matches she has beaten Sarfarova and Muguruza and both were in top form coming into it, and that can’t be sniffed at. Her last three matches hve gone well over 20.5 games, all being long three setters, and Halep’s last two have been up and down three setters as well. She’s never faced the Pliskova serve before and that could help the underdog out.

  67. Ad 4 years ago

Only seems to be available with Stan James right now, i’m hoping it will be the same bar with some other bookies when the odds appear, though I fear they may go over 21.5. We shall see.

  75. Harry 4 years ago

    Cricket World Cup

England to be eliminated in group stage

    9/2 Skybet

    1 point

4 teams from England’s pool will qualify for the quarter finals. Australia and New Zealand are guaranteed to go through, and Sri Lanka should qualify comfortably in 3rd place. The 4th spot should be a straight fight between England and Bangladesh, the other 2 test nations. England are favourites ahead of Bangladesh to qualify but I don’t see too much of a gulf in class at the moment, and Bangladesh can give anyone a scare with the in form Shakib.

The other reason for going with Bangladesh is because their game tonight with Australia could be potentially rained off due to a storm. If it does get rained off then both teams draw and get one point each, which would give them a huge advantage over England who got thrashed by the aussies. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this price drop if Bangladesh do get a point against Australia.

  76. Harry 4 years ago

I’d rather win the bet to be honest as I had 10 points on it which is the most I’d usually stake in any one day. Also, even if England did win and sink my bet, it would only be prolonging a heavy loss to a better team in the next round. They’re going to get embarrassed anyway as they’re nowhere near good enough for this tournament at the moment

    • Jordan 4 years ago

Haha but atleast Teddy started to look good this season! I’ve watched a bit of the combine today and it’s the QB’s tomorrow so I’ll have to check in. I saw you have taken Bostick, the onside kick fumbler off of the Packers hands. Also seen AP isn’t sure if he wants to play for you if he’s allowed back this season. That would be a shame, not that I’ve ever seen him play, but he says he’s lost his trust.

  79. Harry 4 years ago

Ad I couldn’t bet against arsenal or England football team but with England in an ODI I find it a lot easier to look at it fairly and not be biased. Thankfully the bookies are still pricing England based on reputation and not form

  80. Jordan 4 years ago

Win the bet every day of the week.

  81. V P 4 years ago

Completely agree Ad. And Harry I was just talking generally but I can understand wanting to win the bet if you had an amount on it but I’d just never do it. You’re right about England but it’s not helping them picking what I think’s the wrong team. Most of their top four are test batsmen who just can’t hit runs quickly enough then get out when they try to. It wouldn’t be so bad if they actually stayed in and built a platform for the likes of Morgan Buttler but they’re moteven doing that

  82. Jordan 4 years ago

If I had a bet on over 2.5 goals in a United game and we lost 2-1, I’d be upset but that’s football. The bet still wins and my pockets get fatter :)

  83. honda 4 years ago

  86. V P 4 years ago

Think West Indies might win this especially if Gayle gets some runs

  87. Harry 4 years ago

VP they’re a complete mess, they’ve fallen so far behind the likes of SA, AUS, NZ etc. The selection process doesn’t make any sense either like you say, it seems very stubborn, for example Taylor coming in at 3 and playing well then getting dropped straight back down to 6. And tredwell being the best English ODI bowler over the last year or so. They need to catch up with the others by going down the franchise route in my opinion as hardly any of our players go to the IPL or big bash and aren’t getting the same experience and practice. I’d rather see hales in there too as we need a maverick type player in the mould of McCullum.

Honda yes I made the comparison yesterday with England at the football world cup, and rangers this season, and man United last season etc. being priced up on reputation

  88. Harry 4 years ago

VP I can’t see them wanting it enough or putting in enough effort, based on their past few performances. But both teams are notoriously inconsistent so should be a good match

Hales and Bopara should both be in and having a part time bowler as your spinner and basically a main line bowler who’ll bowl 10 doesn’t work. Couldn’t believe they bought Ballance in in the first match as Bopara offers so much more and Taylor at three would definitely have been the way forward

