THAT'S the end of a tricky week and hopefully we can look forward to a good weekend.

There have been too many dead rubbers and EFL Trophy ties for my liking and it's been low stakes and not many winners, not many losers.

Last night started well with Osmanlispor bringing up the Super Single. Feeling a bit cocky I added another but Charlie Austin's chances of scoring for Southampton were over when he went off injured in the first half as they crashed out to Hapoel Beer Sheva.

At least the last-gasp Saints equaliser brought up my even-money members bet.

However, Southampton not winning downed the Top Treble and the btts treble wasn't close.

Tonight we have two interesting games in England and Scotland with Brighton taking on Leeds and Partick Thistle hosting Celtic.

Both the Championship sides are in good form but Brighton could edge it with home advantage and move top ahead of Newcastle.

Celtic's only worry is having played Man City on Tuesday so they could be a bit leggy – I've posted a separate preview on the game.

One bet I like is both to score at Eintracht Frankfurt v Hoffenheim in Bundesliga. Both are going well and scoring and conceding while Hoffenheim are unbeaten on the road.

There should also be goals at Dijon v Marseille. The visitors' only defeat in four was at Monaco and they seem to have got their act together. Four of Dijon's last five have been high scoring with two 3-3 draws and a 3-2 defeat.

Malaga like playing Granada at home – they've netted 16 goals in five meetings and at least two in each of them.

Elsewhere there are Jupiler League games for goals and French Ligue 2 fixtures that Greg is likely to post tips for so watch for them.

In fact Jordan's already tipped Top Oss to win at home to Fortuna Sittard and I had goals in mind for their game. They should win and as he says while they are too short to score 2+ it's fine on a double so let's go with that and btts at Hoffenheim.

We've all won money backing Top Oss goals in recent weeks – they've hit 27 in nine games and eight in their last two – so I'm happy to try a 2pts Super Single on the Dutch side to score 3+ at 42-25 with Marathonbet.

I'm adding a Top Treble – Malaga to make it six home wins in a row against Granada and over 2.5 match goals at Partick and Dijon.

No show in Holland with Feyenoord pummeling Fenerbaches half but no goal. Could I please have a punters enquiry from Mr O on how there were no more goals? :)

Anyway onto tonight and thankfully it’s Friday, which I now call, Oss-day. The Dutch outfit have been sensational at producing and conceding goals over the past couple of weeks against tough opposition, and incredibly have 13 goals in their last 3. The visitors Sittard have lost 7 of their last 10 games, and 7 of their 8 road games. As bad as Oss have been at keeping clean sheets, current form suggest they should get the victory and you can get them on the WDW. Very short to score twice but wouldn’t shy away from putting it in a double. Doing something I rarely do and backing the WDW. Hopefully no problems and I’d even be inclined on the -1AH @ 5/4 @ 365.

    Dutch Eerste – 7:00PM

    Top Oss To Win @ 4/5 @ Betright – 5 points

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Oss have been amazing for goals especially. Might put the 2+ in a double with btts at Eintracht. In fact why not.

    • mr. orange 7 years ago

It was a terrible game for Feyenoord standards, none of the players were able to do the things they do in the Dutch league. Both teams didn’t create a lot chances and the Fenerbache goal was due to a defensive howler by Karsdorp. 15 mins into the second half you already could see Feyenoord was never going to score. Fenerbache is a quality side and were very comfortable defending the 1 goal lead.

It’s just the level of Dutch football against bigger clubs in Europe. You could really see the difference in quality last night. They can spent 10 times the transferbudget that Dutch clubs can and unfortunaly that gap will become and bigger and bigger. I think clubs will be more careful buying players from the Dutch league. Players like Depay and Janssen were sensational and topscorers in the league before they moved abroad. We all know where they are now, that says it all really. Maybe that’s something to keep in mind when Dutch teams play in Europe.