  91. V P 4 years ago

Both full of mavericks and I do think West Indies want it you just have to look at Sammy. Imagine how good Pakistans bowling would be if they had Amir and Asif but they got corrupted. I rate Afridis bowling quite highly as well

Taylor should definitely have stayed in at 3, for some reason it feels like ballance is their golden boy of English cricket and immune from criticism

Jordan, I watch the draft, but the combine is difficult some guys don’t participate in certain drills or sit out. March 10th is a day you want to circle in your calendar, that’s the opening day of free agency, it is like the last day of Transfer deadline day, with Rich Eisen the Jim White of total access :)

    • Jordan 4 years ago

I had the NFL Network on when I got home so caught some of the Tight End drills, wasn’t that impressed but they did say that the highest draft prediction is round 2 for Tight Ends. Free agency will be exciting. Which begs the question, who is your NFL team chief? Or do you not like to give that information out haha

      • thechief 4 years ago

Jordan, haha I don’t give my teams out just because I very rarely back on them, the excitement of the game whatever sport is enough for me, especially if they win :) to be honest I always look for reasons why my teams wont win rather then why they will win, so I try and look at every game whatever sport objectively and try find the best bet.

MVG in the darts is the only one I say I back every tournament because I been to a few darts tournaments and I was on him a few years back at 20/1 when he won the Grand prix (was his 1st pdc major), and have been a big fan of his ever since.

        • Jordan 4 years ago

Fair play chief it’s probably better to be that way, I am as open as can be when it comes to United though, especially since Fergie left. I think we’ll do the business tomorrow though, hopefully Falcao is benched and Rooney is further up the pitch, needs to get Mata involved but he doesn’t seem to like him. I think Fellaini would be good playing behind Rooney and Van Persie because Rooney is going to drop back no matter how high he starts up the pitch. Only thing I’m worried about tomorrow is Sigurdsson but he’s not going to beat us on his own.

I’ll keep an eye out for the NFL team you don’t back next season then ;)

Hold on, it’s not the Jaguars is it? Hahahaha

  103. Jordan 4 years ago

    Pacers Huggy ;)

    • huggybear 4 years ago

      struggling.. u on em

      • Jordan 4 years ago

Struggling? 18 up at HT. Yeah mentioned them today when I said about the Sixers trading two of their starting 5.

  104. WN 4 years ago

Atlanta Hawks playing like a bunch of clowns here, its amateur hour.

  105. Don_Corleone 4 years ago

Atlanta Hawks not being funny but that’s just unacceptable 13 points lol are they joking

  106. Jordan 4 years ago

Boys, lets face it, Raptors aren’t exactly a crap team. A lot of depth with outside scorers.

Anybody on my Timberwolves bet can cover on the Suns @ 15/4 @ Co-ral. Good enough for an 8/11 bet.

  107. Jordan 4 years ago

You don’t know either they might have had an injury in play to someone key? Is anyone watching it? 30 points though? Wow.

  108. Jordan 4 years ago

The 608/1 is down thought which I’m not happy about haha

  109. the wet lettuce 4 years ago

    Huggy/Jordan others?

I had 76ers in acca +11 in acca so very lucky it ended up being pushed. They should of got beat by way more i think.

My question..Fairly new to NBA and loving it so what i would like to know is..Drafts i am unsure on and you were saying 76ers/knicks could take beatings to get better drafts etc? So i need to understand that better when making my picks?

    Hawks? What the hell lol

    Cheers guys.

    • Jordan 4 years ago

Wet Lettuce the trade (transfer) deadline finished yesterday and the 76ers got rid of two of their best players for draft picks next season, same with the Suns. I’m a bit unsure of the NBA but in the NFL, all the best players from the college teams get invited to the combine where they get scouted in drills of their position, then in April they’ll get picked by the teams in the NFL. The worst team gets the first pick, followed by second worst team gets the second, and so on. So teams perhaps like the Sixers who are going to get nothing will try and get the best possible picks early so they can get the best college players and build for the future. It’s a good way of improving teams for the next season. They even do it in the American Football League (MLS).

    magic 19/10 won !!!
    phi 13/4 lost !!!
    pis21/10 won !!!

    treble lost !!!