I can’t argue with backing FC Oss. They are on the up and Fortuna haven’t won since their 3 point deduction in September. I will try to get some team news later. One important player out for Fortuna is midfielder Jorrit Smeets, who was in the starting XI the last couple of games.

    Australian A League
    Sydney FC v Melbourne City

Melbourne have only failed to net once in there last 16 games (including preseason). That was 6 games ago in a 1-0 reverse @ Brisbane Roar.

Bruno Fornaroli (7 goals), Fernando Brandan (2 goals, 3 assists) and Tim Cahill (2 goals, 1 assist), lead the line for Melbourne City. Having watched them on multiple occasions this season there stats could be double what they are based on chances created. Sydney are stubborn. Especially at home.

Sydney are 1/5 to score a goal whereas Melbourne are 4/11. Given they are first and second in the A-league 4/11 seems too big.

The last 4 Sydney home games have had under 10 corners (if only just) @ 6, 8, 9, 1. With a predicted tight affair against Melbourne, a price of 29/20 about under 10 corners again is worth a shot.

SELECTION: Melbourne City To Score @ 4/11

    OUTSIDER: Total Match Corners – Under 10 @ 29/20

SPECULATIVE: Under 2.5 Goals and Under 10 Corners and 4-6 Cards @ 7/1

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Good write-up – will keep an eye on it.

    • stagger 7 years ago

Going on that write-up, both to score looks very tempting at 7/10 with Coral. Bit worried about the ‘Sydney are stubborn’ bit, but yes, I’m on it for a few quid.

    • stagger 7 years ago

Sydney red. That’s torn it for the BTTS surely.

    Morning folks

Based on the respective teams ability to score and concede within relative time periods I am going to be on the following.

Malaga to score 1st half 8/11
Frankfurt to score before 50th min 5/6

    And the double 2.13/1

As for the Aussie game this morning, its looks really tough to call. Despite Sydney’s position at the top of the league I have been really dissapointed in their standard of play last few games. Melbourne on the other hand, create so many chances to score I just feel at some point it will click and given the fiery game last time out and todays chance to close the gap at the top to 3pts, and their more favourable H2H against Sydney, the following prices are too big and worth small punts.

    Melbourne City O 1.5 TGs 7/4
    Melbourne City O 2.5 TGs 6/1

    Good luck gentlemen :)

    • boomshackle 7 years ago

Both Aussie bets lost if they weren’t so busy diving and cheating they might have scored 2 so the Sydney equaliser was fair justice.

    Partick Thistle v Celtic

Celtic have netted at least two goals on each of there last 8 visits to Partick Thistle. Thistle haven’t managed to score more than 1 goal in any of those games. Therefore Celtic – Race To 2 Goals is a relatively straightforward pick @ 4/11.

On each of the last 3 occasions the sides have met at Firhill Celtic have scored a single goal in the first half. Celtic (depending on how many changes are made) will be somewhat leggy from there Champions League game while Thistle will most definitely be looking to keep things tight early in the game. Celtic do possess too much quality for Thistle and will eventually break them down. 29/20 about Celtic netting a solitary goal in the first half is decent value.

Out of Celtic’s 16 SPFL first half goals this season, 56.25% (9) have been scored between the 30th-45th minutes. The average time of there first goal scored away from home this season is 27 minutes. The average time of Thistle conceding there first goal in a home match is 49 minutes.

Effectively i’m predicting a relatively tight game where Celtic will dominate throughout but be limited with clear goalscoring opportunities. As half-time approaches and concentrating levels begin to falter, Celtic should be able to find a breakthrough. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if first Celtic goal in this game is by way of a set-piece.

SELECTION: Race To 2 Goals Celtic @ 4/11

OUTSIDER: Celtic First Half Total Goals One @ 29/20

SPECULATIVE: Time of first Celtic Goal 30th minute-Half Time @ 7/2

    Troyes v Auxerre

Troyes (9-4-4, 31pts) currently sit top of the French Ligue 2 and entertain a Auxerre (3-9-5, 14pts) side who occupy 19th place.