lets hope timber win jordon on them because of you :)

    hopefully a strong 4th

need them and Celtics for a nice amount

  111. Don_Corleone 4 years ago

Not at all Jordan raptors are one of the best and have been up there for quite some time good young squad but wow Atlanta are starting to play like the Atlanta Falcons Atlanta Hawks do not have the quality say Cleveland have and so on but they have been in fine form the 1st half of the season, imo the Hawks were just in-form and I have a feeling the 1st half of the season is going to be a waste. Houston also getting a lesson. Well guys WELCOME BACK TO THE NBA well done Jordan on your pick I covered that

    • Jordan 4 years ago

Don the Falcons! I actually laughed out loud there haha

  112. Don_Corleone 4 years ago

This isn’t us sport but TOMMOROW palace vs arsenal thought I would point this out to the goodfellas of this thread arsenal to beat palace @ 5/6 :s I know they are away and all but with a European game coming up I can’t see palace being to much of a hurdle after how they tore apart Middlesbrough different leagues but they’ve hit some fine form.

  113. Don_Corleone 4 years ago

Roll on the NFL this NBA has put me on a comedown

    • Jordan 4 years ago

Don I second that mate, the chief, DeAndre and Lee got me into the NFL and I actually think I like it more than football. Such a good sport to watch when you know what’s happening, and with my purchase of Madden 15 on the Xbox One I’m now hooked haha

I’m on Arsenal, West Brom and Manchester United to score @ EVS @ WillHill

Smaller bet on Tom Ince Anytime @ 21/10 @ BV

Then a tenner on the three above to score twice @ 23/3 @ WillHill.

  114. the wet lettuce 4 years ago

    Spot on Jordan cheers mate.

  115. Jordan 4 years ago

Shit is ones getting tight. Hopefully the Wolves can win it.

I covered Mr Fish so won’t be a huge problem but fingers crossed mate.

  116. Don_Corleone 4 years ago

Jordan you should purchase nba 2k on xbox 1, I had a few madden games when I was kid and I had absolutely no idea what I was doing on the plays but I still loved it I might have to invest in madden as a matter of fact.

I don’t think il ever be able to say I prefer any sport over football, as a lifelong gunner and witnessing Thierry Henry and bergkamp as a kid at Highbury many a times there’s to much passion there although betting wise American sports are heads and shoulders above football in my opinion. So many games on at one time it’s getting the right ones luckily so many good tipsters on this thread if your bet loses someone else’s saves the day. Haha eg. Timberwolves hopefully.

  117. Jordan 4 years ago

SS Minnesota Timberwolves ML @ 8/11 @ Skybet **WIN**

Who tips a team with 6 wins from 27 home games to win haha, made me sweat again but another winner in the books. Waiting on the Bucks to win on the 5 fold then cover on the Spurs available @ 3/1 @ various if anyone followed.

  118. Jordan 4 years ago

Right I’m hoping the Bucks win and I’m going to cover on the Spurs anyway as it was only a fun bet. the 20% on top pays 56/10 so I’m covering on the Spurs @ 3/1. And there’s that t**t on the football thread booming his BTTS winners, please!

    • Mr Fishman 4 years ago

well done jordon hopefully a good day all round ive cashed out on the celtics for my acc hope they lose

hoping for utd che and ars now skybet 5/1 and tonnes of other stuff

  119. Jordan 4 years ago

Cheers Mr Fish! Imagine picking and odds on favourite to win in a football game with 6 wins from 27 home games haha

Don my mate has 2k but he said it’s stupid because the players slide around everywhere on the court and it’s too small. It’s probably got nothing on NBA Jam from my Sega Megadrive days anyway :D

  120. Don_Corleone 4 years ago

Well done Jordan lad. Yes nba jam and nba street they don’t make um like that no more, who’s that h**preet ? That dude is attention seeking constantly pretty cringey.

  121. Don_Corleone 4 years ago

Mr fish 5/1 looks a steal

  122. huggybear 4 years ago

    liking the cavs -3 (WIN BY 38) and hawks -5.5 , also miami -6 with carmello-less knicks.(WIN BY 24)

gonna have a smallish bet on celtic kings ova 204 , both heavy scorers on their day , gonna try Minnesota Timberwolves ht -1 lead (WIN BY 10).