Troyes have only tasted defeat once in there last thirteen games. That was two games ago in a tough 2-1 reverse away to second place Brest (also 9-4-4, 31pts). The other 12 games have yielded 9 wins and 3 draws. They have won there last 5 home Ligue 2 games, conceding only 1 goal while doing so.

Auxerre’s results have picked up in recent weeks and there last five games read as 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. However if you scratch the surface you can see that 2 of those wins were against lower division sides in cup competitions with the other being a 2-0 home win against 10th placed Nimes. You have to go back 8 games for there last away French Ligue 2 win and even then that came against 15th placed Bourg en Bresse. In the 7 games following that they have mustered 2 draws (both 0-0) and 5 losses. In the most recent of those 0-0’s there opponents (5th placed Aimens SC) had double the number of shots on goal, shots off goal and corners as Auxerre did as well as having 2/3 of the possession. All signs point toward a home win.

    SELECTION: Troyes Win @ 5/6

OUTSIDER: Troyes Win and Under 2.5 Goals @ 12/5

    Afternoon gents

    It’s a tricky looking card tonight –
Took a bit longer to find something than usual

Troyes v Auxerre over 1.5 goals
Partick v Celtic ober 2.5 goals

The French Legaue has been a favourite hunting ground for me of the past 3 or 4 season and it’s been another good season sor for with most my Friday NAP’s coming from here! It’s a tricky card today though so taking top of the table Troyes to see two goals against a poor Auxerre side! Don’t need to say much about the Celtic game , they looking like they could score 3-4 goals every week

    Double pays 11/10 (Ladbrokes) (NAP)

    Fortuna Duseldorf v Nurnberg

Two sides who have both seen goals in. Their respective home and away matches, Thw visited in paticular who are over 2.5 goals in 7 of their last 8 with Both sides scoring in 7 of those! Should see both teams getting in on the act, over 2.5, BTTS and BTTS & over 2.5 all in with a good shout! Interestingly, 14 of the last 16 meetings between the sides here have seen both teams score!

Back over 2.5 match goals 4/5

As always will have loose change on goals on all the matches in France and Holland

Good luck with your bets tonight ??⚽️

Absolute crud with the Bolivian pick last night so hoping for a shot at redemption and a late night visit to a league that’s been a cracker so far…

MORVANT CALEDONIA UNITED VS. POINT FORTIN 22.00 KO:

Second bottom MVC take on the Mighty (Shitey) Point Fortin who are still rock.bottom and boasting that massive haul of 1 point after 9 games!

Hopefully a few got on the Defence Force fancy last time out and it finished 7-2 – don’t think we’ll see a repeat but it certainly won’t be a bore-draw.

MVC hold recent bragging rights and despite Fortin’s appalling record, they usually bag at least a goal so maybe worth keeping BTTS on side…also liking the look of early goals again!

5 selections to consider – I’ll be on each at relative stakes and would consider the initial pick fantastic value:

    OVER 3.5 MGS…10/11

    OVER 4.5 MGS…2/1

    OVER 1.5 FHGS…21/20

    BTTS 2ND HALF…2/1

    BTTS BOTH HALVES…12/1

    German Bundesliga

    Hertha BSC v Werder Bremen

I really like this bet for the late kick-off in Berlin tomorrow and I don’t need a long write up for this one. Hertha (3rd) are at home against Werder Bremen (14th). Bremen have the worst defence in the league, conceding 32 goals in 13 games. Hertha have won all their home games this season scoring 2+ in all of them. (2-1,2-0,2-0,2-1,3-0 and 2-1). Bremen haven’t won away from home, only collecting 2 points against lower ranked Darmstadt and HSV. They have conceded 2+ in all of them. (6-0,4-1,2-2,3-1,3-1 and 2-2).

Hertha BSC to win and over 1.5 goals @ 2.00 with Stanjames

Over 1.5 goals trebpe in at 11/10, for folk that were asking earlier it was in the Friday TV requestabets section but once they reach a certain amount on each they withdraw them so that’s probably why it disappeared

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

Evening @thetoe sir – Huachipato looks a corker for goals pal – BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS pays 5/6 and looks as bulletproof as you can get – 6 of the last 7 saw the green light…6/5 for Over 3.5 MGS looks good to!

      Good luck ?

Shot at redemption and a late night visit to a league that’s been a cracker so far…

    ***WON***

    OVER 1.5 FHGS…21/20

    ***WON***

    BTTS 2ND HALF…2/1

    ***WON***

    BTTS BOTH HALVES…12/1

    ***WON***

Final score 2-2 and 1 goal short for the 2/1 Over 4.5 MGS and Full House.

    In-play and a short (?) journey over to NZ…

TEAM WELLINGTON U20 VS. TASMAN UNITED U20:

0-0 heading into h/t but no way this will end goal-less.

Second half goals to come and well worth a pop at Over 2.5 MGS at 8/13

      Finished 2-0 and a goal shy…lost

  66. Jordan 7 years ago

Hi gents. Oss continued their scoring and conceding run last night and luckily I got them on the WDW at a decent price despite still covering the advised -1AH.

Today I’m going for goals in a League One game that involves two teams who have conceded the most amount of goals over their last five games.

Bristol Rovers host Bury with both sides looking to pick up a win. The last time either side tasted 3 points was a 2-1 win for Bristol Rovers over Fleetwood on the first day of November. Only one clean sheet at home this season with 8 of 10 going over 2.5. As we know Bury have been good to the goal punter over the past few weeks. 10 losses on the bounce with 27 goals conceded isn’t good averages for any side so Bury will need to start picking up points sooner or later. Both have scored in 13 of Bury’s last 16 and with Bristol leaking the goals recently I expect the same again today

    Bristol Rovers/Bury BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals @ 21/20 @ 365 – 2 points
    ___________________________________________________________________________________________

    December Totals

      Perth Glory Over 1.5 Team Goals @ 4/6 @ BoyleSports – 3 points

  67. HullShaker 7 years ago

Evening Jordan – hope you are well pal. Looks a great shout – this is our worst run in the history of the club.

With a raft of players still out, it is just dire – but, Vaughan and Major playing so there’s every chance we’ll make a mark on the scoresheet!

    Good luck.

“I’m taking Hullshaker’s o3.5mgs and adding a game in the Aussie Youth League.

    Morvant v Point Fortin o3.5mgs (10pm)
Newcastle Jets v FFA Centre of Excellence o4.5mgs (11.30pm)
The double is 5/2 at Coral.” – nothing doing.
Hull did the bizzo of course but the Aussie game finished just 2-0. When the second one went in on 7 minutes the odds for over 4.5mgs was 2/9! Sod’s Law that nothing more happened.

  69. HullShaker 7 years ago

Some interesting FA Trophy games tomorrow and will have proper look in the morning but matches involing Buxton and Flyde look great for goals as do a few more!

Aside from that, a couple of other picks stand out…

OMAR BOGLE ATGS…6/4 – Portsmouth are always susceptible to an away goal and if anyone’s going to find the onion bag, my money is on the legend!

TNS VS. CARDIFF MET – The Uni lads gave TNS a tough game at the start of the season and have been a bit of a surprise package – well worth keeping the away goal on side and for all their dominance, The Saints are always vulnerable at the back.

    OVER 3.5 MGS…EVENS

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…15/8

Best of luck with all bets ?

  70. HullShaker 7 years ago

    In-play msybe worth a look…

    CORDOBA VS. VILLA DALMINE:

1-1 early doors and 10/11 for another in the 1st half looks way to generous ?
